Just a quick reminder that at
0800 GMT (4am EDT) tomorrow morning (3/29) Act 3 and the Casino Event will officially end….
This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.
As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Lol. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…
- Questlines linked directly to the progression of the Event will go. Like the Main Questlines that pulled you through all 3 Acts.
- However, the questlines linked directly the the prizes you’ve won will remain. (so Reclusive Burns, Arthur & Gabbo etc)
- The event removal will require an app store update to fully remove it from your game. So don’t panic when 0800 GMT hits and the event isn’t out of your game… It will require an app store update to remove everything. Usually those hit around 1-2pm (EDT)
I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of collection as far as you can. If you turn OFF the auto update feature in your App Market, you may give yourself an extra day or so… just know that ANY time after the 29th is borrowed time and you are doing so at YOUR OWN RISK. EA can force the update at anytime after the 19th and make you update. So use any extra time wisely and get what you need before you have to remove the Event completely.
So tap those last few gamblers and relax and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.

I still can collect poker chips, and my task for today was collect show tickets but they don’t add to my bonuts
The ability to earn bonuts vanished as the official event clock reached zero. Did that happen for everyone else as well? I recall winning more bonuts in past events after the clock hit zero, before the game forced the removal of the event.
The chance to earn more bonuts disappeared at the official end time, and I’ve crafted all I can so not going to bother tapping gamblers anymore and no point sending anyone on a task in the casino but don’t want to send any character on anything in case something NEW happens 🙂
Act 3 ends but the only thing that has really ended is the High Roller Bonus. Seriously. You can still collect chips and craft but no more bonuts!
You can still collect chips but the prizes now costs donuts. The only reason to collect is the chance to get crafting resources…
Well event is still here but bonuts are gone (sad face). I am ready to move on, no more gam… uuuh a token (runs to moes slot machine).
Oh no, you can no longer earn bonuts…. I had only 400 chips left to complete the bonut round 🙁
So it’s 45+ minutes after the deadline…
No update available for iOS as yet in the App Store.

Daily Challenge: collect key chains (skipped it and have to collect yoga mats!!!! Where’s me bonut? 😊)

Not sure if you can still finish the prizes because I have them but I would presume so…? Hope that if you are close to the final prize(s) you manage to do it!

I checked in my other game, and chips are worthless. You have to pay donuts to get act 3 prizes.
Logged in this evening and gamblers still about but Bonut opportunity has gone. I have crafted some extra bits and bobs with my materials and satisfied that I am done. I enjoyed this event. Got all the prizes without too much difficulty and some awesome buildings and characters. Springfield Falls topped it off nicely
I like a lot of others had finished the quest line, and was earning donuts. But the game has disabled the ability to earn currency for extra donuts. Clearing gamblers will still earn you 20 chips, but they are worthless because the task to collect 8500 chips has gone as at 8:01 am GMT. I was on 6000 chips. Gutted
I squeezed out 4 rounds of bonuts minutes before the end. Then for the first time ever I used up all my crafting currency. I had nearly 500 of each. I’ll never use 9 Nero fountains but hey… about 10 minutes after the timer ran out I got the Bart screen and still getting tokens but think the bonuts are gone, I’ll keep collecting just in case but the counter is gone from my task bar. Can still craft but in out of currency and really have hundreds of fountains so not going to worry about it.
I’m already using 4 fountains and can foresee a use for a few more. I think I might have 9, too. 🙂
I also crafted like crazy last night. I think I only did about 5 or 6 of Nero’s fountain, but I got several of the other fountains and then a ton of exotic trees and ficus plants. I like greenery in my town, what can I say? Then I also went ahead and just got a bunch of star tiles, so as not to waste my crafting resources. I doubt I’ll use everything, but I have them just in case.
I love the exotic trees too. Crafted a bunch of those but only 3 ficus plants. They look almost identical to the SH planters you can craft with furniture unless you zoom all the way in. The trees have a lot if potential though!
BTW I’m looking really forward to seeing Yr town. I honestly haven’t done neighbor visits since act 2 and think I only visited like 3 times the whole event. So all my neighbors should have some pleasant surprises.
Oh thanks Ryan! I stopped doing neighbour visits for most of the event. They’re just SO damn time consuming and neighbours got no benefits for visits during the event anyway.
Yeah I think I only did 3 full cycles of friends during the event. It took almost two hours each time
I love those fountains! I used two for Neros casino, one at Burns mansion, and I have 4 left over for decorating the other mansions.
I’m just not a fan of multiples. Trees, fences, the sequence fountains, fine but anything that looks one of a kind I try to keep it original. Plus my friend who got me into this game likes to play ‘where’s Waldo’ in my town.
Ya I don’t like having multiples either. I only have one of each house (I think..), one Kwik E Mart and two Krusty Burgers. I hate farms. I keep stuff out if it generates income but I don’t go crazy with it. I crafted a bunch of ski chalets for example but they don’t have a whole lots of different design options.
Forty mins past event. Event still running. But I think they removed the bonuts earning features .. Short of 1000 chips to bonuts.
The crafting, collecting chips from NPCs and sending characters to casino continues, but ability to get bonuts disappeared when timer reached 0.
I’m not gonna send the characters back, but I let them finish tonight because maybe the tokens will get me another crafting item.
Somehow I just sailed through this event. I’ll see if I can squeeze another 3 bonuts out before updating 🙂

Wow, this time they were really fast to take down the bonuts.
I wasn’t angry about it (maybe) but isn’t that just dumb? That was part of the fun/torture — playing until the forced update.
I’m just wondering how homer’s house of cards et al will work after the event ends…

Bonuts is gone, but my daily challenge is to collect key chains…
Crafting is still active. Mine had a reward of 1350 tokens… um, completely useless. I x’ed that mutha’. (Got cash…but I’ll x that until I get donuts.)
I had the same as you, except reward was coasters. x’ed it out and got 3 donuts for doing a 60 mins weather report – yay!!!!
lucky. Now I’m avoiding a 60 minute task for EVERYONE for my daily challenge. 🙁 lol
Sad times for players in England.. the app events used to end / start at 8am but it was daylight saving at the weekend and all the clocks have changed so now all updates and daily challenges etc start at 9 am!!
So much for my cheeky get ahead of the game before work tactic!! 🙁

Similar issue for me… In South Africa the daily challenge (and the monorail) start at 10am. Which is usually right as I start work!
Was tricky during the event because I would have to tap on enough gamblers that I could start getting more but not too many in case the daily challenge involved them in some way. So I would tap a couple and then close it until 10am. If I stuck around then I just couldn’t resist tapping the little blighters!
I have loved this event. It was really fun and interesting. I especially loved crafting all the items and I found it a lot easier to get through than previous events. The bonus were awesome, I started the event with 40 donuts and I’m finishing with 134! Brilliant.
Have loved this event. Have been waiting for Burns Casino for a very long time, never thought it would come as a full event! I’m surprised that Homer didn’t earn a casino skin or have a permanent task at Burns Casino, but not to worry. What I do like is that EA seem to be starting to utilise new buildings with at least 1 character interacting with it – have noticed some exisiting buildings now have character tasks which is great. Always felt there were a number of unloved and unused buildings in the game. Looking forward to the next update/event 🙂
Each team might have a different plan. I’m not expecting the next event to follow suit just yet. But I also love that each building has at least one task. Hopefully they’ll add more to our non-event buildings soon.

This post has reminded me i actually didn’t finish the main quest, too busy gambling to pay heed to it. Hopefully i can squeak another 24 hours before the update. Have a heart EA, Mr Burns needs to appreciate those bathing Beauties.
Also regretting using Martinis to upgrade crafting, i have tons of left over handcuffs (keychains whatever) but not enough martinis for another set of sequence fountains.
Still, best event in a long time. Kudos EA.
I had too many martinis left over, so I no longer regret using them to upgrade. In fact, I should have used more.
I’m wanting the slots machine to stick around and give us chances to win cash, mystery prizes and donuts!
Who said that the crafting resources were coming too slow? In the end I have spent too much time crafting things to send them into storage…
Loved this event so much! Ended up being easy to get all prizes and craft. Thank goodness this event was easier to accommodate busier schedules. Loved the theme too. I’ve gotten tons of bonuts and tons of fountains to use. That being said, I’m glad it’s coming to a close and can’t wait for what’s next. 🙂
Apologies if you have already posted this but do we know what is going to happen after the end of the event, is the casinos going to be still fuctionial? Maybe like the Springfield Downs?

Don’t forget to craft those purple courtesy chips into blue poker chips. Ten courtesy chips will get you 100 blue poker chips…
