Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is gearing up for a nice weekend ahead, I know I am! A little r&r never hurt anyone, right?
Anyway, seeing LOADS of conflicting comments over the latest event to hit TSTO. Some of you love it, some of you hate it and some of you are so pissed you’re quitting TSTO altogether.
Now, I know often times the most vocal about something are the ones who aren’t happy with it. And those who are happy are generally the ones who stay silent. So I thought why not do a little poll. This way no one has to know who’s saying what, and we can get a feel for what the community in general thinks. So please take a minute to answer the poll questions below…
Thanks!
And one more…

First, I loved my Krustyland but didn’t go there unless I had it as a daily task. Wish they had expanded that area. Second, I’m really not feeling the new itchy scratchy event. I don’t care for any of the items we have to craft. I don’t like the race track or the roller coaster OR the big orange itchy and scratchy thing. PLUS, I really HATE that there is a cap on decorations and buildings. I had to take out my Christmas village, my a China area, and my Japan area to add my Krustyland in to Springfield. I LOVE having it in Springfield but at what a cost. AND now I won’t be able to add anything else to the game.
Now addressing the town limit. I used to always get the nasty-grams saying I was over my limit but was able to still add decorations to make a beautiful Springfield. Then yesterday I got a nasty-gram and said the limit was 11,500. I had 11,554. I had to take stuff out to finish an area in the new Krustyland. They must have been looking at my game because they upped the limit to 11,600. Well, that still doesn’t fix the problem for me. I’m at the limit NOW and can’t add anything else to the game with the new event. I’ll either have to just tear apart my beautiful game to add more of their junk in from the event OR I’ll just have to stop playing the game all together. I hate that idea because I’ve been playing since October of 2012.
Also, while I’m on a rant … GIVE US A BREAK! We NEED time to recharge after an event! At least 3 to 4 weeks! The events are TOO LONG. We get GAME FATIGUE.
Wish the programmers would get it together.
I agree 100% on needing a break between events. It was nice to have down time before to complete regular game levels and arrange decorations/buildings/event stuff as you acquire enough in-game cash to buy land and expand your town. Now it’s one event after another, whether large or mini. It was nice being able to leave the iPad at home for a couple of weeks instead of having to bring it to work everyday to tap every 4 hours during an event (3 hrs for mini events) or at least during the lunch break. It will also make the events more enjoyable to play when you space them out more. There’s no excitement for a new one anymore because it seems like now that’s all this game is…events, events, events. It doesn’t seem to be about rebuilding Springfield anymore like the description says. It’s all about event play now.
I totally agree. When Alissa & team do the annual event poll,,I cannot remember all the events throughout the year. I have completely forgotten them. I liked when the characters had little side quests to keep something happening,,but back-to-back events are taking some of the fun out of it. I think there’s been a decline in the best events -Halloween & Christmas-(IMO) probably because they aren’t devoting enough time to the development. Too much quantity is affecting the quality.
I’m not sure if I read the message right but I thought after the nuke all my stuff would be in storage….am i out of luck on lossing all my stuff and you can’t buy the rides in the store. I was in contact with ea and they have asked for a list, I wrote it in a email, now they say to use the live chat. Is that easy to resolve doing so?
I was just on the phone with ea and they needed a more detailed list on the rides because the data is showing I never had all 15 building in my krustylast. I never spent my donuts on anything in krustyland so it would have been the common building through out the last 4 years
I used to frequent Krustyland regularly when free donuts were hard to come by. I would clear my Springfield then pop into K-Land in hopes that I might get the 5 donut bonus from sideshow you. Now that free donuts are a regular part of the game my visits to K-Land were far and few between. I had the thought of moving it to Springfield proper a while ago. I feel the space above Springfield Heights would have been a good spot. I’m on board with EA (for once) with the move of K-Land to Springfield. I am also happy with all the new land they made available; however, it would have been nice if they increased the land next to the Heights. I also hope that EA starts to devise a way to earn more land tokens, other than earning a few as event rewards. Perhaps as a reward from daily challenges. The biggest challenge I’m facing right now with the changes EA have made are figuring out where all this stuff is gonna go. I am now finding myself in the midst of a huge remodel, all while trying to grind through the event. There is just not enough time in the day.
All my thoughts summed up,,, I decided to move the Heights to the new section,,cleared the whole area for a resort/theme park. Hoping the park visitors will gravitate to that area. Since I live in Central California,,we have to go over mountains to get to all the theme parks,,,so anyways,,good post!!
Made the mistake of spending all my new land tokens before I was settled on where Krusty/itchy and scratchy land were going. So I’m working with some space limitations while building my parks but making the most of it.
Flip side though is I got a ton of open land next to my spooky forest for whatever tree house of horrors brings this year
Can’t vote on question one as I cannot play the event until EA forces the nuke on Monday. In the waiting game like other iOS players. But I think creating the two theme parks will be fun and hopefully not as slow as others have reported.
I made the mistake of assuming KL would be on the way out and cashed in my tickets for cash 2 days before the event hit. So when it hit and you guys said to buy land… I was up the proverbial without a Paddle. Could have bought every darn square in the entire place, but had a premonition that it was heading out so didn’t bother, but didn’t want my 100,000± tickets to go to waste. I’ll regret that move for a while.
Having said that, I’m bug free *knock on wood* and enjoying it. Wish the tappables were easier to find, I hate it when there is no easy way of finding them.
The easiest way is on the craftable option where it says how much you need to level up,,as long as you are under the limit,,when you tap it it’ll say you need __ tickets get more tap the get more & it’ll take you to the tappables. Beware tho,,if you do it automatically without paying attention it will eat your supply of craftable currency to level up. There are rundown posts on that little trick,,if you want more info & better explanation.
I did you used to visit KL, pop 🎈🎈🎈 and collect tickets, then exchange tickets periodically for in game cash. It had become such a habit that now it feels like something is missing. I clear Springfield then my brain is conditioned to visit KL 😝
You can still pop balloons for tickets… it all works the same.
Me too! I automatically go to the bus to go to Krustyland every 8 hours.
Agree, that’s what I did and the game doesn’t feel right
Well I really didn’t like Krusty Land since the game never had any interaction there, except to finish a daily challenge. The Itchy & Scratchy event is kind of blah, imo. I didn’t like that it opened up more land that I didn’t need, Springfield is big enough as it was. JMO.
I liked Krustyland when it was an event. I bought almost everything for it, did some design work and bought all the land pieces, even though I never used more than about half of them for my Krustyland. After the event was over it seems it was completely forgotten by EA and just became and eyesore. It became a pain to go there since it takes so much time to load so I pretty much stopped going there.
I loved nuking my Krustyland. I liked how they let us be a part of it rather than just doing it behind the scenes and saying, “By the way, we nuked Krustlyand and your stuff is in storage.”
I’m a big fan of how they gave us land to use to build Krustyland in our Springfield. I guess I get how some people are upset that they didn’t tell us in advance so those who didn’t have all the Krustyland land could get it, but really the idea was to give you what you needed to replace your Krustyland in Springfield. If you didn’t care enough for Krustyland to work to get all of the land before, then EA figures you don’t care enough about it to rebuild it and don’t need the additional land in Springfield. (I know lots of people want additional land, but the idea was to replace Krustyland, not give a bunch of land for other things.)
Overall, I’m a big fan of the event. I’m a day ahead of the calendar and I only play about twice per day so it looks to be an easy one to complete if you play premium, or at least donut farm.
I miss hearing the Krusty laugh going between screens, but getting all that land in Springfield is very welcome. Otherwise another predictable 3 act formula with meh craftables. The extra land and itchy and scratchy are the best part so far. Lots of potential for designs. I like it
Don’t know about new krustyland event as still not been able to nuke old one.Im surprised how much it bothers me that I can’t play the new event,I guess you can officially call me an addict.please help ea ,I need my fix of playing the game.😭
The only good news, is that EA is going to Auto NUKE everyone that hasn’t nuked yet, later this week.
I didn’t hate it. I just found Krustyland super boring. In all the years I had been going there to pop the balloons I have only won donuts 1 time! Plus they never did anything about adding more rides or maybe being able to see the real Simpsons characters in the rides. Now…are we just going to put the same boring rides back?
^This.
On the plus side, there are a lot of oddball prizes accumulated over the years that just sit in my storage because they don’t fit in my Springfield that I may be able to work into KL, I&S land. The creativity of being able to use any Springfield item in KL and vice versa should make it worth it.
Bugs aside – and that’s a big aside – I give EA credit for trying to do something with the graveyard that was KL for most.
That said, forcing KL lovers to nuke and leaving them to rebuild in a clunky manner seems ill-conceived, almost disrespectful. For some, albeit few, it was just as valuable as Springfield proper. Imagine what we’d all be saying if they force nuked there, limited Land and lagged the game. That’s how some are feeling…
This event is a wide miss. So boring, back to the “come back in 4 hours” way of playing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not quitting this game by any stretch of the imagination; but so far this event doesn’t even have any good items to grind for. Hopefully they’ll be surprises in future acts. In my opinion the best event was the original Mr Burns Casino event. The one with the mini-games. I was expecting to buy more donuts for this event but I’ll probably just put that off until Halloween now.
Speaking of Halloween, now that KL is part of Springfield, they can do a KL Halloween of Horror night for an event! I have wanted this for years but EA probably couldn’t do it because newer players would be completely locked out. *bouncing with excitement at the thought
The merger is allowing for some neat designs. Examples are using the Duff fencing with the Duff ride, integrating Halloween craftables with the Haunted Condo, making all of the Bart Royal play stuff part of a separate land in I&S/Krusty Land, etc. Wish I had bought all of the land in KL instead of converting tickets to cash and working on my KL design over the years, but oh well. I like what this event is doing (aside from the lag!!!).
I think it’s too early to tell how this event is. I mean, we still have 2 more acts to go after this.
I was a “something else” vote, and I guess that I’m just frustrated and bored. Despite all the hoopla, this is ultimately just the same old TSTO – a long event, with the need for regular visits and crafting, and uninspiring prizes. I really don’t want to build a race track, etc. It’s OK, and I’ll stick it out, but I’m not inclined to rebuild my old Krustyland, and will probably just dump all these prizes and builds into inventory when it’s over. I was hoping for some new exciting form of gameplay, but I’ve accepted that that’s simply not going to happen. Overall, it’s just one big “Meh”.
For me, losing Krustyland was a good thing. I had LOTS of space that was completely wasted there, because I was more focused on the main part of Springfield. (So the additional land worked out REALLY well for me.) I also hadn’t put much effort into Krustyland, in terms of beautification, so I didn’t really lose anything by having to move it all. If anything, it got me to store the useless crap I had scattered around.
One thing that surprised me was that they added to the side of Springfield–I suspected that when such a change wad eventually made, that Springfield Heights might be extended to the east, squaring up the map as a whole.
This change also gave me that push I needed to get off my Duff, (pun intended) and make lots of changes.
I just wish I could get started on the event. I’m stuck playing the waiting game because of crashes. I hope I still get land tokens when it gets auto nuked on Monday.
Kent Brockman and My Two Cents:
It doesn’t bother me either way tbh I very rarely used it only for Daily Challenges but it did me no harm either. I can see why EA got rid of it though
So far, I’m very meh about this event. Probably going to store everything except the currency generating stuff. Only good thing so far is that i managed to pull four character/building combos out of the mystery box.
Something else: I love love loved the extra land–this new “win a token” method of getting land was not working for me–but why replace an amusement park with an amusement park? Just let us move over Krustyland and offer a bunch of new stuff for it.
My feelings don’t really fit into the polls. I’m a little sad they demolished krustyland but I’m liking itchy and scratchy so far. I didn’t go to krustyland often but I liked having it there just wished they would have conintued having it a part of the game instead of a forgotten track from 4 years ago.
The problem as I see it is they never did anything to make Krustyland worth focusing on. Now, they suddenly make a major change that is probably impacting a lot of devices in a negative way by adding even more into the main Springfield.
I wish they would have actually given us more to do with Krustyland beyond the minimal stuff. If anything, this is a product of EA’s own creation.
I had gotten the rollback glitch and was waiting on the repair ticket from EA to be completed for almost 2 weeks. In that time, I also got a new Samsung S8, So with the downtime (and scoring 300 donuts for my grievances) and the new performant phone, I’m good with this event. I was initially put off by the KL nuke, but now I’m excited to have all the content available in one area. I’m seeing lots of new design possibilities adding KL stuff to my town and adding town stuff to my KL.
I used to visit often, but love having it in my Springfield now.
The only problem is that the item limit was not increased anywhere enough to allow me to put out all the stuff I had there.
Was trying to build up K-Land. Glad I don’t have to go there. Am curiously awaiting to see how S&R-Land will build out. What sort of Log Ride, Tunnel of Love, Roller Cosster, etc will become available. And then truly merge the two.
Until then,
Peace Out!
I’m okay with the update. However, my game is running slower. I would also like to see an option to select the characters that have jobs that earn Krustyland tickets so I don’t have to go through my 100+ characters individually.
I have mixed feelings. I didn’t hate Krustyland, but I never bothered to decorate it – it was a plopper of attractions.
On the other hand, while I admit that the Krustyland -> I&S-land transition had some benefits, it came with several disadvantages (lag, visitors distribution…). I even decided to quit KEM farming for the time being, the delay is bothersome.
Still, the attractions-composition idea is original, that I appreciated 🙂
A quick question about KL: I saw parking lots I’m front of my neighbors’ KLs are often full of cars while mine is empty. How do I get the cars parking there? I play daily, every few hours, yet nothing changes there. Is this linked to some activity?
Place a k-land parking space and then click on the parking
spaces and cars will show up.
Tap the lots and they change. Sorta like the crowds change appearance
Tap them a few times to cycle them through car configurations.
