The Sci-Fi Event hit our games this past week, and holy smokes Stephen Hawking is in Springfield! What are your initial thoughts on the event?
Well after 11 weeks we finally have our Bracket Challenge Winner! What are your thoughts on the winning character? Think EA will listen to the will of the Addicts and add any of the characters?
Don’t forget about the contest! We’ve been dropping words in posts for the last week…have you collected them all? Submission for will be up early this week.

I’m really loving all of these futuristic, cool buildings. They remind me of Tomorrow Land at Disneyland and I am planning on making my monorail weave in and around them to complete that future/vintage look and feel. Don’t they look great with the super hero items? I think they are a perfect fit.
BTW I am Bluntcard on the EA forums, I dunno who goes there, but I saw a Happy Birthday to Bunny there, so I know some of you go there. ( Happy Birthday Bunny! )

Just teasing. As for people reading the origins, that’s up to debate but I love doing them so they will still be regular.
I love reading them. We get all this cool stuff in the game, and I want to know where they got it from. I had fun doing a couple of them too for Disney stuff on KingdomsAddicts.com
Anybody reckon it’s worth it to buy Grimey? I’m on the fence…
Still don’t understand why it says he’ll disappear in X amount of days when he is a permanent premium character?
I buy things mostly based on emotion. I just love Grimey’s grave. And I love Grimey, so I bought him awhile back. If you really want it, get it. If not, there will be other great things to spend donuts on later.
He is a very interesting character to get and he comes out of a grave. His dialogues with homer and his suicidal animations are funny.
i don’t think he’s worth it, but that’s just me.
Please expound as to why you don’t like him?
for 160 donuts i don’t think he’s a good value; he doesn’t come with a building, just a grave that i have no interest in… and if i’m being honest, the same goes for his character.
I was on the fence about him. Im keeping my bonuts for three future releases.
For some reason after binge watching quite a large some of the Simpsons loads of new characters have come to mind. Sarah Wiggum is probably the most dominant to me and I really don’t know why she has not been added. Another character is the Owner of “King Toots” after watching the episode where Moe and the Owner of “King Toots” have a fight I think that could lead to a good quest line for Lisa. But that’s just my idea. Anyone else feel the same about that?
I tapped my eagle this morning and he flew all the way across Springfield. He never flew more than a few blocks before, so I began to ignore him as not much fun. Did he fly farther because I’ve ignored him, or has his flight pattern changed?
I love Vinyl records, hard to find originals these days and eBay prices extortionate, lucky finds at car boot sales and charity shops sometimes, anyone out there love vinyls, are they easy to find were you are 🙂

In NYC CD’s are almost impossible to find. Many music stores have closed, most that remain open only sell vinyl.
Started getting into vinyls the past few months. Found a few record shops and picked up some cool first press vinyls. I also found that Amazon has pretty decent price on most.
When were the prices of the xp collider increased? I remember looking at them one or two weeks ago when they still for 3 donuts for 24 hrs and 5 donus for 3 days or so, but now it’s 5 donuts for 24 hrs. 🙁
It’s always been 5 donuts for 24 hours.
One week ago it was 5 for 24 hours – I know because I ran from Sunday to Monday (had to finish before the current event started on Tuesday)
Is anyone else having issues switching from friends worlds and the game crashing? I can go to one friends world and that’s it and then it crashes on me.

I don’t understand the crafting part. What does it mean by craft the required number of demos?
Only after you craft the demo items, then you can use future money to build even more of the same item. But future money does not help in levelling up of Three D printer.
Can anyone tell me what the pyramid with the all seeing eye is? What event did it come from? I’m guessing stone cutters. I see it in neighbors towns and wish I had it.

I abused the KEM glitch and somehow I am now a fully-pledged KEM farmer and I am levelling up quite fast! Why did nobody tell me about this before!? 😀
Without this site I would never know what a KEM glitch was or how to abuse said glitch. Thanks Tsto for enabling me. 😊
My lady friend chided me for still playing this game. She cited the health advantage of playing Pokemon Go and also of freebies from merchants who are tapping into this Pokemon Go game.
I like this event and kitty neighbour, if you are. reading this, I just bought Santa Little Helper. I think he does not have a visual task except for the Christmas glass globe?
For entertainment, I watched Scott Pilgrim Vs the World since it seems to have good ratings. My lady friend who watched with me made me stopped the movie one third into it and we switched to Angry Birds. I am open to watching all genres of movie but my friend is not really a movie buff.

yeah about that, it was super great when each cost 220, but now that they are all 14400 its really tough, maybe this isnt the best thing to farm anymore, i mean its great since the number still isnt going up for each, but its still way higher then i can handle anymore
Sell them after you collect the xp from the build. The price drops back down to the starting point.
I worked out between Kiwi and blood mobiles before. Kiwi still gives better returns in terms of game cash. However it is very time consuming for me.
I have about a million and im lvl 50 (somewhere around that lvl) so is it possible for me to KEM farm and how do i exactly do it as i dont know exactly how to do it? And whats the other donut farming methods, if there are?
The KEM farming method has been proven to be the best in terms of XP and cost. However, you will need to turn on your XP Collider and also have a reasonable bonus (remember that your Springfield Heights buildings all have hidden XP bonuses!)
What you do is you buy 25 KEMs, wait 4 hours, build them, then sell them and repeat. This allows the cost of the KEM to drop back down to 220, and gradually increase to 14,400 so you aren’t spending 14,400 each time you buy a KEM!

Is anyone else tired of this event already? This is a comment directly meant to get EAs attention. Find a new event format. And shorten the events by a week or so. This format is worn out and tiresome
I wouldn’t say I’m tired of this event yet, but I’m not excited at the prospect of doing the same thing for the next month (logging in every 4 hours and playing the scifighter game). Maybe something else will come with act 2. At least I hope so. A little variety would be nice.

I can understand that the event can be monotonous for some tappers because it relies on the same format as previous events, but I thought the addition of the SciFighter mini game was different and fun. And it instantly solves the problem of searching all over for robots to tap.
And I don’t mind logging in every four hours, because it aligns with the KEM farming I started. And it sure beats the monorail event from last summer. That was a grind keeping up with all those recycling tasks.

I have to disagree. I like the slower pace…my insane work schedule prevents me from signing in more than a couple of times a day. I like the 3 acts, with prizes rolling out slowly. I like the crafting; this time around it’s less of a grind, and i like that crafting prizes helps upgrade the 3D Printer. I feel that with the past few events EA has really hit a nice balance.
I’m not saying increase the pace. I’m saying shorten the event. They could eliminate 2 prizes per act I would say. I hardly keep anything out in Springfield anyways. I wouldn’t even mind going back got the old wheel and luck format from tsto Easters past.

I’m trying to tell how much the predictable monotony is getting to me and how much I’m making the older events seem like a much lamented long lost thing, by comparison. There is a lot about this event that ea really seemed to get a good balance on and I enjoy that very much.
Earlier in the game we’d have long dry spells between events and episode tie-ins or levelling up. Everyone complained to some extent. Each new event had differing and somewhat unpredictable formatting, prize challenges, and new items that were a good mix of game cash and premium. Updates were infrequent enough that we welcomed them because we were really hungry for something new and we’d waited a while for it. I still think Stonecutters was all around the best designed game event format to date. It was canon, and really drew on precise things from the episode for prizes, event quests, the equivalent of daily challenges, etc.
I think the predictability of the basic format in each event now gets to me fairly quickly so I feel less engaged and excited about the event fairly quickly into it, so I agree with Jimmy and Davidbo33 equally..
Will Homer’s hover car move above roads? When will EA allow cars on roads and in parking spaces? And WHEN will characters be allowed to sit at all the outdoor tables in front of restaurants, in back yards, etc? We have a town teeming with characters, buildings including many restaurants, cars, tennis courts, swing sets, slides, tetherball, T-ball, boxing rings, sports stadiums, horses saddled and ready to ride, and much much more, but all anyone ever does is walk everywhere (often aimlessly) and only some of them actually ever do anything – except for the occasional few who can actually sit down outdoors. Marge is all suited up in her cute little tennis outfit, racquet in hand, but there’s no court where she can actually play – and no one else to play tennis with. What’s with that?!

I agree David, and I’ve moved tennis courts around to find tennis Marge too. My griping was mostly tongue in cheek, as this is the ongoing complaint of TSTO players – why no cars on roads or parking spaces?
I thought I’d jazz up the argument by adding in some of the other oddities of the game where characters and decorations never meet. Glad you joined in.
Has anyone else problems keeping up with the matter collection? Even in my premium A game I am struggling a bit. Not to mention the freemium B games… There is really not much help from anyone or anything this time around, except Grimes. Well, and a few one-off tasks. I just about make the daily goal, usually I do better. Is it just me???
I’m keeping up but I feel it’s only because I have Grimes. Even with him, I’m not even a full day ahead at this point and most other events I’d be a couple days ahead at this point.
I agree, as freemium player I am finding it hard to accumulate matter quickly enough. You certainly have to put the time in on this one !
As for the event itself, yes it is the same format but looking forward to picking up some unique & fun items.
I can agree with you all here. I’m not ahead but due to one of my daily challenges being “Tap 5 Robots” with a reward of 1100 Dark Matter that has really assisted me!
Loving this event! I’m excited that we finally got Stephen Hawking. Each time he has dialogue, I hear the computer voice in my head. I’m VERY excited about all the crafting options: decorations AND buildings! The event prizes are neat: can’t wait to get future Lisa. I’m thankful EA has slowed the pace of the events. Just got a new job and my schedule is crazy! So far, on target w/ the calendar. Can’t wait to see what’s next! Happy Sunday!

Pretty awesome event so far, and honestly has kinda revived me in the game. Was kinda burning out the last half of Superheros 2, didn’t care for the Games event. Really was only logging in everyday just for the Daily task donuts and visit neighbors a couple times a week. This event kinda breathed new life into the game for me, inspired a bit of a redesign in certain sections of my town. Things are back to normal now

These events are so mind-numbingly dull. It’s literally open app every 4 hours, tap a few things, the end.

This tsto game has always being like this. It suite my style as I don’t like too much excitement. Simcity was also my favourite PC game.

Only crafting prize that truly excites me is Costingtons.
Have a friend who must be blatheringly rich, as they have completed EVERYTHING. talk about donuts being spent. OTOH, saw a YouTube video yesterday and the person had 15,000 donuts – maybe those were not purchased.
Love these events. I go through Friends who haven’t progressed at all and check in – Eight Weeks since they’ve played(?) – time to hide them and check back later.
OTOH, I suddenly received a dozen request to add New Friends.
Being quirky has its benefits.
Perhaps it’s this event and those players think that I am Quark-y.

probably a cheater, but not a guarantee. I made 2000 donuts with the KEM glitch last week…maybe they aren’t an obsessive spender like me 🙂
Possibly, but help me understand how one earns 2,000 donuts when there are only 900~ levels and one donut per level.
p.s. I too am NOT an obsessive spender, Frugal is my middle name.

Once you get to level 939, you just need one million XP and then you get to open 3 boxes that have 1, 2 or 3 donuts in them and you can pay to get 3 if you don’t get it first time.
So yep, there are infinite donuts!

I also had a great glitch too! I brought a black hole for ten bonuts …placed it straight away at the time. But when I went into my box today I discovered the super collider building in storage! I definitely did not buy it! Did the quest line and got another black hole… awesome ☆☆☆☆☆
