Episode tie-ins are back! EA wasted no time in bringing us some new content, and this time it’s an episode tie-in for this Sunday’s upcoming “22 for 30″ episode of The Simpsons. And of course all new update (no matter how small) these days means premium content is back in our stores from events past, and often with a discounted price tag.
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

My Opinion on Her Now: 90 donuts is a lot to pay for a stand alone character. But it’s Shauna, one of the more recurring of the characters offered with this tie-in. She’s also limited-time and one of those characters a lot of you “kick yourself” for not getting. So if you’ve been wanting her now is your chance. I own her, have for years.

My Opinion on it Now: Of the three buildings offered (considered a building because it earns income) this is the only one that has a task (for Bart, 3hrs). So if you’re really itching to get one of these items this is probably your best bet from the building category. My opinion remains unchanged from last summer.

Bonus %: .5% bonus on all cash and XP (I believe this one is coded differently than the one you could craft during TapBall. This earns a bonus %, the old one does not)

My Opinion on it Now: Bonus % is accurate for donuts spent, on par with other items. If you like it and have a purpose for it grab it. But don’t just get it for the bonus %…there are far better items to get, that will do more, for a bonus %.

My Opinion on it Now: Of all of the decorations offered with 22 for 30 this is by far the worst one to get. Over priced, no bonus %. I cannot stress to you enough how much of a pass this is. PASS.

Opinion on It Now: I cannot stress to you enough how good of a deal this one is. Any building/decoration character combo that you can get for around 100 donuts is a great price. Grab this discounted combo while you can.
The Following Items will Appear in the Store IF you buy Anger Watkins. They will appear after you’ve completed Pt. 4 of his Sportscasted questline. They will completely leave the store, and not be available again on March 13th. (even if you purchase Anger Watkins after the date)

Opinion on it Now: High priced for a stand-alone building. While it’s one of my favorite buildings in my Springfield, I don’t know that I’d spend donuts on it (I originally got it for free way back in 2013). It’s a meh for me at that price point.

Opinion on It Now: If you are offered this deal, BUY IT. This is a great price…phenomenal in-fact…for a canon Simpsons Character and building. BUY IT.

I’ve spent $$$ on this a few times not to mention the hours but have just been burnt too many times when I can’t transfer to my new phone or it just disappeared, spewing really because it was AWESOME, this story makes me sad.
Bouvier is 140 with 40 back, not 45. She’s a total of 100 donuts, not 95. Bought her this morning and was surprised, but not deterred. Still a great buy.

Yayyy! I can finally get my second goal net, the other one was so lonely 😂 I think they changed the cost though, it’s showing as only 20 donuts 😊 I like these posts, it shows me what they’re offering to players who weren’t a) able to get limited items b) discount prices c) didn’t have the donuts to buy when they were originally offered 😀 I did pick up more t-ball stands… I’m thinking of setting up a little spot for the kids in the park with another net 😊 Thank you for the hard work Alissa! 😀
I did the buy-Anger-Watkins-just-to-get-MrsBouvier thing… I’m now on part 4 of the AW questline… once I get Ms.B, AW is going in storage. I don’t particularly like this one-off character, and I’ve got no good place for the desk in my design (a desk outside? Homer’s console all over again, but much less iconic).
See the comments in the first post about Anger Watkins to get some ideas of where to realistically put the desk. (“Inside” items in this game are a pet peeve of mine, but this one I was actually able to work with, once I gave it some thought.)
And, if all else fails, it’s fairly small and you should be able to hide it behind a building or something.
I haven’t been offered the Mrs. Bouvier deal? Why not??

Feeling for the players who struggle with donuts , think it’s becoming more an more donut focused with the latest events , should be more of a balance between things to buy with cash , donuts and things to earn by playing. Having to buy anger Watkins a forgettable character to get Mrs bouvier is a joke. I have donuts to spare but still begrudged buying him to get a character I wanted

T-ball stand is 30 donuts in my game, not 50.
I believe that Coach K is the last of the regular characters I have not bought, mostly because I don’t like him. The whole bully sort of vibe is just not a fun one to me. He’s never been an expensive character, just not one that I really want. The small discount is probably not going to sway me on this one.
Both the Coach and Anger are less appealing to me than the items they are paired with…I really like having the YMCA (it is now a kid’s sports complex) and the 3% bonus on a small item like the desk (which I can hide easily if I decide I don’t like it) is always attractive. The characters are not much to me in themselves, but as packages, both had value…

I want Coach K and Mrs. Bouvier but with the Anger Watkins requirement, that would eat up more than a third of my donut stash. Decisions, decisions …
Coach K is permanently available in the store and the rebate is actually less than 20% off his already resonable, usual price.
Anger Watkins and Mrs. Bouvier however are both limited items and both good deals on their own, as AW comes with a 3% bonus item (apart from outliers, you usually need to pay 15 to 20 donuts for 1% bonus) and Mrs. Bouvier has a very good rebate.

Unfortunately I do not have enough donuts yet for Mrs Bouvier. Will she leave the store the same time as the other things? There is no timer on her. Only says “limited time”.
You have 3 days to buy her from when you unlocked the ability to buy her. BUT, no matter what she’s gone monday morning, so get her by Sunday to be safe.

Been debating between Anger Watkins and Coach K. I have 240 donuts and was hoping to hold onto them until the next event.
Only plus (for me) on Anger Watkins is the 3% bonus. And the only negative I see is if I go with Coach K, I may miss out on AW, since he’s limited-time. Coach K is at a discount, and I don’t believe he ever was before.

Coach K is discounted, yes. But only 20 off. If you really want him later the extra 20 donuts still makes him a good buy
Does that work though? If drzk13 has 240 and spends 110 on AW, only 130 will remain which isn’t enough to get MB (before the rebate).

I do have her. So now it sorta comes down to who I want more. Started leaning towards AW with the bonus and limited-time character. The fact that I can do some KEM farming in the future to get Coach K, minus the discount, makes me want to hold off on him.

Bought AW to get the JB deal only to find out completing his questline requires Channel 6, which I’m a looong way from being able to get seeing as how I’m level 16… 😭

I don’t know why, but I really like Hot Squishee Stand. I got it in Christmas 2015 (for free of course) and it’s great. It reminds me Christmas (much more than 2016 pagan stuff). But 65 donuts? Overpriced. If it would be 30 donuts, I recommended it.

Kind of a weird move by EA to make some items available only if you purchase Anger Watkins. Wouldn’t they want you to spend donuts on those whether you want (and bought) him or not?
I agree. I would have bought Ms Bouvier for 95 donuts over and over again, but not for 205 donuts (the price of Anger Watkins & Ms Bouvier). Because of this, EA gets zero donuts from me.
205 donuts is a great price for 2 premium characters, a building, and a 3% decoration. You should reconsider.
That’s a really interesting move by EA to make those buildings available only after you’ve paid donuts for AW. I don’t want AW but have lingering FOMO re Mrs Bouvier (which always echoes in my brain as per Grandpa’s Graduate tribute). If I add on the cost for AW she’s not a good deal – whereas for someone who wants AW, she is. Do you think we will see more of these types of deals?
I would guess so – I got her during Thanksgiving last year with the exact same rebate, but couldn’t say if/when it will pop up again.

I got Coach Krupt, good deal. But curious that you mentioned “If you are offered this deal” for Jacqueline Bouvier, because I wasn’t. Do we know why some players are and some are not given this offer? I was hoping I would get the offer after buying Coach K, but alas it unfortunately did not.

I am pretty sure you paid donuts for the Swanky Fish. I think we got Springfield Falls for free with that episode tie in back in the day. Hard to remember with all the stuff to keep track of these days. But the Fish was the first premium stand alone building I ever purchased, and I have not regretted it. The animation of the neon sign is fun, and the 5 hr premium tasks for Skinner, Comic Book Guy, and Brockman have more than made up for the purchase for me since then. My Brockman has eaten there 3 to 4 times a day since it came out. He must be really tired of seafood!
I dunno back then I didn’t spend donuts, because I wasn’t sure my commitment level to TSTO (So why spend money on something I may stop playing in a month). And donuts weren’t offered a plenty back then, as they are now. So i maybe had 10 donuts to my name when it was offered. But then again, it’s still possible…it’s 4 years ago. Hard to remember TSTO items before Addicts
I just checked my list, and it was first offered during the episode tie in for “What Animated Woman Want” in April 2013, and it cost 90 donuts then.

What would be great is a miniature 🚂, just like at amusement parks. It could chug around Springfield like the golf cart, and have a job for Homer as Engineer…it would be even better if we could buy successive cars to attach, with jobs for other Springfielders as riders or the conductor. The story line could have Homer at the amusement park trying to prove that “anyone could run that train”, causing it to jump the tracks and leave the park…hilarity ensues.
A slow motion chase by the cops comes next…aka white bronco…

Some of my neighbors have done huge airports that look terrific…the actual runways are the black tiles and all peripheral areas are cement. For myself, I didn’t do that large of an area…if there was a way to donate, you could have my extra runway tiles😀. Oh well…
I had all my airplanes all around my Springfield. I have put them together to form a museum, just like the museum in my hometown.
And yes some extra runway tiles would be nice! MaybEA they will listen.
