UPDATE BUNNY 11/7: Seems EA is staying pretty tight lipped lately on when items are coming and going. They will not provide a solid answer of whether the Writer’s Building w/Matt is Limited. My suggestion, buy it now just in case.
Hey there tappereenos. So just like EA teased, we have a new lil update to our game in the middle of this fun event. It brings…the Creator? 😉

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
With the usual Episode Tie-Ins, we get some cool new items in the game and usually a dialog that ties it all together. Let’s start off with the two questlines.
WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE
So our lil Ghostly Friend Creator will auto start off the dialog,
“Klaatu barada nikto!!”
There is some silly dialog with Homer and the Creator that leads into the “When Worlds Collide” questline. The first of which is only 6 seconds long (you will need Homer for this). The next part will be 8hrs.
All of this of course leads into this coming Sunday’s Crossover episode with…. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE… FUTURAMA!!!
DON’T FEED AFTER MIDNIGHT
Now…here is the REALLY fun part…EA being the lil stinkers they are have brought into the game… A MUTANT RABBIT!!! Hey now! I ain’t no Mutant! 😛 Once placed, it will start the “Don’t Feed After Midnight” questline. The first task will take 12hrs.

Now for the cool new Building & Character. During Part 3 of When World’s Collide, you will have the option unlock to build the Writers Building.
Writers Building: $80,000. Comes with Matt Groening. Payout is $150 & 13XP Every 8hrs.
Once you complete the 24hr build, you will unlock Matt Groening into your game. WOOHOO! He will come complete with his own tasks and continue on the When Worlds Collide questline.

Then there is this silly lil Furry Rabbit they stuck in the game.
Mutant Rabbit: 75 Donuts. Comes with it’s own questline. Currently 1 task unlocked. The other unlocks 11/10/14. (This one is Limited Time til Sunday)
So more to come with the Mutant Rabbit, the Creator, a cool looking building at a low low cost, and a new Episode Sunday. WOOHOO!

How big is the bunny? I was considering getting it, but the price is a bit steep and I remember that Pokey issues with him being expensive but teeny.
It does have tasks, it is bigger than Pokey. About the size of Burns Monster or #24601

At this point yes.
I’ve found a useful function/ability associated with the mutant rabbit and it’s ‘Multiply’ task: Wherever the rabbit is when the task is started, he um… well does his thing Alien-style. While the task is ongoing, if you tap on any of the rabbit spawn hopping around town, you immediately pop back to the Ur-Rabbit location.
As the crafting continues well into November, I’m becoming concerned. Today I crafted a level 19 “Board With A Nail” and I’m wondering: will I eventually make a board with a nail so big, it will destroy us all?!

Bah, 75 donuts for a playable character… it’s fine with me. But now, I hope Groening, won’t be premium (or too expansive if so) and that he’ll be voiced. That would be nice.

Not sure abt the “Crossover”! This Halloween game has been quite pricey and almost disappointing! I did get a fair amt of items, but with a lot of decision if I would do it!! Hoping Christmas isn’t so expensive, Donuts wise, and therefore, our $$ having to “feed” the experiance!! I dread having to ask my husband if I can buy donuts, and with Thot and hearing his feelings, I cringe to see what he will decide!! I have to try and not feel guilty,tho i did get an early Christmas gift of Donuts, after much thot, and will spend wisely!! Don’t get me wrong, I am having a blast with this game!! 🙂 I do tell him that this is their jobs to create games like this which he does understand! I have read others making comments also abt pricey items, so feel with them!! Just a little info on some feelings!! 🙂 have a great week..:) stepingstair 🙂
well, with this news I no longer care for the Halloween game. This has me very excited that they might be bringing in Futurama. (And I kind I’m not alone in this) Though I am worried that I will be under impressed with what they do with it. I’ve been hoping they would add-on Futurama similar to how they did Krustyland. Just another destination to travel within the game, but it wouldn’t have to blend inside your Springfield. I’ve been playing purely free my entire game, but if they did a Futurama Add-on I would be persuaded to buy donuts.
I love Simpsons, but I loved Futurama more.
I love the look of the Writer’s Building! Only a couple of hours to go until I can start building it.

Not sure. I guess it really depends on how active and decorated your town is along with where all your roads are. Any smaller items gets lost in that. Even Rod n Todd. Lol
I finished kings main quest line for this years event and got 20 donuts off of him and I decided to spend them to get Matt straight away! I had 40 before I finished kings stuff so I had 60 now I have 40 but I can spend a few more bucks if I really want to and have 5 dollars left to spare! Dunno what I would buy though considering I would only be buying around 60 donuts so it would be a total of 100 but ya never know! My homer is currently getting snacks and drinks for Matt, 24hr task so I’m waiting on that and I am in the middle of the database quest line and I won’t finish it for a while so I can make EVERYONE in my Springfield of over to honest johns and it is he long me get tons of money! I need maybe 30-50 more candy bars to get the pumpkin and I’m not gonna get a hover copter, I’m happy with what’s in my Springfield! I bought a portal to Rigel 7 as well, WORTH IT! Anyone, keep tappin! ****** cyyyyya!
What does the mutant bunny do?
So far, just tap on it to make it multiply 5 more hopping round as it sits in its eggs. More to come when the episode airs.

As I put in the post here…it does have a lil questline and currently one task (the other will unlock with Episode). Kinda like Stampy the elephant. Or Jub Jub.
Oh how I hope we can go through the black hole to a Futurama expansion!!!
This is awesome. I once met Matt Groening at an animation screening and he is just the nicest guy. It’s so cool to have him in the game.
I can not wait for this Sunday!! So excited! I absolutely loved futurama! I hope we get some characters or even better a planet express building with the whole team! Does anyone else think stonecutter #51 looks like Amy’s boyfriend Kif? How about an update like squidport/krustyland where we build own futurama! I know that’s to much to ask/wish for but a girl can dream!
Crossover Futurama characters would make this awesome. At least Bender, Fry, and the Professor. And Zap. I’d play this for hours more if they had their own quest lines. Also, anyone else ready for a “Collect All” feature? I get it; it’s a “tapping” game, but when your town is huge, a collect all feature would be nice. They already centralized characters with the town hall and updated the menus, so why not this?
Smh I chose a terrible time to stop playing this game lol in the week and half I havnt played the content released has been bananas!!!! man you guys are lucky 😫

I apologize if this is a duplicate it made me sign in after I tried to post and I don’t see my post. I just wanted to know if Matt Groening was a limited time thing? I dropped my iPad and shattered the screen. I got that fixed but they jacked something up with it and it keeps restrarting and dropping my wifi connection. So now I have to take it back and leave if for a day or two. Which is going to be incredibly hard for me to go that long with my iPad let alone the games. So if I miss out on him because of this I’m going to be really upset. Sorry for ranting but I had to get my frustration out. I tried to stay repsectful though and didn’t use any bad language. =^)
Well, it is episode tie-in and these usually disappear when episode comes to TV. So I would say it is limited time (till Sunday).

Hard to say as I am not fully sure what it is fully capable of til it unlocks completely on the 10th. Lol. Bonus wise…you get a % from the black hole.
Is this a limited time thing? I had to take my iPad in to get the screen replaced because I dropped it. Apparently whatever they did replacing the screen jacked up some other things that supposedly already checked. So now I have to leave it for a couple of days. It’s going to be hard enough being without my iPad for that long but if I miss out on Matt Groening I’m going to be really upset
As I listed in the post, only the Mutant Bunny shows as Limited. Matt was not tagged Limited Time.
i think my frustration made me miss that part. Sorry. I guess it makes it a tiny bit better that I won’t miss out on him. I’m not sure about the Rabbit though. 75 donuts seems like a lot but I’ll wait for the write up before deciding completely. Thanks for the help as always Bunny.

I know it is completely unrelated, but it is driving me nuts. The only Halloween item I need from the past is The Raven and it has yet to appear. With Halloween over, they probably aren’t going to re-release it. I was really really hoping with today’s update… Sad Face :(… Though the bunny is pretty awesome and I really hope they bring some Futurama into the game as well! If Family Guy can have Ghostbusters, then why not have Futurama in TSTO!! 😀
