Ah the first day of Autumn…leaves are falling, that crispness in the air has arrived and there’s a brand new season of TV on! Ok so it’s only the first day of fall, and it still feels completely like summer (at least here in New Jersey) BUT…the last part is true. There’s a whole new season of TV shows…and the Simpsons Season 28 starts this Sunday! To celebrate the Season Premiere EA has launched a fun Episode Tie-In Mini Event in our games..something to gear us up for Sunday.
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is similar to the previous mini-events (like Homer’s Chiliad and the Fire Department before it), in that you’ve got to complete various tasks to unlock the prizes.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all the fun Premiere Episode inspired prizes…
Before we get into the walkthrough I want to point 1 thing out…the gift cards (
) do not carry over. So if you collect more than the required amount, they do not count towards the next part. Once you’ve unlocked a prize your count will go back to 0.

I may be late to the game posting this, but I just found out in my game that Moe’s Brewing has an option to 1 way teleport to Moe’s Tavern! (After Moe digs the tunnel quest)
I’d just like to mention something For those of you who like to keep things semi cannon. Moe’s Brewing should be placed on the squid port! It’s able to be placed there and that’s how it was in the show.
All week I’ve been completing tasks building up to opening up a Burns bonus prize box. Today was the day and it was…a Lard Lad building. Lol. Wish I’d waited till after this event to open it, I might have got something different. What is this obsession with Lard Lads EA has all of a sudden?? Lol.
When I open PloVac and select the SciFighter to play, I get this comment: You’re at the cap for one or more resources and won’t receive rewards for them. Are you sure? Yes or no
What does this mean????
It means your Springfield Heights SmartPhone and Railway Trash Currency are maxed out. Playing it will not yield you any rewards.
Does moes brewing co connect to moes tavern? Or will it be able to?
It’s its own building…so you can connect them if you want, but they don’t have to be.
Bonus points for correct usage of “it’s” and “its!”

Yeah, but that was a short-time thing, probably to get people excited about Rail Yard grinding again. I’d actually given it up, but now that they dropped the price to 25,000 blueprints, I’m back at it!
For those struggling to get the event to start…
If you have an Origin/EA ID and are going to try uninstalling etc, it might be worth doing a hard reset AFTER uninstalling and BEFORE reinstalling. It may not make any difference at all but if the ‘glitchy’ file is in your device’s cache then this might help…
I have not tried this as it’s working for me so it’s only something I think might help. Try at your own risk…

Strange….no update at all. Removed the scifi event the day it ended and have otherwise seen no action or dialogue.
Sigh, give up. Again, no update has worked. Have tried all suggestions. Blurgh. Sad. This has never happened before. It works, then doesn’t. Have contacted EA. Much love to my fellow Tappers! xox
I checked all the character collections and prize #5 is not added to the game till Sunday

No update as of 10:30 on Wednesday night. Tried uninstalling- reinstalling- still nothing. Frustrating!!!
I already have four Lard Lads neatly arranged in a square next to my four Kwik-E-Marts. Not sure what to do with the new one – should I sell one of the old ones to make room for it?

Mildly disappointed that the Lard Lads can no longer be sold, though. Can anyone confirm whether the New and Retro Lard Lads are also used in the Where’s Maggie game?
haha i was just messing with you bro, taking liberties with those lyrics. and i only have 1 lard lad placed in my town (well now 2 with the retro one). i actually thought you were trolling us with your initial comment…
You won’t be able to sell the Lard Land it says ‘No deal you can’t sell this’
You can always store one of them in your storage box,
or place the new one in a different place,
Or have the new one in the middle with the other 4 around

I am so glad they cut down the number of blueprints for the monorail donuts. These events always use the main producing characters.
The update is to big for my phone so I’m unable to play at the moment.
If you’re on Android, go to Settings->apps->tapped out, and click “clear app data” (depending on your phone/version of Android, this may differ)
That usually helps mine download the update when I’m getting low on storage. Just be aware that you’ll have to download over 1gb to play again, so make sure you’re on wifi.
Please not another skin for burns.

Hi Lisa my game is doing the same thing I’ve downloaded it 3 times at first I thought it was only my game now I see a definite glitch how EA reads this I hate calling them.
I hope there’s some bonuts with this event

It sure looks like skinny Mr. Burns in #5. Don’t know what building though.
Will you be doing a write up on how exactly the destroying of robots that’s carried over works? I tried it but can’t figure it out. Says I’m maxed in some resources but doesn’t tell me how to spend those.
It looks like the resources from destroying robots are given as Springfield Heights resources (specifically resources from the Institute of Technology building) I’m maxed out in Heights resources so if I play I just get XP.
You receive both Heights resources or rail resources. Finally figured out my garbage was maxed out and needed to build track to unlock it again.
There’s not much too it – it drops Trash (for the monorail) and computers (for Springfield Heights)
The message your getting is because either you are at the maximum amount of trash ( At the rail yard) or smart devices (in spring field heights). to fix it just either build track (monorail) or build something (spring field heights)
My guess is the mystery character is another skin for Burns. During the dialogue, Lenny said Burns is on a health kick and replaced the donuts with kombucha and kale. Maybe it’s some kind of health store or fitness place.

Hiya! I downloaded the update and Homer started. I sent him on his first task, came back a few hours later and my update disappeared. Wha happened? Thank you!

Same thing happened to me
Try rebooting your device. If that doesn’t bring it back, free up a lot of space and make sure you have an origin ID and do a complete uninstall and reinstall. Good luck.
Same here. I’m pissed because I was on prize two about to go to three and bam everything disappeared. I wish EA would test their stuff before sending it out only for it to glitch out. Super frustrating and incredibly annoying

Thanks for the walk through. Fairly straightforward and seems achievable- at least until Part 4. At a goal of 25, ’twill take a wee bit more effort.
