Wow! Can I just say it again…WOW!!!
I have to say…if the first few hours are any indication, this may very well be the BEST CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY/Religious/Non-Religious Update EVER! It has something for everyone!! I can’t tell you everything we know…but, I pretty much have to say, I think they listened to our huge (and overblown) debate about Christmas/Pagan etc. last year, and Busted It All Wide Open! Simply laughing…and laughing…and laughing at the dialogue.
And yes…while there are a handful of duplicate/redundant or re-purposed items in the Crafting Store (aka Jesus’ Carpentry Shop), the very fact that these items are supposed to be handmade by the Son of God (or perhaps a Cuban baseball player) makes them pretty darn special!
But, as always…you are going to Want It All! So…let’s take a look at how many Batteries 
you need to earn to Get It ALL!
I begin by pointing out, what has already been whined about in other posts… that what seems to be missing, is a simple “Zap Them All” tool that allows you to clear the Robo-Funzos with one tap every 4 hours. But, before you go ballistic…
Let’s remember this little exchange…
That’s right…ZAPPING isn’t Jesus’ thing. However, there is a way to find the little gray buggers in your town EAsily…
REMEMBER…if you tap the icon, and you don’t see the Robo-Funzo…tap the very middle of your screen, and he will likely do his “I see you!” garble…and give you your reward.

Is anyone else having a glitch with their Christmas Monorail ??? Oo.
I’m really pleased with this event, lots of Christmassy fun and no grinding. Lots of great items to craft a little Christmas corner. Really liking the Christmas bazaar selection too. A very happy addict!! Now back to KEM farming to get the manger!!!
The manger comes with a fully playable new Rigellian character…worth getting just for him.😁
after 8 hours jobs I don’t know what is next. game doesn’t give me any task to do. just nothing for event. have won one box (from guarding house) and now what? i have cca 1600 event points. help please
I finished my eight-hour tasks as well, and my open task in the taskbar is “Place Rigellian Construction Site,” which is the sixth prize. So basically, I feel like my task is to tap tap tap those Funzos until I get the sixth prize! Do you have that in your taskbar?

Well…it is interesting…and the bonus is great. But placing 200+ fences??? Yikes. You really have to love fences.
I do like a good Fence! 😂 I find it really annoying when trying to fence an area and I run out of that style – pink fancy fence I’m looking at you!

GLITCH? SPENT 35 donuts on the North Pole Monorail extension pieces, BUT the requirement to add another 7 sections of track to the station has me defeated. Have tried moving the station and extending the monorail (massively) but still stuck – any suggestions?
You have to move the station down one square. The tracks aren’t lined up
Or just leave them…they will get fixed. Mine doesn’t line up (my old one was altered by the update), but the monorail runs as if it is lined up correctly.
It is so nice to have a relaxed major event especially at this time of the year. No stress of must play on the 4 hour mark to complete. Can have a more sociable Xma without any drunken tapping. (Drunken tapping can be very bad for the inhabitants of springfield and cause additional headaches that aren’t needed the next day) 😉
I am so pleased that I don’t have to log on every 4 hours to send countless characters on tasks as has been the case for a while now. It really feels like the pressure is off. I’ve not made my mind up how good the event is… it’s only the first full day. Another plus is its only 2 acts and not 3 and we’ll not still be doing Christmas in the middle of January so if we do get a bit bored it won’t be for as long. My only criticism so far is when I won the first free land token I was gutted we hadn’t got a new strip of land… maybe that’ll come in Act 2
Wow we have some Negative Nancy’s over here!! I rEAlly appreciate some amazing items, changes and additions with this event that show that clEArly EA have been listening to us throughout the year:
* Two acts – perfect 4 week length!!
* More new items for crafting
* Better Dialogue – it’s hilarious!!
This event feels perfect in style and content – we’ve got SO MUCH content that I mentioned in my post and tappers across the year and mentioned. Don’t want to post many spoilers but look out for a Jolly Man in Red and more anticipated content.
As far as Christmas event goes, this is a laid back (yet enough to do!), warm and cosy, greatly written and fun event that I rEAlly appreciate 😊.
Find it boring? Stop playing because this is as fun as it’s going to get!

Is it possible that your enjoyment of this event is due to information that you have that most of us don’t?
This event seems very similar to recent events to me. Crafting, meaningless neighbbor interactions, and a game-within-game that is identical to two previous game within games (polyvac and secret agent thing).
I’m not saying it is bad. But it certainly isn’t what I was hoping for….community prizes, dropping off presents, the end of crafting, my neighbors knowing that I visited them, a new way to earn event currency (other than tapping little creatures running around town).
Nope… it has all of the elements that I asked for. SHORT. A different set of playable concepts (the game)…it isn’t brain dead easy…and the dialogue is absolutely hilarious. Add to this, that the balance of items are new, and not just retreads, and you have a great update. Then…there is the secret satisfaction that every nuance of last year’s “Pagan debate” has been appeased. What’s not to like?
I also see redecorated items from years past & a retread on games.
The only time hack you need to pay attention to is what is the re-spawn rate of Robo-Fuzo & max numbers in town. (How often do I need to visit to maximize Fuzo harvesting ?)
I have free land tokens but there is no land to buy. What’s going on?
I’m enjoying this event. I’m not forced to log in every 4 hours and put people away (and off recycling where I can earn bonuts) without fear of missing the final prize (I log in every 4 hours anyway on average throughout the day, but it’s nice not having to). The premium items have me foaming at the mouth, and that’s a bad thing. I just got done Black Friday shopping :O.
I love the lack of seriousness here and the quest line has made me laugh several times. Keep it up EA. Probably the best event, so far, of this year, even if the quest line is a bit short.
Never ending Update Downloads
Is anyone else experiencing this? For the past month, almost anytime I open the game I have to redownload the entire thing, verify my age, and re-login with my email and password.
I’ve been playing this game for several years now and never seen it this bad. I will sometime have to redownload the game within five minutes of the last download.
I’ve contacted EA and they said they are aware of the problem, apologized for the inconvenience and added some donuts to the account.
I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app several times to try and fix the issue, but it hasn’t helped.
I’m playing on an iPhone 6 with the latest iOS and over one GB of free space. Has anyone found a way to avoid the constant redownloading of these “updates”
I just emptied out my phone of my pictures and made 6G of free space cuz this same thing happened to me for months, now my phone isn’t doing it anymore =^-^=
Happy to hear I’m not alone with this issue. It’s happening to me every time I open the app. It’s annoying cause it takes forever to update.
I’ve had this happen when my storage is close to full on my iPhone or when my iPhone is not up to date. Hope this helps, it’s so annoying!
Free space doesn’t seem to be the issue for me. I have 2.5 GB of free space. I’ve been trying to find a common denominator for why it happens, but it is so random. The fact that the app needs to be open in order for it to download is especially annoying. More than once I have had to close the app mid-download only to come back to it a few minutes later to find that I have to start the process all over again. It’s very annoying and the fact that EA is aware of it and has not bee able to correct it in over a month and a half now if really absurd.
Thanks for the calendar Patric, good info and the “find funzo” button is great. Football question, with Taggert bailing for FSU after one season, who does Oregon get. Why did Taggert even leave, seems like a Lane Kiffen deal at Tenn.
Has anybody added the extra pieces to the holiday monorail? It says you must add 7 more tracks for the train to run, but I can’t get it to go? Any one having the same issue?
It has to be spaced one tiny square off track to work. Looks terrible mis-aligned but at least the train starts and you don’t get the pop up message anymore.
Do you have the North Pole Station? When I looked at mine I noticed that suddenly the track did’t line up. Although I hadn’t touched it, I moved it the one space to align the track. Then I tried to ride the monorail and got that 7 more track message. So I moved the station back to it being off one space and the train started running again. And the funny thing was that when it got back to the station it continued through even though the track was not aligned. New bug probably caused by the update.
The skin on the station is corrupted, the track now needs to line up one block off of the track in the station skin shows it. Probably something they will fix eventually but if you move your station on block over the track won’t line up to it but the monorail will run again 🙂

For me, the lack of 4 hour tasks is great because I dont have to do event stuff strictly every 4 hours, 4-5 times a day (alongside KEM farming too). It’s more relaxed
Same thing happen to me. I was excited to get the extra pieces to put in the little station, but now the monorail doesn’t work on that station 🙁
Not sure what all the complaints are about, I’m definitely enjoying this event so far. Plenty to do, helps bring you right to the Funzos instead of searching for them endlessly, and an assortment of legitimately interesting characters and costumes to get.
It would be nice if there was a giant Funzo prize.

I am loving this event!!! I haven’t played the last few events that have come out, but was excited for the Christmas event! I can’t wait to see all the fin prizes and crafting in other’s towns… so I can get an idea of what to do with mine.
Oh my. If the event keeps them busy and people sweat to ensure the prices people complain. Now they got something nice and relaxed so they can decorate the house and make some cookies they complain it’s to soft.

Some people are just so used to complaining when they get what they’ve been asking for they don’t know how to react. So they focus on the other stuff they didn’t get that they asked for. It’s like asking Santa for a million things and a Pony. You get everything you asked for but the Pony, and you complain you didn’t get the pony.
Not getting very many funzos so not sure if it’s my game or a glitch. What is the most funzos one can get if they can only play every four hrs and will they make all the prizes?
They spawn every 18 minutes, so in 6hrs you’re full at 20.
Personally I’m loving this event. It’s less grindy, and it’s got a bit of something for everyone. 😎
Only got the update this morning, on Amazon tab, and about 1000 behind the calendar, but a great event so far and confident I can catch up
Can anyone confirm the maximum numbers of Funzos that will spawn in your town before none more will appear, until they are cleared? At least with the four hour collect, you knew exactly how long you needed to wait to max the collection pool.
I look at the post comments from people who provide hints, tricks, how to achieve the goal faster, easy resolutions, and remodeling ideas. I have been a long time player and the event is good.
Now recently i see more and more complaining such as: O i dont this event, it is boring, and worst event ever. I say it in general if you dont like it stop playing the event or wait for the next one or find a new game. The blog is starting to look like facebook with all the complaining.
I too am bored with this I feel like I’m earning nothing I have played since day one and I have pretty much all those crafting prizes already. I don’t mind that but I do mind get like ten funzios and that’s it I have not been able to play the mini game all day I’m confused I love this game and I never complain but I’m slightly disappointed! Hope they fix this I like to play every four hours.
There are 17 crafting prizes…of that 17 10 are BRAND NEW. So you don’t have pretty much all of them already, you have 7. 7 of 17 is not a majority….

I might not have realised that tapping the robot funzo icon took you to a robot funzo. And had I not realised that, I definitely wouldn’t admit it on a Tapped Out blog read all over the world. Definitely not.

Patric, I feel like you have also been writing posts about how to get currency (in this case, batteries). Will you be doing that? I’ve done some preliminary calculations based on earning currency through the quest line, tapping funds, playing the wrap attack and visiting friends, and it comes in pretty tight for me. Are there other ways to get currency without buying premium items (like the skins for Lisa and Bart, the Rigellian North Pole or the wrapping paper bundles)? Sorry if I seem impatient. Just wondering if you’ll be covering this. 🙂
Oh, yeah–you can also get currency from the daily challenges. That makes me feel like I have a little more of a cushion. 🙂

At first, I thought I must be missing some four-hour tasks to generate currency, but when I realized I wasn’t, I actually breathed a sigh of relief. One less thing to be stressed about during the holidays!
Short answer, Patty…if you log on every 4 hours, and clear all of the RoboFunzos you can find (one every 18 minutes) you will be fine. The rest just sort of happens!
Well, that’s what I normally do, but I was a bit concerned because there’s only one way to get currency, where normally there are a bunch. And then I did some Funzo math and came up short. In reviewing my math to explain to you what I did, I found the folly in my math and realized that just tapping Funzos and doing wrap attacks from those taps would give me enough batteries. Adding friend visits, the quest line and daily challenges gives me the buffer I need not to freak out. 🙂 (I still look forward to your post, because I’m sure you’ll have something in there I haven’t thought of!) <3
I agree with Matt W this is boring! There’s nothing to do, at least make 4hr task to earn what you need there’s no way to keep up with daily goals to stay on track
Every time you log into the game there’s something to do. Squash 15 Funzos and you can play the Re-gifting game, where you earn prize currency.
Here’s an observation. Because last year’s Christmas was so bad and we had more than a few clunker events since then, people have gotten into the habit of only criticizing and complaining. I’ve played for over 5 years and think that this event is pretty great so far.

I’ll have been playing 3 years on December 26 and I’m LOVING this so far. Fun, funny dialogue. New stuff to craft, things I actually really want in the store – pulled the trigger on the Bart and Lisa elf skins without a SIB because the more Christmas the better, really, and they go well with my Santa Homer acquisition from last year. Other stuff I’m waiting to see if they’re worth it but there’s time. No rush or anything. We’re all swamped this time of year. Got the second prize this morning so I’m more or less in line with the calendar (I’m away from my game most of the day today, babysitting my twin nieces who are 1 and grabby). This looks like it’s going to be great so far.

How do you shoot out Funzos? Each time I have enough event currency I tap on the cannon and it takes me to The Simpsons House mini game?

Certainly seen nothing yet. Thought the zapper gun thingy was going to be fun but in reality it is nothing new.
Let’s hope there is a bit more to this event than we have at the moment.

So…is anyone else bored already? I finished the task line already until I unlock the Rigellian Construction site which is the second to last prize. I log in every couple hours and tap funzos and play the mini-game and thats it? No extra holiday tasks for characters to do to earn more currency?
