As I predicted yesterday, the Thanksgiving mini update has arrived!
Note: If you have not yet downloaded the Halloween Removal Update from the App Store (which arrived yesterday), you will need to do that before you can see the Thanksgiving event…
Things get started in Springfield with some Auto-Dialogue from Brockman followed by a series of tasks (6s) to get things going. Task order is Homer; Cletus (and Homer); Flanders, Cletus & Apu…this will then kick things off for you.
I‘ll be back with more in a bit…BUT you will be awarded a bunch of tress for free to set the stage for the Hunt, after you’ve completed the initial series of 6s tasks…. (It does not appear that you’ll need to place these to move on.)

Event Ends November 30th. Which likely means we’ll see Christmas December 1st…of course they can still wait till the following week as well. Just my speculation…
So as I mentioned above you’ll need to complete a series of 6 second tasks in order to get the event started. But once started you’ll launch the event questline, and the new items in the store.
This event is laid out like the previous mini events we’ve seen over the last year + (Most recently Springfield Games and the 2016 Season Premiere Tie-In). Where you follow a series of tasks to unlock prizes. The prizes could be items, they could be cahracters or they could just be animated tasks for existing characters. We’ll cover the rundown of how you unlock each prize in the Turbo Tappin’ Post. First, let’s get started with the new items that appear in the store…
Let’s start with the new items in the store…
Maple Tree- $675
Willow Tree- $4,500
Ancient Ornamental Pond- $2,500
Springfield Hunting Supplies- 135 Donuts. Comes with Grant Connor, and will help you earn pelts (the material need to unlock the prizes) faster. Yes, a should I Buy is coming…
Improvised Snare- 60 Donuts. Offers a 2.5% bonus on all cash and XP. Also produces pelts. And yes, a Should I Buy is coming…
Also, as mentioned above, you’ll get a tree bundle (25 Trees, including 1 Willow and 1 Maple Tree) for free before you trigger the Most Dangerous Game Questline.
Returning Items at a Discount..well a rebate
Bear Cave- 100 Donuts, with a 50 donut Rebate. So Net 50 Donuts. Offers a .75% bonus on all cash and XP Should I Buy (Not actually covered in snow. The file image I have is from last Christmas, showing the snow)
Hot Springs- 45 Donuts, with a 15 Donut Rebate. So Net 30 Donuts. Offers a 2.25% bonus on all cash and XP. Should I Buy
Fever Cabin- 30 Donuts, with a 10 Donut Rebate. So Net 20 Donuts. Offers a .25% bonus on all cash and XP. Should I Buy
Springfield Falls- 90 Donuts, with a 30 Donut Rebate. So Net 60 Donuts. Should I Buy
Wild West Film Set & Buck McCoy- 150 Donuts, with a 50 Donut Rebate. So net 100 Donuts. Should I Buy (And yes, 100 donuts for character/building combo is usually a buy in my book) This will not appear until AFTER you’ve completed The Most Dangerous Game Pt. 2, Buck McCoy returns to the store. You can purchase him to help with the 
earning.
So before you ask….
Yes, it does appear that there will be Black Friday Deals. Black Friday starts Friday November 25th (the day after the US Thanksgiving). It also appears that there will be a special new item offered for Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday is the Monday after Thanksgiving in the US, so Monday November 28th. Which means you can review the offerings for both days BEFORE this event ends. Which will allow you to make a premium decision on the new items…without worrying you’ll miss something.
Now let’s talk about the prizes…. (and again I’ll have the breakdown on how to get each one in the Turbo Tappin’ post, which will be up later today)
Camping Tent- Awarded at 60
Crappy RV- Awarded at 90
Wildlife Sanctuary- 190
BBQ Pig- 120
At this point you’ll unlock the two mystery animations. I won’t reveal them yet. But I’ll let you know how many are needed for each…

How do I earn ?
Much like every other mini event you’ll earn the (event currency) by completing character tasks via the prizetrack/questline. (the key characters are Homer, Apu, Lisa, Moe, Flanders & Cletus. Some others will join and leave, but those are the main ones to be sure and keep free) However with this event, once you’ve completed the Most Dangerous Game Pt. 2 you’ll also be able to earn by tapping Wild Animals you may find in Springfield..
And that’s it my friends! Once you’ve completed the questline, as has been the theme with various other events, there will be a little game to play where you can earn Cash, XP or the chance for Pharmaceuticals (for SH) up to 3 times/day. I’ll cover that in the Turbo Tappin’ post. For now you’ve got all of the details you’ll need to move through the event.
Remember the event ends on November 30th (2 weeks).

I think I got my wife addicted to TSTO. After over 5 years of watching me glued to my ipad playing, she installed it on hers to see what it was all about. Now she has it installed on her phone so she can check in during her lunch break. Heh, I’m officially a dealer, feeding a new addict!

Since this update I’m having trouble locating Gone Fission, does anybody know where it usually is in the store?

Apu’s Apocalypse Jeep now has a multiplier of 2.25%.
Damn!! I made almost 30 of those during the storage multiplier glitch, just tried to place them and I get an error message saying the item has already been built. Oh well, they weren’t ‘legal’ anyway lol.
I did the same thing, but only duplicated 20 of them. It won’t let me place more than one either (that should teach me not to procrastinate on my decorating like I have the past year, because I had designs plans for a few more), I guess I’ll have 19 stuck in an inventory purgatory til the end of time. And maybe that’s not a bad thing because I still have no idea what I’m gonna do with 100 windmills…
Now they’ll be mocking you from inventory forever. 🙁

To be honest these prizes are way better than those from last two big events – scifi and halloween
Scifi was AWFUL. I have a teeny tiny scifi area in my town. EVERYTHING else went into storage.
Anyone noticed the price of the willow tree? 4500 each tree it’s crazy expensive for a tree the maximum price is around 700 money? Will the EA underprice it in the next time as they did for the mafia car or for the prison bus?

Forgive the repetition if this is something that was mentioned in the comments (which I haven’t finished reading) but the Ancient Ornamental Pond sounds like a new item in this post, but it appears to be a previously offered prize item. I saw it in the mini-event post but couldn’t find it in my store. I reloaded, signed out and back in etc etc. but it never showed up in the store. Then I looked closer and realized it was an item (event prize) from a previous event (THOH 2015? 2014?)
It’s the pond where Homer went seeking the donut treasure, if I recall correctly. I compared your posted image against the older Homer donut quest pond and – yup! it’s the same item.

This update changed my confirm doughnut spend setting and it cost me 2 doughnuts. (fortunately, they were free boughnuts from the halloween event).
Please indulge my silly question that I prob know the answer to (I’m just really hoping you’ll say no because they’re so pretty).
Do the magical files show the new trees going back to green in the spring? The red and orange are so gorgeous! Stay that way forever!!
Also I’m glad I’m not the only one excited for new trees lol.
Or is better the hot springs for 30 donuts with a bonus of 2.25%?
On the other hand, this is an excellent deal, from a bonus percentage perspective, so, if you like it at all, I’d definitely say get it. I picked it up in a flash!

I saw that there is the Springfield falls for 90 donuts with a refund of 30 donuts so net cost of 60 donuts. Anyone know if it worth the donuts spent? I mean a 1.50% bonus for a 60 donuts decoration is a reasonable price or is overpriced?
I measure bonuses against the jet engine bike, which offers 2% for 30 donuts and is small, so it can be easily placed (either visibility or behind something). So, 60 donuts for 1.5% isn’t particularly good, but it’s a decoration, so, if you like the look of it and can afford it, then get it for that reason.

By the way, the currency isn’t pellets, it’s pelts. As in something a hunter would collect. As in critters that have cute tails attached. 🐺🐨🐻

Not much into Turkey..or Thanksgiving lol. But I love the time off of work! And spending the 4 day weekend with my hubby and Miss Riley (plus Christmas decorating!)

I think of this season in the game as “ornate downtime”. Thanksgiving has no meaning where I’m from, and I couldn’t care less about Christmas. The way I see it, I just get to play some uninteresting events and win some prizes along the way.
I love all of the new additions (that I’ve received so far), and all of the new content looks fun. I bought a few things with doughnuts. I got Springfield Falls, the bear cave, the rabbit trap (love it), and Springfield Hunting Supplies with Grant Conner. It’s great to be able to get doughnuts back on some of these things, because I’m trying to save as many doughnuts as possible in anticipation of Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.
How much for the springfield falls? Any donuts rebates?
90 doughnuts with 30 doughnut rebate. So 60 doughnuts after the rebate. Good deal.
Yay I’m excited for this event. I was getting a bit burned out on the game the last few weeks but the new trees and nature sanctuary are beautiful 🙂 I think I might purchase a hot spring as well.
Are the new trees limited time or will they be around forever now? Need to know if I should stockpile.

Willow trees are my favorite tree – highly tempted to remove all trees from my Springfield and spend all my cash on willow trees. I never would have imagined I would get so excited over a freaking tree in this game! Haha

Did you read what the post says, right by Buck McCoy? It’s only available AFTER you’ve completed Dangerous Games Pt. 4. Unless you’re rushing with donuts, you’re not there yet.

Even though I went looking for what you meant I didn’t find it. At the third or forth time going back and forth (your post – Buck McCoy) I noticed, that you wrote it above Buck McCoy. It look as if that bit belongs to the Hot Springs. I think more people will see if, if you write it underneath.

Do any npc have bonuses? Normally store mine, but pulled out some thanksgiving and Christmas themed ones. Just notice my bonus up 2.25% from this morning before they where out. Ideas?
