Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No it’s not time to sing Fa ra ra ra ra…nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread. Christmas Phase 2 hit our games on Christmas Eve…what do you think of the new update? Gil was in town for a couple of days…with a donut deal FINALLY…did you take advantage of his offer? Christmas was last week, did Santa bring you everything you wanted? New Years Eve is this week…what do you have planned? Sunday Night Football tonight features the Bengals vs. the Steelers. Who are you rooting for?

Wondering if anyone else is having a glitch in KrustyLand. When I tap on the balloon pop, it makes the popping noise, but doesn’t come up with any info like how long till I can play again. It also doesn’t let me play, I haven’t popped since Christmas morning. Just wondering?

Day 5 of my 6 day break from work. Think I’m getting cabin fever now and so is my dad. This means we are now starting to drive each other crazy and arguments are far more likely to happen. I’m putting in some time on my game though and also on the annual Christmas jigsaw puzzle that I get given. This year it is a sweet shop scene.
I’m also chatting away to a guy who left a Christmas card at work for me on Christmas Eve with his phone number in. So glad Facebook has the ability to search by phone number as he gave the card to a colleague and she was hopeless at describing what he looked like as I didn’t recognise his name. So he’s now a Facebook friend until we get to go out for a drink. Then I may give him my phone number after that. It’s been an interesting few days.
I am wondering if they are going to start putting out more elves. It is just starting to seem that the cannon updates are pointless w/o more elves to collect and shoot. Thanks, Cari

Well Jamie is home again and while Mike was here I got him to check out my PC…it isn’t the modem that was zapped by lightning last week/week before…it is the network card…hence why I can get wifi on my wee mypad even tho I can’t log onto Internet on PC. I had set up the old laptop as well but couldn’t get online with that either and when Mike checked it out, it wanted the old password and of course I was giving it the new one! So we have it kinda sorted out now! I’ll take the tower down with me when I go to see surgeon next week, and dear son in law is going to pop in new card for me! So hopefully I can actually sit down and write you girls that long overdue email! Lol I imagine I am going to have a mega load of back emails to go thru once I log into my server! Lol
Mike and Miranda are off out bush now to see the Undarra lava caves that Mike’s father and a couple of other cowboys discovered over 45years ago…now a huge tourist camp site. I thought Jamie might go with them but he wanted to get home. Garfield got bitten by a snake yet again…makes it the fourth time now! So he was very ill the past few days, so I think Jamie wanted to be home with him…they’ve basically grown up together, so they are close and I know Jamie will really be upset when the old cat finally steps off the planet….I will be also, but not like Jamie will be. I’ve noticed Garf is having trouble focusing with his eyes now, so more damage to his poor old body…but he’s determined to carry on the old codger that he is. 😌
Well dear ladies, I shall away for now. Hope you both had a lovely festive break with your families and loved ones. I was here on my own and loving it…but am really pleased Jamie is home!😉

This being my first Christmas on TSTO I was very pleased however I think the elf bottler was a bad idea. I think it’s supposed to bottle more than one elf at a time but I could use it in the middle of like four elves and it only collects one elf leaving me to tap the elves anyways. I also think it was a bad idea to make the elf bottler a prize that will most likely go away after the event is over. I like collecting prizes to decorate my Springfield with. Thanks Alyssa, Bunny and Wookie for all the information it helps me to play better and know what to expect.

Hi Akima…just a question…when you use the elf bottler do you keep your finger on the screen and slide it around your town? Once you lift your finger it stops. It will only zap elves within the electrical area. You also have to move slower than you think cos while it isn’t arcing, you won’t zap elves…only when you see the wee bolts arcing out from your finger will you get the wee elves. It was annoying me as well till I realised I had to keep my finger on the screen and gently slide it around…now I am having heaps of fun seeking those wee folk out to zap.

Already missed the deadline on the first Santa-post. Auspicious beginnings… Anyway, my favourite present ever was a little puppy named Chico. No way of telling what kind of dog was mixed up in him, but he definitely was the kindest, nicest, lovinglyest, bravest little dog there ever was. Long since gone but I still remember him fondly 🙂
Since posting this I talked to my sister about the best. Dog. Ever. She agrees about that, but she also told me that he was actually HER gift. And I had to admit she is right. So my favourite present wasn’t even mine…
Since the update that fixed the log on problems (on the 24th?) the Sideshow You in Krustyland does not work. I can’t pop the balloons. The screen just blinks and nothing happens. Anyone else with this problem? I am playing on an Android device.

i’m on level 46 and only 30,000 xp away from levelling up to 47… but the strip club hasn’t unlocked! what gives?
the only non-event quest i have in my task book is “the princess and the pea brain” which is for KL…i don’t have to complete that before I unlock the level 46 tasks, do I?
You pretty much answered your question. You are looking at your XP Level and comparing it to your Walkthrough Game Play Levels. The two are separate. Can’t go to 47 until 46 is done. If you haven’t even done Level 43…you got a long way to go still.
Ooh, a New Years event just kicked off, I already had The fireworks guy, so is it triggering for everyone or only if you have him?

When I went to the Krustyland side of the game the balloon popping option wasn’t available but if I click on the building itself it makes an odd popping sound. Also, suddenly a rectangle of sentences appeared as if starting a quest and disappeared because I was tapping several times and wasn’t expecting anything to happen. When I went back to my town a quest started with Guiseppe. Did this start with anyone else? They’re talking about New Years Eve fireworks.

Allright, One thinkg I have noticed few days ago after one, small update. On Krustyland there was a place, that pops a baloons to shoot for. I can’t see poping baloon for a few days

Helloooooo. My haunting as the spirit of the ghost Texas desert rat has over run into this world as well. Ooooooo some more.
I have saved 162 donuts and I can’t decide what to get. I’m thinking Arnie Pye and The French Waiter because then I’ll have 2 characters with fun outside tasks. Would you say that was a good call?
It really comes down to this…what will make YOU happy months from now? This event isn’t quite over. Those two characters are here to stay. You may want to wait to see if anything else comes with this event or the one after that may peak your interests more …then decide. Either way, I do like both the ones you have picked so far. Arnie more so due to his helicopter task.

This happened a while ago but I once got into the game in the middle of the night (couldn’t sleep), only to find my Springfield all come to life! I mean the buildings that usually don’t get animated were all on… Duff Stadium boards lit up, zamboni coming out of the ice rink, swooshing wind out of the supercollider… even Zesty’s was blinking! And no tasks happening in them. Was this a glitch? Or was it a spooky Halloween thing? Or does this happen all the time while I’m sleeping? 😉

oh I forgot to mention, ALL the garbage bins were open, as if Cletus had dug through them! Magic or spooky?!?
Magic. Certain times of the year the place comes “alive” and we love it!!! It gives those dormant buildings a chance to once again show off their animation that was only there for a short time.

I broke down a bought the Snow Monster… the one thing I didn’t win on the prize wheel last year. Not a huge fan of the multiple stage events, but anything is better than the prize wheel.
Is anyone else having trouble connecting to the server? I haven’t been able to play all afternoon!
I simply want to say thanks to everyone working here for their help in answering questions, as I sometimes forget to say so when they answer mine :T I love this place!
Got the boatload deal from Gil, and I’ve been purchasing a bunch of stuff. I did wonder whether the Snow Monster is a regular character, or a premium NPC like the Frog Prince was at Halloween? Thanks for all your great posts throughout the year!

Hi, I’m currently experiencing the same issue where I can no longer play the Sideshow You game in KL, but I can also no longer collect any money from my Kwik-E-Marts, just the scratch offs. Any ideas? I’ve placed the buildings in inventory and logged in and out, but nada. 🙁

Very weird football day for me. The Pats lost, but it was a meaningless game they barely tried to win. No one was hurt so that is a victory.
Despite playing 31/2 crappy quarters of football the Ravens came alive at the end and managed to sneak into the play offs. Now we have to face the Steelers, who at least got banged up in their win tonight.
The first part of the Christmas event was fun, the second is kind of eh. I am behind on my bell collecting, but we will see where I end up. I just can not play as often as they think I can. I bought the Happy Little Elves ride as soon as possible, I have been desiring that forever. I got Santa Homer as well. None of the other premium items really speak to me. I like Stupid Sexy Flanders, but I think the ski slope looks ridiculous.
Just sent Mr Plow (homer) to go melt the snow (the Mr Plow quest has been over for a year now) and Comic Book Guy comes up and delivers a line from that quest out of the blue. “Great, I can’t wait to find out what radioactive creature bites me. I’m pulling for mongoose.” I have sent him to melt the snow countless times since then, just a weird glitch I guess.

Totally random- this is mainly for the Wookiee- but I was just in my town and out of nowhere, buildings were animated! El Chemistri and the Bad Dream House were lighting up, House of Evil’s window display was in full gear…it was great! If only they’d let us actually USE these buildings once in a while…

That happens to me occasionally, too! It doesn’t seem related to anything in particular, and only seem to happen when I first start up the game – never when I already have it up and running for a while. I like when it happens…fun to see those animations again, every once in a while!
