Hey Howdy Hey Heart Breakers!
We’ve been seeing a TON of comments about “what happens next”, so now that the update is 24hrs old, and most of you should have your Rosebush complete, we figured it’s a good time to Turbo Tap Valentine’s Day!
For those of you who don’t know Turbo Tappin’ is our quick version of a walkthrough for the Level/Update/Character where we give you who starts the quest, the task and what you earn. This way you have your quick guide on who to keep free and when. This is great for our fellow Addicts who love to copy and paste the walkthrough into their device for quick reference. Now on with Valentine’s Day! As I mentioned in the initial update post the main quest is called Cards and Read, Marge’s Hair is Blue, but there are some mini quests that pop-up throughout as well. We’ll cover those here as well. The Event kicks off with some dialogue between Homer and Lisa (that should auto-start for you). So let’s get to Turbo Tappin’ shall we?
Note: Some of the side quests outside of Cards Are Read…may appear to you in a different order. However, the Where’s the Love? quest must appear in order to progress to Part 3 of Cards are Read.
Cards Are Read, Marge’s Hair is Blue Pt. 1
Auto-started
Reach Level 6 and Build Cletus’ Farm
Harvest Valentine’s Roses– 24hrs, Earns 50 Hearts & 100XP. Will cost you $1,000.
Goal Complete! Reward: 200 Hearts, 10xp
NOTE: After you’ve completed this, Valentine’s Day will start in your SF and you’ll unlock the decorations in your store. They will not unlock prior to the completion of Part 1.

Goal Complete! Reward: 200 Hearts, 10xp
And with that the main Valentine’s Day quest is complete! All in all just completing the main quest should earn you 1,105 Hearts (Real total is 1,305 Hearts but I’m deducting 200 hearts here for the completion of Part 2..since it will cost you 200 Hearts) or 5 spins (6 if you count the required spin for Part 2). Not to shabby!

Finally finished the quest but still haven’t gotten tunnel of love :/
🙁 well it looks like you still have time to clear the wheel! Since there hasn’t yet been the update EA threatened. 🙂
I got the assignment last week to build Moe’s Tavern, but I wasn’t yet at level 15. Now I am, and I still see the assignment in my task list, but when I try to build it from the buildings screen, it says I need to reach a quest for it. I’m not sure how to get around that – do you know what I’m missing?
I would suggest checking our “walkthrough” section and seeing where you are in the dialog of things. I know it does skip around a bit in the middle. It eventually catches up.

Thanks – I forgot that’s there. I saw on another site that I need to have the church built first and send them to church – at any rate, I got the Moe’s Tavern dialog again and just need to save up money again after committing to the orange house. Guess I’ll have to keep tapping. Darn. 🙂
I finished the Milhouse/Lisa task a few days ago and nothing else happened. Also the icon on the task book won’t go away. That’s not normal right? What should have happed?
The Milhouse chasing Lisa is just that one lil part. I have heard of a few others with it sticking there and not going away. I would say try basic troubleshooting to remove it, if that doesn’t work…either wait to see if it clears itself up or contac EA. Sorry.

I keep getting two or more of the same thing in the wheel of love thing, I have to many pink fences and 2 love gasibos and just want the fountain or something.
Try this little trick. Set the pointer 4 places clockwise from the item you want to land on, then lightly spin the wheel counter clockwise. It’s been working for tappers during this event & it worked over Christmas as well 🙂

My pt6 wouldn’t start. I’m stuck at pt5, even after I had both Homer and Mindy finish their plant shift.Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
If you’ve completed the plant shift for both of them an ! should popup for Homer. If that doesn’t start try storing Madame Chao’s and placing it again. That will store Mindy and hopefully “kick-start” the quest.
Thanks for the suggestion but for now no luck :/ have tried sending both of them to another plant shift but that didnt work either lol … seems like very few people are having this problem so I guess All I can do is wait :/ lol
Hmmm that is odd. Are you sure the task isn’t in your task list on the left side? (are there any rose bushes in that list?) If it still won’t trigger for you your next best bet would be to contact EA…or you can wait it out. 🙂 Good luck!
It IS at the task bar actually. It just shows all 3 tasks ticked (completed) but stays that way lol :/
Hmmm…well one last thing I can think of before contacting EA and that’s to uninstall and reinstall TSTO on your device. There might be a corrupted game file.
I have yet to build the church & the java server. Do you think it’s possible to build Moe’s as soon as the task is prompted, even though the preceding jobs are not done?
I did have many of my tasks and quests skip around, so it is possible. All you can do is try. 😉
I got the prompt to BUILD MOE’s and I’m barely through the Church tasks!

I planted corn a week before valentine update and when the update for valentines came out and i had to plant rosebush the corn was done growing

Sounds like it’s time for some town designing.
This update has been only moderately exciting. After waiting an hour or so for the origin servers to work long enough to get me logged in I find that because of the amount of stuff being brought back from last year plus a few decent spins (no donuts) means I have only one more thing to get to complete the wheel, the fountain.
I’m pretty distressed wondering whether I’ll finish by tomorrow and be bored with the update by actual valentines day or whether I’ll spend the next three weeks tearing my hair out waiting for the fountain.
Still I’m enjoying having some new stuff to look at like a pink cart instead of a blue one and another decorated lamppost…
For me, I started around Whacking Day (as did a lot of Droid users) so I was quite excited to see that I am now able to get the items that I was not able to get last year. 😉

In some neighbours there are suppose to be 3 “available” hearts yet there aren’t any to tap…in a couple I can get one or two but no more. There isn’t even plain old regular $$$ to tap on. What’s up?
There are only specific characters that can be tapped. If many neighbors beat you there, they may all be tapped. No worries, once you tap…you have 24hrs to go back between to get more and see if the neighbor cleared them.
Okay, this has been frustrating. 5 spins so far: 1 lamp post and 4 (count em, 4) flower carts. Also, it’s opened Return to Sender “Make Milhouse follow Lisa”, but Milhouse doesn’t have this task to do in his task list. I haven’t put Lisa on any other job than Read a Book since I’ve been home, so I’m wondering if I need to make her do a longer/indoor job, then Milhouse will be able to follow her. Any help/commiseration is appreciated. Also, still have a couple open friend spots if you want to add me. My handle is crisdoffer870
For the Milhouse quest…BOTH Milhouse and Lisa need to be free as it is a joint task. (He chases, she runs) So make sure they both are free for it to trigger. If you do not see it on his task list, use the icon on your menu task book to see if you can click into it from there.
As for the spins, I irritated Alissa as I got the prize on the first spin that she had tried to get spin after spin.
I just put the trigger in the middle of the icon 4 spots away from the one I wanted. Then spun VERY gently. It may or may not work, but hey…worth a try right? 😉

I’m wondering how to send hearts to neighbors. I can tap on characters that have cards in neighbors but I don’t know if that’s enough to send hearts as well. If I tap on a character after I collect the cards nothing happens. I hope I’m doing it right. :-S
Once you tap on the “Be Mine” over the character’s head, they become available for your neighbors to collect the 2 hearts. Your doing it exactly as you’re supposed to.
Wow! I used the spin trick you gave us and got the last prize I needed to get the tunnel of love. First spin after more than 40 spins of not landing on that prize! Thank you so much Bunny! You are amazing!

Got back on a couple hours ago EST. Newly premium player. Bought Howard’s Flowers for 70 donuts instead of 80. Tappity tappity tap!
I bought some hearts right away and got all of the items. I found one side of the wheel getting hit more so than the other… so I adjusted the starting point to the beginning and end of the 5 or so gifts I already had and this seemed to help get everything else. I now only get 1 heart for the next 180 actions… so I can’t see if anything new will be on the wheel as getting hearts is a slow go now.
Wait so the only thing what this event is, is that your trying to get a tunnel of love. Because the quest gives you hearts, hearts get you to spin the wheel and spinning the wheel enough times will get you the tunnel of love. That is really stupid. Also if you spin something you already got on the wheel do you get that item again or can you only get it once?
Well…in a way…kinda sorta. Lol.
The main decorations you can get again and again and again.
It is more than just a tunnel, there are tons of free decorations you win by spinning. Items you can purchase with in game cash. It is a mini event, so just a lil bit of stuff going on. Still…all in all, a lot of cool items to be had. 😉
I’ve had nothing but problems since the update. I’m having to do level 37 all over again. At least I do when I can get into the game, which is about 1 in 3 attempts. I enjoy this game but this is getting just a little frustrating. 🙁
I know how frustrating it can be! Have you tried contacting EA about the rollback issues? They’re usually good about fixing issues, although sometimes it can take a while, and often award donuts for your trouble!
I’m not to worried about the rollback. It’s only one level and I can easily catch up. It s being locked out that’s annoying. I guess it’s just busy servers or something. Oh well, I guess I’ll just need to be patient. I’ve contacted EA before but by the time they got back to me the problem had resolved itself. 🙂
Well I’m glad you’re ok with it! I hate when my fellow Addicts can’t get into their games…but don’t worry my game is down too. Servers are overloading!
Does anyone know if there is a trick to spinning the wheel so you can decrease your chance of landing on a repeat?
I guess it’s a high volume time again my game is just spinning a donut lol

I am on part 3 and am loving Ned in the heart! I am also a freemium player but had 95 donuts saved and spent a long time debating between getting Brandie or Shauna. I ended up buying a few goldern tickets and got Brandie. She feels more important in the simpsons universe and poor Cletus is lonel, also really excited to start on the 90d tasks of giving birth to other Splunkers. 🙂

Also – do we have to set our characters on outside tasks so our neighbors can send us cards (aka click on them for hearts)? I mean, if we send people to drink at Moe’s (inside) they won’t walking around to be able to given cards, correct? (am I saying this right? I hope this makes sense)
I would think yes, BUT from what I’ve seen I’ve had characters set to inside tasks (Disco Stu was at Church and someone was able to tap him and I still earned a card). So I think you’re safe to play as normal 🙂
What characters can we send on tasks to earn hearts? So far all I see is Milhouse 16hr stare at Lisa (I’m assuming you need Lisa for too?)
Ned can Sing a Valentine’s Ditty (6hrs, 10 Hearts), Marge can go for a Romantic stroll with Homer (5hrs, 10 Hearts) and then Milhouse has the Stare at Lisa (16hrs, 30 Hearts & yes it is a joint task). 🙂
Haven’t seen the Romantic stroll yet but the other two tasks are hilarious! I am definitely screen grabbing shots of Milhouse chasing Lisa. So funny! Thanks Alissa – you guys are so on top of it!

I’m a few hours away from madame chao’s finishing up being built..can’t wait for mindy! I’m only this far since I used 12 donuts to speed up the first rose bush so I could start the main quest..I couldn’t wait! lol

When the update first dropped, spins were stuck at 30 hearts…. Visited a few friends and got to spin seven times before all the server craziness and “fixes,” like adjusting the spins to 200 hearts. Managed to get five wheel items, plus two duplicates. 🙂

anyone else not Receiving valentines from neighbors? i know the update is only 24 hrs old, but i’ve visited all my friends towns and Collected valentines in all towns, even added new friends and Collected in their towns. as of yet i’ve only received one round of 3 valentines from one neighbor. like i said, i know the update is young but still seems weird. by this time during both xmas and halloween i was racking up serious prizes. what gives? are all my neighbors lazy? is this a glitch? do i need to be more patient? should i contact EA? should i get all new friends?
They may be waiting until they finish the Roses before they start to visit neighbors. I’ve been seeing some Tappers getting thrown off of their heart count from tapping because they started collecting before they were prompted to.
And/or they might be dealing with server maintenance issues or rollback glitches. I was unable to get into my town for about 6 hrs yesterday; I ended up restarting my phone, which allowed me to connect but rolled me back to level 37.
Oddly, my experience and level 38 purchases remained unchanged. As soon as I got in, it popped the level up screen, so I went right back to 38. The only real impact I’m seeing is that I am being prompted to repeat the 38, BHL and last Sunday’s Super Bowl quest lines. But if that’s the worst that happened – and I did get two donuts for leveling up again – I consider myself lucky! 🙂
But I’m getting the Bart screen again, so your neighbors might just be unable to visit you right now, and not lazy or slow. That’s why I’m slacking on sharing the love: I’m temporarily exiled from the warm embrace of TSTO. 🙁
