It was six years ago, just after the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs bracket was complete that I thought it might be cool to do a The Simpsons Tapped Out bracket. Here we are six years later, and it’s time for our seventh TSTO Addicts Bracket Battle!
How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. It is equally debatable how long The Simpsons will keep going. But what isn’t debatable is that there have been A LOT of incredible seasons of The Simpsons. 32 in fact. But which of the 32 seasons has truly been the best? With that in mind, we present to you TSTO Addicts’ The Best Season of The Simpsons Bracket Battle.
Homer’s looking for a new bar in Springfield! Ready to drink around Springfield with Homer J?! Well, this is the mini-event for you! Yes, it’s mini-event time in our pocket-sized towns, as Tavern Trouble makes its way to our games. Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Harv Bannister and Tipsy McStagger’s to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this hot spot combo to your town…
Your senses can evoke powerful memories in you. The smell of saltwater can trigger you back to your youth spent at the beach, the touch of cotton can bring you back to memories of your mom, and hearing sounds of TSTO can bring back countless hours spent tap, tap, tapping away.
So let’s take a trip down memory lane via the sound effects of TSTO…
Yesterday, an app store update hit our games to remove the Springfield Enlightened Event. And, today a brand-new mini-event started up in our towns! (as long as you’ve downloaded the update) I will admit, this caught me completely off guard. I was expecting a week off…and honestly looking forward to one…but EA (as usual) had other plans in store for us!
As a little inside TSTO baseball: I will say, thinking about it, this does totally make sense to start up now. You’ve got this 2-week mini-event, which ends July 28th, then a week off and a 5-week major event likely to start on August 4th. That will likely run until Sept. 8th…and that’ll give you a week off, followed by a two-week mini-event, and another week off followed by Halloween starting around October 6th. Of course, this is just my suspicion…and it lines up well for this…but we’ll see what EA actually does.
Anyway…running through the game files now, I’ll be back in a bit with more info on this post once I have it. For now know that you’ll need Homer and Moe free to run 6s tasks, which will trigger the prize track and new items in your store. At that point you’ll need the Barflies free to do the mini-event currency earning tasks.
As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we sometimes find ourselves forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. From time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU.
So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in-game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small, and brag about it to the world. We want you to! Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.
It’s time for our final Springfield Enlightened Prize Post! Woohoo!
Act 4 of the Springfield Enlightened event consists of 1 new building, 2 new decorations, 1 animated task for Lisa, and one new full character.
So let’s take a look at the final prizes on the Act 4 Prize Track: the Royal Tower, Lisa Reach Enlightenment, the Salt Mandala, and the Enlightenment Fountain (Queen Guatama, a full character, was the first prize on this track and we broke her down here)…
Just a reminder that the Springfield Enlightenment Event Ends TOMORROW July 14th.
Hopefully, you’ve all reached true Enlightenment, as we move onto something new in Springfield!
As far as questlines go, what’s happened in the past is that the current prize you’re working on (on any questline) you were able to finish. Once that current prize was completed then the questline disappeared.
This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.
Are you ready to reach true enlightenment? Feel an inner peace you may have been missing in your life? Inner peace might be nice after the Robots tried to destroy Springfield… Get ready as Siddmartha comes to Springfield to bring us all a little calmness in the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns…Springfield Enlightened!
Act 4 of this Enlightened event has ushered in one new premium character to help navigate our way to true enlightenment. The Dalai Lama is an all-new premium character for Springfield, who will not only help earn event currency but also comes with a questline.
So let’s take a look at the questline for The Dalai Lama. Here are the full dialogue questlines for Lama Drama Ding Dong…
