Holyfreakinshirt! What day is it anyway? I know I’ve complained about this before, during this “interesting new version of normal.” But dammit…nothing is normal right now…except for TSTO. It is sooooooo normal, that it is making me insane.
There is little doubt that we are stuck in a rut…and the people who are “coming back to the game,” after layoffs of year, or even two (especially those who have been gone less than two years) have GOT to notice. If you are paying attention, you will notice that almost nothing has changed in format in months, and months and months. This isn’t a new observation…but, it really is like seeing an “Under Construction” sign on a new building…leaving for a year or two, and coming back to see that only the sign has been repainted.
And I’ve had enough. I’m going to get answers. I’m going to call “EA Bob” and find out what the hell is going on, (besides very little.)
Here’s my list of things I’m going to ask, when I grab him between pizza runs on his side hustle, from his clearly part-time job at EA.
1. WHY CAN’T YOU CHANGE THINGS UP???? As I have mentioned before, EA is using the same basic programming, over, and over, and over again…they are just messing with the dates, and the “prizes.” Even the pattern of how many prizes in ratio to basic decorations to Premium items and characters hasn’t changed. HOW HARD WOULD IT BE TO DUPLICATE ONE OF THE MORE INTERESTING OLD EVENT??? Not hard. Just switch a few things around…and you could have “Stonecutters II,” or “Springfield Casino II.” I mean… they made something 15 of the Ocean’s 11 movies. There’s no shame in repeating a GOOD format!
2. Item limits. Dude. You are losing loads of longtime players because you won’t change one number in the algorithm. ONE NUMBER. Just freakin’ do it!! How hard is it to change one stinkin’ number..EAsy!!! Right??? Give us some room to play. I’m tired of decimating my town to place the lackluster crap we get with the new format.
3. If you think that Donut Farming is killing the profits…and therefore killing the rate of users, because you don’t want to put more money into programming…CHANGE ONE NUMBER in the algorithm. Add a zero to the incremental cost of Kwik-E-Marts. Or limit the number you can place at one time. You are pretty damn good at sending warnings when we reach our item limits…so the code exists. Just attach it to a different item algorithm.
4. The dialogue is the best part of the game right now. Give us MORE…and stop making us tap a ton of cycles to get “the rest of the story.” It’s not that hard. The writers can churn out a few more lines. So WRITE…RIGHT?
5. No more damn skins. Safi has given us a huge list of characters that still haven’t appeared. If skins were like clothes, there would be a HUGE closet somewhere with Homer version, hanging unused. We use them during the event…and then forget them. Give us more characters…far less skins.
And this...is a GENERAL COMPLAINT that comes along with the “How Hard Is It to Do The Easy Stuff?” category. Wear your damn masks when you go out. I’m tired of reading about “the curve.” The places that did it right aren’t seeing huge surges . Wear a mask. Don’t give me the “Freedom to Do What I Want,” line. It’s not just you that is put in danger when you contract and spread. Just Do It…you big, entitled, thoughtless moron. And for the record, I’m talking about Bob again. I saw him out delivering pizzas, with his mask tucked under his chin, so he could smoke a clove cigarette as he drove. Bob is a dufus.
I’m going to hunt that guy down…and get answers. WATCH THIS SPACE FOR REAL ANSWERS…I’m not going to rest until I get them.

It’s funny when they give us skins for main characters, such as say Halloween skins, then at Halloween if you put your main characters in their Halloween skins, it’s pulls them off when you send them on their Halloween event tasks. Counterproductive to give us a holiday skin that we can’t use during the holiday event.
It would be great if we could get more tiles for the boardwalk even though I have been able to get to almost got the end of the water but I really need way more tiles for all my stuff. You are right a casino 2 or stonecutters 2 would be amazing as those were the best events they ever had. The events have gotten so boring I used to live in this game non stop and now I’m like ehh about it. I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I miss crafting at least I felt like I was accomplishing something. Please let them know I’m over characters that just walk around the town and do nothing I actually put most of them in storage now and only leave out the cute ones. More railroad stations or decor would be great also I have track that goes all around town but only have five stations and one of them has no stuff with it just plain and boring. Also, the quickie mart scratcher thing is so annoying I have never once spent a donut on it and I never scratch the 250 one totally boring and don’t click on it by accident takes forever to load get rid of that feature already. I’ve played since day one and now I’m so bored I’m barely adding in the new stuff because the game has become the same. I will say this about the game you do not have to spend a donut to finish any event or even buy the characters because they make it attainable and that is exactly why I do donut farm but I also make sure I spend twenty bucks for donuts just so they are making money and will keep the game going because I love my town and I never want it to away!!
I also noticed every single time they do an update the next day after you’ve played all the sudden you can’t sign in. I did find away around changing your password every time to get back in because it doesn’t recognize you, all you do is go to origin website sign yourself stay signed in and go hard close the Simpson app completely open it back up now will ask for your age and then your name will be there’s but it will say you are level one don’t freak out just log out and log in and you are good to go! Has worked for me the last four updates.

I found you don’t actually have to change your password. After you put in you age and accept the new terms put in your email then intentionally put in the wrong password. It will then not allow you to login. So the second time put in your correct password and you will be fine.
Yes more pier tiles please, the yellow submarine brings in about 2 a month. Let us make or buy more. Please EA.!!!!
Dude, why do you still play? It’s an honest question if it’s making you insane, then why? I’ve been around for years in this community and your posts used to be something. At the beginning they were a good read with a little grumpy, but now it’s just you hate it you hate it you hate it.. everything. I don’t know you, but you’ve shared a lot with this community and you have a lot of different things that keep you busy. It doesn’t sound like you have fun anymore. I’m just saying why put stress into your busy life if you’re not getting any pleasure out of it?
I think the reason people play and keep playing is the fact the most other mobile games are either completely lame or broken so you have to keep paying just to even play the game. And other games are not always online which means any micro transactions don’t transfer over to other devices. Despite what ever limits tapped out had it is still a good casual unbroken game.

Hello, I want to keep this short and sweet, this website has literally been such a staple of my life and this game has been one of my favorite things in my life for Almost a decade. Simply thank you and I love you. (Also one of the best ideas I’ve seen is bringing back casino or Wild West events, or possibly expanding I&S land or squid port or heights or anything) Also I honestly think crafting should come back, simple because it’s a system based on how much you like an event, if u love an event you grind, if not you get out with the few things you like, but you can emphasize those things. Also perhaps bring back prizes that improve throughout the event such as the players casino from Burns casino event. Thank up sincerely from the bottom of my heart for providing a beautiful platform for the greatest game ever made.

It’s always worth doing that as it usually fixes the issue. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked for me this time. I have reset my tablet as well but no luck. It still just stays loading on the splash screen. The other two or three games I have all use the internet and are working fine. Very strange.
The main thing I find is a lot of events give out decorations that do nothing or something building that also do nothing. I thought the prize where it is barts moon walk thing would have some quest but there is nothing. Then the events give out tokens which give out old premium content. The thing is that they are not adding new content except premium content at 150 donuts.
Yep… it does feel like they have a bunch of art done…and just randomly are pouring out the junk drawer to fill out the episode.
I think there may be a server issue. I tap the game and it just sits loading. It doesn’t even get as far as showing my login info. My internet is fine as I have just finished playing my other game. I play on Android in the UK.
Last time I had that problem I cleared the app cache and it worked again (but had to download some content)
1. Roads to Riches – will there ever be more prizes?
2. Does anyone visit friends towns anymore? No reason to – add more prizes or reasons to in events
3. Fix the sounds – I have music and effects muted but can still here some sounds depending on where I scroll in my town. Water running, bats, maybe something else?
4. More Heights! It has different currency, add more land and tasks – it will slow down the players (for at least a few days!)
5. Bring back an old event – there are plenty to choose from
6. Community prizes for events – bring them back and make them hard to achieve

Sometimes I’m afraid of giving EA creative ideas because I fear it’ll just create more glitches or a poor execution.
Like: (going to exclude the other stuff you and others suggested, even if they are a bigger priority). [Letter not by priority, it’s just for referencing]
A. Town Hall Census, improvements. A way type or select the first 2 letters of the character’s name we want to search for instead of scrolling on and on.
B. New daily tasks, utilizing other unused buildings in your town.
C. A way to confine characters (such as themed Non-Canon characters with invisible fencing or even the actual fencing!
D. new Friend Level prizes or inventive to visit neighbors or task to tap certain building(s) they have.
E. Update Character Collections or at least a way to search the incomplete lists faster.
F. A way to store percentage producing items or even characters and building yet still getting a portion of the bonus or income.
G. The more skins a character has the more bonus they get. (Which will help with the people who don’t like to collect them still find a benefit to do so)
H. (A continuation of “G”) that the character who has other skins, gets to keep the same bonus as best premium skin that has been collected (because let’s be honest, most people will typically use the skin with the best payout even if they hate the skin itself and prefer the original character look or another skin they have)
I. Similar to the invisible/actually-working-fencing Idea, what about a characters travel path? Like a monorail line for a single character to follow and return to at the end, letting characters to cross paths as it is not a physical barrier [I know that sounds complicated and not something people may be demanding, but something that has crossed my mind a few times]
J. How about instead of “here is the event and what it’s all about” let us the fans and players vote on some options that could be lined up.. like some sorta democracy.
K. A new yearbook
L. How about a way for us to make our own characters, even if it is just one called “You”/“Me” that would be pretty cool.
Yeah yeah there are better requests out there, and I know some of the requests I made might be unfeasible, but just thought I’d release those thoughts out in the universe and see how Patric has to handle the reply’s 😅

C is such a good idea. I would love Frink’s dog to stay in his yard, the dinosaur to stay in my dinosaur related area etc. That would be a great addition. Part of the overall design of an area include characters locked in.

I personally like skins, but the more tertiary the character, the better. I like that this skin was for such a side character and not just Homer or Lisa again. I also like it when the skins fill in hour tasks blocks that may have been missing from the normal task list because of joint tasks or something.
That’s the problem – it’s turned off but two or three elements still play their sounds!

6. Let us buy land expansions with coin instead of tokens. Something to spending extra cash on.
I ONLY know what day it is (Friday), because I don’t have to work tomorrow (Saturday) or the next (Sunday) … I will resume Tapping the day after Act 3 starts (Monday), but today I am thankful to make it home to the Wife & 🐈’s Covid-19 free (mask + gloves + sanitizer + a wide space from humans + curbside pickup of groceries). 😊👌🏻

I’m beginning to suspect that EA Bob (or Babs) is merely a programmed Bot, while EA places a majority of it’s Staff on the new Games to debut in 2020 (Madden NFL 21, Star Wars: Squadrons, Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, Rocket Arena) …. surprised? no, but I share every Tapper who’s disappointed because this Game App needs changes (thanks Patric for going over them):
_Event Formats are redundant / Needs to be changed
_Increase Item Limits / Make More Land available
_No more Character Skins / No more Variant Characters / Needs New Characters (some Voiced please)

I started playing way back in 2013, took a long absence – dipped back in again in 2018, left again – and started again earlier this year. ..I’ve missed a tone of content and would like to see the following:
1. Monorail – another chance to win extra stations and content.
2. Classic events brought back for players who missed them – like stonecutters, the casino event etc. – I see tonnes of cool things in other players towns which I will never have access to
3. This sadly goes against Pat but I actually could do with more access to donuts.! – please EA do not change anything in regards to the KEM’s. I have a low 440% anyway so my yield is about 30 donuts per day. I am working on improving my bonus % but it’s such a slog – if KEM farming were to be made even harder I’d go ahead and quit all together. If anything make donuts and cash easier for new-to-moderate players as an incentive to keep playing.
4. Road to riches – mirroring what everyone else has said – where is the next task?
5. Springfield heights expansion – again, mirroring what others have said. It would be great to have more land and content up there.
6. Totally agree with Pat – the events need spicing up. The prizes in this event are particularly terrible. Decorations and skins are boring. Characters and buildings are much better. Also tired of the 4 hour cycle. Old events like the wacking day event or who shot mr burns were so much better.
7. Friends towns – add at least a higher chance of getting donuts and more cash to incentive this long-deprived feature. By doing so, this may resolve my earlier gripe about certain players having to grind for donuts/cash.
8. Inventory space – I haven’t hit this yet but I’m sure dreading it. We need freedom to be creative after all.

Need more land. It’s about time to expand Springfield Heights. Could be an event even. New type of currency needed to unlock the new land there. Or a water event…again giving us more “land” in the form of water. Things are starting to get tight in my town. Even my Squidport is getting tight.
Maybe Safi can collect all the ideas and do one of his playoffs, EA seems to pay attention to those.
Or Safi could forward this to EA via their Social Networks (use a Bot to bombard daily!) 😀👌🏻
This forum (and comment sections) has long given a list of ways to improve the game. What makes you think anything has changed?
What really gets me is that you are still KEM farming for donuts. It seems like years since I last built a KEM for farming purposes. Replace what KEMs you do have with bonus generating items. Then use GOD. Then get your donuts making RatTrapTrucks. Item limit problem?: replace the smaller bonus items (white fences) with larger ones (whales).
6. How about another Road to Riches task? Talk about an enduring Under Construction sign! Sheesh.
I really want them to make a trading post for junk you can’t sell. Get rid of 50 dead trees, or outdoor toilets, or whatever and swap them out for something else. Anything else.

I also think there should be more flexibility in how the inventory is organised, for example the decorations category in my inventory has hundreds of different items from various events all thrown in together and only accessible by going through all objects in succession.
A search feature, perhaps?

I agree with just about everything you’re trying to get answers too..except the skins. I agree, and prefer to get new characters, but I like the skins to. The masks…I happen to still feel it should be up to the individual…DEPENDING on the area. I live in a small town, approximately 4000ish. Not one case. The entire Aroostook County of the state of Maine has had 10 cases. All recovered…an 80yr old did pass. Some of our cashiers at the grocery stores have stopped wearing masks. The most basic of doctors appointments were kept. Daily life hardly changed at all…except for the closures. 10 cases….probably all out of county people…darn Hipaa. So yea…if I hear of cases starting in town..or in the 4 closest towns….then I’ll start wearing them. Is that acceptable to you? Or should you’re opinion make our entire town start wearing masks?…I would say that in this small town, maybe 20-25 percent wear masks.
I agree with a county by county policy…except when it fails. You are blessed by being somewhere others don’t want to go. Not a slam…but much like many counties in Oregon. But, in Cali, and several other states, some counties have seen an increase, because people from outside of their area have been coming in.
For me…it is more of a “I’m happy to be inconvenienced…because I might be a carrier and not know it…and I am protecting you.
True…a place no one wants to go. If they came, they’d never leave. Beautiful scenery, clean air, virtually no crime. Friendly people…a 5 minunte walk/jog to Canada..in case of emergency. Virtually no pollution, keys left in cars without a second thought. Waterways, skiing,fishing, mountain climbing, hiking… and no coronavirus, yet no one wants to come here?..Oh well…that’s fine with me.
Aroostook County is approximately 7000 square miles with a population of only approximately 72000 people. Northern Aroostook County…the Allagash…is very sparsely populated, and a county wide mandate would fall on deaf ears. Game wardens, border patrol, police…wouldn’t even wear masks. It’s a different world up here.
Well yes… until it isn’t. If you watch those shows, the Zombies always go after the rural places first. Let’s be honest about it…most people live in rural areas, because they don’t like city folk telling them what to do.
Just want to add a couple of thoughts. EA please, PLEASE, allow me to delete things I have in storage that I hate. I will never use anything from clone wars, but I’m stuck with it forever. Is there anyone who isn’t nuts whenever they see the dreaded words: “Oh no you can’t delete that?”. Biggest wish would be a search bar so I don’t have to go through multiple screens in inventory to either find what I want or then have to do is all again for another item. Just enough for now

Well I love your attitude man!! I also like the cartoon strip, brilliant, think I will copy and paste your questions and stuck it to the man!!! Bob’s his name, in a game compliant, time for some serious action, actually tried that with a complaint a few months ago and got a reply asking if I need any more help and to give feedback on there response, cheesh, losing the plot.
I’m gonna hunt the sucker down… it’s been too long of the “same old,” and if people are actually using the game as a “diversion from real life,” they need more of a diversion.
