Ah…another Act is upon us, and another “Grindtastic Weekend” awaits! Is it possible to stay on track to “get everything,” while still having a life? Yes. Yes it is…if you are smart about how you spend your time. Most of the “grinding” these days is actually “Grinding Lite,” as the critical stuff only takes a few seconds.
But, EA has continued to make things challenging, once you win items…in that with the item limit restrictions in place, some of us have to be pretty clever in how we maximize our bonuses. We need to have fun with the items that we win…without getting the dreaded, “YOU HAVE REACHED YOUR ITEM LIMIT…YOU SUCK!” message (I might have been paraphrasing there a bit…but it is the way it makes you feel).
Nonetheless, (don’t you love a word like “nonetheless?” It looks like a run-on mistake…but it really is a word! Like aforementioned, and heretofore…English is so weird sometimes), where were we? Oh. right…Nonetheless, there are ways to deal with the Lag Issue that some continue to face, as well as trying to figure out ways to maximize our bonus earnings while cramming everything into the “Bonus Blue” area for Itchy&ScratchyLand.
So something EA’s been slowly rolling out over the last year or so is this new bonus for actually spending cash on donuts. (instead of just farming them) Where they attach a premium, limited-time, character to one of the donut bundles in addition to bonus donuts.
This time around we’re being offered Maw Spucker, a FULL character, for a truckload of 300 Donuts ($19.99 in the US). While it’s hard for me to sit here and tell you if you should or shouldn’t spend actual cash on the game (spoiler, I think you should always spend at least a small amount…even if it’s $.99/year on the game if it brings you joy and you want to see it continue) I thought I’d do a quick breakdown of Maw, her tasks and other details you may be curious about.
So let’s consider this an abbreviated Should I Buy….
BOOM!! And we are off to another Grindfest of Marginal Excitement!! Act II Prizes are relatively repetitive, but a little better (as in a little) than act one.
As with Act I, the First Prize is actually serves a couple of purposes. First, it is another ride for Itchy and Scratchy Land. Second, it unlocks the Crafting area for Level 5 of Crafting…which coincidentally is mostly just a bunch of add-on parts for said ride. And Lastly…it will help you increase your bonus percentage when/if you place said ride within the Blue Bonus Area that is associated with the main gate.
