Hmmmm… So back when they had the first garage sale I bought 2 of the excellence prize statues and used them outside Burns manor. But apparently, at some point the statue became unique. So now that I’ve nuked my town, I’ve got 2 in my inventory, but I can only place one… Which is a little frustrating since they cost donuts. I guess the second one can sit in my inventory and keep my second squeaky voiced teen company. Sorry for the rant, I was going to use the statues outside of the Burns casino and only being able to use one put a snag in my design plans.

It removes everything from your game, except the Simpson’s house (and the lemon tree, if you have it, and, I think one other thing I can’t remember right now) and puts everything into your inventory. I think folks generally use it when they want to redesign their whole town and it feels easier to them to just start with a clean canvas (so to speak). Fortunately, the games asks you, something like five times, to confirm that that’s what you really want to do before it does it, so it’s unlikely you’d ever do it by accident (so you don’t need to be afraid of the button).
Never having nuked myself, could the other thing that remains be the Krustyland Shuttle?

Oh, and I forgot to say that I’m pretty sure I will never, ever, ever use that button myself!
Speaking for myself, I nuked my town because it was starting to feel cluttered and there was a lot of stuff I wanted to move around. Sometimes a blank canvas is easier to work with.
Don’t let it scare you too much. I think I’ve personally nuked my town around 6 times now since the button came out lol. As long as you go into it with the right mindset it isn’t too bad.

Well I guess I like the go carts won the 2.5 million yesterday & 50,000 this morning. Or maybe just my lucky day.
Enjoyed this time to work on my heights which I do not pay attention to during an event which seems like one is coming this week. Also got to get what you need for the monorail which was new to me.

The monorail change and mini event were perfectly timed because I was on vacation the first half of last week and all of the previous week and didn’t have much time for tapping, so I was happy to know I could easily finish just by checking in occasionally. Looking forward to what’s coming next.

I hope we get a few days of game play in before the next event hits, but somehow I doubt EA will give us that much free time. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the next event hit Wednesday or Thursday. Hoping for more land on the mountain side of Springfield. Hoping for more land in Springfield Heights. Hoping for the ability to build more Squidport tiles as I’m maxed out and I need a few more to finish my design. (The Springfield Heights pier tiles just aren’t doing it for me.) Very simple requests. We’ll see what happens in the future.
If they bring the yellow submarine back you might want to pick it up. I have 40 boardwalk pieces in my inventory I don’t know what to do with.
Are you saying that the yellow submarine comes with 40 boardwalk tiles?
No, it has a 24 hour task that pays $/XP and it either comes back with nothing, a boardwalk square or a heights boardwalk square. I was able to complete my boardwalk the way I wanted so now I just keep accumulating them. If they ever give us more water away from the shore they will come in very handy.

No sweat. I bought it because I buy everything but mostly as a Beatles fan, in fact I’m listening to them as I write this. I’d definitely recommend it, was it limited? I don’t even remember where it came from.
Finally finished the tree this week. Trying to build my case reserves back up as they have taken a HUGE hit since the start of superheroes 2. Debating if the IRS is worth upgrading. Probably not but I am bored.
My wife found another job. Closer and more money, but no benefits and still not a full teaching position. Now I’m stresses trying to find a car or an engine in my price range. Still can’t find a plumber either which sucks.
Watched a little of the Olympics, but don’t really care about them too much. I enjoy fencing.
Spent a day at the beach, got a little sunburn on top of my head. I miss having hair. Wish I knew which beach we were going to, I didn’t bring any quarters for arcade and they had some of my favorite games.
Been a stressful week at work. I can’t seem to do anything right in the eyes of management. Really frustrating when they know nothing about my department.
Been in a real funk lately. Lots of things just not breaking my way. But at least the Red Sox are ahead of the Yankees.

I’m enjoying being on school holidays especially as the Olympics are on. I’ve just watched Team GB win the golf and the pommel horse final. Later on I’ll watch the cycling and some of the tennis. My sleep routine is seriously disturbed.
As for TSTO, I’m at least now getting to play a little more frequently than before the school holidays which is good. I finished the event a couple of days ago so now just cash building. Seriously tempted to nuke my Springfield but really need to get more land before I do.
I’m watching the Olympic gold right now. How do you know the results? Is it broadcast at different times? Spoilers!!! 😉
Depends where you are? The BBC in the UK are broadcasting lots of things live on multiple red button channels but also show catch up broadcasts. I watched the golf live (but only the last hole as it’s not my favourite sport) and then the entire of the pommel horse final. I’ve heard that some broadcasters in different countries are not always showing things live.

I finished Burns’ Money Mountain a few days ago, it’s nice having completed that and the Redwood. Just the extremely long task of the IRS to go.
So I nuked my town last week… And now there is just this big green expanse. I think I have too many items, it takes forever to scroll through storage to find stuff : P
I have a feeling a new event is going to start and my Springfield is going to be woefully unprepared.
Sorry to hear that. I mean, when you say it that way, I think of how frustrating placing those 30 flags from my inventory was even though they are all flag shaped. I don’t even want to consider doing that for unique items. 🙁
Alternatively, try placing items as you get new items from the event. I don’t know how to explain it but give it a try and keep your chin up. 🙂
Yeah, I’ve got stuff in my inventory going all the way back to the first valentines event. I’m working on rebuilding my town in sections, so I know which buildings I want, but it’s a slog to find them in my inventory. The last time I redesigned my town was sometime around the clash of clones event, so there was a lot of clutter building up around the edges of my town.
I feel your pain! I nuked my town about 18 months ago thinking it wouldn’t be that hard to put it all back together … I was pleased with the end result but never again.
I was shocked to see you nuked your town. I nuked a secondary town, I used to have, right after they came out with the nuke feature and it never recovered. They really need a better inventory system for long term players. It would help if they made each holiday and event their own category. I look forward to seeing what you come up with this time.

Looking for suggestions what to do with the new track that goes through the mountain if how it links to my tracks has them right next to each other (left hand side of one track lines up with right side track of the other) and I can’t get them to line up. I’m guessing many have this problem? My train is enormous and goes through the entire town. There’s no way I can move it all.
No real solution for now. Probably to move all of SH with the area-selection tool, block by block. I might have done that already but I wanted my train station to line up with the road too, but doing both is impossible. The next alternative is that you don’t connect all of the tracks together and instead maintain two rail systems, where one of the tracks could go through the tunnel and then come back in another tunnel (when we win the second).

My uncle and one of his ex-girlfriends used to have actual fights about this. Seriously. Another topic of contention was the “correct” way to squeeze toothpaste from the tube. I guess if you can’t agree on the major issues, the relationship is doomed to fail 😉
I think even people who squeeze the tube from the middle, because it’s “easier,” know that the *correct* way is from the bottom.
(These days, with the plastic tubes, it doesn’t matter as much, but, in the old days, with the metal ones, too much squeezing from the middle could cause the tube to rupture.)
I try to squeeze from the bottom of the tube but my hands are extremely small and not very strong so I end up squeezing the middle more often than not
I lay the tube on the counter & push up from the bottom with the side of my toothbrush 😊

I had to giggle when I read that you changed under to over when you encountered it. When I was married to my 2nd husband, every time I would use the restroom, it annoyed me when the roll was under, so I would change it to over. Several years later my father in law was grumbling about someone changing it to over. I sat there silently, but never changed it again 😂

Are you f’ing kidding me?!?!? I just spent, like, 15-20 minutes posting a super-long update post (even by my standards), and then got the message from WordPress that it couldn’t be posted. When I backed up (which sometimes works, or it turns out it had posted after all), I found that all but the first two sentence were gone!! Well, I have to go out and do some stuff right now…maybe, if I have time later, I’ll try to recreate as much of it as I can. *sigh*
(Okay, I know that, in the scheme of tragedies in the world, this certainly doesn’t qualify as much more than a non-Zika-or-malaria-carrying mosquito bite, but, still….Argh!!!)

It’s really nothing exciting. We never did a welcome post. We just wrote and posted all kinds of content because we knew we had a TON of game history to cover and people would be looking for help in that regard. Most of the how-to posts come from back in 2013…as we caught the site up on a bunch of back log Our goal was to launch the site with LOADS of content already on it for people to check out. But what did you write it to mean?
As a team swimmer and father of two team swimmers, I want to say it was a real pleasure watching Michael Phelps swim for the last 16 years. What an athlete, what a wingspan!! I do not believe he will come back. He has a baby boy and a wife to be to spend his time with now.
It’s pretty impressive for sure! I’m loving watching the rest of Team USA too…the future of USA Swimming is very bright for sure!
He is something else, that’s for sure! I don’t know that we’ll see another athlete so dominate a sport for so long.
He said it is not the end of a career but the beginning of a new adventure.
There may never be an accumulation of gold medals like that again.
It was a pleasure to watch experience and maturity at the highest level use these Olympics as his career victory lap. That was ultimate greatness.

I ended up buying Disco Stu last year because he helped with yoga mats in Springfield Heights. But I really like Jasper’s “Take Incorrect Medication” and “Go Paddling” tasks. And if you have the skin, the “Catch an Imaginary Fly Ball” task is very funny.
I, too, am at the point now where I get characters because I like them. For instance, I was very happy to be able to nab Mona at Valentine’s Day. I love having her haunt my Springfield.
Hi everyone,
Has anyone else noticed a large amount of their neighbors have stopped playing? Since the superhero event I’ve deleted over 20 who haven’t played in 4 or more weeks. I have another 5 or so that that haven’t played in 2-3 weeks. Seems like a lot more then in the past.
So here are my thoughts for the next big thing. I think it will tie in Springfield heights and shelbyvile in some way. Not sure if it will be a new area to the top or right of Springfield heights but I do believe it will be pretty large. My thinking is there has been a big push on for Springfield heights with the caldron of pills, the googolplex and the monorail tunnel. Add in the hint of doppelgängers makes me think shelbyvile. Oh well I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
I’m fortunate in having a pretty solid set of neighbors…haven’t noticed a big drop off among them. But I think since folks kinda check out between events and come back when a new one starts.
I think Shelbyville would be fun, but I’d prefer it to be in another “place,” like Krustyland is. That said, I REALLY want more land in Springfield Heights….I need that much more than I need more land in Springfield proper. (I still have some unpurchased land on that side.)
A lot of my neighbors stopped playing… Even before Superheroes I noticed a decline.
I’ve got a few neighbors on my list that haven’t played in over a year. It’s just how things go. I haven’t been super active in kick out inactive neighbors, mainly because I have been bad about visiting neighbors lately.
It’s not surprising to see a decline in activity after a big event ends, people get burned out and want to take a break. Life happens. I was unable to play the game for about 3 months at one point due to various circumstances.
I’ve had a pretty good batch of loyal neighbors, but a bit before the superhero event and then after I’ve had a small die off of neighbors. Looks like I’ll have to start looking for new folks.
I took a TSTO vacation around the end of the Superheroes event. My older iPad is getting too slow and crash-prone. I got to catch a few Pokemon in the meantime. 🙂 I guess I needed a summer break, and now it will be a little hectic with school starting back. I hope the next event is a fun one! Happy last little bit of summer everyone!

been thinking about the Halloween update and what ea has instore for us this year, I would like to see an update similar to the one a few years ago where the town went dark at night and we had lots of ghosts to tap on, I would like to see an option for our towns to be dark at night all the time .and also thinking that it would be cool if they replaced the krustyland shuttle with the spaceship from futurama and we build newnewyork in place of krustyland, that would be cool ea if you are reading any of this…

Too hard for me except it’s obviously hitting this Tuesday. Doppelgangers sounds like a bigger event than the outlet mall. I mean, I still think outlet mall will be SH and an expansion to it. (I was surprised that it didn’t release last week.) I would just be stealing others’ ideas on doppelgangers, so I won’t do that. Lots of ideas, though. 🙂

Canadian women are amazing. And I’m not just talking about Ciarathomp988, Jjleigh73, or Minimoosi, amongst others; who needless to say are obviously absolutely amazing. I’m specifically talking about our Canadian female Olympians who have won all 12 of Canada’s Olympic medals thus far.

Words can’t do justice to how much pleasure this site, your posts, and this community you’ve created has brought me. I’m definitely very fortunate to have found you quite early on, and to have all your posts help guide me on my way through this game. Looking back, I made so many mistakes and played so poorly the first two months. I really wish I had found you guys on August 14th 2013, as I could have saved myself six weeks of mistakes.
The quality of your post is not the same as it used to be. Having read every post since when you were not even two months old, I can attest that you truly keep getting better with each passing year and that the quality of posts has actually increased. You guys don’t just meet my expectations; you constantly exceed them.
Congratulations on 3 wonderful years! I look forward to and wish you the best over the next 3 years! 3 olympiads! 3 decades! 3 scores!

Yes it will continue to generate that much XP. However, the cost per KEM will be $14,400 beyond the 25th KEM.
Have you noticed whether the XP earned increases as the price to build increases (with the KEMs)? I’m assuming not, but I figured I’d ask, anyway.

Well, I think that I’m about ready to collect rent, send all on 12 hour tasks, tonight before bed start the 4 build of a gross or two or three of QEM’s —- and then very first thing tomorrow morning kick on the Multiplier – and reap donuts.
Then SPEND my sprinkles.
Yippee! $40 million later, 1000+ QEM, a couple of hundred RatTraps, and a lot of work…..
