What better way to spend your time than talking math. So from time-to-time, I’ll come to you with a post that delves into the wonderful world of numbers, stats, and/or strategies.
While we’ve previously discussed Springfield Downs and the Go Kart Track last year, we’ll continue to look at most of the Minigames found within our game. We continue our journey today with Where’s Maggie!
WHERE’S MAGGIE?
The Where’s Maggie minigame can be played at the Playdough Factory every 16 hours.
The objective of the minigame is to find Maggie who is hidden in the vicinity of one of a selected group of buildings. Once the game begins the player has a specific amount of time to find her and conclude the game by tapping on the base of building where she is located. The standard reward is 500 
and 200 
.
The minimum search time is 30 seconds, which is increased according to the number of buildings the player has where Maggie can hide. The first one of each different type of building adds 2 seconds to the countdown, while the second to forth add 0.5 second each up to a maximum of 2 minutes. The minigame can be played every 16 hours but cannot be started if Maggie is busy.

Maggie is normally on top of a building. There are exceptions, though: Maggie may also hide sitting in the doughnut’s hole of the large figure (mascot) at Lard Lad Donuts, and sometimes she is not on top of, but rather in the entrance area of Springfield Elementary or the Springfield Wax Museum, or in the garage entrance of the Simpson House.
I Found Maggie!
When successful 3 times (not necessarily in a row), the player selects one of three boxes to win one, two, or three donuts, as with the bonus levels and bonus gifts on Events. If the player doesn’t win three donuts on the first try, there is an option to spend $150,000 Cash each to open one or both of the remaining two boxes.
Tips and Strategies
- Turn up your volume while searching for Maggie as she can be heard sucking on her pacifier.
- Place the buildings where Maggie can hide near the Playdough Factory.
- Build multiples of those buildings to increase the time up to 2 minutes, but don’t go overboard or it can be harder to find Maggie.
- Once you find Maggie, you need to tap the base of the building where you spot Maggie, not on Maggie herself, otherwise the game doesn’t recognize that you found her.
- If time has nearly run out, you can abruptly force close the game, and will have the opportunity to restart the game much sooner than 16 hours later.

OHhhh I didn’t know she could hide in the wax museum or Bart’s treehouse. That explains those rare times where I can’t find her.
I don’t check for extra donuts because my money is still pretty low so I just deal with the one donut reward.
I have each of these items in my Springfield but the game has never given me 2 minutes…typically find her much quicker than my timer (maybe 1min 20sec) but always wondered why I got less time?
Do you have multiples of each item? I have the full two minutes but have about 100 Lard Lads.
No, typically try not to clutter my Springfield with many multiples at all… Just don’t like how it looks
But must’ve slipped my attention that you’d only get full 2:00 with many multiples of those items listed?

why do you have 100 lard lads,Safi?
I play regularly (1:30 timer for me), and she’s almost always in my blue house farm, so a very quick find. If not, I usually find her in the original part of my Springfield. Weirdly, she’s only shown up at Lard Lad once. Once in a rare while, I have to force close when time is running out. I always go for three donuts — it doesn’t bother me to spend the $$ for trying again.
Whenever I can’t find Maggie she is either at the wax museum or at my destroyed krustyburger. When I can’t find her it’s because I am moving fast and can’t find her signature suckle noise. I always pick the right box and wait for the lights to go all the way around and pick at the same time. It seems to work almost every time but that might just be in my head.
You missed Burns’ Manor on your list. Luckily for me, I started playing TSTO within a year of its launch and before the house prices went up with each additional purchase. So I have a white house farm that’s at least 20 wide by 10 deep. Most of the time, Maggie is there, but I have my route laid out to hit all the places she hides.
My clock is 1.14 minutes, and manage to find her 95% of the time. Those times I fail is because of my lack of focus. I’ve arranged my buildings in a way that allows me to sweep for her in a circular clockwise fashion. If you visit my town, it’s hardly discernible as the layout still looks organized but there is a hidden purpose. Always go for the 3 donuts.
I look for Maggs every day & 95% of the time I find her. Sometimes I forget she appears at the Spuckler farm, which is quite far away from my other Maggie buildings, so I’ve missed her there a few times.
Congrats Safi for writing the last minigame post in the game.: ) I am ok with finding her on the buildings even though most of them are spaced out from each other but sometimes I don’t find her because I don’t hear the pacifier sound from Maggie despite the fact I always play with the sound on. It is also annoying to only get 1 donut on the first try of tapping the boxes since it cost $150-300k to get 3 donuts. I still collect cash for the land that still cost cash, the cash items and the Road to Riches prizes. I do like that it is an easy way to get donuts without doing too much work like the other donut earning methods.
I want to include that the next strategy post can be about ways to get cash in the game for the store items, Roads to Riches prizes and the land that still cost cash. Another strategy post idea can be how to stay below the item limit.

I used to play it a lot.
I stop playing after farming was more effective.
I’m not a KEMer so the donuts from this and the monorail are my TSTO musts along with the event grind. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is that there is no penalty for tapping on a building Maggie isn’t, so having all the possible locations all grouped along a couple long blocks in the game all I do when the timer starts is run down the block and hit the buildings along the way. Get her in 20ish seconds almost every time.
The where’s Maggie donuts are $150k per 2nd guess compared with $50k for KEM farming donuts so i tend to put less effort into where’s Maggie now, as much lower ROI.
I’ve never seen her at the treehouse. Another tip, if you hear her loudly but don’t see her, just tap each building quickly in the area. There’s no penalization of tapping the wrong building. But once you hit it, it will change.
I have a route when searching for maggie that covers most of the buildings she can be hiding at, if she’s not there, then she’s at a more distant lard lads donuts. I cant remember if I ever saw her at the treehouse, bu since I have it next to Simpsons house as part of my route, it might have slipped my mind.
I play it once a day in the morging, its easier to me as on the rare occasion when I managed to play twice during a day, the next day I would forget to play in the middle (or end) of the day, thus averaging once a day anyway 🙂
I’ve never once seen her on the brown house, and I’ve played daily since she came to town. I think that shouldn’t be included in the list.
Because you’ve never seen her there? What if 10000 other people have? Remember your game is not the sun…

I’ve never seen her in Bart’s treehouse. And I have 4 towns. I’d love a screenshot of her there if anyone has one. I keep hoping she will show up there, but no. She loves Lard Lad, white houses, and Ziff Corp.

I have placed the Playdough Factory in the center of hundreds of white houses. Here, 99.9% I will find Maggie perched on a rooftop here always! Every few days I buy my way to three donuts if not lucky on my guess. In the advent of not finding her here amidst the white houses in which I have a full 2 minutes to search I will find her at the police station, or one or two other buildings, this being that I’ve played this mini game for a few years now and maybe twice I didn’t find her in time 🙂
I’m horrible at finding her. I’ve never found her. I might try again after this post. I never play the mini games though.

I am a donut farmer and still Find Maggie as my daily routine. Over the years since we have had her over joyously sucking noises to find her, I figured out most of what you shared, but did not realize this point which is great to know in those rare cases I can’t find her (usually when the mini game glitches and forgets to make the sucking noises)…..

i do find her a lot, i used to fail cause there was a tree in front of springfield elementary so i couldnt see her
I play Where’s Maggie every morning and it’s rare when I don’t find her. Every once in a while she won’t make the sucking noise so I miss her. I only have 1:18 to find her. I don’t think she’s ever appeared on the brown house in my game. The three donuts are usually in the same spot but if I miss I always go for it. I have so much in-game cash it’s no big deal to spent it for donuts. I don’t donut farm so this is the easiest way to earn 6 or 9 donuts/week. May be a slow process during events but it works for me.

I wish I knew there were limited buildings she appears at (I wasn’t playing when Maggie first arrived), I would have designed my Springfield differently. I know they’re easy bonuts but I stopped playing once my town got too large.

I have the Maggie’s block. All the buildings are there. It is always easy to find her.
9 times out of 10, Maggie is on a roof in my blue house farm.
I put the factory in the middle of the blue house farm I still have. I can find her there or just quit the game. Max of about 10 seconds each play.
I used to play “Where’s Maggie” as soon as it was available. I hit an inflection point in my KEM farming capability a few months ago so now “Where’s Maggie” is just for fun. Winter time is more challenging as she blends in with the snow.
I set Agnes and Furious D on 16 hour tasks so I know when it is time to play. I keep Maggie in her Outlands skin so I can more easily store her if I put her in a task that is still going. This is a nice way to get bonuts.
I keep her in her Christmas suit, perched on top of the Christmas tree. Also easy to clear and super adorable to boot!
I got tired of playing and the factory doesn’t really fit in my town.
I think my clock is either 1:15 or 1:45 but I’m not sure, it usually takes me less than 30 seconds to find her. She’s usually on a house so if I don’t find her in the neighborhood I know where to look. Sound is everything.
I don’t remember the last time I failed to find her.. if that’s even happened. Maybe when it was first released?
Before I started farming I always went for 3 donuts. Now I just take whatever I get on the first try.
I stashed the building when my city became too large 😂
