I am getting to the point where I won’t have enough elves to shoot once the cannon is done cooling down. Is this normal?

I finally had bought Duffman but am feeling like some of us are being punished because we didn’t get our Duff tree. Duff was doing his 6 hour task, and then we couldn’t get into the game. When they did an update, no Duff tree.
I have a ticket open with ea, but my only options given to contact them is live chat which would mean over an hour waiting for that. I just tried again, and no advisors are available. I used to be able to email them.
Anyone else lose a Duff tree?
Wait. Normal business will resume tomorrow…so wait. See if any other options arise.

Hey all! So I’m a fairly new tapper so my questions may seem really basic….
#1 For future reference, how do you get those huge screen shots? I am referring to the screen shots from the Christmas contest. I just learned how to take a screen shot, I know kinda sad. Anyways I know some of those were more space than I can get in a single shot.
#2 What is an acceptable amount of time for a freind to be gone from the game, without leaving notice on a site like this one, before unfriending them to get someone who plays often? F.Y.I. I just don’t want to be rude, my friends have all come back within a week & I have a real life too so I know how to be patient. Just don’t know the etiquette for games.
#3 I am still super bummed about loosing 50 donuts when my daughter accidentally rushed my elves & it didn’t give an opption to cancel it. The only answer I got from anyone was to change my settings to ‘confirm donut spending.’ Still I finished all the tasks & wasn’t able to claim my last prize or the bonus charecter from the last event. How often does this type of thing happen? I have other games that use premium currency but, I’ve never lost that many to not even get the prizes I earned from the event!!!
#4 This is the big one! Or at least the dorkiest, lol! Where do you get the Lego store from?!?! Granted I’m only at level 37 or so but, I love it and totally want it!

2: That depends on YOU. Right now a lot of people are having technical issues, so many don’t have the option to play even if they want. So…up to you if you boot them or not. I wait 3+ weeks.
3: Every time there is a new level update, we send a reminder to check that donut confirm. You gotta watch it. You can enable it when you buy items too.

The Blocko store could come back sometime (for donuts, of course). For what it’s worth, many of us missed out because it was kinda random how it was won, and there was no clear path that would guarantee winning it.
As far as inactive neighbors go, there are way too many people having trouble with the game to drop anybody right now, imo. Instead of dropping people, I just hide them and check to see if they have logged in recently. Also, we should all keep in mind that some people don’t celebrate Christmas, and it’s possible a few of our neighbors may be uncomfortable playing this game during an event that celebrates a religious holiday that is not theirs. For this reason, I haven’t dropped anybody, and will wait until the event is over to see who comes back.
I’ve been enjoying reading the contest entries, because it gives me an idea of the range of demographics of the people here (and it’s surprised me about how many there are, too!). Very cool how many older people there are playing this game and all the different countries that folks live in or grew up in. Many of the entries are wonderful little stories… I could almost see them published in a little book (like the kind you sometimes see near the registers at book stores or something).
Yeah after I posted mine, I went back and read others’. A lot of them a really sweet 😀
I’m really annoyed with EA just now, and since I can’t talk to them, I hope you don’t mind if I complain here a bit. I bought a boatload of donuts on Christmas eve and didn’t get them. I opened a case and waited patiently until I got the option of chatting online with an advisor, which wasn’t possible on boxing day, I guess since they were so busy. I had the online chat, was polite and friendly, gave the person every single piece of info they needed, and the receipt for the purchase. Eventually, the advisor told me the donuts would be added in 24 hours, which seemed a long time to me since I thought it would be immediate, but I accepted his word, and thanked him for the help. Now, well over 24 hours later, and still no donuts! And my case has been closed! Argh! What is so hard about this?! I’ve seen other peoples comments on here about how this issue has been sorted immediately and they’ve sometimes even got a few extra donuts to make up for it. I get messed around, have to sit around waiting in online queues and get to watch limited time items expire. I’m glad my money and time matters so little to EA, if I could follow their example I would be lessmad about this. And now I have to waste time tomorrow getting this sorted out again, provide all the info again and then presumably wait another day+ to see if its been fixed. I would try to get a refund, but Gil’s gone now.
Right. Now I have vented I need to calm down before contacting them in the morning. It’s a mistake, not a deliberate mess around I’m sure -deep breath-. And its not the fault of whoever I chat to -deep breath- 😛 Does anyone know if the queue times are less in the morning or the evening? And will EA phone the UK? Hope everyone has had a good weekend!
Sorry for your troubles. Every time I’ve contacted EA I requested through email to be sent to a manager/special unit/ etc. I actually have had the best luck with a team based in the UK so I’m sure they’ll be able to call the UK. Just keep your chin up and hopefully you’ll get your donuts soon!
Yeah, it’s unfortunate that there option of a refund but now the deal is gone.I guess right now is all you can do is hassle them until it’s sorted. Good luck and don’t lose too much faith in EA! 🙂
I’m pleased to say that it has been sorted out today! I did online support again, and this time the advisor added the donuts immediately. I officially love EA again :-).
I no longer get the ballon icon for the “Sideshow You” game in KL. Can’t pop balloons for tickets and donuts anymore. Anyone else having this problem?
Also, I seem to have 101 friends, can we have more than 100 now?

Having the same issue with Sideshow’s game 🙁 I have seen others talk about it here & on the EA forum. Haven’t seen or heard for myself if they are working to fix it though 🙁
That is because the majority of the actual techs are all out for the Holidays. People will start returning tomorrow.

Anyone elses krustyland balloon game glitchy mine hasnt shown up in days cannot even tap on it …. i like thentry for donuts though its only happened twice in two years anyhooo hoping they fix that and the non making money quikemarts…. hap hap happy tapping

Good evening Addicts. I just have a question: is there another way to get rid of the elves? I have so many and not getting enough cogwheels to leve up the cannon :/.
Patience…soon you will beg for more and more elves as you wont have enough left to shoot. Lol.
I’ve reached L7 of upgrades and my elf numbers are steadily dropping.
Anybody else having problems with the game saying not connected to server? It has happened to me a few times today and to husband as well.
Can just be a lot of people on the servers or a wifi/memory issue
I have this issue all the time with this game. I play other games just like this one and they connect no problem. Seems I have this issue more & longer during the special events, too.

Has anyone (who didn’t win it last year) buy the happy little elves ride for KLand, I wouldn’t mind picking it up since it is a good price for a premium ride and it would be a new ride for my KLand (for under 100 donuts). Any thoughts or insights?
I bought it as soon as I could. I love KL and want every ride possible for it. I am planning on trying to build a “kiddie” area in my KL once the Christmas event is over. I paid a heck of a lot more than 30 Donuts for the Twirl and Hurl during Halloween. If you like it buy it.
I’m thinking of getting it. Strictly freemium, so spending my donuts is a big decision, but nothing else from part 2 of this event is the least bit interesting, except some items that are way outside my budget right now.
I was hoping for a nice (but fairly cheap) Christmas item to be the centerpiece for my Holiday Corner — I guess it will have to be the toy factory. (I call it a Holiday Corner and not a Christmas Corner because it has items in it from every holiday and event since I started playing!)
I bought the ride and I think it is a good addition to KL since there aren’t many options for attractions there. I can’t wait until we get more buildings and attractions KL that way I feel like setting it up like my Springfield.
I’m getting it too…no idea what it does but several characters can ride it.

So I read Bunny’s post from Easter on how to use the zapper (wish I had known about this site then) to get an idea how to use the Elf bottler, but I’m still having trouble. If I lift my finger off to clear the instruction box then I can’t get the bottler to work. If I keep my finger on the screen then the box doesn’t go away. I got it to work once last night but that’s it. I am playing on a Kindle. Any one else having this problem?
Just tap right as soon as you see the pop up and it clears it out for you. Then…try a few times to activate it.
You don’t need to use the zapper’s instruction box to make the zapper work. Just find a part of Springfield with no dollar signs or other temporary markings. Touch and hold for one second, without moving your finger, until the zapping graphic appears. (If you move your finger before it does, even a tiny bit, the game will think you’re trying to scroll the map, and you’ll have to stop pressing and try again. Try putting your Kindle on a flat surface, then plunking your finger right straight down on it.) Once the zapping appears, you can then move your finger around, slowly, and it should zap nearby elves.
But I’ve found it’s only useful, barely, if you see a bunch of elves and want to zap them all slightly faster than tapping them one by one as usual. It’s not useful for scanning for elves hiding behind buildings: too slow. For searching, just switch to the mode for repositioning buildings, and switch off the visibility of buildings and decorations, then scroll around.
Long time player, first time donut purchaser! I spent $5 on donuts to get the Santa Village. I wanted to be able to do the flying Santa Homer and reindeer all year. Now I can! (I wouldn’t have figured out what I needed to buy or the value of Santa Village if it weren’t for this site.) Then, I decided to take advantage of Gil’s deal. I read here about the $100 iTunes card via Best Buy for $90 + a $10 Best Buy gift card, so I bought it at the store within the last hour of Gil’s deal, then used the pro tip about how to get Gil’s deal without a crash. I only bought a truckload ($50). I do want the ice palace. I’m also very curious how the ice blocks look. I’m wondering if they may be ideal for some fun 3D designs… Also, Santa Homer stuck in the chimney is the funniest animation I’ve seen. Thanks for such a great site!!!
Ugh, my elf bottler doesn’t work…worked one time, now doesn’t…isn’t it supposed to work the same way the bunny zapper did? Click on the screen then hold and drag?

For me, it never starts when I attempt to use it. I have to try it a few times before it kicks on. It’s annoying. It’s easier to just tap them individually most of the time. To add insult to injury, sometimes it starts on its own if I accidentally touch the screen unintentionally without trying.
So if I see a large group of elves, I will try to engage the Elf Bottler, otherwise I will just tap them individually.
Cleaning the oils off your finger and screen helps exponentially!
I bought Donuts also…just $20 this time. I had to buy Costingtons…it killed me to see it after missing it by a few presents last year…that and I HAD to get the ski lift…stupid sexy Flanders..feels like he’s wearing nothing at all. 🙂
I loved the first part of the event. I was excited to complete each tunnel every day. The elves are funny & I like using the cannon, but I don’t find part 2 as entertaining. My elf Cannon is level 7 & I’m on Project After-Party Pt. 10. I’m getting 6 elves per hour. 🙁 How could this be? I never have enough elves to fire the cannon once the cooling down has elapsed. There never were a lot of elves, but they were enough for the cannon (barely). Is this normal or should I contact EA?

I’m also on Part 10, with an elf cannon that just upgraded to level 8, and 210 elves in bottles. I’m getting 6 elves/hour too. So I’d say it’s normal.
I bought donuts on Thursday during the Gil deal and never got the donuts (like many folks). I appreciate your links, which I used to get a call. Sadly, I never got a call on Friday. I requested again Saturday, and still nothing! I also went out on a limb an emailed their support. I’m really hoping I hear back tomorrow so I can get my donuts!!!! (I know you’re not EA, but wanted to share my sadness).
Otherwise, I have LOVED the winter 2014 event! I’m getting worried about dwindling elf count in my town. My cannon is level 9, and I’m just getting the 33 elves. I’m hoping they start shipping more into our towns so I can get more cogs and keep leveling my cannon!

I am in the same boat- I talked to an EA agent Saturday night who recommended waiting till Monday a.m. due to the wait time. Be aware you will need your receipt , screenshot, etc. as proof of purchase.
Cannon level 8. Wheew! Love grinding them gears. (Get it?) Yeah, I wonder what’s gonna happen to my 4 “Snowball II” snowmen when the snow melts. ( that was a lot of snow in one sentence). I’m tired, bye! 🙂
My Packers won tonight… Yay!!!! On another note for the ones that believe please keep my daughter in your prayers and thoughts she is having tonsil surgery tomorrow. While I know it’s a common procedure it’s my baby girl and she’s only 11. And I wish I could go through it for her. 😪
Blah…had mine taken out …on my BIRTHDAY…a few years back. They say it is worse as an adult. My suggestion is get a GOOD cool mist humidifier, ask for the “numbing suckers”, Stock up on Popsicles, warm broth, gatorades or powerades…and LOTS of comfort.
First week feels like death…then…slowly back to normal over next few weeks. LOTS of comfort. Favorite snuggly animal/blankey. Things to distract from the pain. Favorite shows, books, movies, etc.

My buddy also play tsto and today someone sent him an anonymous gift of 2400 donuts. I was kinda jealous. Wish I could get some donuts to spend . Alot of things I would like in my Springfield but can’t afford the donuts to do it
Huh? To my knowledge, there is no way to send gifts to other players within the game, anonymously or otherwise. Maybe someone sent your friend an iTunes or Google Play gift card or credit and they used it to buy the donuts in the game?

I forgot to buy donuts during the Gil deal!!! We were so busy leading up to Christmas and then the baby has had a cold since and we’ve had out of town guest. I needed to scan in some gift cards but I was so tired I went to bed not even thinking about it and completely missed out 🙁 Not the end of the world but I’m so disappointed.
I’m also a day behind on elf bells. Our guests left today so hopefully I can catch up.
Is the balloon minigame in Krustyland no longer a thing? The past few days I haven’t had the little balloon icon above it, and when I try to tap on the stand, the whole screen flashes for a second.

Today I was having dinner with people from another city, when suddenly this 2 years old kid asks me ‘are you playing simpsons??!’ And I was like, err I need to adopt this little boy..
Bought $20 worth of donuts (usually don’t) and my 5 year old spent them on speeding up the cannon 😩. On the bright side, I have lots of bells.
That is so precious. My grandson (bionicy pwn) needed some donuts right before the Gil deal, so I succumbed. Now, his mom discovered an instagram photo she told him not to show off about and his iPod is under protective custody. Better lots of bells than donuts that who knows when will be used. LOL

Confused about bell collection tally! Can u help? Y do I sometimes get 1point per bell and other times get 2 3 or 5??
plus one neighbour will show score in bottom right of screen then next door it’s not there then it’s back again?? Also sometimes I’ve noticed it doesn’t even add any score then the very next neighbour it’s OK again! Can u c y I’m confused dot com lol

I just leveled it earlier to 7. Working towards the hundred sixty or so cogs for level 8 🙂

Hi! Have not been here in a while! Just wondering, I love the ice palace, and love its design, but I was wondering, when the event is over, will it stay the same, be partially melted or a big pile of melted ice at the end, I was just wondering! 😛
