Silly Simpsons: Wookiee-Approved Fan Art

Hey hey hey.

In this current period of TSTO, I’m sure a lot of us are itching for new stuff.  I’m right there with you my friends but as powerless as everyone to do anything about it.  Of course, new stuff doesn’t have to be relegated to digital content.  There’s so much new stuff all over.  In that vein, I thought I’d share some fan art you may have not seen.  Sound good?  Click more if  the answer’s yes.

I love this!  We all know Ralph isn’t always the sharpest tool in the shed and this is exactly what I fear he’s going to do when he inevitably runs with scissors.  I found this image of the Ralph Cut-Out T-Shirt online (www.geekalerts.com) but the good news is it’s still available for purchase at Threadless t-shirts.  Check out all the great Simpsons shirts made by fans here.

A while back I also found this rad image which claimed it was one of the designs not picked by Threadless.  Speaking from just the experience we’ve had here with contests, selections are hard when uber-talented fans use their brain engines but I really love this.  I don’t remember the site I found it on but certainly chime in if you know.

Now that’s a community image.  This image got me remembering another great Homer face made of Simpsons images I saw a little while back.  I happened on this during a random Simpsons ultraweb search during a different lull period.  It’s one of the celebrity optical illusions I found on this website.

I don’t know why but these images made with other pics always make me really happy.  It might have something to do with my semi-ADD brain having lots to squirrel over.

So… when I’m looking for fan art to wow me, I find myself checking out all the folks who post at deviant art.  There’s an artist over ther named Dan LuVisi I found during yet another Simpsons Oogle search.  He did some amazing Grand Theft Auto inspired Simpsons images.

There’s also a more risqué image of Homer from GTO.  You can check out all his stuff here.  Also, if you just search “Simpsons” at DeviantArt, there’s lots to see and the best news is the mature content filter is on unless you join the site.

I’m sure a lot of folks have seen the Simpsons alphabet but I figured it couldn’t hurt to share it again if you hadn’t.  I don’t know why but I really want to make fake ransom notes and punk rock posters using these.  So many possibilities.

Lastly, Just thought I’d share this image someone made comparing the different opening sequences.  I first saw this on wikipedia so just take that as proof there’s good stuff there lol.  This is one of those scenes that just flies by when you watch the show so it’s neat to see it all together.
