So tomorrow, November 24th, is Thanksgiving here in the US. But it’s the next day, November 25th, that will have many Tappers grateful!
On Friday (November 25th) TSTO will launch their traditional Black Friday rebate specials! Where every hour starting from 3am ET (8am GMT) another item will appear in the shops to purchase for a rebated donut price!
Now you know our typical site policy is to not post spoilers, but from time to time we will if/when we feel there is a specific need or good reasoning behind it. (we usually don’t because EA can, has and will change their minds about what might go live vs. what’s in the files).
HOWEVER…in this case, since many of you want to know what may be appearing as part of these rebate offerings (since many of you have been talking about it for months), so that you can prepare your dounts…I felt in this case it’s appropriate to post a list a couple of days in advance so you guys can get a feel for what’ll be offered and how many donuts you’ll need.
So here’s a quick breakdown of what will be offered and when…
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK! (although none of it is new content…just returning content)
First, a disclaimer…these are what we currently see in the game files. And are subject to change at any time prior to going live in the game by EA. So use it as a guide, not as the definitive pricing….
And now a quick recap of the main gist of these rebates…
- These are items you do NOT already have in your game OR they are items that you may be able to get more than one of (like a Premium Tree). If you already have the item in your game, you will see skipped blocks of time where the item would have been. If you have ALL the items already, you may not even see a Sales list at all… or a very very limited one.
- This is a list based off of the information at time of this post. EA can change that information at anytime before the Sales go live in your game.
- You will still have to pay the FULL Donut Price of each item, then you will get the Donut Rebate amount back with purchase. So make sure you have the FULL Price worth of Donuts in your game or you will not be able to purchase the items.
Oh and yes, I will have a post for each day breaking down the items. That post will link to their SIB posts and my current opinion on the items at the discounted price. So look for those posts to go live around the time the items are set to hit the stores again.
Now on with the offerings…
Each item will unlock for purchase for ONE HOUR. Once that hour is up it’ll lock again and a new item will unlock. Each item will appear twice…

It sounds like your game hasn’t updated. Were you given a free Cornucopia yet? The Thanksgiving offers are presented afterwards.
Yup, when I opened my game today, got the Lisa dialogue that led to the free cornucopia. Hard closed the game and restarted phone even, but can’t get this deal to show up. I might consider uninstalling and re-installing game; just wish the game wasn’t so large.
Some old Thanksgiving premium offers just came online, expiring at 8am UTC (3am EST) on Friday 25th, two of which contain premium characters:

One of EA’s biggest eff ups imo. Who doesn’t want to see him being walked by Bart, giving Maggie a ride, chewing Homer’s shoes etc. Instead he’s put inside for every task 🙁

You really should also reveal the details of the Cyber Monday item so people can make better decisions on what they want from the Black Friday offerings. If people knew they needed 175 donuts for an item they Really Want, they may be less inclined to purchase Black Friday deals.
Yeah, normally I hate spoilers, but if I get the two character/building combos available now, and then the three combos available in the Black Friday sales, I’ll only have about 50 donuts left. So if that info is already available, it would be nice to know whether the new item is something I’d love to have now, in which case I’d hold off on one of the combos, or something I’d be in no big hurry for. It’s obviously your decision, but maybe consider posting that info behind a spoiler warning? (Unless there are legal reasons you’re waiting, then fair enough.)

I’ve saved over 150 donuts so it looks like I’m finally getting the Simpsons’ dog. 50% off on an originally free character? And one with tasks now? Sounds like a good deal!

Hoping EA is just messing with us. Last year there were 14 characters this year 3. To make it even worse the 3 that are offered are all pretty boring. Fingers crossed this is a very late or very early April fools joke from EA.

I’ve been locked out of the game for more than 100 hours now. EA doesn’t seem to be doing anything to fix it, and I’m not seeing any other comments about it – am I really the only one? I did open a case at the EA website, but I’m not expecting anything.
You’re not the only one.
Have you done all the regular troubleshooting? Reboot your device, clean off at least 2 gigs of space on your device, clear cache, reboot your WiFi and router, uninstall reinstall. If you do all that then you will need EA. Is there anyway to request a call in your area? Good luck.
Sorry, I forgot to mention but I did clear all data, reinstall, change my password, none of that worked. I don’t think I can request a call but I opened a case anyway, still awaiting a reply. Glad to know I’m not the only one.
You can open a chat to EA and even a callback by phone 📱 by EA.
I have done both and the solutions they offered did solve my problems with the game.
I thought you probably had done them, but wanted to be sure. Have you tried the wifi reboot? I hope you get this sorted out soon. 🙂

I was locked out too. The only way i could get in was to change my password which I could only do on a real pc, couldn’t make it work on phone or tablet.
Only thing I’m picking up is the K9 officer. Been planning on getting him for a while, you know me, NPCs and animals are my favourite things to buy. But ya pretty underwhelming offerings this year. Already actually have a lot of these for free from events too. Hopefully the Christmas event brings back some stuff like the decos for the houses and the reindeer.
After seeing what was going to be offered, I caved in and bought the Bear Cave. 🐻 😀

So I had saved up 725 doughnuts and counting (thank you farming) in anticipation of the Black Friday deals. Alas- nothing interests me with the exception (perhaps) of Springfield Gorge. So I went ahead and bought the Volcano Lair, and Florence of Arabia, because I’ve been wanting them. I’m hoping to get through their quest lines before the Christmas event starts.

The Gorge is on my list…at a 50% discount it’s too much of an iconic Simpsons item not to get.
I’ll probably get the Springfield gorge for the reason you stated. Also- You might not remember, but i had said that I was going to pass on the Zombie sandwich during the Halloween event. Well i caved and bought it on the last day, and now I’m glad I did, because the Black Friday items are yawners. 🙂 I was afraid to spend my doughnuts on a sandwich. LOL! 😉

Yeah, have to agree with the majority here. Not too much to get excited about. Might get Largo and Don Vittorio, and I’m only kind of lukewarm on them. Pretty disappointing. Will probably end up saving my donuts.
I need some female characters in my Springfield. I am a freeium player, I have 115 total characters, only 28 are females. EA need to balance it out, and I guess they won’t start this Friday

How long does the offer stay for because some of times I’m asleep or at school
Once item appears in the store each hour. At the end of that hour the item disappears. It’ll come back again in the store for 1 hr, 12hrs later.
Hard pass from me this year. The only thing I’m really interested in is the Gorge and I can’t afford it. Soooo guess I’ll just keep saving up donuts for the Christmas event.

I have been trying to get up to 200 donuts is the last few weeks just incase Hank Scorpio and the Volcano Lair went on sale. So I am a little less bummed that I only got to 192. I will probably pick up Gino/It’s a Wonderful Knife. I started this game right in the middle of the Terwilliger so it has always been a sore spot for me that I didn’t get most of the items in that event. I might get 1 or 2 stocks. They would look good in my Wild West area but I am assume that it is only a decoration at that price. Even at only at 5 donuts I have a hard time paying for just a decoration.
Does the billboard come with the Gorgeous Grandpa skin? 🙂

Yikes! I was really looking forward to the deals this year, but I’m disappointed in the offerings. I can honestly say that none of the things being offered interests me very much. 🙁 There were two things that I really wanted, but they’re not being offered (Volcano Lair, and Florence of Arabia). So I guess I’ll be buying those two things at full price. Se la vie.
One thing you can watch for, EA tends to take things out of the store before a big sale like this so that people aren’t complaining about paying full price one day and it going on sale a day or two later.
So if it’s still in the store at full price, it’s a pretty good indication that it won’t be going on sale.
Santa’s Little Helper and the K-9 Officer I’ve been wanting for like ever! I can’t wait to pick them up for a discounted price! I was hoping the guinea pig/rescue and a few other things would be in the sale which makes me sad. I think however, I’ll grab Dewey so I will have more help collecting the recycling stuff, he was low on my want list but because he is helpful and on discount I’ll get him. The rest of the stuff I’m not excited over. It is nice to see discounts on so many for the humongous items (referring to both size and price) but because of space restrictions and I still think they are over priced for what they are I’m passing. Depending on my mood I may pick up some of the vehicles and perhaps the catapult. I feel EA’s Black Friday deals this time around are on the blah side.
I’m glad you wrote this, because I think I was confusing the animal shelter with the guinea pig rescue center. Now I’ll have to go look up the animal shelter and see if I still want it!
Ugh – just looked it up and saw that it’s just a building. On the other hand, 40 net donuts isn’t bad, so I may still get it anyway.
I’ve also been saving for this and am not really impressed or excited about anything on this list =(
