Quick tip for y’all….Grow Corn! As in, start it right now. Before you complete Part 2 of It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humidity…where you unlock the ability to grow Peppers at Cletus’ Farm, start growing Corn. And turn on your XP Collider (if you’re someone who uses it, and willing to grind out some XP to get more donuts. Otherwise don’t worry about the collider…)
Once you complete Part 2 of It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humidity the corn will Auto-Complete for you.
This will ONLY work if you start growing corn prior to completing part 2.
I can confirm, this works. I sacrificed some donuts in my game to test.

corn is pretty much all i grow. that, and some sort of adhesive.
What are the exact rules on Marge the Witch? Normally she takes 4 hours and speeds up a crop by 4 hours. You can do this as many times as you wish. I once took a couple of weeks off the corn. But what are the rules for small stuff. Take the current pepper crops. 3hrs per crop. Planting a crop and putting Marge on it cuts it down to 1.5 hrs. You can even plant again after 1.5 hrs and the second crop starts at 1.5 hrs. I just planted a crop. I think it was crop 3 on the same witch job. But I’m not sure, Crop time started at 2hr8min instead of the normal 3hr. Marge had 51 min left on her crop growing job. How did that happen? My guess is that she can take off 4 hrs total per use, but can cut a crop by half at most. Lets see what happens when I run her again after this current run…
OK. Marge is done. Ready for another round.
crop had 1hr10min left and I started a new 4hr job for Marge.
crop dropped to 35min, so that part works out.
Are actual stats on her magic crop growing powers listed for her anywhere?
I don’t think all the stats are listed anywhere. Just the basics of her halving growing times when you use her.
I was already past this point to take advantage of your tip. But I am using witch Marge to speed up my pepper crops. So glad I got her.

I’ll be planting corn in a few minutes and thinking of using Accelerator to boost XP. I’ll be finishing part 2 tonight to finish growing corn. I read that farming blood mobile and the rat truck and tiki bar help with leveling up? Can someone explain how? I don’t see that they generate XP the way a building does. And is it best to use the Boost for just the 24 hour period? Thank you.
Collider is a multiplier x5. Your Stars is the percentage increase. I have 203 percent. So blood mobile for me gives about 66000 XP per mobile. If you collide that x5 do the math…You collide(multiply) XP after you percentage increase it I think. It won’t work as well if you don’t have a high percentage increase which EA allowed people to abuse a couple months ago. I bought 2 dozen wailing walls from Halloween Last year for example.
Does it still work? because I had a little update pop up like 20minutes ago when I opened my game.
That I don’t know. They may have patched it, i can’t tell myself because I’ve already completed it in my games. (and my low level game is not level 20)

Same here Julie. I just opened my game and had an update,Cletus’ job is done but corn did not auto complete. I fear a patch job occurred.going to try and run him again and hope for the best (expect the worst) this time.
It works when you FINISH part 2. Not just one component of it. You have to COMPLETELY finish part 2, earn the ability to grow the peppers and then move onto part 3. When that happens it’ll auto complete.
It’s not just finishing cletus’ job for part 2. You have to also earn all of the required peppers. And basically move onto part 3.
I was impatient. My corn did auto complete and it is a beautiful crop. Thanks for the tip.

I read this post 9 minutes before the pepper quests finished, and since I had forgotten to plant anything, it was open.
I planted the corn and 9 min later… wow!

I planted corn when my neighbors planted actual corn in their field. I’m was VERY pleased that it paid out instead of forcing me to cancel mid-crop.
OMG Thank you thank you thank you. It worked!!! I have several second-string accounts… it was a fun way to give them a boost. Plus, I hadn’t used the XCollider since it was launched… was pleasantly surprised that it was only 5 donuts for the day. And had forgotten how much fun it was… 🙂

Ok…I’m a little slow….i read this and hopped on my game. I sacraficed my guys working on peppers as well as my moonshine plants and planted corn instead. I’m not done with pt. 2 yet….so are u saying my corn will actually be done….grown…..when pt 2 completes??? For reals??? I’m confused…

You can use Witch Marge to cut the time it takes to grow peppers in half!!

Marge has a skin called Witch Marge from Halloween updates. Witch Marge has a 4 hour take called “Speed Up Crops,” where she stands outside of Cletus’s farm and cuts the time it takes to grow certain crops in half. So, if you have Witch Marge, you can use her 4 hr “Speed Up Crops” task to cut the time it takes to grow peppers in half!
Witch Marge has a 4 hour task speeding up crops. If the growing time of the crop is 8 hours or less, the time will be halved. The longer tasks will take 4 hours less, but you can send her again on that task.
Great tip, Alissa! And perfect timing, too…I just sent folks on the last round of chili stuff for part 2, so in a few hours, it would have been too late.
It won’t be worth using the collider for (for me), but the extra XP will certainly be sweet! 🙂
What if I have completed Cletus’s task, but have not collected enough peppers to fully finish?
it’ll still work. It’ll work until Part 2 is completely finished. Meaning…you’re on part 3.
Dangit, I was looking forward to watching my corn grow for its last 22 days! But I have to admit, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to grow ghost peppers to complete the mission. Thanks for the timely tip and peace of mind 🙂
Second time growing corn, I think. I’ve got a vague recollection of you giving a similar advice a long time ago, so that was probably the frist time I grew it 😉
There was an Easter event that had you grow carrots to attract rabbits. Two years ago maybe? That did the same thing to established corn crops.
It had something to do of Brandine being pregnant while you were growing corn.
Carrots for the easter event, probably 2014?

Ok, I corned.
But I also have the collider. If I spend the 5 donuts for the 5x bonus, it means the XP goes from 9k to 45k… only just over 1 bonus level as I’m around level 80 or so. Not really worth it…
Now buy your 100 bloodmobiles while the collider is active. Every level you go up will be another donut. You’ll complete the bloodmobile easter egg & get back your 5 donuts plus!

Never had enough cash in game, only freemium… Just managed all Aspirationals and Springfield Heights… Three or so years in. I try and spend my donuts wisely, primarily aiming for characters.
If you have enough game cash you should be able to get to level 939 with hundreds of donuts as result.
I got ages but I got good tip if put cletus farm in the storage and take back out it will get rid off growing corn and you can grow whatever you like
