We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Act 2 of the Sci-Fi Event hit our games last Tuesday…and let’s just say it’s made for an interesting week. How’s your Chronons count coming?
Speaking of the Sci-Fi Event…what are you planning on doing with your event items? Creating a dedicated area of your town or working stuff into your Springfield? Or are you just planning on throwing it all in storage when it’s over?
Schools all across the US are either getting ready to start back up, or started back up last week. How about where you’re located? Have you (or your kids) started school yet? Parents, are you enjoying the quiet tapping time?
How was your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting? Personally, we’re soaking up the last bit of summer fun and spending today at a Phillies game! Likely our last family game for the season.

Hello everyone!
Summer is coming to a close and here in British Columbia we’ve had a summer full of rain and well, more rain. Our temperatures haven’t been the greatest, I’m sure my central air turned on 10x give or take.
I’m contemplating putting my game on hold soon as I’ll be flying out October 11th until Christmas, it’s off to the Carribean for some much needed R&R. Our condo has wifi but I won’t be spending much time inside so I’m not sure how much tapping I’ll do. I’ve been playing this game since it came out and it might be time for me to take a break. I’ll post prior to leaving to give neighbours a heads up, deleting me at that time will be up to you.
Hope everyone is enjoying the event, I’m ahead as per calendar so not stressing about not be able to get all items. I’ve had to buy more land but so far that’s not been an issue. I’ve earned plenty of donuts and bought what I’ve wanted during this event as well.

It’s longer than we normally take but having such a terrible summer here we decided, what the heck! We’ll be back just in time to decorate the house for Christmas, wax and sharpen our skis to begin our ski season here. Apparently, we’re in for an above average snowfall so staying somewhere warm will be great……

Hello everyone, hello all Tsto staff. I have had an amazing time on this site and wanted to thank all of you for the invaluable information gained from your hard work and dedication. To my neighbors i am sad to say that I will be leaving TSTO and will no longer be able to play… I am a completionist and to be quite honest it simply is not possible to keep up without investing a small fortune into this endevour. I believe that if I continue on I will only resent the fact that I cannot keep up. I no longer have fun keeping up and simply do not have the time to keep up with the content. I thank you all my neighbors the community and the staff here on addicts. You are a wonderful community and I want to wish you all a happy holiday… Again, to my neighbors, sorry and thank you
So, it’s all or nothing for you, eh? That seems a bit extreme to me, but to each his/her own….you gotta do what you know will make *you* happy! I’m not one of your neighbors, but I think it’s very nice of you to take the time to post that and let your neighbors know you’re leaving…it’s always good to know what’s up when one of your neighbors stops playing — I wish I could always know whether it was just a temporary break or a permanent thing, when I’m trying to decide when to dump a neighbor who hasn’t played in a while.

CLOYES- I really appreciate this posting as I’m one of your neighbours. I always enjoyed visiting your town as it gave me the chance to see the premium items in situ before deciding whether to purchase. I would say just have a break & come back just for the main holidays. My neice plays approx once every 6 months & it makes me smile when I get notice she has visited. Extremely frustrated. Tapping like crazy this weekend. For the second time I can not purchase anything for Springfield Heights! It disappeared from my store late last night.
This is the second time in a week. Last time EA rolled back my account 24 hours and I lost all progress and money and items purchased with donuts prior to rollback. They said there was no way to give me back the money I earned or my donuts I lost. I guess I will just focus on building monorail and hope it comes back someday.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

We have to wait for Part II for the alternate dimension that has Supreme Court Justice Bart. The question I have is what is Lisa in that dimension? Hah, probably still President. Nepotism is still alive and kicking in the future!
I’m glad for the (patched) glitch because I really should be working right now, so technically I could sit the game out for a few days and still get the final prize. I’m not worried about bonuts.

Well, I didn’t block my Facebook friends, but I did unfollow every single one of them… But Marcospolos was talking about blocking the ads, not friends. That said, I honestly don’t know what major events in the game have to do with Facebook ads…
I finally moved my monorail so it matched with the tunnels. And it was easier than i thought. As a matter of fact now it looks better than it was before
Glad to hear a success story.
I never lined up my monorail with the tunnels because then my station wouldn’t line up with the SH tunnel. Thankfully, I am partially mountainless and it’s connect now. Now I just need to finalize a better design for the tracks.
Is there anywhere I can leave feedback to EA? I found support pages but no feedback page.

In the Act 2 math breakdown it was mentioned that for the daily tasks, if the task is not paying out 1000 chronons, people are dismissing the task. When I do that I get the normal daily task, ie sending kids to krusty burger etc. Has anybody dismissed a daily task, and had it replaced with a scifi event task paying out chronons?
You don’t usually get two event-related tasks back to back… you usually have to dismiss that position’s tasks 2-3 times before it counts back around to an event-related one.
Yes, I have cancel the task and had it replaced with an event task. I have also canceled an event task and had it come up with a cash task. When that happens I usually wait until I can cancel it again it seems to be somewhere between 12 and 16 hours.
I have yet to get a single daily task with a chronon payout, either with original task assignment or when canceling an existing other task.
I have received chronon task payout once. I generally get future bucks, or robot parts. Those I dismiss immediately, and so far I get asked to do normal tasks that pay out donuts. Only once did I get cash reward. This morning I got future bucks, so I dismissed that and got a task to get 15 ads. Now I wont be doing this tasks, and will dismiss it tomorrow and then see what I get next

Non-TSTO – found out I have to have urgent surgery next week to remove a cyst so a little nervous. My son had fever last night but seems better this morning so we are hoping it was just a cold. On the bright side it was our second wedding anniversary. We went out of town to Kansas City to the Irish Festival at Crown Center for the afternoon and had lots of fun.
TSTO – tomorrow will mark the completion of my redwood and will clear my task bar for the first time ever! 🙂 I will still have event related tasks but everything else in the task bar will be done. I have also managed to stockpile 100 freemium donuts that I am saving and adding to for the post thanksgiving day sale. I plan to redesign and expand my nasa-esque area this weekend. I am a day ahead in the event and very glad of it now bc I’m not sure when I will be able to play again post surgery as it will affect one of my arms for a short while. I’m going to try to get as ahead as possible.

Happy Sunday all! Not only am I here, but uncharacteristically early too. I can’t believe it’s the last real weekend of summer holidays. Yesterday just happened to be my birthday so we threw a huge pool party (which we would have done anyway – it wasn’t a “birthday party”). Even so, several people brought me flowers, and wine, etc. We had absolutely perfect weather, and everyone just had a fantastic time. (The trip to the beer/liquor store sure set me back though…) We capped the evening off over at the neighbours’ house with a relaxing campfire. Oh, and my day started with the only gift I really wanted: to be woken up by my kids piling into bed to give me hugs and kisses 🙂 Somehow I conned my husband into taking my oldest daughter and her friend to a local shopping mall (with the other two kids!) so they could back to school clothes shop with their babysitting money, and I’m off with a friend to the movies to see “Bad Moms”, which is supposed to be hilarious. I’m really looking forward to it. Then I’m really looking forward to one more day – hopefully, again by the pool with a good book – before the kiddos start school on Tuesday. Hockey sortouts start next week and let the craziness begin anew!
As I sit here drinking my coffee in blissful silence, I just earned enough donuts to pull the trigger on the Frink/Ladybot combo, and with the rebate, I have 87 donuts left that I’m hoping to use for Elysium soon. I finally decided it may not be the “best” buy, but I really love it, so going to go for it. After buying Frink, the Future Proofed Home is not available in my store 🙁 Not sure if I really wanted it or not, but it’s under consideration so I hope it makes its way back. I also still really want the Springfield of Tomorrow sign and really want a rumoured item that reminds me of one of my favourite Mouse themed rides. I think I’ve decided not to bother with Big Digi Ben.

I have! I love watching them tear apart the school as it reminds me of old horror movies.
In the 3D Printer I noticed the Retro Style Townhouse and that caught my eye since the start of the whole event. They remind me of upper class style of housing but also having a working class touch. So I though I would blend them into the town as they do not look too futuristic.
Yes, this is one of the few items that will remain after the event. Play around with the SH facade items. I used the resort entrance on mine. I think it looks great.
I really, really, really hate that the Simpsons future house and the future KEM aren’t skins. Why wouldn’t these be skins?
I agree with you about the Future Simpsons House and the Future KEM. So far I only have the Future Simpsons house but that has took up some unnecessary space. So I’ve had to remove some of my decorations to fit it in.
I think it’s for the same reason that Mooch Bart, Rockstar Maggie, and President Lisa aren’t skins.
I’d bet donuts that, if they made those buildings skins, there would be people complaining that they should be buildings, not skins. Poor EA…they just can’t win for trying! 😉

Funny story I’ve been saving for a couple of days for the right place to post it….
So, I was farming some KEMs and started playing the Sci-Fighter game. Just as it was getting fast and furious, I start hearing Homer saying, “Heads up! Heads up! Heads up!” over and over again, as my KEMs were “maturing.” It was such perfect timing, because it made it feel like Homer was next to me while I was doing battle with the Robots, making sure that I noticed all of them as they swarmed at the Poly Vac from all sides, lol!
Thanks to the now-patched Big Digi Ben glitch and the adjustment in the yields from the Sci-Fighter game, I’m enjoying act 2…still have a ways to go (at least a couple of prizes left to earn on the prize track) but I’m comfortably 2+ days ahead of the calendar, which is where I like to be to stay unstressed. I’ve made more premium deco purchases than usual — I rarely spend donuts on decorations, but I picked up the cars, both for the bonus % and because I like having more vehicles, and, yesterday, I got Big Digi Ben, to help form a college campus, along with some retro townhouses I crafted and Frink’s lab and one of the side Modern Mansion buildings (so far). Of course, now that I’m cobbling together a college campus out of miscellaneous parts, how much do you want to bet we’ll have that college event we talked about during the bracket challenge, making what I’ve done so far a waste of donuts and robot parts? 😉 OTOH, I did also get BDB because, as I mentioned in another thread, if it does, indeed, show the “real” time after the event, I like the idea of that little piece of “real” life in my fictional town.
So looking forward to getting President Lisa…by my calculations, I think that should be around the end of the week. But is anyone else concerned that we might not get enough robot parts to get through the the crafting track? There are some really expensive items coming up on the track, plus I keep having to waste robot parts to craft stuff I don’t really want, just to level up to get new stuff. Oh well…I know that there’s still quite a bit of time left to the event, so I’m just gonna trust that it will all work out in the end.
There are so many buildings as prizes/craftables in this event…gonna need a lot of space to incorporate them all! I’m holding off buying the land I need in the space they’re going to go, and setting up the buildings I have, until I finish getting everything from this event, so that I can plan it all out properly. Are you guys doing something similar, or decorating as you go? I usually do a lot of decorating as I go, but this is the first event that’s been just a total dump-and-decorate-later for me (except for the college campus stuff).

Been sick with a cold-type thing all week…I *think* I’m finally starting to finally feel a bit better and I *really* need to be better by Tuesday, when I have to go into the office and other stuff, so, fingers crossed! It’s been particularly hard this week, because my husband’s been sick, too (potentially, more flu than cold, but he refuses to ever take his temperature, so who knows), and he’s the one who normally does most of the shopping and cooking and stuff. Thank goodness for Thai take-out! 🙂
Last night was the first really comfortable sleeping night in ages, with temperatures in the low 50s (maybe even high 40s?)…for my Celsius friends, that would be somewhere around 10C. Very happy to see that we’ll have a few days in the 70s (low 20sC)…so not fond of heat and humidity. I need to go out and running and errand today, so it will be nice to do that in decent weather for a change. 🙂
That is really funny about Homer, awesome timing! During events I always just pile up everything until I’ve gotten all the items. Then when the event is over I’ll start working them into my town. There are only a few rare occasions that I get an item that I know exactly what I want to do with it, if that happens then I’ll place it right away. I hope you and your hubby gets well soon.

I’m still trying to win just 1 cane field. I could use a bakers dozen of those. I’ve never seen that prize but got multiples of all the others. In other news, excited that September brings at the end of its month the brand spanking new season of the Best. Show. Ever. THOH will be 600th overall episode. I know they are going to do something great. Make up for last years THOH. Though, I did absolutely enjoy the canon epsisode of the Halloween horror at Krusty land. That epsisode was probably my fave of the entire season. Also, they are going to have an episode that is 1 hour long this year. Exciting time to be alive!!
Man, there are a LOT of buildings in this event! The area I’m building is massive and I keep having to expand it. I just crafted the Parcology last night and I was unprepared for the sheer size of the thing. It’s a great building, but BIG, and there are still so many more buildings to come

I agree! I had what I thought was a good sized area ready for this event, but I’ve already filled it up and will have to expand more. Some of the buildings are huge and there are so many more.

When you play the Tap-a-turtle the look of the Casino Tower, the Homerlayas and Burns Summer Man (did I forget something?) is reset to the state it was when we first got it, at its lowest level.
I have not had that issue, go figure.
I play Tap-a-turtle once after each patch to see if EA fixed the problem but so far they haven’t.
