Wild West 101: Town Plaza Jobs (Act 3)

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Time to hitch up the wagons and head out west, because the Wild West has hit our Springfields! With bandits to tie up, guns to sling, gold to pan & gold ole’ Homer getting everyone all riled up!

With so many layers to this event, it’s easy to get confused with what’s going on.  But, that’s where we come it!  To guide you through the ins and outs and break it all down in a manageable way, that anyone can quickly understand.

In this post we’re going to break down the jobs available at Town Plaza for Act 3.  These jobs are designed to help you earn more event currency…not only the TNT  you’ll need for Act 3 prizes but also the “crafting” currency (Pickaxes, Hats, guns & Gold Coins) you’ll need to “hand in” at the General Store to earn even more TNT! By the time we’re done you’ll have the ins, the outs & and the know how to fully understand who can go on what job and how to get them there.

So let’s get to it shall we?

Before we get into everything let me preface this by saying, this is by far one of the easiest events we’ve seen in recent times.  And I think what’s happening is, it’s too easy for some of you.  Too easy that you’re over thinking it way to much, and it’s throwing you off.

So I’m encouraging you to stop over analyzing.  Just play and have fun.  Remember the tappa, tap, tap Ralph way of playing.  Don’t think, just tap. 🙂

Now I’ve broken everything up in detail during Act 2.  So if you’re confused or trying to figure out the other jobs you can check out that post.  It will thoroughly breakdown every detail about starting crazes, earning currency etc.  So if you’re having trouble read that post first.  Again it can be found here

New with Act 3 is the ability to earn Gold Coins.  A new dimension to our collecting game.  You’ll need the Gold Coins to turn in at the General Store to earn TNT.

Here’s a list of tasks at the Town Plaza that will earn you Gold Goins:

Okay, i already beat the acts. But now i have SO MUCH useless TNT!! What can i do with it? I dont see an option to sell it for something useful, like doughnuts or cash. So what good is it if youve already beaten the event? Please advise.

  2. The General store closes every day saying the store is all “shopped out” or something like that. I can’t trade in any more Wild West resources after earning around 2000 TNT in trades. This has only happened during Act 3. Is this happening to anyone else? Seems senseless now that I have resources to trade and the gsme won’t let me!

  3. Uhh, are we supposed to have this yet? It’s been pretty deep in the event and i’ve gotten pretty far in yet I don’t have this currency yet. I’ve earned it too, it just doesn’t collect anywhere, i can’t spend it, and I can’t give any jobs for it.

  4. I’m a super-mega nerd. I created a spreadsheet that shows all of the tables that Alissa created together in one spot, that way it’s easy to see what characters can be overlapped.

For example: I can clear everyone off of the task Overact to Warnings (which I had previously sent Lisa to start), and then send Lurleen, Marge, and Lisa back on that task, then have Snake begin the craze to have everyone Abuse Lawlessness. The only one left out of that scenario woud be Bart.

The way it looks, there is no way to have all possible characters on task at the same time. Someone will always be left out.

I posted the file in my Dropbox account, if anyone would find it helpful: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ezg24gfdrw8w7ec/character%20tasks.xlsx?dl=0

    • Hi Kimberly, if you start the craze with Snake, then you free him storing the jail (liberating people to gain guns). Then you put the jail back where it was and send Snake and whoever else you want to jobs that earn guns, but leave Apu or Homer free. Then you send the one you left free to start the craze, which Bart will be able to participate in, earning axles or hats. Doing this you will have all characters earning currency. hahahaha

I might be too nerd about this…. I am doing it until I get the cave. Then I will just use currency exchanging for the smallest prize at the store, so I can get the daily prizes without much effort at the end.

      • LOL! Yes, you certainly can do that. I hadn’t thought of boxing Snake in order to be able to use Bart on one of the other tasks. I don’t know why, but I don’t like boxing people too often, even if I pull them right back out. I only do it if it’s really necessary or I accidentally sent them on the wrong task.

I’ve got all of the characters, anyway. So, not using Bart hasn’t been a huge deal for me. Besides, I have him slaving away in the Glass Depot earning me donuts there. So, it’s fine. 😀

        And NERDS UNITE! Woo hoo!

  5. No kidding this event is so easy it almost doesn’t feel like anything is going on. I’m concentrating on real yard more than the event and still way ahead of the game. And I shouldn’t care about 5 doughnuts. I went from 33 doughnuts to over 1000 for the first time ever. I get nervous every timei do it. Only about an hour and a half on my collider but at this rate I can afford 5 doughnuts to do it again tomorrow.

  6. I noticed that if you change your daily challenge there is a chance you get a order to do something like you would normally but then get donuts as a reward instead of hats etc. Might work for you guys too if you haven’t seen it yet.

  7. I figured out the most efficient way to earn resources, since you can put characters to work on the previous craze before starting a new craze. Running the same craze twice in a row is the LEAST efficient way. This calculation assumes you have NO premium characters for this event.

Running pick axes and gold back to back allows you to engage all the characters. That is, if you just did pick axes, have Gummy Joe and Snake make more (and anyone else except Lisa, depended on your need for the resource) then have Lisa start gold craze, and put everyone else on gold. When gold ends, put Lisa and Wiggum on gold (and anyone else but Apu), use Apu to start the pick axe craze, and put everyone on pick axes.

Guns + Hats = Lisa has no resource task
Guns + pick axes = No Lisa
Guns + Gold = No Bart
Hats + Gold = No Snake
Hats + pick axes = No Lisa, No Wiggum

Doing the same craze back to back will always leave out 3 characters. So, if you’re REALLY short in a resource, put everyone back to work on that resource except the character needed to start the craze which will bring in the characters that would have been idle for the next 4 hours.

The above chart will also let you know the best time to put Snake or Bart or Lisa on a quest. If you’re doing guns and gold, you’re not missing dynamite by putting Bart on a quest.

    Hope I explained this OK!

    • Thanks for posting. I was noticing that yesterday also and came to identify the characters. Your post is perfect!

  8. Im locked out still 🙁

  9. Guess who just reached level 939
Spent the whole 4 hours place down tiki bars
    Here are some screen shots

  10. I have got a bug. When I let Skinner and Joe to final part of questline and collect the sallon building Longshot Skinner came from there, but I dont unlock him yet.Now I can do his not visual tasks, but I can’t get the costume off.Anyone have it too?

  11. I find this event pretty straight forward…

  12. I hope this stays like the campfire stories from last Halloween.

  13. I haven’t had any trouble collecting event currency. I just kept sending them on the task which collected the newest currency. I had loads of left over pickaxes and hats after Act 1 so I concentrated on guns. Now I have over 10,000 each pickaxes, hats and guns so I’ve just been collecting gold coins. Tapping bandits keeps the levels of other currency high. I also have spent the highest level when converting currency until I got the last prize then I turn in the lowest until I get the donuts. Throughout Act 2, I was locked out of the General store every day in the first five minutes. It’s been the same way in Act 3. I picked up the Blacksmith and Post office today. I’m really enjoying the event.

  14. I’m sorry I have a doubt about the “Duff Gardens”? Mine is still there (I have iOs) in my game and I don’t know if I will bought or not because I don’t really understand what is going on. I have read that someone have put it in Springfield but no task has appeared. To my boyfriend (Android) instead, Gil is disappeared. We have nothing to do with all the level up stuff (I’m still in level 59, he is in 60), I just want to know what to do with Gil’s offer, thank you 🌸💝

  15. Looks like Daily Challenge has a glitch today – I opted out of the first challenge, so now I have to grow perfection at Cletus’ farm for $3000. Every time I go there (and it says “completed”) to collect, it fails to show the challenge as successful.

  16. Good morning Alissa ♡
*hugs* …jebus last night was busy!
