Well hello again friends! Came back for the second part of the Thanksgiving Balloons, eh? Well, thanks for stopping by. As promised, Part Two of this where did those come from covers the Poochie and Stampy Balloons. Let’s get right into it, shall we?
Hey hey hey Tapperinos! Wookiee here for more origin story fun and no I’m not here to discuss server issues. For Thanksgiving, EA brought back the parade balloons from 2012 AND added a few more.
Once upon a time in TSTO land, we did not have Krustyland and there were no pets running around the town. For Thanksgiving 2012, EA remedied this by providing us with balloon versions of Santa’s Little Helper, Snowball 2, Itchy & Scratchy and Blinky. It’s my opinion that we got these to calm the clamor for some of the more popular characters in the game. Of course, SLH joined the fun during Christmas 2012 and the fight and bight duo appeared like crazy with the Krustyland expansion.
When I think of parade balloons in the Simpsons, I have to go back to this little bit of dialogue between Homer and Bart in Bart vs. Thanksgiving (S2, Ep. 7). Bart has no clue who Rocky or Underdog are in the Thanksgiving Day Parade and states:
Bart: Well, I know it wouldn’t hurt them to use some cartoons made in the last 50 years.
Homer: Son, this is a tradition. If you start building a balloon for every flash in the pan cartoon character, you’ll turn the parade in to a farce.
Well I’ve finally succeeded in keeping Bunny in the basement this week, don’t worry I took away her matches! Bunnies really can’t be trusted with matches….
Anywho…what a week here at Addicts! So many great posts from the Addicts team this week and in case you missed any of them, here’s your chance to catch up! Continue reading →
With all of the new Thanksgiving premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Enjoying gambling? You didn’t mortgage your home did you? Put your kids up as collateral? YOU DID??!!! Well…ummm…you may need more than just our Addicts Anon class then. 😛
Well Bunny is back again…or am I front…or off to the side? I am HERE to tell you about that cool new building EA gifted us with for the Turkey Day event. Caesar’s Pow-Wow Casino. Just where in the Simpsons world is it?
Back with another Thanksgiving Event Walkthrough! This time we’re going to look at the Premium Quest that unlocks when you purchase Caesar’s Pow-Wow Casino. We’ve already brought you the Turbo Tappin’ version of this walkthrough and now it’s time for the full dialogue walkthrough!
The walkthrough starts after you’ve purchase the casino and unlocked the Tribal Chief character…. New Character Unlock! Continue reading →
Thanksgiving has arrived in Springfield! This Limited-Time event will only be around a short while (we’re guessing it’ll be gone by December 1st), so make sure you get those Limited-Timedecorations and buildings while they’re still around! For a little extra incentive let’s take a look at how the new additions to Tapped Out will impact your Conform-O-Meter.
The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game. When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town. If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.
While the Thanksgiving event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring us a ton of new items to add to our Springfield. Let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:

*Note: We believe the Mayflower is not a limited-time item.
Because it is a very decoration heavy event, just about every item impacts your vanity rating. However, the Indian Casino will impact your Consumerism Rating (one of the hardest to max out in the game). It’s always nice to have a NEW building to impact Consumerism!

We’ve already brought you the Turbo Tappin’ version of the Thanksgiving Event and now it’s time for the full dialogue walkthrough!
The walkthrough starts with the unlocking of Lisa’s Sacagawea costume and continues with Lisa’s quest for a Turkeyless Thanksgiving! Some really funny moments in this quest, hope you all enjoy it!
The Thanksgiving update will auto-start for you with a dialogue between Lisa and Homer. Here’s the dialogue: Homer: What’s this weird paper stuff in the mailbox? Lisa:It’s called “mail.” Homer:You mean they invented a paper version of electronic mail? Science is amazing! Ooh! A big “mail”! Maybe it’s full of more “paper”. Lisa:It’s a Sacagawea costume I ordered. I saved up all my Sacagawea dollars to pay for it. Homer:Honey, the dollar doesn’t have Sacawhoever on it. It has George Washington, the inventor of money. Lisa:I wanted to dress up as Sacagawea to celebrate the rich cultural history of Thanksgiving. Homer:A white girl dressing up like a native American? I don’t know, that sounds a little racist to me. Lisa:Just give me the costume.
New Costume Unlock! After tapping on Sacagawea Lisa
Lisa will have to be free at this point in order to start the main quest. Lisa starts the next part. Again just dialogue, no actual quests just yet. Continue reading →
Thanksgiving has arrived in Springfield! But, with all of the new Thanksgiving premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Indian Casino to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this combo to your Springfield.
Character & Building: Tribal Chief & Caesar’s Pow-Wow Indian Casino Donut Price: 150 donuts Pros:
-Comes with it’s own 10 part questline
-Adds 10 points to your consumerism rating
-Chief will earn premium rates in cash and XP for all jobs
-Something new and different to add to your Springfield
-Voiced, but not really. Mostly just “hmm” and grunts.
-Chief will use the Casino for tasks once the main quest is complete
-Building makes Slot Machine Noises when tapped
Cons: -Pricey. At 150 donuts he’s not the most expensive character and building combo (heck Disco Stu was 180 donuts), but it’s still a high price. -No character interaction after main questline is complete
Final Thought:
Personally, I think the Indian Casino is a good buy. It’s got a lot of features to it that make it a nice addition to Springfield AND it’s something different in your town (makes a nice addition along the beach front). If you have the donuts I say go for it, but if you’re a little hesitate I can understand you wanting to wait just a bit. Just remember this is a LIMITED-TIME item and once it’s gone, it’s gone…so be sure to get it before the event is over if you’re thinking about it.
