UPDATE ON SERVERS: Hey Tappers…just real quick. The Origin servers are going CRAZY with the update and everyone downloading it. So you’ll see a lot of Bart Screens as it attempts to reconnect to the server (keeps happening to me on ALL devices). Just be patient and keep retrying. It will let you back in. 🙂

The Valentine’s Update is live on iOS (Version 4.7.1)! So be sure to login to iTunes to download the update! 
Android users the update is live for you now too! However, in both my Tablet and my phone I didn’t see the new graphic or info on the update screen. It still showed the old graphic like this:
We’re seeing a lot of comments about Level Rollback issues caused with this update….it happened to me on my B game as well (I started it with my iPad). If you’re experiencing Level Rollback issues refer to this post about Level 38 Rollback glitches other Tappers experienced when level 38 launched initially.
Incidentally I started my A game on my GS4 Android phone and no rollback issues.

Origin Changes!! (I know how much you guys love those!) We’ll do a full post on this shortly BUT just wanted to show you a few changes to Origin that I think are pretty cool!
The first you’ll notice (on iOS and Android) right at the login screen. It looks different now…it’s pretty 🙂 Here’s what mine looks like:
Next change is on your friends screen. Now you can actually see all of your friends on 1 Origin screen broken up into categories:
You’ll notice you can also log in with Facebook (although i’ve been doing this for a while now) and see your Facebook Friends that play TSTO!
Finally…the last BIG change is….THEY BROUGHT BACK UNFRIENDING SOMEONE TO THE GAME ITSELF! Woo-Hoo! Now you can delete lazy neighbor-eenos right from TSTO…Sweet! In addition you can also Tap on a friend to see how often they play and when they last logged on to TSTO:
OH and I forgot to mention….Your friends are now in Alphabetical Order! How sweet is that?!

So I downloaded the update and at first it told me I didn’t have enough space, so I deleted some stuff and got my phone to about 300 mb free. Did the update, planted the roses and then it told me I didn’t have enough space, tried some other things, same message, finally just un/reinstalled and it installed all the updates but when I try to log in, it tells me “the origin network could not be reached at this time. Please try again later” is this just from the servers crashing or anyone have any idea?
According to the site it is up…but I have had issues for an hour now.

Hmmm, well it still said it so I restarted my device and now it’s just the server issues not even to the point of logging in.Guess iI’ll try later! At least I was able to get the first task started!
I was out…back in again. Had to log out and back in several times. Now playing away until I am booted…again. Lol. I am a persistent furball.
As am I! I was finally able to log in still can do anything beyond that, but Yay for some success!
I lost level 38, the courthouse and my blue haired lawyer. What can I do?
Rollback Glitch. You can check out the link to rollback in the post to get troubleshooting tips. Just the basic standard restart your device. Give it a bit. They have been hitting off n on with the glitch, but coming back after a while.
Waiting for VD and all I get is a sperm whale and a deck chair. I will need some convincing to part with 300 doughnuts. 🙁
Wait til you harvest roses…you will get MORE. I promise. LOTS of VD to go around for all. 😉
My origin name is perfectlawle I only started playing around Christmas and am level 26 I think so I am already way behind most people and don’t have money to buy donuts so being locked out of this update is making me very sad
Don’t worry…you do not need to be on higher levels to get to play the event. It goes for 3 weeks, so still plenty of time to play and have fun. Give the hiccups a lil to clear up. 😉
I already have the update on android, but no chance to login to Origin… I guess I’ll forget about valentine’s for a while and come back later
I really wanted the waterfall
I am using an iPhone 5c I was able to login in once after the first update from the App Store but since then it has update twice more and either takes me back to home screen or give me Bart and a maintaince message but still getting push updates it is frustrating
I keep getting booted too 🙁
LOTS Of players all at once.
The valentines thing started great. All you needed was 30 hearts for a spin. But since the mini update it’s 200 hearts per spin. Thank goodness I already did 12 spins earlier at 30 hearts. Also I got rolled back to 37 and back to 38 again and they’re making me make homer blimp around. I didn’t lose anything like the blimp or valentines items just acquired from the wheel though. But so annoyed at the 200 hearts thing. Only need 3 items to complete for my tunnel of love at least. Thank goodness I got a head start. Happy vday neighboreenos.
Hmm that’s interesting it was 30 on your game. On mine it’s been 200 since the start, and I downloaded with the iOS update.
It was 30 for my first couple spins as well before the dreaded update server crash mess haha

If you’ve lost items, try quitting the game. When I logged back in, not only did I get my items back I also re leveled up from level 38 and got two donuts

Try logging out of your game and log back in. I did this and my items were restored. 🙂
Got the update but can’t get in. Nothing but the Bart screen. It’s killing me!

Another small IOS and Android update just downloaded.
My partner and I are back on Level 38 and got the associated items back, though the tasks require re-doing.
Has anyone lost their duff blimp. Mines has disappeared and it’s not in my inventory?:-(

Ok, so now I’m Lv 37 but all the 38 content is still there. I’m cool with that. As long as my stuff sticks around I don’t care WHAT level I’m at. I hope they fix this glitch. (Oh and my roses are at 24 hrs now)

Update: Logged in, now I’m at the beginning of level 38, when I had already beat it. At least I got all my buildings/decorations back. Not sure if I should just play through the level again or not.
Ugh… at least you can read all the dialogue again. My Level was delayed due to crash issues so I’m still only halfway through.
What do you mean you are at the beginning? Do you mean the level up bonus restarted? (That is normal with updates.)
I mean that I previously completed all of level 38 quests, and now I am at the beginning “Scandalous Spending Pt. 1”, and “The Devil Wears Blue Pt. 1”. I got my courthouse and decorations back, even my blimp back, and it wants me to do the “Blimp in a Blimp” quest again, which I had completed as well. So, should I just go ahead and do all the quests all over again? Or is this something that will be fixed soon?

It is up to you at this point. You can open a ticket with EA and screenshot the issue so you have record and see if it resolves on its own. (and cross fingers they give you “sweet treats” for your hassle.) I also think that contacting EA helps due to they are alerted how far spread the issue is and to what devices are effected. It helps them with the patches.
Wait til you see what happens when you send valentine’s. You start by getting 5 per person you click on (again, the regular 3 per city visited) then if you click enough people, it drops to 3 per person…then 2…I’m not sure if this is a way to slow down some people from achieving early, but it appears counter productive to the “go make friends, this is a social game” aspect of Tapped Out.
They are doing a lot of interesting things with this new event. We will see how well it goes over. Lol
Absolutely. It’s not as much a complaint as an interesting upgrade. I like interesting so hopefully this is good interesting, and not bad interesting lol.

So it looks like (right now at least) the hearts are as follows:
5 hearts per person for 30 people then,
3 hearts per person for 30 people then,
2 hearts per person for 30 people then finally
1 heart per person for 180 people.
That covers 90 friends. I don’t have over 90 friends so someone with over that will have to see if after the 180 you get 0 hearts or not.
I am looking into the files for clarification due to I had it drop after 10 friends…not 30
Sorry, let me clarify. The 30 people is 10 friends. 3 people per city. My bad. It’s 10 friends, 10 friends, 10 friends then 60 friends. Sorry for the confusion.
Hey– I am going to try and see if the “corn” and “SP” glitch will work on the hearts too. After the first round to get things rolling, I wonder if I could get 50 hearts for each Neighbor’s tap??
Interesting…I also am going to try it too. I just have to finish up these questlines first so it wont interfere with my corn crops. Want to make sure I am completely done with the Farm.

I’ve not downloaded the update yet after reading all the glitch comments. I’m level 38 so obviously worried. Should I wait? Not sure what to do… Thanks for any advice 🙂
It is completely up to you. Glitches are the standard. Sadly they have no way of knowing how the content will actually effect each and every device until they launch it. Once it is out…they will try to get patches out ASAP for any issues. Most resolve themselves. Some take a bit more.

I just tried to open my app, I already updated, then it went into an automatic update downloading 200+ things and now every time I try to open it it crashes and goes to my home screen! Any suggestions? HELP! 🙁
Give it a minute…I think the servers are on overload. I am getting Bart screens on ALL devices now.
I hope, because I have too much $$ in this game to never have it load again, lol. Also if I delete the app and reinstall it would I lose everything or is it saved via the origin ID?

The update is slooowly dowloading, I don’t know why but every couple minutes it shows the error screen with Bart holding the cable. I’m on a high broadband WiFi, maybe EA’s servers are getting hot lol
I think they are. I had to restart my phone like 20 times to get it to finally kick in. But I am now back to getting the screen again. I think everyone is all trying at once to play. Lol
After I updated, the game ran fine, started the quest fine, so I leave the game for a bit, and when I come back, it redowloads all of the game data (148 or something) and I let it happen. It tells me that I’m still signefd in, and still Level 38. The splashscreen loads fine, but when I try to open my town, the app crashes. I dont know what to do.

I’m having the worst glitch luck today, I’ll tell you. Now the game just crashes every time I’ve tried to get to into my town, after telling me my other device didn’t save (I only play on one device).
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice, still no luck.
Yah…chock full of glitches. Typical Event start hiccups. I see it hitting iOS worse than other devices. (The “other device didnt save” is a standard pop up we see all the time. I just play now and continue one with no problems.
I can’t play I login tap to continue then closes immediately
Servers are up and down and millions are loading the MASSIVE update. My cell phone took a bit longer than the tablet did, but it eventually returned. Sorry 🙁 Hang in there.
Hi Bunny, I just got the valentines update for android, and it started downloading updates from the beginning 0/250 MB, is this supposed to be happening?
It happens to me all the time. My Tablet did that on two of the last 3 updates. It just depends. No worried. Mine is still running and I am playing just fine. 😉
I’m level 38 and lost nothing on either my iPad or iPhone (same game). The only new things is growing roses and a beach chair. Sounds like I have to wait until the roses finish (23hrs now) before the game really starts for me? Kinda lame. Maybe I’ll have some fun with my neighbour-eenios tonight when they come up for their daily tapping.

Yes, just after the first planting of roses, the actual event will kick off. So you can use Witch Marge if you have her to speed it up or just play at the standard pace and wait 24hrs to start the wheel and valentines collection. 😉

Yeah, my game glitched. Lost everything after level 37. Logged out and back in again and all is fixed. 300 DONUTS FOR THE WHALE???? Yeah, I’ll pass and I’m a completest. That is just gouging us…
