Well looks like we’ve got ourselves a little TSTO update on our hands.
First EA’s giving us a little gift…and Gil is back!
I know this probably isn’t what many of you were hoping/looking for but it’s a little something to hold us over until the “next big thing”. Let’s take a look at what’s involved…
First up…EA is giving EVERYONE 1 each of the Small Islands for FREE. (just check your inventory)
That’s right you’ll find 1 each of the Small Islands in your inventory (worth 120 donuts + $10,000)…
Next thing you’ll notice is Gil’s back!
No it’s not a donut deal (which I was hoping for to make up for the issues many of us faced after Christmas) this time he’s appealing to your Princess side and offering you a Princess Castle and Queen Helvetica costume for Lisa…
After all we’ve got a Two-nicorn that pukes rainbows we should complete the princess image in our towns…
Note: NO the Two-nicorn is NOT for sale with this update….JUST KIDDING! Of course they’re offering the Two-nicorn with this deal! What’s Queen Helvetica with out this guy?! The two-nicorn is available for 70 donuts (Should I buy on Two-nicorn is here)

FYI the castle is 8×9 in size and it does come with a questline for Lisa.
And of course no Gil deal is complete with out some begging from Gil…

Gil: Nothing. I was just saying you’re the spitting image of my little girl. Oh, how she loved buying my products!
Lisa: Really. You sold steak knives and life insurance to your own daughter?
Gil: And she drove a hard bargain, let me tell ya! She’s a smart one. Like you. And pretty. Again, like you. Please buy something.
Lisa: I bet you don’t even have a daughter. What’s her name?
Gil: Uh…Stanley. Stanley Grace. Oh, who am I kidding. I shoulda known I could never get you to buy a life-sized magical princess castle from me. Even if it DOES come with a matching pink gown. And a tiara. And sash that says “HER MAJESTY”.
Lisa: Gimme!
And if you don’t take the Deal…
Gil: Gee, Homer, I hate to see your daughter so sad.
Homer: My “daughter”, as you call her, can’t feel actual sadness. As “she” is a sequence of 1s and 0s programmed by a nerd at EA. Same goes for “me”, “you”, and “whatever you’re trying to guild me into buying”. It’s all just 1s and 0s!
Gil: C’mon. it’s a beautiful princess castle! Only 175 donuts!
Homer: I hate you. Or rater, “I” “hate” “you”.
And if you take the deal…
Gil: Congratulations on your new Castle! But of course, no castle is complete without steak knives. And do I have some beauties right here. Only 19.95 donuts!
Lisa: OUT OF MY WAY!
Now if you reject the deal initially and want to go back to it in the future you can via your store. Then you’ll see the offer popup with Gil’s lovely face…
I think Gil looks pretty good as a jester…what do you think?

Omg i was so excited to see the islands in my inventory!!! I already bought one but it always good to have more lol l.man i want that castle but i dont have 175 doughnuts 😢
I like the islands but I much prefer a level update.
Grumble, grumble, grumble 🙁 While I am glad everyone got the small islands for free, It also really ticks me off that some of us were duped into buying 2 of them for 120 donuts last week. Interesting that the present that was on the 30 donut island has turned into a starfish now (Patrick is that you?) BTW ~ has anyone else noticed that the teddy bear next to the crashed Santa’s sleigh on the ‘Tropical Island’ seems to be Bobo?

The island gift was a nice gesture, as is the Gil deal (for those with plenty of donuts for an unexpected splurge.) But it’s a very small, albeit very nice, offering after the multiple problems and curveballs of the event. Wow, that 90 donut island it tiny! I’m relieved I didn’t
shell out sprinkles for it, yet grateful to have it. Thanks EA.
In the wind-down phase close to the last day I saw a few unwarranted judgmental or dismissive comments from a few tappers directed at those who didn’t make it through all the prizes. “If you play smart..” “There was plenty of time..” Etc. There were way too many factors going on and some were just luckier than others with game access, total friends continuing throughout phase 2, and much more. Why rub it in if folks lost out on final prizes? Alissa, Bunny and Wookie set a pretty supportive tone and that is a great model for all tappers to keep in mind. It wasn’t that those comments were offensive or anything, but more of a ‘kick people when they’re down’ attitude – even if it wasn’t intentional. Hey, aren’t we here to be helpful to one another?
Very much agreed. Negativity… no matter where directed… is really not what this place is about. Kindness goes a long way. 😉
I agree, but there are many more people who post admitting they can only log on 2 or 3 times a day and moan that they are falling behind schedule. For those of us that play the game much more frequently it is obvious why they are falling behind and extremely tempting to say so.
I should learn to resist temptation though. My wrist is slapped (although I don’t know how guilty I was) and I’ll try to be more restrained in future.
Sometimes I forget it’s just a game. *slaps ‘competitive-me’ in the face*
Indeed – through this event I played both my A and B games – whenever I played one I played the other. The only difference was my starting level. On my A game I got 9 doughnuts and on my B game, I just today got the train restaurant. When you’re lower level, you have to wait longer to do things like waiting til I could afford the library for lisa to research elves or sending Mr. Burns into the train restaurant over and over by himself cause I have no other plant workers. Higher level people forget how didficult events can be for newbies.
Sky, more than enough time if you live the game. I pretty much lived the game and made it only by one day. If a person did not play for one day only they likely missed out! I agree with you, people need to relax.

It’s nice they gave us the islands, but what about the players who don’t have squidport? They will just sit in their inventory for a while! 🙁

I like the free islands, I’d just started expanding my water area today to allow me to position the islands I already had so I can add these extras in to create a longer chain. I had bought the 30 donut island but as it was with free donuts I’m not going to complain about getting an extra one.
Not sure about the Gil Deal yet, I have started creating a kind of theme park area with the Barbarian Castle and Santa’s Village and also the Ice Palace so the new castle would fit in quite well… Will mull it over for a few days as I quite like the look of it

Id buy it if Two-nicorn was included with the castle. But as it is, 175 donuts for a castle with no multiplier is not a good deal.
I’m so happy to get the small islands, as I never would’ve spent donuts for them. But I really wish Gil’s deal wasn’t for yet another (albeit different) castle. This past year we’ve had the 3 COC castles, the Ice Castle and now this. I just want more normal (and not gigantic) buildings for my Springfield! Can this at least go in Krustyland?

Wish I could have turned in 3200 elf bells in for doughnuts. I was so Close to the last 4k quest. Did anyone get that much? If so, how many doughnuts was the reward?
It was the same as all previous events, you have to earn extra event currency to a specific number than you get a try at 3 boxes… info is here.
