Last week, a brand-new mini-event started up in our towns! (as long as you’ve downloaded the update)
And with it came a whole new giant area of land in Springfield Heights. But how do you obtain the land?
More details below the fold…
Disclaimer: I have an all day meeting today from 9am to 4pm Eastern and then a cross country flight from 6pm to 11pm Eastern tonight. So I’m just providing the basic details to get started on prospecting land in this post. Also, my flight doesn’t have wifi, so comments this evening will be approved after I land after 8pm Pacific tonight.
After you complete the main mini-event prize track, you will be able to unlock the new land. It starts with a two part Brave New World questline that can utilize Homer, Moe, Chief Wiggum, Connie Appleseed, and Cookie (new premium).
Once you complete this, the bridge is complete and you have access to the Prospector’s Shack.
1) First you have to collect Prospector’s Maps. You get 1 Prospector Map from the Prospector’s Shack every 8 hours. Those who paid real money for 900 donuts and got Jackpot Realty as part of the Black Friday Prize Track will earn an additional 5 Prospector Maps every day. Everyone is given 10 Prospector Maps to start with.
2) Once you have 3 Prospector Maps, you can send one of five characters (Homer, Moe, Chief Wiggum, Connie Appleseed, or new premium Cookie) to ‘Prospect the New Frontier for an 8 hour task to earn a Land Deed.
3) You can use these Land Deeds to purchase new land tiles. If you decide to collect the Land Deeds, you can store up to 50 Land Deeds. Once you have 50 Land Deeds, you have to start using them before you can earn more.

I know the post is not as detailed as Alissa’s, but I actually will be traveling across the country today on a flight that doesn’t have wifi, so will not be able to approve comments as quickly as usual. That’s the best I can do – the basic details on the new land you can prospect in (and after) Northward Bound! Welcome to the North!

Awh shucks, you have to collect the Prospector Map before it starts another one and there isn’t an app notification when it’s complete.
Another glitch. I tried to move the shack and now I have two of them. One doesn’t show anything when you tap on it and doesn’t have the prospector stuff hovering over it.
Seven Helps. This is starting to get a bit mind boggling.

I got the land open last night then bought the lot for sprinkles to confirm the following . . .
It unlocks all 25 rows to the top of the map.
Each row is 6 Tiles wide but you get one free in the first row.
For the first 4 rows Tiles cost 1 Deed. They go up a Deed per Tile every 4 rows until the 25th row where they’re 7 Deeds each.
That’s 149 Tiles for a total of 545 Deeds ( plus the free one ).
To buy all of them with donuts is 8,175 Ds
( started with 32,175 – ended with 24,000 – not a coincidence on the start amount to make the comparison easy, I’d done the math first 😊 )
NOTE – I didn’t wait to turn the 10 starting Maps into 3 Deeds, which would save 45 Ds – Each Deed can be bought for 15 Ds. That’s Deeds, not Tiles – the 7 Deeds Tiles are 105 sprinkles each !!
I have updated my game but I don’t have the event I’m not sure why? I have the failed cities one where you have to collect wagon wheels is that part of it
Yes, you have to complete this before you unlock new land.
Any one else got a double-up glitch on their first land tile? I stored the buffalo but it did not disappear so I tried again and this time it did. It did the same for the donut vein and trees and ended up with 2 of each in my inventory! Only problem was Homer and Wiggum were propecting around it so it ended their task! Doh!

There appeared to be 3 of everything, including the shack on the first few rows of land tiles, so when clicking on the doughnut veins I got 3 payouts.
Did you manage to keep all you mined ??
I suspect the doubles I had in the first 15 rows decided they didn’t count ’cause when I mined I went from 24,000 to 26,530 – 2,530 extras – but when I did a sync it dropped back to 25,595 – losing 935 Ds.
An extra 90 veins and an average just under 11 a vein seems like it lost all those but left the other 150 veins’ worth ?!?
I’m going to be rushing buying the land and then mining in my other town soon, and I’ll do a sync as I go, probably once a row. We’ll see . . .
Yeah did the same in that town too. Loads of duplicates but once I got so far it wouldn’t save them after mining – grrrrrr !!
That still got me 1,593 lovely sprinkles though, better then nowt 😊
How do you make the new land usable? Clear it of buffalo and trees?

My bridge hasn’t repaired itself, only 1 railing. Is this correct?
Once use buy a plot of land, how do you clear it of trees etc?

How do I make maps?
You collect one every eight hours from the prospector shack. Once you have three of them, you can then send one character on an eight hour task to make one Land Deed.
If you purchased 900 donuts, you will get jackpot realty, which will also earn five Maps every payout, thus accelerating your Maps accumulation and letting you send more characters for Land Deeds every day.
I’m confused how to earn deeds. I thought I could put my people to work get them out and buy a piece of land. So I can’t put my people to work? Please I need help😩
Have you collected three Maps every eight hours from the prospector shack? Once you have three Maps, you can then send one character on an eight hour task to collect one Land Deed.
24 hours to get 3 maps, another 8 to earn a deed and the land squares am on need 4 deeds that a lot of hours for 1 land tile.
24 hrs + 8 =32hrs x 4 =128hrs for I piece of land.
Rat truck x 20 = 60+ Donuts = 5 minutes
Well not to be nit picky, but technically it would only be 32 hours for the first piece of land. Subsequently it would only be 24 hours, because while you are earning the Land Deed for 8 hours, you are also simultaneously earning the first map for the subsequent land tile.
This is the photo of a level 838 player on my friend visit list…and there is a massive expansion on the Springfield Heights side which has been there for years. Now the bridge and river have cut the city in two.

The joys of hacking your game…
I think I have bought about half of the new land and gained about a 1000 donuts or more due to the rich veins I had, I received about 5 x 100 donuts. I am now on the 60 donut land tiles with very little donuts coming of the veins and slow going with the deeds and maps so will be buying most of the land with donuts I think unless ea speeds thing up. Going good so far.
Wish that I could play it still but I cannot remember word and I don’t have the email anymore that I used for it many years ago.

Is the land going to be available even after this even is over? I only have 4000 donuts and I’m wondering if I should spend them to get more land or slowly trudge trough

I’ve repaired the bridge, I have 3 land deeds, but the new land isn’t available. Is this happening to any else?

So far I’m at the exact same place..no Land available and I should have 3 deeds from the quest line
We spent somewhere around net 7000 doughnuts to get all the land. The highest number was 7 vice 6. It hardly made a dent in our 125,000 doughnut stash. Nice to finally have something to spend them on. Still over 118,000 left though.

Thank you for an awesome and detailed post (any Tapper should comprehend it, but please be aware when you complete the Mini Event to where the Questline Tutorial for the Shack starts? please pay attention or Tap that ❓ and you will get a refresh on ‘how to’).
Don’t be shy, we are all helping each other ‘how to’ , there is no right or wrong way to play this Game App (play for free, use 🍩’s, use real 💵). Your main goal is to complete the Mini Event …. once that’s accomplished? You get the Shack tutorial, and however you choose to unlock New Land Tiles it’s up to you – but you don’t have to rush through it (take your time, the ability to unlock New Land Tiles isn’t going to leave the Game App).

I spent about 4000 donuts and I got almost all the land except for 6 tiles. It ends up that you have to pay 1, 2,3,4,6 for the tiles the more you advance. No higher than 6. The production of land title was going to be excruciatingly slow. You need 90 donuts if I remember correctly for the 6 deeds tiles. I am soooo happy with the extra land. Ohhhhh good god that’s exactly what I was afraid of… It was already going to take its sweet time the normal way when it wants 1 deed per tile thanks to the whole 24hr/3 maps piece just to send someone on the 8 hour task to get said deed… At least 6 isn’t horrifyingly bad, but it’s not good either. There’s keeping the gains slow, and then there’s what this is threatening to become.
It’s 7 on the last strip
With 50 maps banked you must use them to expand the land. Each extension will offer a rock mound that can be converted into donuts .
Once you begin to release land you can also use donuts in lieu of maps to open new territory.
The further you open up the cost in maps per tile increases from 1 to 2 per tile
Once you have spent the 50 you can start again to either gather 1 or 2 maps of bank upto 50 to open up larger expanses of territory
Any idea if Jackpot Realty will be available for individual purchase , without having to do the Black Friday quests?
Not this year. Maybe in the future. But people had to wait a long time for Golden Goose Realty to become available. It might be a few years before it comes back.
I was going to ask about the Golden Goose Realty. Mine stopped paying out with land tiles awhile back. And has been paying out with in game cash. I still have about 100 unused tiles.
Anyway, will it revert to making land tiles or just keep paying out cash ? I’ve got a feeling that it won’t. 😠 Please tell me I’m wrong.LOL

Unfortunately you are not wrong. It will continue to payout in game cash.
Getting maps is not allowing me to send anyone on the tasks – not really bothered since have used farmed donuts to buy the land. At the start of buying land the number of free donuts was more than the cost of the land.

As a long time Tapper who’s got over 8,000 🍩’s …. it was nice to play along with the tutorial for the Shack (obtain 3 Maps, use those to send 1 Character to obtain 1 Land Deed, use 1 Deed to unlock New Land Tile) … then I concluded it was easier to skip all of that and just spend the sprinkles (15, 30, 45 – I stopped where it’s 60 🍩’s per Land Tile).
I’m grateful for the Land Expansion
I chose to only unlock the Land necessary
I easily have half of that New Area to unlock
I’m in no hurry to unlock everything
It’s great that Tappers can play the TSTO Game App anyway they like – for free, with 🍩’s, with real 💵 – and it sounds like you still find a way to keep it fun (it’s nice when you get rewarded with a good supply of 🍩’s in each Land Tile). 😀👍🏻

Gosh I don’t even think I’m halfway through … and I easily unlocked 36 New Land Tiles (there are 6 Land Tiles in each Row, the deeper you go the more 🍩’s – or Land Deeds – it costs).
Once you have reached 50 land deeds… it will turn red.. BUT.. you can still collect land deeds and it will roll over … once you use up the 50 deeds. you will have the extra deeds in the count.
As for the Maps.. I went over 150 as you can collect as many as you want.. didn’t seem to be a limit.
Safi, that’s a pretty good detailed explanation of how things have to get done to get the land.

Land will be 1 deed for the first 2 or 3 rows.. 6 plots in each row.. then it will be 2 deeds.. then got to 3 for a few rows, and up to 7 deeds for the last row.
Love the mining… you can earn anywhere from 3 to 100 donuts. but there is only 1 mining rock that has the 100 ..
If one decides to rush and pay donuts to rush … it will cost you around 7000 donuts to complete and get all the land parcels.
Is the 7000 to rush the earning of deeds or to just buy the land outright? I’m thinking it costs less to do the latter than to rush the shack and the characters, but I haven’t really fully done the math.
Buying all of the Land Tiles = 7000 🍩’s
The cost per 🍩’s increases with each Row the deeper you go.
There are 6 Land Tiles in 1 Row, so for example the 1st Row of 6 Land Tiles was 15 🍩’s each (6 x 15 = 90).
It’s cheaper to rush the realty company and characters prospecting.
1 rush of 12 donuts gives 5 maps.
So 3 rushes at 36 donuts gives 15.
This is enough for 5 deeds to be created, rushing with 20 donuts,
5 deeds tiles go for 75 donuts, vs 56 for a “grind rush.”
What’s the maths on rushing the maps and deeds to get land rather than buying the land with Donuts.

It costs 6 🍩’s per Character to expedite their Task obtaining that Deed to unlock a New Land Tile (1 Land Deed per Land Tile in the 1st Row of 6, but that amount goes up the deeper you go whether you use Deeds or 🍩’s).

the Bridge can not be moved, but you can place monorail track over the water with special Track available for 🍩’s

Is there a limit on stored Prospector Maps?
Looks like a few months of dedicated effort to unlock land the slow way.
Also weirdly, I’ve gone through the quest and fixed the bridge, but there is a display glitch where it’s shown broken again, even after restart and reboot.
Not on Maps that I’m aware of. Just on Land Deeds (50).
If someone gets to 150 Maps (amount needed for 50 Land Deeds), can you please let the community know if you can go over 150?
I have the same problem, all quests are finished but the bridge still looks damaged.
