Super Safi’s Stats & Strategy Special: Yellow Submersible!

Salutations Senors, Senoras, Senoritas, Statisticians & Strategists,

(Today’s post is sponsored by the letter ‘S’)

Hi, I’m Super Safi and you may remember me from such stats and strategy posts as KEM Farming and the advanced losing-to-win Superheroes battle strategy.

What better way to spend your time than talking math. So from time-to-time, I’ll come to you with a post that delves into the wonderful world of numbers, stats, and/or strategies.

While we’ve previously discussed the Minigames found within our game, such as  Springfield Downs and the Go Kart Track last year, Stats and Strategies extend well beyond the Minigames. Today we look at the stats of the Yellow Submersible!

YELLOW SUBMERSIBLE!

The Yellow Submersible is a limited-time premium item that was initially released for 85 donuts as part of 2016 The Marge-ian Chronicles promotional, and was re-released again for 85 donuts during the 2017 Secret Agents event.

To send the Yellow Submersible on “missions” to collect Tiles, simply tap on it and you’ll see the popup:

2016-03-09 23.01.42
Click Start
2016-03-09 23.01.46
And click Start again.

Each 24 hour “mission” earns the standard reward of 500  and 45 .

The Yellow Submersible can generate Boardwalk Tiles and Pier Tiles, even after the maximum amount of Tiles have been reached at the Squidport Entrance or Ornate Pier.

OUTCOME STATS

Upon the completion of the 24 hour “mission”, you will see one of the following three messages:

2016-03-09 23.01.57

2016-03-09 23.02.48

Reward Cash and XP Odds
Boardwalk Tile 500  and 45  29.70%
Pier Tile 500  and 45  9.90%
Consolation Prize 500  and 45  60.40%

Did you purchase the Yellow Submersible? How many tiles do you get each week? If it comes back for 85 donuts, would those of you who don’t have it purchase it? What stats or strategy related topic would you liked discussed? Share your thoughts. You know we love hearing from you. And be sure to come back for the next Stats and Strategy post.

Minigames:

Springfield Downs, Go Kart Tracks, Insanity Mode, Sideshow You, Rocket Launch Pad, Claw Machine, Scratch-R, The Eliminator, Bigclaw, Excavation Site, Drone Scan, Sci-Fighter, Where’s Maggie

  1. Was anyone here around for the infinite stacking handshakes on squidport? Good times. Way over max on tiles before this thing ever existed. (I still own it, though. It’s not always diving because I like how it looks, but I send it sometimes.)

  2. Want want want!
    Need need need!

Ive wanted this for such a long time after maxing our in my boardwalk tiles but it hasn’t come back, plEAse EA bring this back cause I will most definitely spend me sprinkles on it.

  4. I had this in the inventory because I was still trying to max out the boardwalk and pier tiles from the entrances and now that both have been maxed out its time for me to dig this out. Thanks for the post, Safi! 😀

  5. Is it visible when not in use ? I haven’t maxed out on tiles, but would like it for the water.

  6. Missed this but when it returns I will get it, reminds me of a great 60s band

  7. Is anyone else having an issue with the servers?
I’m in the UK, on an iPhone 6s, most up to date iOS, most up to date version of App.
I’ve tried force closing the App, turning phone off and on again, disconnecting and reconnecting from my internet.

  8. When it was first released, I didnt have enough donuts and didnt think I needed it, the second time I had enough donuts, but still didnt think I needed it. Since I revamped my squidport, I need it… So heres me hoping they will bring it back

  9. I brought it. Best buy ever. I reckon my payout on the timber boardwalk is more like 5 % for me not the 29% but. No regrets but as my squidport runs from one end of the screen all the way to the other because of the submersible . It’s good they reward you for having spent donuts, having said that I’d be mad as hell if they removed the max out limit and allowed everyone to receive more without the use of the submersible.

    • Certainly not a one in three reward on wooden tiles for me either… I send it down everyday and get a wood tile maybe once in every 2 weeks.

  10. Sad I didn’t get it. But now I have enough sprinkles to get it for sure if it comes back.

  11. Yellow Submersible

I always regretted not spending sprinkles on obtaining this. Who doesn’t want more Pier Tiles (both Squidport and Springfield Heights). It’s the aquatic version of the Rocketship! 👍

  12. I got it unwillingly from a mystery box some time ago… I didn’t want it… but I send it down whenever I remember… and I don’t use those tiles, because my design is simple and I never have time to create anything fancy… so I am neutral to the submarine.

  13. Donuts well spent. The ability to shift some of the current events prizes and items to the pier frees up more land.

  14. i hated on the newest mystery box for a bit, gave in and bought a box, and ended up getting moes cavern! I take back all i said. =)

  15. I was maxed out of tiles, once I got this I continue to get 4 to 5 a week. Love it

  16. Love my yellow sub!
I always have it exploring the murky depths of Springfield’s Waters.

  17. Does anybody know…

When buying tiles, there is a limit. Does the submersible stop giving tiles when that limit is reached, or does it allow more than the limit?

  18. Never regretted spending the donuts to get the submersible. 👍

I have it and run it constantly. If I get a pier tile, I place it under a building and use the Boardwalk tile to expand my pier.
    Love 💕 it.

  20. I didn’t have enough donuts to get it the last time it was offered, so if it’s offered again I would get it.

  21. Josephine Kick@$$

Definitely love getting more tiles for the boardwalk! Would buy it if I didn’t already have it😁 (I’d even buy another if I could, I like the look & would leave it up a lot of the time).

  22. Don’t regret getting it at all. Play every day and glad it doesn’t cost money to send it diving. Have no use for the Ornate Pier tiles because the Springfield Heights water section is filled up. I do use them however to map out where I want the Squid Port tiles to go and replace them as I earn them. Would be nice if we had another Squid Port entrance of sorts so that there’s another entry way to it, or so it would be easier to make a separate boardwalk that had its own entrance.

    • I wish the Marine World sign had been another entrance…seems like a no brainer.🤔

      • Yeessssss, that would have been great.

I’ve tried to use some beach hideaway bridges between land and squidport, and it works okay, but I’d love another real port entrance.

  23. Heck yes I would get it. I’ve maxed out tiles and have wanted more for a long time.

  24. This has been a game changer for me since I’m maxed out the only way to get more is do this daily. The ocean keeps getting bigger and I want more tiles to place stuff out at sea.

    Highly recommend it! 😎

  25. Do want, a lot. It’s unbelievable how fast tiles disappear when you’re designing.

  26. I love my submersible😀👍….I can never have too many tiles, although I only use the ornate tiles under buildings (don’t like the look for a boardwalk). With less land available, it make sense to move some things onto Squiddy tiles. I have a whole zoo section on tiles now, instead of a traditional boardwalk, and plan to create other smaller self-contained areas all across the water, rather than one large boardwalk area. Some of my neighbors have come up with really creative ways to use the tiles…I think a show-off just for creative tile usage would be a fun filler for some week when things are a little slow (hint, hint).😁

  27. Oddly enough for both release times I was dealing with illness issues and wasn’t able to play like i normally do. As well as i wasn’t able to read my fav blog by y’all so I missed out on the submarine. I would absolutely buy it if it ever came back.

  28. I don’t have it but think I would buy it, I’d like more tiles for my design and I’m at the maximum.

  29. While I wouldn’t mind more tiles, both of my pier designs are pretty much locked in. I don’t have this and wouldn’t spend more than 15 donuts for it.

  30. Want!
