Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The snow is falling in Springfield, which can only mean Winter has arrived in our pocket-sized towns! And is in full swing on our devices.
In a change of pace, this Event is broken up into just 2 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Antlers (
) to unlock each prize!
The First Act 1 Prize awarded at 4,850
is the Goat God Statue, because Ralphie needs one more thing to lick…
So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 4,850
you’ll automatically be awarded the Goat God Statue and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield immediately or store it in your inventory for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go back into your inventory to retrieve it.
The statue does come with some an short questline and a hilarious task for Ralph. Here’s a look..
Goat God
Wiggum: Okay Ralphie, we’re gonna visit Jack Frost’s Ice Garden. Just promise you won’t lick the ice statues.
Ralph: Ice is frozen air!

Ralph: I promise! Look! Yummy ice sculptures!

Hi, did I miss the should I spend donuts on the singing stones?
Thanks
Nope they just hit today, haven’t done one yet.
Looking forward to it! 🙂
In case you don’t want to store your singing stones to get the numbers, here’s the sequence in letters coresponding (as best I can) with the runes on the stones:
D R R T F B B
Dang it, I left one out! Sorry. Let’s try this again…
D R R T R F B B
Thank you! I was trying to figure it out and or some reason I just wasn’t getting it. 🙂
If you have covered this already, I’m sorry. I’ve looked but couldn’t wade through the comments as well. Should we only hand in as many offerings to complete the daily prize and save supplies for upcoming days? I figure it’s just a strategy and it might not matter to much but I was curious.
Thanks for all you do running this site! Your walk throughs help me so much with these longer events! Sometimes your advice is the reason I’m able to complete the prize tracks! All you guys do awesome and I really appreciate it all!!!
Not really. The daily prizes are really more “bonuses” than road blocks. You can keep turning them in to add to your overall Prize track totals.
So, it seems that during this update, Prarie Maggie’s 4hr task ‘Listen to gramaphone music’ has moved from the Simpsons’ House to that huge event hub thing from the Wild West Event? Anyone else notice this? It’s nice that I can now kick her out of the task if it’s time for Where’s Maggie, but that group of Old West buildings is HUGE. Ugh.
Also, what’s up with neighbor tasks? Do we only get Antlers for the first 30 friend tasks (ie., 10 neighbors)? And, just to whine a bit, why can we only look for one Neighbor Gnome a day? C’mon, EA – make the neighborhood more useful! I really likey being able to drop Prospectors in my neighbors towns during the Wild West Event! Something like that would be good. Or I keep hearing about ‘Community Prizes’ that were available in the past – can we bring those back? ☺
Anyone else lost the Antlers icon in their Event Task Notebook Thingie on the bottom left of the screen?! It use to tell me I had xxx event currency & needed xxxx event currency to get the ‘next item in the prize track’, with a handy ‘Do It’ button that would bring me to a Pagan to tap (which was very helpful when I couldnt see anymore, but hadnt gotten the ‘there’s no more Pagans in your town!’ message yet. I got the 2nd batch of Runestones, then…nothing. 😢
Alissa & Co., thank you so much for this site & all that you do for it/TSTO Players/Addicts – it’s helped SO much! Have a great holiday season!
That happened to me once several months ago, then it went away again. Currently, it’s still at the Simpsons’ House for me.
Well, it’s not in the right key, but at least you can play “Funky Town” on the stones.
5 5 4 5 2 2 5 1 7 5
Blast it, I was figuring that the Secret Stone was going to round out the octave.
I’m gonna try that next time I’m in my town, lol!
I just wish, especially so in this case, that EA would give us the opportunity to sell the items we may not want but get stuck with when we, as loyalists play this game. Instead of having no other option but to store the items, which take up storage space. Which will eventually reach capacity. Please EA. I think it would make a lot of players happy and ease the pain when we encounter a update that’s not exactly our cup of tea.
Items in storage don’t count towards you item count, so no worries there.
One thing I’ve wanted for ages was an Attic or Basement in your inventory, where you can send stuff you don’t want and aren’t likely to use, so you can clear up the clutter, but they’re still there in those fusty mouse-nibbled boxes peppered with dust and dead silverfish juuuuuust in case you change your mind years later.

The statue looks good with the other pagan stuff, I am hoping it doesn’t melt after winter is over. While the task is “cute” in all but do we really need Ralph licking yet *another* object?! It would be nice to see a new visible task instead of a reused one.
My guess is that it and the others will just have puddles forming around them.
That’s what I was afraid of. It is nice to have certain items melt, like the Simpsons’s snow family, but other I wished they’d stay.
The GG statue, like the Goat Head Statue, looks like the ‘Curved Ice Sculpture’ which doesn’t melt after the snow is gone.
It’s just a game. If it offends you , skip the event. Personally I am a Christian and I like reading and exploring other traditions and beliefs old and new. Now on another note. I want a herd of reindeer. They must of been offered before I started playing.
Yup and now we’re all just trying to move past it and onto business as usual…. 🙂
I can see why Tiny Addict always has a smile – her mommy is the most wonderful (fill in the blanks). Let’s hope business as usual isn’t the same ‘ol, same ‘ol old items with different makeup on them. I started during Stonecutters; now so long ago that there isn’t much I can buy anymore. LOL
The last couple of days I’ve been feeling the old poem “Casey at the Bat” and thought of you guys dealing with this poorly orchestrated event.
~ Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in Mudville (Springfield) – mighty Casey (EA) has struck out.
Haha! Nice! Even worse, EA gets 9 strikes…
I am a little confused. People are upset with EA because they are NOT lampooning Christmas? Because all the prior Christmas events did make fun of many of the favored Christmas traditions, and the Simpsons have been poking fun at various religious traditions since its inception. This year they chose to NOT make fun of Christmas, and chose an alternate religion to mock, and I guess the Christian element is angry that they have to share the lampooning spotlight? Is that it? Weird.
It’s a little more complex than that. The initial dialogue was over the top in its inflammatory tone. However, you are correct…the game and the show have ALWAYS lampooned religion, albeit a bit more subtlety in the past. Trust me…the dialogue gets worse…at the expense of Paganism. But…it is a game. Choose to play or not. That’s pretty much the way I see it.
I want to comment that I know that many people are not happy about the Winter update BUT I do want to mention one thing that if you are a true fan of the Simpsons then you know that them and Family Guy hold nothing sacred and have for many years and people should know this also and know that EA is just following suit with the way the Simpsons look at things. I am still going to play this update because I find it interesting and a break from the norm of the Christmas Season which at times this season can get to people and people start becoming angry and intolerable and just need a break at times from the parties, the gifts, the decorations and need to think about something other than this season and this update is that break, while people are not happy with it need to see it from EA’s POV and that there is a method to their madness albeit a weird method but one nonetheless. I am going to still going to play it because I am a collector and try to collect all of the characters and outfits that I can and still waiting for Father Sean and Kumiko to return in some form.
This is probably the only task I’ll have Ralph do from now on. I love it!
*facepalm* should have read the comments more carefully. Going to Krustyland works!
Sorry 😬
Is anyone missing Patches and Poor Violet? I’ve completed every TSTO event in recent years and have all the other prizes from Christmas 2015 and yet they aren’t in my Springfield. I can buy them for 100 donuts, but I thought I already had them from last year. Very strange.
Has anyone had trouble with their “gnome in your home”. I keep getting the message that he is running around my Springfield but he’s still in his box/the gnome tracker thingy doesn’t pop up to help. Way more than 4 hours have passed…
Also I am very sad and sorry to read this update has become so divisive 😢
I pray to god that he doesnt melt in the summer. Im going to dedicate a few parcells of land to my new pagan area.
BEST.EVENT.EVER.
I love the dialog that came with this! I have a little “Ralph” of my own, poor Quimby, I feel ya buddy! 😆
Ok best way to do the singing stones is if you already placed them then store them. Take them out and put them in this order (stones) 2,3,4,5,6. Now after you have them placed play them in this order 2,5,5,6,5,4,3,3 and you’ll get a special stone. Hope this helps. You can rearrange your stones after you get it, but it made it easier for me doing it the way i said above.
How the hell did you figure that out?! Thanks though, thought I needed Homer to finish that task.
The dialogue gave a pretty strong hint, but it’s only helpful if you’re familiar with the tune.
Thank you so much for that. 😀 I would never, ever in a month of Sundays have figured that out.
I think it’s a stupid thing to put in the game but thanks to this site and to geniuses like you I don’t need to fret about it!
Actually, that’s the second line of the song, although it works, too.
The first line is, 1-4-4-5-4-3-2-2
Someone else (sorry, I forgot to make a note off who it was) posted the whole song…here it is, reposted:
1-4-4-5-4-3-2-2
2-5-5-6-5-4-3-1
1-6-6-7-6-5-4-2
1-1-2-5-3-4
This is the funniest Ralph task ever. Any other complaints aside, this makes the whole event worthwhile for me. Also, the mini-update yesterday seems to have given new land!
One of funniest things I’ve seen a long time 😆
Thanks for your post! I agree with guitarbob…this event is way underwhelming. Not much fun yah know?
Hi Alissa, (or other TSTO peeps).
Not sure where else to post this.
But, I seem to have 7 friend requests but when I click on the icon and go to my friend screen, I can’t find them there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
And wishing you a joyful season for your favourite time of the year. 🎄 😀
Now and again one of the updates will cause the Friends screen to glitch out; most likely your friend requests will become visible again after a minor update. Just keep checking back occasionally.
You could try rebooting your device. I think that worked for me one time. 🙂
I wasn’t a big fan of the decoration UNTIL I saw the decoration! Oh my gosh 😄😉😂, Hilarious EA. Sorry Ralph but it looks like you will be doing this forever
Got, placed it in my “jumble of stuff to figure out what to do with after the event is over area”. Ralph was bored licking the north pole, so this is a nice change of pace for him.
Hi Alissa (and team), I just wanted to drop you guys a note saying a big thank you and some appreciation for all you do. From reading Patrics post I understand you guys have been getting some stick and putting out flames a lot over the last few days and I am sorry for that. I loved your “cooler heads post” and I also really appreciated Patrics post ( while I agree with a lot of it and the sentiment of it I didn’t agree 100% but hey, just let it go…… great, now I have that song stuck in my head!).
I was going suggest we all set up small alters and offer up small offerings of veal to you our mighty blog goddess to show our appreciation…… BUT I realised that might not help with the current frayed nerves!,😄😳 so I will just send a big thank you to you, Patric, Bunny and Wookie for all your hard work 👏👍 (feel free to edit out the BAD joke if you think it will cause any upset / problems).
Niel
mmmm veal. 😉
LOL!! Love this! I have just started constructing my alter out of English muffins and candy canes.
Has anyone else bought the singing stones? I am stuck on it showing I have played the stones only once, even though I have played multiple times. I am wondering if this is a puzzle where we need to play in a specific order?
I have always been a freemium player, but felt with the level of…loss of humor for many, that I needed to put my money where my tapping was. I have just been laid off after 22 years and have found the game and this site to be instrumental in helping me keep my sanity. 😵
Just like you i have already laid the stones so i either need the symbol order or the shape of the stones order to know how to tap them.
If you put them in storage you can see the numbers in inventory and then use the sequence mentioned in the post below
I was the same but they way round it is to start to put the stone into storage and a message comes up saying “are you sure you want to store singing stone X” this will tell you which number they are. I then clicked on no and moved them so they were in order. If you want to work it out by clicking on the task it will tell you how far you get and reset to zero when you get one wrong which helps.
DO the singing stones offer a bonus %?
Yes, .25% each
Hey cool, the Secret Stone does, too!
2 5 5 6 5 4 3 3
If you get it, you get it.
3 6 6 7 6 5 4 2
Need help on tap the singing stones. What order do you tap them?
I don’t know if anyone else is having this problem, but my gnome will not leave his box. It will say he left, but there is no way to activate the mini game. (This happened after an ingame update last night) Is this happening to anyone else?
Go to krustyland and back it should correct it
Yay!!! My gnome was missing too- quick trip to Krustyland and he’s back. 😃
Even though this event has been underwhelming so far, Ralph’s task with this item is hilarious.
Placed it, let Ralph do his task, stored it… Merry Christmas
