We saw a great production of The Little Prince funded in part by The Nation Foundation for Autism Research. Half of the cast were kids with varying degrees of autism and the other half professional actors. The look of accomplishment and unbridled joy on their faces was beyond heart warming. Go see live theatre, there ain’t nothin’ like it!!!
I finished the Pride event today. I already miss the floating balloons randomly flying around my Springfield. I hoped they may had continued afterwards while the event was still “live” to earn ‘bonuts’ or something. It was a fun event, albeit too short. I had been a bit sidetracked lately with the Futurama game, but the Pride event had me putting New New York aside a bit while I focus back on Springfield again. Thanks EA for a fun mini-event. Though I wished they had updated the pride flags so that they weren’t flaccid by default.
What is this KEM people are referring to? And farming donuts?
Kwik-E-Mart. You buy, build, and then sell them (white having the collider running), thereby earning a bunch of XP, which helps you level up, which earns you donuts.
If you want more details than that, use this site’s Google search to find a very detailed post about it from a while back.
You get tons of ex points for building a Kwil E Mart. So the theory is you turn on the exp accelerator, buy a TON of Kwik E Marts. Then after they’re built you sell them and buy a ton more.
KEM = Kwick-Eee Mart
It is a 4 hour build and provides a high XP payout.
Buy it, build it, sell it for 25 cents for every dollar spent and still earn XP towards Bonuts.

Had a fun but exhausting day. Best part was going with my friend to the grand opening of a new Whole Foods…but we made the rookie mistake of going to lunch first.:P There were tons of sample stations everywhere! Outside the store various vendors were giving away samples of their products and then, in the store, they had way more than even the usual amount of sample stuff. Besides some really good cheese, one of the best things I tried was some guacamole with bacon in it. Now why haven’t I ever thought of that before?! I did buy a lovely baguette and, when I got home put some sliced avocado, bacon, and tomatoes on it…yummy!!! I’m also eating two macarons (one, blood orange, the other, coconut) that the store gave me and my friends for free when I commented that I couldn’t imagine spending $2 for one small cookie. Gotta admit – they’re really good! 🙂
Its probably a minor issue but last night I bought the Time Invaders Bundle on one device and I had a little quest to just tap the Dino, rats and Egyptian God in the taskbook. I left it until the morning to do it and when logged in on another device the quest did not appear in the taskbook and I didn’t see the limited time icon with the quest, my question is: when the bundle left the store, does the quest have an end date to it to leave with the bundle or is it something else? (I don’t think its a syncing issue since I still have the Dino Egyptian God and Rats in my Springfield when I went on the second device and I tried going to Krustyland and another neighbours town to see if it would trigger the quest but it didn’t.)
It’s not really a questline. You tap each of the three creatures once and the “quest” goes away. And Homer makes a comment about these creatures fitting in with all the other strange creatures in Springfield.
I left the quest open overnight and seen the icon in the taskbook before I left the game and I went back into the game in the morning and the icon was gone, I didn’t tap the invaders at all and I didn’t see the “quest complete” screen appear.
So who else is skipping this event and taking a break until after the 17th?
I see no reason to do that. It’s a super easy mini event (I’m already through the prize track) and I don’t like to miss stuff. Crosswalks, especially, are something I’ve been waiting for, and I’m super glad to have unlimited access to them, now.
Unlimited access to crosswalks? Ok, what am I missing here? I only got a couple after doing a quest.
Once you earn One Night Stans, it allows you to generate more crosswalks by paying for them and waiting for them to generate at the building.
How do you have unlimited access to them? I was super happy to get the five, but was disappointed that I couldn’t get more. Maybe I missed something?
You can generate one every twelve hours once you finish the prize track.
Why skip free buildings, characters and fun stuff?

I am as well. I totally depleted my cash reserves farming during the time travel event. This content doesn’t interest me, so I’m enjoying the break and plugging away at rebuilding reserves. Each Springfield is as unique as its designer. 🙂
Enjoy your down time…no reason to feel like you have to play an event you’re not interested in. After all, Halloween is coming…and the nights will be dark and filled with terrors😳…save those donuts👍😄.

Of course, all my Simpsons would meet ghastly demises before it ended…so, a down side😬.
Shouldn’t there be another major event between now and Halloween? Usually the THOH events don’t start before Oktober.
Big question here. I want to start upping my multiplier so I can farm more donuts, but I don’t know where to stop. What do you think, farmers? Is it more fun to just farm what you need, or be able to farm enough to get everything immediately?
I set a minimum amount that I try not to go below on both cash and donuts – everybody has their own level where they are comfortable. When I want to buy something(s) that will take me below that level, I farm till I am back at my minimum. I have a super high multiplier, so KEM farming is pretty productive, and I usually don’t have to farm more than once a week. I try to keep enough cash, that buying land won’t be an issue ( if it comes available), otherwise it goes to KEMs or Rat Trap Trucks…lately, lots of cash coming in, so Truck farming is the quickest and easiest.
I’ve been farming for a couple years now, and it’s nice to be able to get what I want, but I’m still not at the point where I can just get every single thing or rush events. There are so many premium items that it would be difficult for me to place them all, even if I could afford them. I basically farm as much as I can without devoting my life to it. (My multiplier is around 700%)
I honestly don’t even get the point of rushing events. If you have enough donuts to do that, you have enough to buy the Kirkuk stuff that helps South the event, which should give you enough of a leg up to be able to finish way early anyway. I have rushed a single task before (usually for strategic reasons), but, unless I was going to have to be away from the game for several days, I can’t imagine rushing all or most of an event.
But, yeah…i agree with pretty much everything you said….just because I CAN buy everything in an event doesn’t mean I WANT to buy everything!
I agree, I only “Rush” when my schedule prevents me from being present- and only a few donuts.
And just because I CAN buy everything, and just because I WANT everything doesn’t mean I’ll BUY everything- the Price-Value might not be there, or it just might not fit in.
I associate the ability to rush events with having way, way too many donuts 😄
When you have the Pride Crosswalks fully colored, you can tap on them and change them to an color you want like you would if you were to change a building skin like the The Simpson’s House.

I am enjoying the futurama game, wasn’t sure what to expect but it’s been alright. Much better than the family guy game, but not as good as tapped out!

I am enjoying it as well but cannot spend much time there daily as my addiction remains strong.

I’m enjoying The Lion King event. I bought Zazu.. (he’s super helpful, and I love the task where he soars above the kingdom) and I already unlocked both Timon and Pumba. Looking forward to getting Rafiki, and unlocking Simba, Nala, and Scar after battling him!

Hi everyone. Hi Mab. Sorry to neighbors for lack of play. Real life has been throwing some major punches. Back on seizure restrictions, find out tomorrow if I even have my new job since my training starts the same day as court for my son. State is trying to take full custody of him at this point, he is a danger to sisters, and his dad isn’t fit, trying to get my family to tale him on or he vecomes a ward of the state. Go back on the 28th of this month for another EEG this time sleep deprived as the MRI results showed white matter changes in my brain. Doctors aren’t sure if it’s MS, stroke, lyme disease, the seizures etc. At this point not even sure if I even will be allowed to keep working. My husband lost both his jobs And we are being evicted because his boss is also the landlord. So trying to pack, find a new place, jobs, figure my health etc. Just been a not so fun time here lately. So just wanted to say sorry for not visiting and also say hi. You guys are awesome. Happy Sunday I’m off to go pack some more.

Happy tapping, finished the mini event, what’s next, and hints from EA?
I’ve found and excavation site glitch that might bother a few people. After finding the gem stone after a dig I was rewarded with a Homer statue (Homer holding sword up in the air) and was told that it would be placed in my inventory. It’s not there. I already have one of these statues out in my town. I have a feeling that there can only be one of these statues in any given town, and the code writers failed to notice the rule when they decided to start using this statue as a possible reward at the dig site. Has anyone else noticed this glitch?
I’m not inclined to contact EA, because I don’t want to go through the hassle.

Makes sense – I was also wondering where it got to after the game told me it was place in my inventory. Lost a lot of time searching for it…

I would like simple white crosswalks also.
After they are maxxed out (with colors), you can choose how you want them to look…kinda like skins for a character…you can choose all white or not.
Once you have unlocked all the colors for a crosswalk, you’ll be able to revert it back to all white.
I just got a notice that I have more than 7100 items and it could create a problem. Do stored items count? I keep using the track pieces I am earning do they count as well? If so how do I get rid of the surplus? What do I do???
Actual cutoff is 10K items…if your game is ok, don’t worry about it.

So is The Vault here to stay in the store? I didn’t see any timer on it. I like the opportunity to get older content at a rebate. I read that some people went into the game fIles and found an unreleased icon that would send all characters on their visual tasks. Also a similar icon was found in which you could clear all tasks in one shot. If EA put that into the game I would be happy. Happy Tapping everyone.

Got it up to around 865 % from around 750 % so far. Going to try (with a bit of luck) for 900 %.

Hi MAB! Happy Sunday all!! Nice mini event. Like the content. Adds a lil more sunshine and happiness to our lil Springfields.
I’m having a little fun redecorating my town, storing things and excavating. I am loving all the different prizes for finding the treasure! I’m glad they decided to keep that treasure hunting going.
Me too! I’ve dug up barrels, rocks, broken washing machines and dryers and a couple of bits of castle. Have you found anything else (more?) exciting?
I mainly I found rocks, barrels and stonecutter walls, broken washers and dryers, and castle walls, with the occasional castle tower and gate. The most exciting things were a pile of gold (like one of the pirate prizes) and a Barbarian-Homer-Statue, but unfortunately that’s unique, so I got bubkes instead…
I hope they change out the prizes every week (like the vault), tho, cuz there’s only so many crappy washers and dryers a person can use😆.
After getting a few of these and those, I lost interest in it already. What, after one week? Like our other mini games I lost track of, is there any one of them that is worth the time? Perhaps there is one I should look at again?
The only other one I continue with is the Yellow Submersible…but then, I’m always adding to my Squidport and my tiles maxxed out long ago.
I’ve spent time redecorating my town over the past few days, and it’s great to see pride back in Springfield! And like mikeymoore241 said, loving that we can make more pride crosswalks! 😀 Might get Julio tomorrow when I next make a donut purchase. Anyways, happy Sunday everyone!! 🙂

Soooooooooo fragile today but this time it is totally self-induced… 😟 (Note to self: you are not 25 anymore…) 😄 The National Arts festival finished today (saw some great art!) so last night I went out with two very good friends who I hadn’t seen for too long! One was here giving a talk about gin (which included a tasting – delicious!) and her husband came for the last few days. The three of us used to work together in the pub that his family started and we decided to have a little night out… Started at the pub and after a couple of other stops ended up at the nightclub partly owned by his almost 70 year old mother 😂😂😂 Had a blast but paying the price today – fortunately some more sweet and sour pork saved my life this morning so I’ll probably survive!
…and still the rain stays away…. Completely overcast right now but only a 4% chance of rain. So I’m doing my rain dance but not holding my breath! Had some unseasonable hot weather the last 3 days (28/29°C – 82/84°F) but it will be chilly (cold!) for the rest of the week (14°C/57°F) with a supposed 25% chance of rain on Friday. Wait and see time… 😞
Finished Pride and Prejudices this afternoon so now completing the quest lines for the new characters and for my vault acquisitions. Guess I also need to do some designing/rearranging….
Busy watching cricket (SA v England). It’s been an interesting match but it’s going to be very, very (very, very, very) hard to even scrape a draw out of this as we are already 25/3 and still need 306 runs to win. Maybe it will be rained out tomorrow…? 😄 Looking forward to the 2nd week of Wimbledon this week – go Roger!!! 😄😄😄

Hi MAB…take it easy and if all else fails, tomato juice is a good cure. Glad you had some fun last week…too hot here to do much of anything outdoors – 95 F (35 C) – with over 80% humidity. ☀️💦☀️
Got 2.5 inches of rain (with a tremendous amount of lightning and hail) in one hour last night…I’ve never seen it rain so hard since we moved here ☔️💨⚡️, and that includes the hurricane last year. Sooo, the drought isn’t really an issue here anymore…wish I could send some your way.
My sis is watching Wimbledon 🎾 non-stop this week…too hot for her to play, so she gets her fix from the TV. I hear a yell every once in a while, when someone makes a really good shot, so I guess she’s enjoying it. She’s a fan of Roger also, so she’s pretty happy so far.

Over the weekend I was still enjoying my seaside vacation, with ideal weather for my taste – sunny with mild temperatures and a slight breeze. No partying though, I am way beyond 25 as well. But then again, even at 25 I wasn’t really a party-person.
Well done EA for releasing the Pride mini event to coincide with London’s Pride events.

So true. Not always about us Canamericans, eh? 😉 The coloured crosswalks are beautiful and fun. I’ve managed to pick up the billboard, the She She Lounge and League Of… but very donut poor and working my way to Harry Shearers still. I should be able to get everything before the end of the event though. I guess our little bonus competition has officially fallen by the wayside, but some of these new items continue to bump it up nicely. Event wise, I’m quite behind – will only get Grady today, but I just haven’t been glued to the game lately. Too busy enjoying those sunrises during our chats, I suppose. xx

you and i both fam. really appreciate the addition of all the street/urban decorations lately. crosswalks will go well with stuff from the secret agent event, like bus stops, atms, mailboxes, etc. but like those, i’ll have to be judicious about how i use them, and how often… item count could easily spiral out of control. #virtualworldproblems
I love all this stuff too, but man, I really want picnic tables for my campsites and people’s backyards!

And large swings…wooden type with A-frame supports…for parks and back yards. It’s not really home without a yard swing😊.
What’s wrong with the swings that they have? My only problem with them is that none of the kids use them, they way Rod and Todd use the seesaw.
Playground equipment is something I feel like we’ve gotten plenty of, in various styles.

The mailboxes and bus stops were good ones to have crafted spares of. Wish I’d done more of the benches but there is always something mate.
I was hoping there would be a way to continue making the crosswalks after the first five, but so far it hasn’t presented itself and I cannot find a way to purchase more either. How can you keep making them? I’ve only been able to create five them so far.

It costs you $20,000 each time.
I plan on having them everywhere!
Rats. The final prize, Stan’s, yields Rainbow Crosswalks every 12 hours at a cost of $20,000. And then every 4 hours it can be upgraded a notch.

I’m glad for a way to get more crosswalks. Little expensive, sure, but I’ll take it.
