I dunno what FOX is thinking, but STILL no new Simpsons this week! It was supposed to come back Sunday, but I guess they think OJ is a more important Simpson….I don’t. They should be back next week & we should have a fun episode tie-in to go along with it. So stay tuned next week for info on that!

I previously took advantage of the glitch and created a hole in the mountains between Springfield and SH. It is there that I place my Canada crossing.

There was a glitch way back when. Some people took advantage, but be aware that the glitch could close up at any time.
i spent the 70 donuts on the box and got wishing well =/

Hi everybody! Happy Sunday!
I would be enjoying this a lot more if I hadn’t snagged a glitch over the weekend which caused my character select button to not work and my tap radius is minimal (along with a few other things) which makes for a frustrating playing experience. Waiting on EA to fix.
Same bug. Contacted EA. Tech support had no idea how to fix it. Anyone with this bug go find a solution?
You will want to contact EA ASAP to do a game rollback – will lose some progress, but your game will be fixed. Hopefully EA will come up with a long-term fix for this bug soon…
I have had this happen a couple of times. Sometimes it has resolved on its own in several hours. Others a full close and restart has fixed it. (IRS radius/job collection radius – also had issues with tapping ruffians being counted)
I am in the same position.
Contacted EA support by email, followed instructions and no joy. I even tried the game on an Apple device instead of Android still no joy.
Phoned them today and was given a link – it gives an error message.
Have emailed them back – I am not holding my breath!
Does anyone know if the ruffians in the three pack have tasks?
No, they are NPC (Non Playable Characters) without tasks.

Had some more rain this week so my rain dance continues to be effective but whether I’ve managed to get it to fall in the right catchment areas remains to be seen… 😄 Hope all those who had masses of snow are coping ok. We are having weird weather having been down to 11 or 12°C but are heading for 35° and then back down to 14° this week. Guess I have no choice but to sit back and enjoy the roller coaster 😄
Not much happening down south this week. The unpacking continues slowly – put a number of boxes into storage this weekend so I am making progress but it never goes as fast I would like. Also been trying to keep up with my sporting commitments at the same time – I still find it confusing to have rugby and cricket happening at the same time as growing up we only played cricket in summer and rugby in winter and in TV there was always a break when the one ended before the other began. Currently we are playing Australia in a cricket test series (lost the first test to them but this one is going better – so far!) and also watching 7s rugby from Vancouver (go Blitzbokke!!) and the Super rugby tournament against teams from SA, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina and Japan (go Sharks!!). Makes for a busy weekend 😄
Mini event going according to the normal schedule despite my delay in being able to download it and get started. Will probably finish it tomorrow and then have a bit of down time before whatever comes next. Who knows, maybe I will actually get some designing down during the course of the next week or two but no promises! 😊 Also managed to visit all my neighbours today for the first time in ages! Haven’t done it for a long time because if it doesn’t give any benefit to my nieghbours during an event I seldom do it because I can finish comfortably without it… Would love some new Neighbour prizes or event interaction because then I would definitely do it more. For now going to aim for visiting at least twice a week 😊

Hope you get a great rain during the week; here we also are having some crazy weather, on Saturday was around 30’s and Sunday with low 20’s cloudy and fresh, this week we are specting to reach 35 by Saturday.
Born and grow up in the border with the USA, I used to watch the NFL and MLB, my time living in Australia I started watching rugby and cricket, I didnt understand cricket at all 🙁

Regarding neighbour visits: I am really bad at that pretty much all the time, but in exchange, I also don’t really care if my neighbours visit me. The benefits are normally not worth the effort. And nobody has been expelled yet for not visiting. That being said, I do like to look at other people’s Springfields, but I also like to take my time doing it. Meaning, I manage a handful of neighbours a day, but definitely not all of them every day.

I need more land. I don’t know why this should be an issue. I earn and I also buy donuts to buy the different buildings/people/whatever that comes up and interests me. However, I have no place to put everything because I don’t have enough land.
Now, really stupidly, there is more land but you have to earn a free land token to be able to open it. Despite the fact that I have a lot of Springfield money to buy the land token, they have now changed it to get a land token.
Why should I spend any more real cash to get buildings, etc. when I can’t place it. I don’t have any land that’s wasted or could be better laid out or unnecessarily cluttered. It’s really frustrating. The one issue that should not be, is land/space.
Have Vesuvius Pizza in your town? Love erupting volcanoes? Yup I do too. But 2 hour jobs??? No way! Send the under used Wise Guy on a job to serve food and you have 24 hours of Vesuvius Pizza lava glory! Here’s the catch: he has to be near it to work, his serve food challenge works in many other food joints but none are more fun…apologies if the Fab four already covered this…Happy Sunday!

We’re still digging out from two feet of snow, and more is on the way tomorrow here in the NY/NJ metro area. It’s hard to believe this is March… with spring just a few days away. I’ve decided that since I took early retirement, I might as well fit the profile and learn golf. For those of you who are golfers, I bow down to you. It’s not an easy game. I’ve been taking private lessons all winter (in an indoor facility) and will hopefully be able to go out on the golf course (with my instructor) in a month or so when it thaws out here. I never thought I would be a golfer, and still may not be.. they tell me getting started is the hardest part. And yes, it’s hard! It’s such a different sport than I’m used to. For years I competed in judo.. but after three knee surgeries, it was time to look for something more forgiving on my body. I’m hoping golf will be it.
Hope you get out from under the snow and good luck with your golf lessons. I think walking and hiking are more my game.

I have friends who are absolute golf addicts, and I want to find out what I’m missing. At least the clothes are cool. I’m going to give it my all to see if I can get to like the game too. So far, I hate it! 😄 Snow is starting to melt, but the weather forecasters are saying two to four more inches on Tuesday. What part of the country do you live in, Carie?
I am fortunate to live in the Pacific Northwest, we have a mild climate here, and the Moutains have snow but not in Seattle where I live. Was a lovely Sunday here today. Lots of hiking options here.

Here is my wish list…….
1) The ability to take any creation design and group it a set (i.e. treated as a single object when moving or storing). I could then move that whole creation as one object if I was rearranging my city. I could also be able store any creation as a set. For example if I make the perfect Christmas village then I could store it as a set and place my entire Christmas Village already created in my town as I stored it the year before as my starting point every year.
Then if I could also store all my holiday creations as sets it would be easy to have one area for the current holiday and always swap out my Valentines Day park / Easter Park / Christmas Village / Halloween Town / w my regular city center park throughout the year.
2) in storage be able to make my own two levels of folders and sub folders. I would love to make a storage folder called Holidays, and then under that have a folder for my Easter, Valentines Day, St Patrick’s Day, Christmas, etc…..
3) Show all XP bonus that I have, including my hidden XP bonus from my SH. So I don’t have to manually figure out my hidden XP bonus from building my SH.
4) Have the Employment Office Job assignments
— automatically choose the highest paying (premium) jobs for the task hour selected for each character
— starting at 1 hr then have EVERY hour available to choose…sometimes I was to assign mass assign 2 or 6 or 10 hr tasks
— The ability to set it to prioritize inside or outside tasks
— have the ability to choose all crafting tasks. So with one tap all SH or railroad crafting tasks are assigned where possible
5) Ability to place
— stop signs on the sidewalk
— all water items be placed on either Ocean / Lakes / Rivers / Ponds
— vehicles on the roads
6) Ability to zoom out completely (or at least 2x as far as we can now) which would make it possible to do a single screenshot for designs without stitching multiple screenshots
7) Bonus %…..if not able to get Bonus % of stored items then at least any item with a Bonus % that is currently stored in inventory, then there is a little symbol or star or highlight that visually shows at a glance it has a Bonus %.

A comment re skinned vs new buildings…. I agree, I prefer new buildings, but wanna be cautious of saying “no skins”. If ea wanna do something with an existing building: I prefer a skinned version. It irks me when I have multiple of the “same bldg” that I gotta find a suitable place for (thinking multiple simpsons houses, extra burns mansion from last event, KEM, lard doughnuts, and all the friggin rigellian spaceships, etc,etc). So if I whinge about skins, pls don’t replace bldgs with extra versions of the same thing. rather; new buildings, new characters, new decorations.
*new* far preferred over skins. “Skin” preferred over more versions of existing.
What bugged me most of last event (other than the 6 week being too long thing, which most of us complained about) is: the useless buildings that have a massive footprint. We got at least 3, yes THREE pointless buildings with a large footprint. I don’t wanna “put stuff in storage”, I wanna *build* my Springfield. I want to put things out there that remind me of events, that say “I was there”, that remind me of that time when I stumble upon them while clearing my town, that show I’ve played and progressed over the years I’ve put into this game. Storage defeats the purpose.
Cranky: I visited your town to see all the extra land you claimed to have…. yes, I see you got loads, I don’t! You have more decorations than me, but I guess my stuff a little more spread out. Not the extent of “avenues” Safi spoke about yesterday. And not overly wasteful of space, but I got less than you and and yet don’t have much space left. I was drawn to this game as a city builder with a fun quest line. Making me scrunch stuff up takes the fun out of that. (And the limits on decos don’t help when you want to build a town)
That said, no matter how much I or others wanna complain about the last few events… it still was WAY better than the infamous Easter event 😉
When you store a building that is connected to a character, I’d love the options/to be asked, “Would you also like to store [character]?” There are many buildings that I keep out just for the character – some with ridiculous footprints.
Just a note to Superbeast…I shamelessly “borrowed” your design for Burn’s Water Mansion…changed a couple things, but wanted to thank you for such a great inspiration. The island 🏝 is the nicest thing in my town now 😄.

It looks like a water tile and not the ocean. You can create water areas on land.
Make a lake with water tiles and then remove them where you want the land to form an island😊. (You can’t do it on the ocean, only boardwalk tiles will place there.)

Well… my Springfield did something crazy after I leveled up to level 125…. it went back to the settings of February 2016 whwn we had thw daily login to get mystery boxes!! I even now have a task for Pie Man (Homer)!!! ..Unless I’m missing something here, I don’t know what the heck happened, but I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I have contacted EA. Haven’t heard back from them, but I just hope things can get BACK to normal!!! Anybody else had this happen to them? 😕😞
Make sure that you logout of the game first ( Marsadies your character name ) .
Then try uninstalling the app from the App Store this might give you a new program and help the situation good luck .

Yes. Exactly the same unfortunately. I’m long past contacting EA as they’ve been useless in past. IRS radius reset and no access to mystery box. Uninstalling has had no effect.
The only fix is to get a rollback to before the problem started. You may lose progress. It may recur and you have to do another rollback. You may have to call many times. Be persistent and polite.

I’ve got the same problem. Also, the clicking on the faces in the upper left does not jump to the character anymore.
Something similar just happend in to my game in january this year. I tried even installing and logging in to a clean device, but still got connected to a pre-christmas-removal-state of my springfield.
The only thing that worked was logging in with another device that I use sometimes, which luckily somehow overwote the bad state.
That cost me some progress and made it harder to get the politics-mini-event fi
