We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

I was hoping that the First Church of Lard Lad would would be offered again during the recent Lard Lad episode tie-in, since it was last offered before I began playing, and it’s on my “really want it a lot” list.
The Halloween/THOH event and the Black Friday sales have resulted in adding adding characters to my town. Dewey Largo, Don Vittorino and Gino from Black Friday, and from THOH I picked up Booba related … and I’m totally blanking on the other two.
One nice side-effect of these two events is that my bonus percent has gone up almost 60%, to just shy of 400%.

I’m ecstatic about the Huskies beating the Cougars. Next up- Colorado in the PAC 12 championship game. I’m also very happy for my wife. Her Beavers beat the Ducks.

Man, it was freakin IMPOSSIBLE to get the Black Friday deals! I was so pissed off, I missed half of them without knowing why and then I realized that each one only unlocks for like a few minutes during a specific timeframe, and if you’re not on the app during that time you’re outta luck. It’s a small matter, but I really wanted Santa’s Little Helper, K9 and a few other things, I just missed out on them because I had no idea of the format 🙁 Hopefully next Black Friday will be better.
Its the same format every Black Friday. Starting at 3am EST, 12 items appear consecutively for 1 hour each, and those 12 items repeat the next 12 hours. If the item is unique and you already have it, that hour remains blank.
This continues for 3 days with 36 items getting rebates over 72 hours (12 each day twice for an hour).
No – they were each available for a full hour twice, 12 hours apart.

I have a few questions for you all about design. I have recently come into a lot of donuts and new things, and I’d really like to redesign my town to accommodate them nicely. However, having once nuked my town and decided to never ever ever ever do that again, I’m wondering the best way to rebuild when you want to keep large sections intact but don’t have anywhere to put the things you want to move in the meantime. Storing a ton of stuff seems cumbersome, but… perhaps it’s the only way?
Also, is there a list anywhere of the buildings that have tasks associated with them? Especially visual tasks, I like the idea of having all my characters near eachother. I have a few areas that work well for that already, but I know other random buildings are just stuck wherever and I probably don’t even realize they’re being used that way (or animated).
Lastly… what do you like best about your town? I have lots of ideas but am trying to think of more before I begin the overhaul.

The best way to do it without nuking is to use an open patch of land. If you’re packed full and there’s no more blocks to buy, then yeah you’ll probably have to store a few to open up some room to move things around.
In my Springfield, I’m pretty happy with the way I’ve been able to tie similar buildings together like you would see in a regular town. For instance, I got my sports arenas together and then put some of the nightclubs and restaurants around them, kind of creating an entertainment district. Same thing with the museums and tech buildings. Warehouses are grouped together in an industrial zone, etc…
The ability to select an area is the best thing to happen to me as a town designer. Not only can you move large chunks of your town, but it also comes with a “swap” option wherever you put it down. Some things might still end up in storage, but swapping items can really cut down on that.
Don’t know of a list of buildings with tasks, and it can really depend what you have. There are a lot of characters with tasks using a bench, snd I’ve seen that used to great effect when grouping characters together. The most commonly used buildings are probably the brown house, elementary school, KEM, and Moe’s. (None have the most exciting building animation, but they technically animate.)
What I like best about my town is like asking me what I like to eat the most. The answer will shift based on mood, or could include the phrase “a lot of things.” The design I think I’ve gotten the most compliments about is my Ziffco building, the thing I’m probably most unreasonably proud of is the pyramid I build for the fortress of lonelitude, but I mostly like the way many areas flow together thematically and color-wise.

I have never done a ginormous overhaul, but one thing that has worked for me is to re-do my town square and medieval castle wall area for events. I am most pleased with two things. One is that I designed my town to have a walkable town center, with a city square, shopping district, key residences, and main municipal buildings close to the center. I use my bench character tasks a lot so I have benches and pocket parks everywhere. The other thing I’m really happy about is my use of nature elements. When I first started the game I put in canals, and now I also have a big river. I have a large forested area that now includes every feature I could get, like Springfield Falls and the new falls with the rainbow. Across the river is Willy’s cabin, the wolf rock, and some swamps. This is low lying territory so I have a bunch of brown houses there that keep their Christmas lights all year like at the beach. Happy designing!
Imagine you suddenly found yourself in your Springfield, like you were a living character in it. How comfortable do you think navigating around your town would be for you, when doing it from the immersed perspective? What part of town would you most want to visit? Assuming your starting from the Simpson’s house, how long a walk would that be? Or could you take your monorail part, or all, of the way there?
I would stay in my Beach House and pay Kirk to bring me my groceries every week.
I’d likely have to take the car up to my entertainment district with the sports arenas, bars and night clubs and the squidport right across the road. Or, i’d probably venture over to the Casino strip pretty frequently.
Interesting question! I’ve laid out my town in a way I find quite sensible, so I think I could navigate easily. I even have a couple houses I would most like to live in.
My library/park is very close to the Simpson house, like a block or two away. Some of the good restaurants are also quite close, though others are halfway across town. My mall and mini golf course would be six or eight blocks, I think. Gave up on the monorail, so I couldn’t use that. Maybe I’d have a motorcycle that just appeared under me, though. That would be rad.
Or you could use one of your jet engine bikes… I’m sure you must have at least one of those in your town, right? 😉
I do, but it’s out in the boonies/forest/farmland. If the stationary vehicles would work, though, I have plenty to chose from. I think the closest to my Simpson house would be the Canyonero parked at the KEM gas pumps, but I would probably opt for the Powers car.
Yeah – I’m guessing that the Canyonero gets lousy gas mileage. Personally, I’m rather fond of the cars with fins (both of which are currently awaiting valet service outside The Coconut Babaloo), but those are probably gas guzzlers, too.
Those gas guzzlers all have a gas tank with sound proofing, otherwise you will go deaf because of the terrible noise your hear from emptying that tank
But are we allowed on the west side? My west side is the slums part of town so cookie kwan wouldn’t have any trouble with me.
You can go anywhere you can actually get to (for example, I’ve seen some towns that have the tunnel blocked off, making the West side inaccessible), although it might not be advisable. For example, I’d probably stay away from this part of my town:

What do you consider to be the west side for me I consider the side with the squid port to be west springfield heights in the north and the others are self explanatory. But where the town has moved southwards with casino and wild west update my town hall is now central but the simpsons house is now more northwards where it was originally the central point.
Springfield Heights is the West Side…I always thought the mountains were Wesr and the sea was the South, but I was happy when Cookie and Springfield Heights came pout and confirmed it.
Since it Springfield USA, I consider the sea as East.

My thoughts exactly.
I have the library, parks, schools and some restaurants near the Simpson house, and small business within walking distance…as well as one of the monorail terminals. Other monorail terminals stop at 1)downtown/restaurant area, 2)mall and shopping area with tech businesses and more restaurants nearby, 3) Santas village area near cheaper small businesses, and 4) Tetanus terminal in the low rent section. The beach is all high end homes, resorts and casinos.
My new favorite place I would stay is the Havana Home…right on the beach and near downtown, restaurants, the monorail station and the outdoor performance stage.
I’m wondering if we’ll finally get that long awaited night mode. Oo.

The building to toggle day and Ishtar is alrEAdy there, the High Tension Transformer. I have it next to the Simpson House to power Homer’s Christmas 🎄lights. The only thing EA has to do is install the switch (and working the lights in the homes and on the streets.
And if they are at it, EA should give us the weather, depending in the local situation. ☀️☁️⛈🌨🌪💨
Made me think how fun to have a cyclone like In the Wizard of Oz…actually that would make a fun event…Lisa could be Dorothy, Homer could be the Wizard, Bart could be the Scarecrow, Milhouse could be the Cowardly Lion and so on…hmmmmm.

Basically as you level up, you’ll unlock more portions of it. However, it takes a lot of levels to really get to them. That’s all I can really say, as I’m still on Homer as well.
I leveled up from level 60 to the max of 939 in one evening. It took 150 million in gamecash conversing to donuts (with a bonus percentage of 450 and a running XP collider)
If you turn on your XP collider when you do money mountain, you will level up quickly and probably gain a family member. It’s worth turning it on just for the donuts, tho. When you are leveling up at 500,000 or less, $15,000,000 is a lot of XP …multiplied by 5 with the collider, and you have a lot of donuts.
Has anyone checked their “hidden XP” from Springfield Heights lately? I just did the Gulp and Blow calculation and came out with exactly 100% over the conformometer XP bonus figure. With 10 of everything out in SH and at least level 2, it should be running 153% (3% from 3 private islands). I did it 3 times to be sure and counted all my SH building several times also…keep coming up 53% shy. Anyone else checked their bonus XP lately?
I would like to know more about this also. I also noticed your points from the conformometer doesn’t instantly go up when your % goes up. It seems like you have to hit a certain level. I noticed this while KEM farming. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I just checked mine and I’m getting 151.65% instead of 153%. I know it’s been 153% in the past.

Nothing left in the inventory but additions to the main buildings…I even double checked the store to see if I had sold something by accident, but all my buildings are present in SH. Weird.
Was thinking I might store all my SH buildings, check the XP with the Gulp and Blow system…then pull it all out again and recheck. Can’t think of any other way to be sure I didn’t mess up somewhere.
I got two things that I had wanted before but hadn’t gotten at the time: the Old West sign and the police tank. I’m pleased with it, but had hoped like many others that some of the regular character/building combo’s would have been for sale. I’ve still got my eye on Plato’s, Luann, Florence of Arabia, and Manjula.
Yeah me too I waited hoping to see on Black Friday sales Plato’s plus Jonny thightlips and Florence of Arabia plus princess kakemire but nothing…so I choose the gorge and don vittorio. I will see and wait the next deal for platos and Florence of Arabia or better the museum of natural history with molloy

Pretty disappointed with Black Friday this year. I saved almost 600 donuts, was ready to purchase more and there is really nothing. I picked up Santas Little Helper, but am disappointed I can never see him, will probably get the cannon assuming I get out of work on time.
Had a good Thanksgiving, made a ton of pies. Everything came out great. Work has sucked all weekend.
I decided to pick up the cannon from the Black Friday bargins. I don’t have Sideshow Mel yet, but hopefully he’s a fun character in this game.
Just bought the catapult after discovering I had no room in or near my castle from the COC event I’ve settled with putting it outside the crazy cat ladies house as her property if her arms ever get tired. It’s too fun launching them while she is throwing next to it like they are competing for longest distance launched.
I wish it switched to iguanas when she is in that skin…they are more fun to watch.
In her iguana skin, she can throw iguanas.
I just wish the catapult could match her…an iguanapult?

I know how you feel as a fellow britonian I mean normally it’s a few weeks behind but this time the wait is getting ridiculous. I remember last year the delay worked in our favour IMO as we got the Christmas episode nearer to the real time than Americans on the evening of 24th December. Their is a site that you can stream them on but I don’t think I can say as the moderators wouldn’t be too happy. Plus tv is always better IMO
I’ve been glad of the lighter pace that the Thanksgiving mini event provided. I’ve been seriously busy with a heavy teacher’s workload recently so not had much chance to log on more than twice a day. I would like to say that it will get better but I doubt it won’t before Christmas.
Just marked my year 10 history GCSE books ready for an observation tomorrow. This is a critical one for me so feeling a little nervous about it. Nearly all prepped luckily and overdosed on coffee and chocolate whilst marking the books so feeling a bit chilled out. The topic tomorrow is Cowboys and the American cattle industry- expecting someone to solely believe everything they’ve ever seen on tv about cowboys.

Well I survived it relatively unscathed. Quite a lot of things I can do that are quick wins and the verdict is that I have a really solid teaching base but it needs to be developed further. Still on track to pass my NQT year though- with lots of work. One of them used Toy Story as their basis for cowboy knowledge!

I bought the one week wonder film studios which I couldn’t get this past summer because I was away at Universal in Orlando. The Simpsons area there is fantastic! I dined at Moe’s Tavern while I was there! XD pure awesome sauce! Loved the ride too!

Between some things getting a shiny new multiplier and other things being on sale, my multiplier broke 500% this week 😄
What got new multipliers??
Off the top of my head: windmills, the Duff racer, Springfield Falls. I think something else may have, as well, like the feast table or somesuch thing, but I’m less sure about that.

So finished off my Vortex water feature for now – need to get a slightly stronger pump so the water overflows better and might change the base if I find something better. Had to drill the holes in the glass vase myself as couldn’t find someone to do it (and couldn’t find an acrylic vase either) but found a glass drill bit and managed to do it without shattering the vase! A hairline crack but who can tell? 😊 Was a stinker here today (30+) so again I smell bad! Now time for a bath!

I don’t have building instructions as such. I watched a YouTube video which showed the basic process (link below). However, he used a bigger container with a much more powerful pump so used 2 inlet pipes whereas I only used 1. I sacrificed a cheap plastic container to make a prototype and once I was sure it would work then tried it with a glass vase. To drill holes in glass I checked various sites and settled with doing it in the kitchen sink! I put a towel down to prevent the upside down vase from slipping, ran the tap over it while drilling to lubricate and to keep it from getting too hot. I used a 12mm glass and tile drill bit (the biggest I could find) and drilled really slowly! Once through I had to ‘wriggle’ it because I need the edge hole to be about 20mm (the centre hole is a little smaller). 1 hole has to be as dead centre as possible (to create the vortex) and then a 2nd hole close to the edge for the inlet (must be able to fit a pipe with a 90 degree elbow). The elbow is set parallel to the edge of the vase so the water spins as it comes in.
Best is to experiment with a cheap plastic container so that you get an idea of how big to make the holes because that depends on the power of your pump etc.
