As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. Halloween Act 3 is Live!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Welcome to the wee early morning hours…at least here on the East Coast. But who can sleep when there are monsters to battle?!  Act 3 of the Halloween Event is upon us….so have at it my friends!

Remember…this is an automatic change in your game.  Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..

Lisa will start this for you with dialogue between her and Mayor Quimby.  This will be followed by an 8hr task for Wiggum.  Oh, and you will have to complete the Act 2 questline (up to, and including, Lost in La Mosntra Pt. 12).  So if you didn’t complete it yet, you won’t see the new questline.

Act 3 runs until November 15th

Feral Monsters Evolve Again!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

As some of you have noticed…your Feral Monsters (aka Rats) have evolved yet again this morning. All that RedBull must have made them hungry because they’ve plumped up..and now they’re HANGRY for more…

charactersets_feralbeast03Clearing these winged creatures requires FOUR taps.  Quadruple the taps also means, quadruple the currency!  These Plumped Up Flying Ferals will earn you 10ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg each time you tap them…so 40 ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg each when you clear them.

Pretty sweet right?

Note the new Feral Monsters always fly…they don’t crawl around on the ground.

The smaller Winged Monsters are still around as well…

Remember this guys take 2 taps to clear and earn 10ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg each tap.

So winged earns 20ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg when cleared
Giant Winged, earn 40ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg when cleared.

Oh and the original Feral Monsters…well what’s the old saying?  Evolve or die?  Yea…they’re not around anymore…

Should I Buy the Shinning Hotel and Maze Bundle?

As with all of the recent updates, and especially the HUGE major updates (including the one in which we now find ourselves deeply immersed), there are LOADS of opportunities to purchase buildings, decorations, and characters from updates past. Some call ’em “Retreads,” others call ’em “A Second Chance to Get What I Missed,” and still others call them nothing at all…but still pull the Donut Trigger when they are offered.

In this installment of “Should I Buy?” I cover the Shinning Hotel and Maze combo. Is my DTF (Donut Trigger Finger) itchy? Or will I keep the safety locked firmly in position?

How Does the THOH 2016 Stack Up to the Past?

First of all, I realize that we are barely 1/3 into the huge THOH 2016 update in TSTO.  However, while I realize that Alissa is resolute in her decision not to talk about items we haven’t seen in the game before they actually come out, I am going to break that rule and talk about some things we are going to see in Act II and Act III.  I, like many of you, sneak off to some of the “spoiler sites” and can tell you that what I have seen is…

New Feral Monsters

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

As many of you have noticed…your Feral Monsters (aka Rats) have evolved this morning.  Some of them must have gotten into the RedBull, because they now have wings!feralbeast02_defeated_image_2

Halloween 2016 Prize Guide: Act 1, Prize 4 Burns Family Crypt

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields!  Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky and there are monsters everywhere to battle.  Just like October in every other suburban town in America, no?

The Halloween Event is in full swing on our devices and it’s full of creepy decorations, buildings and characters…all designed to get us into the Halloween spirit!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Film Strips (ico_cur_thoh2016_filmstrip_lg) to unlock each prize!

The fourth Act 1 Prize is awarded at 20,400 ico_cur_thoh2016_filmstrip_lg is the Burns Family Crypt, because why wouldn’t Springfield’s oldest citizen have a family Crypt just waiting for him to jump in…
