Welcome to the wee early morning hours…at least here on the East Coast. But who can sleep when there are monsters to battle?! Act 3 of the Halloween Event is upon us….so have at it my friends!
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Lisa will start this for you with dialogue between her and Mayor Quimby. This will be followed by an 8hr task for Wiggum. Oh, and you will have to complete the Act 2 questline (up to, and including, Lost in La Mosntra Pt. 12). So if you didn’t complete it yet, you won’t see the new questline.
Act 3 runs until November 15th
Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
New Prize Currency for Act 3.
Megaphones
So the ability to earn Clapboards is now gone. Your counter prize track for Act3 has reset to zero because you have zero Megaphones. So forget about the film and now it’s time to start over with Megaphones.
You’ll earn Megaphones very similar to how you earned Clapboards in Act 2…
-Tapping Fereal Monsters (Double Tap Ones pay 24 , Quadruple Tap Ones Pay 48 ) (they now pay 12/tap)
-Defeating Giant Monsters (Pays 150, 210 or 255 depending on Monster)
-Completing Daily Tasks (Pays 350 when you get a clapboard earning task)
-Tapping Camera in Neighbor’s towns (pays 5 )
-Clearing Cameras in your town, that neighbors have left (pays 1 )
-Sending Kids on Trick-or-Treat Jobs (pays 30 freemium and 40 premium)
-Sending Count Burns, Booberella, Suzanne the Witch and/or Space Mutant to Set Up Training Exercises (pays 50 each)
Trick-Or-Treat Changes
If you have them….Kearney and Jimbo will now be able to Trick-Or-Treat.
Giant Monster
There’s 4th monster shown in the files but I haven’t seen it yet. I’ll check again in 4hrs and update this post if/when I see it….as a reminder here’s the original ones and how you defeat them/what they pay:
Send 1 Character to Fight, pays 150 (no longer active)
Send 2 Characters to Fight, pays 150 plus 60 bonus for second character
And here’s the new Monster…
Send 3 Characters to Fight, pays 150, plus 60 bonus for second slot and 45 bonus for third slot.
Herman and Moe have been added to the battle front.

Act 2 Prizes…
If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT TWO PRIZES” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)
Act 3 Crafting
Crafting remains, as it was during Act 1 and Act 2, for Act 3.

Finally, Booberella is mine!
I’m torn between purchasing Shauna or Booberella…I’m a freemium player so donuts are precious to me. But, I really would like to get one of these for my Springfield. Any advice….?
I had the same choice to make, I bought Shauna. Though if I’m fortunate to earn enough bonuts before the end of Part 3, I’ll get Booberella, too.
It’s more likely that Shauna will be used in other tasks and events (anything that involves sending “kids”), whereas I would think it less likely that Booberella would be used for anything much outside of Halloween events or general “send Springfielders” tasks. However, that’s just a response on practical terms….if having Booberella in your town would bring you more joy, then go with her, since I think that general pleasure should be the number one criterion.

Thanks all!!! I think I will go with Shauna. I am too practical to go with my heart in this case, haha. Also, I’m not sure I REALLY want Booberella – I think I was getting swayed by others.
Between shauna or booberella, it’s hard to choose. If you love Halloween, booberella is awesome but if you want a classic Simpsons bully, (or toughies, as they’re called in TSTO), you might lean towards shauna. I already had shauna so I got booberella right away. I love Halloween and booberella seems like fun but if I had to pick only one, I’d prolly pick shauna cos she’s more important in the simpsons universe and I like the rebels. They both help with the event so that’s a wash. If you have enough in game cash, my best suggestion is fire up the XP collider and farm donuts with blood mobiles or rat trap trucks.

My neighbor has him. Looks like he is just a decoration that is animated when tapped. Like the monster couch. But with bonus %.

Yeah I attempted purchasing it, but as soon as I saw it was a land decoration, aside from a skin for Willy, was an instant pass for me
He is an NPC that disappears into the sandbox when you tap him, then crawls back out and sits in the sandbox and glares at you. Good XP percent(2.5%) for a smallish item that could be placed anywhere. I really like him.
Smallish? It’s 3x bigger than Willie’s shack! Lol

And another thing,… I suppose there will be another monster shortly. There is a fourth slot which isn’t in use yet.

Glad there weren’t too many premium items. I really need to reload. I don’t want any spoilers but can anyone into spoilers tell me if I’m going to need many more doughnuts for this very expensive yet awesome event?
I would love to see my new Halloween area in one shot but I can’t stitch screen shots together.

Thank you! I really need to regroup. I was afraid of another spooky house or zombie sandwich. Not worried about black Friday but I’m sure thanksgiving will have a big ticket and if Christmas is as bad as Halloween doughnut wise I have to start stockpiling now

Hey guys.. so there is a glitch in my game. I logged into my town and had 80k megaphones. When I tapped one monster I was awarded all the prizes…. Kind of takes out the fun of the game now.
I guess you can start in on those bonuts for Black Friday. I’m a little jealous.
But think of all the donuts you can earn now!

Are you sure? It didn’t usually work that way….you can usually still earn bonuts if you finish the final act’s prize track before the end of the event (just like with any other act)….

Yep, going to correct myself. The last event we lost all of the alternate Homers and had fewer ways of earning event currency. Kind of wonder if we lose the giant monsters this time.
Only the caped Homer stayed in Springfield. I would have loved that would have stayed.
This is also the main reason why I stopped playing The Quest For Stuff (Family Guy). Whole buildings and characters disappeared after a quest was over 😡😡😡😡😡😡

If I had to guess, I’d say no, but that’s just a pure guess, based on past events, since, so far, that’s only happened with one event (albeit the most recent one, but it’s too soon to know if that’s the beginning of a new trend).
Excited about a lot of the prizes this year, however I am SUPER bummed to see the pet cemetery isn’t available to purchase this year ! I’ve had a spot carved out in my town beside the regular cemetery for a good two years now but have not been able to purchase it in the past due to donut restrictions, I have plenty this year but I guess that spot will sit empty 🙁
You may want to keep that space carved and your donuts stashed… looks like they are paving the way with the zombies this year.
I’m pretty sure they’ll bring back the pretty cemetery for some sprinkles … Your plot won’t stay empty for long

I’m happily suprised that the prizes I like the most are at the beginning and the middle which means I don’t have to worry about getting all the prizes in time, though I will try to get them, of course. Werewolf Flanders I really want, and the medieval cathedral and the wolf rock as well. Very happy about this 🙂 They look awesome by the way.

Seems like a lot more Megaphones are needed than the previous items, despite the payouts only being the same. Is this Act lasting for longer?
A 4th Monster will be added. And the Feral Monsters drop more per tap
I have an important question. I one has six monsters to fight and only fights 4 will the other two will cumulate to the next slot? Or do I need to play the six and forget about the third fighter for a couple of them as I do not have enough fighters. What is best? Because when I go every 4 hours, I usually only get 2 fights at the time. Only after a longer gap of 6 to 8 hours that I get more fights. Thanks dor your help.
I would fill every slot on the monsters you can and leave the rest for later.

Are you kidding? You haven’t seen third brown monster that “needs” three characters to be defeated? The one that was all the way through the act two?
No. I’m referring to the fact that there’s a FOURTH monster (like the post says) indicated in the files that I haven’t seen yet.

Very happy. Two nice skins in the price track (so they are not premium items, as I feared) and BOOOBerella is back – got her immediately. Was really hoping for her to return, I regretted not getting her earlier. Now she is mine. Muhahahahah!
Now my donut count is again below 100, so saving up again for (maybe) the zombie sandwich (haven’t really decided on it yet, the concept is great, the 1 hours task lengh is not, as I hardly use one hour tasks.)

Nightmare Willie is a NPC/decoration. He doesn’t move around, he only digs himself in to the ground and after a few seconds he reappears. Though I find him very 😎 Other people might find him scary, since he has become a very big spider.
