We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Last week for Act 1 of the 2018 THOH event in Springfield, how are you doing with the Act 1 prize track? How far have you progressed? Will you be saving your daily challenges (starting Monday) to start Act 2?
The Simpsons are all new tonight, what are your thoughts on Season 30 so far? (3 episodes in)
And finally, how about the rest of your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting?

Hi guys. I’m having serious problems with the item limits in my town. I tend to go into a lot of detail with each building. Do ye have any tips for getting around this without sacrificing the amount of detail I go into? Do ye think that EA will increase the limit again in the future?
Welcome to my team… There is no answer, except to take the course of nuking.
If you are just getting the warning that you should keep it to 8900 or so…ignore it. The current hard limit, where the don’t let you add anything more, is 11,900. If you are hitting that…then you are with me and many others.
Nuking is a bit too drastic for me. I did it and because inventory management is so cumbersome it is taking me forever to rebuild. I sacrifced bonus% for items, i.e. I had multiples of bonus% items hidden behind buildings etc. and removed them to be able to put regular items in plain view. But then farming for bonuts (which I do on occasion) became a lot harder. My plan is to rebuild nicely detailed areas and every so often store sections as groups in inventory to change parts around, make room for events etc. If I want something back I can restore the grouped items from inventory in one go.
Something to think about…you might want to pull out all your bonus % xp items from inventory into an open area, arrange them into a compact square, then re-store them as a group. It may take a little time, but now you can pull them out as a group and plop them whenever you donut farm.
I currently have 8 different groups of xp bonus items in group storage (including all my SH buildings – each stored by type – and the Beach Hideaways) that I pull out to boost my bonus for RTT farming. My bonus jumps from 800% to 1500% for a few hours, then all the excess stuff goes back into storage till the next time. Keeps my town less cluttered, keeps my item count manageable, and I have stopped accruing such ridiculous amounts of excess cash. Even at 800%, I’ve earned back all my RTT spent cash by the time I farm again, so there’s no reason to earn more money than that. Just a thought…🎃
That’s what I was thinking. I had some awesome designs but when I nuked my town they went away. Recreating them from memory and changing little things has its own rewards but it’s taking forever.
You can use group-storage to store an area of seasonal (or not) items (Christmas, Halloween, Easter…or whatever) and pull it back out when you want it. I have bunches of areas of my old town still group-stored, in case I want to rotate out an area that I’m tired of.
All my Christmas stuff is group-stored, and when Halloween is over, it will be group-stored and Christmas pulled out. By storing and rotating stuff, I can keep my piece count between 10,000 and 10,500…which gives me the freedom to design with the detail level I like. It also keeps my town interesting, since there’s always something new to work with. Try storing a small section of your town that no longer “wows” you…you’ll be amazed at how many pieces you had tied up, that you can now do something more fun with.
Thank You Ebron; I’ve a lot of weird little bits in various group storage sets that would be better accessed & found if all together in the one storage box site. Now I’ll just plonk them down & regroup on a day when my crippled hands are being nice to me! (That tap, hold down finger & drag thing is so frustrating when you can’t do it!)
Sad thing is my 20 year old black cat can walk on my ipad & make the function work better than I ever could! & No Salem isn’t telling me how he does it!
My cat isn’t so helpful, she likes to tap the ‘close window’ square for some reason😆🙀.
Didn’t see it mentioned elsewhere: if you get the Slick & Teen Lit building, in part 2 of the quest you can send (all) kids to write a piece of fiction, which pays out 360 fangs each every 8 hours. If you don’t finish the quest for Lit (the character that comes with the combo) you can keep sending all your kids (I have 39, 4 are earning pickaxes) to earn a ton of fangs. I’ve been earning 12.600 extra fangs every 8 hours for two days now. I hope it’ll remain possible for act 2, makes it a LOT easier to get all the prizes. If you’re into that…

Bought it hoping for some bonus XP but a let down. Shouldve waited for it to be in a mysterybox. The ghost pirate ship rebate is nice.

Hi, everyone. I am having an issue where every time I go to open my app on my iPod it has to re-download the entire app, all 600-some updates just to play. It is very time consuming and making playing very difficult. Has anyone had this issue before or have any idea what the issue could be? Furthermore, if you have had the issue, do you remember how to fix it?

You don’t have enough free space on your device, game requires at least 5gb (in some cases more) of free space. Clear up some space and it’ll download one more time and then stop

my washin machine broke down, I got my baby nappies in her first wash and went to see if can started the second one and surprise !!! all the laundry, toilet and walk-in was flooded 🙁 now I have wet nappies, baby’s cloth, mom.and dad clothes all dirty 🙁

This may have been asked in a prior post and if so I apologize for asking it again! I have made it through the prize track and won Countess Dracula and Count Grandpa. So now, is it better to save my pick axes or should I continue to dig for relics? Thank you for the advice! I always appreciate it!

Which do people think is better – storing pick axes or storing daily tasks. Also does it matter if I haven’t hit the bonus bites targets yet?
Why not do both to get the best points boost possible at the start of act 2.
I am doing both…got a task to dig at the site, so am saving that one for after act 2 starts. Will save one more daily task on Monday or Tuesday, and have been saving pickaxes and crafting currency since I got the Countess. Should make a nice headstart.👻
Great tip. I caught this but too late. I already sent Slick on his part of the quest before I saw the kids’ part earned Fangs. Still got quite a big chunk that one time shot.
As per Brooders, you may be able to do it again in part 3 of the questline. Just don’t send Slick to complete his part. Keep sending kids over and over.
My game keeps shutting down and kicking me out; sometimes after a minute or so of play, but sometimes before the first screen fully loads. Every so often, it lets me all the way in, but tells me I don’t have the app store on my device–I do, it came preloaded and I used it to get the app–and shuts the game and takes me to the amazon app store.
I’ve tried deleted Tapped Out and re-installing it; it helped for about 2 days before starting up again.
Any suggestions?
Sounds like a space issue. Try clearing up some of the pictures and videos on your phone/device. Delete unnecessary apps.
Thanks, but I had tried that already, though I started with a fairly large amount of free space available.
Don’t know if this will help, but was having issues where the game would download all updates every time I opened it. Playing on a galaxy s6 with game tuner installed. They recently updated that app and screwed it up. I uninstalled game tuner and TSTO has running smooth since then.
So, as I start my yearly Treehouse of Horror binge around this time, I decided to give something a try. I wanted to see how many on screen deaths there have been. Through THOH 16 there have been 190. give or take. The honor of the first on-screen fatality was Lenny, getting eaten by King Homer in THOH 3.
I used my judgement in some cases as what counts and what doesnt. And some big events have been tough to tally, Homer clones falling off the cliff for instance, but I think its a somewhat accurate estimation and fun going through them all and coming up with this

Been having a discussion with my kids about certain characters and that they haven’t been in many episodes but are still MASSIVE characters i.e. Sideshow Bob, Duffman.
I’ve done a Google search just out of interest to find a list of how many episodes all Simpsons characters have been in and for the life of me I can’t find any!
Can anyone help, wanna impress my kids with my knowledge 😂😂😂

I’m finished with act 1 and right now stockpiling everything to get ready for act 2 and mopping up some of the other storylines to keep from having to many backed up. Only have anywhere from 2-4 characters out of the forge at a time to keep a decent flow of pickaxes coming in.

Woohoo! It’s raining as we speak! And we had some light rain on Thursday/Friday so I’m feeling good. Not sure if it is also falling in our catchment areas but it all helps so I’m not complaining 😄 And with more forecast towards the end of the week it feels quite positive! 👍😄👍
My move to the next door flat is done although I am still finding homes for everything. Even though my new flat is a little bigger than the old one it is quite tricky getting everything to fit as the layout is different. Still it is just a large 3D jigsaw puzzle to be solved. I was looking forward to having quieter mornings as my bedroom is now on the other side of the house from the preschool my neighbour runs. And it is indeed quieter around 7:30 when the kids arrive. However, there is a hadeda (a hadeda ibis) that greets the sun with very loud shrieks at about 6am!!! 😄 As a kid I was terrified of these large birds as some older boys at football practice told me they would peck out my eyes with their long beaks so if the ball went near them I refused to fetch it. Now I like them cos they are good for the garden but they are loud… 😄
I’m still enjoying the Halloween event and earned Countess Dracula this morning. For once I managed to work out the beneficial fang earning trick mentioned by Safi below so all my kids are spending 8 hours writing novels and will keep doing so until the event is over! 😄 Trying to find a space to isolate the Tween Lit Inc. building so that I don’t have to use the town hall to make sure I send all my kids each time. Tried it in a corner with a little land surrounded by water and it worked for a while until they just walked across the water. Might need to provide them with even more land and a section of road before surrounding them with water. A work in progress… 😄😄😄

I need to collect more money to unlock more land tiles and upgrade the IRS range to level 8 and 9. Any good advice for a “fast” farm?
It’s just a matter of tapping frequently. The faster and more frequently you tap, the more money you earn.
Kwik-e-marts are the best value if you are shorter on cash and can logon every 4 hours, especially if you are building less than 24 at a time. Tiki huts are what I use if I want a quick exchange of in game cash for donuts, but they are more expensive than kwik-e-marts on a per-donut basis.

I would suggest a house farm that pays out evey 4 hours. Crafting as many cottages as you can from this event would help…free houses are rare these days. 🎃

So should I keep my incantations I have for the next act? Or use them because they will disappear? I’ve gotten all I can for rewards but can’t get the large tree or big bone or anything. Just don’t want them to go to waste, so use em or save em? Thanks!
I’ve never seen crafting currency change to my recollection, I’m saving mine. Big tree unlocks with Act 2.
Keep the incantations…crafting currency is good thru the whole event and a surplus will give you a headstart on Wednesday. Only “fangs” will change in act 2.
I want everyone to know that, at least imo, buying Slick and the Tween Lit Inc building is a MUST.
As soon as you reach the second part of his questline: “The People’s Author Part 2”, you can send all kids from your springfield yo write a Novel and it grants 360 fangs after 8 hours.
Now here’s the trick: You don’t have to complete Slick’s part of this quest, and instead you can keep sending kids over and over every 8 hours. I’m getting bonuts almost every 8 hours (I have all characters, so I’m sending 52 kids every 8 hours to collect more fangs: that’s a total of 18,720 fangs without considering picaxe jobs or tapping monsters or neighbors).

As has been mentioned by a few people, if you’re struggling to earn fangs, the Tween Lit Factory is a great investment. Part 2 of the questline requires you send Slick on an 8 hour task and at least 3 kids on an 8 hour task. The kids you send earn 360 fangs.
If you send Slick repeatedly on his 12 hour task and don’t send him to complete his part of Part 2 of his questline, you can keep sending kids over and over to earn fangs. Every 8 hours, I send 53 kids on the 8 hour task and earn over 19k fangs. I’ve completed this 4 times already, working on the 5th time, and gone from the second prize to fifth prize in two days.
I’ll be travelling during Act 2 and Act 3, so continuing to do this every 8 hours will be a HUGE help in those Acts.
Unless they patch it. Which I’ve been afraid of. Hopefully they leave it alone, because it’s a HUGE bump.

Yeah, discovered this too. Getting about 18000 each time will definitely make the rest of the event quicker. Hopefully it wont get patched out.
With this trick Slick is probaly the best donuts’ investment of the event…

Theoretically it should apply to act two and act three as well, unless as some people are worried they implement a patch.

As per Brooders, you get another chance in part three of the questline. Though I cannot personally confirm this. However, Brooders is a very reliable source.
Crap, missed out there too. I was past the point before realizing I could stall on Slick’s tasks. Oh well, Act 2 is about to start so I’ll just keep carrying on by grinding away.

Just found out the same in part 3 this afternoon, had to store the building because I accidently send slick on his task, but it is indeed over 30 kids you can send (not counting the ones that earn axes, or do railway).
This will fly you through part 2 & 3 of the event and the amount of extra donuts is worth the investment.
How do you get extra donuts from that building
It will help you finish the act 2 prize track early, and then you can keep collecting event currency towards bonuts (bonus donuts) at the end of the act.🎃
