UPDATE ON SERVERS: Hey Tappers…just real quick. The Origin servers are going CRAZY with the update and everyone downloading it. So you’ll see a lot of Bart Screens as it attempts to reconnect to the server (keeps happening to me on ALL devices). Just be patient and keep retrying. It will let you back in. 🙂

The Valentine’s Update is live on iOS (Version 4.7.1)! So be sure to login to iTunes to download the update! 
Android users the update is live for you now too! However, in both my Tablet and my phone I didn’t see the new graphic or info on the update screen. It still showed the old graphic like this:
We’re seeing a lot of comments about Level Rollback issues caused with this update….it happened to me on my B game as well (I started it with my iPad). If you’re experiencing Level Rollback issues refer to this post about Level 38 Rollback glitches other Tappers experienced when level 38 launched initially.
Incidentally I started my A game on my GS4 Android phone and no rollback issues.

Origin Changes!! (I know how much you guys love those!) We’ll do a full post on this shortly BUT just wanted to show you a few changes to Origin that I think are pretty cool!
The first you’ll notice (on iOS and Android) right at the login screen. It looks different now…it’s pretty 🙂 Here’s what mine looks like:
Next change is on your friends screen. Now you can actually see all of your friends on 1 Origin screen broken up into categories:
You’ll notice you can also log in with Facebook (although i’ve been doing this for a while now) and see your Facebook Friends that play TSTO!
Finally…the last BIG change is….THEY BROUGHT BACK UNFRIENDING SOMEONE TO THE GAME ITSELF! Woo-Hoo! Now you can delete lazy neighbor-eenos right from TSTO…Sweet! In addition you can also Tap on a friend to see how often they play and when they last logged on to TSTO:
OH and I forgot to mention….Your friends are now in Alphabetical Order! How sweet is that?!

Is there any personal and community prizes like Christmas and Halloween?
Not that I have seen so far. Looks like just the Wheel for now. Still looking in the files. There are a few things that I have not quite figured out when and if they will hit. So far…no community other than valentines for hearts exchanging.
I had 30 days left to try and take advantage of the corn glitch and was disappointed at first that all my waiting was for naught. But low and behold when I went to the farm everything looked glitchy (corn was quickly cycling through its gripe images). When I clicked on the farm menu corn harvested and I received all the xp and money. So even though I will have to start over with the corn, which is a bummer, I am glad I didn’t waste all that time and get nothing for it. I WOULD HAVE BEEN REALLY UPSET IF I HAD TO SORT THE CORN COMPLETELY TO START THE VD EVENT!
Same thing happened to me which was awesome!

Essentially, you planted corn once and your neighbors can endlessly tap it stacking handshakes and giving you TONS of $$$ and XP. Word of warning though…this update uses the farm a LOT. So really hard to use this glitch with this event.
What the corn?! Awesomeness for me after the update! I planted corn 2 days ago and today when the Valentines Roses quest started, it automatically bumped my corn to completion and gave me all the $$ and XP to go with it! Woohoo! So I can just replant it later and only be a couple days behind. Does anyone know if that also happens if you plant corn then start a “Crop Share” quest? Like, does hitting the “Do it!” button to start growing something else when you already have corn growing make the corn go away and give you all its money and XP?
P.S. I reeeally want that whale!
It’s pretty sweet huh? It happened to me too I was so happy I didn’t have to store and cancel the corn!
I guess EA realized a lynch mob would storm the castle if they forced millions of players to lose their corn crops. Good on EA part to think about that one. I haven’t had a chance to see if any other “questline” triggers that same.

Is there a spin wheel? Can’t seem to find it.
Once you complete the task of planting and harvesting the roses at Cletus’ Farm (24hrs) the next leg of the quest will kick off and start all the Event goodies…like the wheel. You will know when you hit part 2 of the quest due to a lil mini wheel with a heart icon and a number on it will appear in your top right hand corner of the screen (the number means how many spins you have earned). Once it is there, it is just a matter of clicking on it to access and spin the wheel. 😉
You’ll have to work your way through the first part of the update and grow the Rosebush to unlock it 🙂
The roses just went from a 12 hr to a 24 hr task. LAME. 🙁 Patience is not a virtue I have in spades. 🙁
EA oopsed on a few things. It was supposed to be 24 hrs. They are correcting issues as they go. Sorry. Speed it up with Witch Marge if you have her.
I was rolled back to level 37 as well, but when I logged back in, it went through the updates again and everything is back including two extra donuts for leveling up! Though it looks like I need to go through the quests again, which I won’t yet.
I have a question about the update want to make sure my game isn’t glitched. So far the only update material I have gotten is the quest start to harvest roses. Is the rest of the content going to appear when I finish that 12 hr task? I am so excited to see the new stuff and see the VD wheel (lol), but I am a freemium player and am waiting!
As soon as you harvest those roses…the actual event will kick in. 😉
just thought this would be useful to anyone starting the update. if you have witch marge you can use her to speed up the roses. im down to 20 hours instead of 24. i think i should be able to do it again later today to bring it down to 12 hours.
It is a REALLY great way to speed it up.

You would have had to purchase the cauldron during the Halloween Event to get Witch Marge. Then as she uses her magic on the crops…the time ticks down.

If I play through 37, and I get back to 38, will the stuff become available to me again? Is that what I should do? Because I see no Greenpeace boat to buy or Grocery Store. I’m at Lv 37 with no idea what to do.
Here is a previous post on same issue with last update. Try any and all troubleshooting methods to see if it helps to kick it back to the right level.

I uninstalled and downloaded from the cloud, went BACK to 38, downloaded the update, and now I’m back to 37 again! WTF? I’m so frustrated right now!
🙁 Sorry. Honestly…as annoying as it is…try it a few times. We have one Addicts account so far that we are going through this on as well. We just keep on trying.
the people that are on the wheel already, does that mean they sped up the roses task?
It was only a small handful of donuts to speed it up, yes. Many do this to get the event going right away. Pace yourself…the event has a few weeks. No need to hurry. 😉

Well the update has hit for both my kindle and the bluestacks (google play/android) and the bluestacks is not glitched. But the kindle update is HUGE!! It’s still updating… here’s hoping.

Yep the kindle is glitched, no blimp or greenpeace boat. The roses are 24h on the bluestacks/google (which is not glitched) and 12h on the kindle fire. (which is) go figure.
Oh, and 300 donuts for the whale…really?! 20$ …I think I’ll have to pass on that one. Yikes.
It pays 7% bonus XP & cash. Makes Whale noises. And dives into the ocean when clicked on. Cool to watch…300 donuts OUCH!!!
Well the rollback glitch resolved itself for me, back at lvl 38, all buildings and characters back, with 2 extra donuts to show for it. But now have to do the blimp Homer task (3hrs) again and my XP bar has scaled back to blue and decreased.
I play the game on ios and still no update for me :O
It is an In Market update. Did you check the market?
I saw thanks to addicts that the update was available, went to the App Store and it didn’t say update, but it had the open button where the update/buy button usually is.. I clicked that and it started downloading. See if that works for you?
Ditto…if not, try restarting your device and see if that kicks it in place. I had to restart my android devices.
Ok I was going through my neighbors to get hearts, and it said one of my neighbors had “more updated material” than I did.
Closed the app, reopened, and all of my level 38 stuff is back where it should be (have to make Homer blimp around again).
Also they’ve updated the wheel to be 200 hearts per spin instead of 30 – some people on the EA forum were flying through the wheel and had already almost gotten everything hahaha

Rollback glitch. Give it a minute. Try to restart your device. Basic troubleshooting.
So I lost green peace boats, knigh boat, duff blimp from Super Bowl, grocery shore and court house. Do I need to write EA or do these problems generally get resolved ?
Standard Rollback glitch. Try basic troubleshooting and see if it resolves. It usually comes back after a bit. (Restart your device. Go to the “Other Springfield”. Go To Krustyland. Uninstall/reinstall app)

DONT UPDATE!! I just planted corn before the update, then when I updated I got the the “harvest roses” quest, when I clicked on the harvest roses prompt my corn was automatically done! Try it out
Yah…sadly you HAVE to plant corn in order to make this event launch. 🙁
The glitch was nice while it lasted.
Unlike in the past where new items have been listed at the end of the menu for decorations, for example, in my game, the beach chair is in the middle of the decorations list. So my advice is to look through the whole decorations menu to find the beach chair (which, fwiw, seems only playable on the beach, tho the only other place I’ve tried so far in on a boardwalk tile — makes sense given the name I suppose!).

Yeah, a lot of people are saying that all there level 38 items went missing after updating, I checked my springfield and it’s true, my buildings, characters, and decorations are all missing now
We are seeing it hit a lot of towns…including Addicts towns. Try the standard rollback troubleshooting and Contact EA if needed.
I rolled back to Lv 37, my boat is gone, my grocery is gone. This sucks…contacted EA before I noticed I rolled back…what do we do?
Restart, uninstall reinstall, try to access from another device…collect money…go collect from other town…log out…back to main device. Other than the basics…contact EA. Sorry.
I have updated and my greenpeace boat and knight boat have disappeared? Not sure if anything else is missing yet!

You have to dump it to start the questline. 🙁
You can keep growing, but it will prevent you from moving at all during this event without starting that quest as the main builds and games are linked to it. Sorry.

This update is huge had to delete quite a few apps to make room for it! Still downloading!
The game itself is MASSIVE. I have it on a 32GB external mini SD card on all my devices just to hold it. Lol
Unfortunately I play on an iPad and we can’t upgrade memory. So had to delete a bunch of games I don’t play as often. If it gets to big I will have to switch to my android phone can’t delete my school stuff.

There is a beach chair that is listed in the files. My androids do not have the update yet. I wanted to see it first to confirm if it is the same Brockman uses or an actual new one.
