Should I Buy…
Definitely pick up the Tube Slide (and as many as you can). It’s a fun addition to Springfield & really looks great in parks!
As far as the skins go…my opinion is the same with these skins as it was for the Wave 1 Skins, they’ll all now earn at a premium rate but they all only have indoor tasks. I personally don’t think they’re ALL worth the donuts. I will tell you that I purchased Hibbert last year, but it was because he was one of the only ones with out it and i wanted the complete set. If I didn’t have any of the Stonecutters I don’t know that he’s one I’d get now.
I will say Jasper is a fun one to get, if you have him, because he’ll paddle Homer..which is a fun task. Beyond that I just don’t think they’re worth the donuts, premium or freemium. BUT that’s just my opinion & in the end it’s up to you who you want to add to your Springfield. I know a lot of you are like me & not having the complete sets drives you crazy….

Gee, I guess there really isn’t a Valentine’s Day event… I was really looking forward to it. I wasn’t playing during the original Stonecutters event but I have to say it’s a disappointment regardless. I saved up donuts for the potential valentine premium items. Has anyone heard that there will be anything Valentine related?

Is it possible that EA ran into some bugs with the implementation of their Valentines event, so simply threw this together quickly in order to a) give them a little more time to get it working properly, and b) throw us a bone for the extra wait?
If it is, I don’t mind, as I was able to pick up the No. 2 costume, which was the only Stonecutter I was missing… but I sincerely hope that something new is on the way. I’ve got nothing else to do in the game now.

So I know a lot of the tsto players think the black market sale is lazy on ea’s part but the stonecutters are one of my favorite parts of the Simpson’s . I”ve been playing since Nov and I’m on level 39. I just don’t.have the donuts.right. now to purchase the stonecutters items . What chance is there that these items will be available again?
They’ll probably bring them back at some point in the future, but there’s no guarantee.
Number 5 actually has an outdoor task with Homer. Don’t know if you need Stonecutter Homer or not though.
I believe you do. But you’ll get him if you purchase the Lodge, which you need to purchase any of the other Stonecutters
Is it worth buying the table?
We’ll have a should I buy on it coming up. Here’s my two cents. While I certainly enjoy the decoration, for 120 donuts it’s pretty steep. If you have the skins for Wiggum, Homer and Krusty and Number 51, there is a 12 hr animation with it for each. If not, the price to see the animation goes up quite a bit. I only regularly send the alien. With the table, you can tap Homer doing his 12 hr task to get 10 free donuts but it still leaves the initial cost at 110. If you have the sprinklies to splurge, then go on ahead but if you’re saving for stuff, it’s probably a pass.
This actually seams more like a replacement for the super bowl mini event. What with the actual mention of the game at the start. They wouldn’t have done that before the game because nbc was the broadcaster. They probably needed a few days to fine tune something’s with Valentine’s day. I’m more than confident we will see a Valentine’s event after this sale or maybe even before the sale ends.

If it’s 50 donuts, doesn’t that mean it’s STILL premium?
Yes. BUT the point of saying was previously premium is to alert those who weren’t around during the event that he was premium last time around, unlike the others that were all freemium.
I bought some tube slides they look nice pity children cannot use them that would be fun. Did not get any skins the free ones were ones I already have and cannot buy any donuts. Had to put level 49 task on hold though insufficient funds buying day care centre ironically have started this on my other account. How do people manage to earn 1000000 a day I get 50000 and play daily
Build up a large collection of houses and farm the money in. The more houses you can build, the larger your money received will be.
Start farming now and start watching your money roll in.
Now obviously bear in mind too that, some people who claim to make impossible amounts of money daily or seem to have an excessively high number of doughnuts are probably cheating and using a modded apk of the game where everything is free.
TinyCo clamped down on cheaters on Family Guy with high levels of clams as they can see where all the clams come from and started to ban them, hopefully, EA might do the same with this game too.
Stick with what you can afford to do within the game and build up your game within your limits.
Premium characters and the % bonus
Just a quick off-topic reply to your last sentence; I have 2 games, 1 with lots (but not all) premium stuff and the second (my boyfriend’s) with some (but not a lot) of premium stuff.
And both games get set up for 24 hours but the first earns around 150,000 a day and the 2nd only around 50-75,000 a day… I think a part of this is a few more earnable characters in the 1st game but a huge part of this is the conformity bonus – 110% vs 67%.
I need some quick cash at the moment so I’ve gone back to what I used to do in the beginning – 4-hour tasks and set alarms to do new jobs.

I really want to get the costumes to complete my sets from the original event but at 50 donuts a piece I’m just too cheap. I play freemium so I can’t bring myself to pay that much for them but I also like to complete things so I’m torn inside! I’ll pass and continue to be disappointed *sigh*
Unrelated to the stonecutters stuff… Has anyone else not been getting the random donut(s) when clicking in friends towns after max fp? I was getting at least one a day but since the update I haven’t gotten any. Wondering if it’s a glitch.
Not a glitch, just the odds playing out in a different pattern for a while. Hang in there – they’ll come back!
Days none, abundance then flourishes, I have a day or two with none here and there, but they will come, the most so far for me is 5 in a run 🙂
Personally (the conjecture conventionalist) it could be linked to activity, I have noticed more donuts daily if logging per 4hrs but I am in 12hr mode (with no-tap-chess 🙂 and maximising taps for neighborinos… donuts are sparse.

It’s kinda bogus the Wave 1 stuff went away when Wave 2 was loaded in. With the Family Guy Best of 2014 event Vol 1 stayed when Vol 2 was loaded in. My Simpsons only gave me about 12 hours to get Wave 1. It was gone by the time I woke up and could get doughnuts to buy the Stonecutters I didn’t have, because I missed the event when it originally posted.
Happy to have received most of these skins during the original Stonecutters event — and really happy that their tasks, or at least some of them, have become premium payout tasks. As a freemium player, I wouldn’t purchase these if I didn’t already have them, but I do enjoy the variety of tasks that were added to the game with the Stonecutters event, and I’m hoping they find a way to do Stonecutters II, somehow.
My one complaint so far is that they didn’t release the Money Pool to give Burns a four hour task. Now they may release it during Wave 3 but we will see.

I have just about everything from the Stonecutter event on my premium A-game and don’t want to spend the donuts on my freemium ones. So, as with the hieroglyph walls, I’ll stockpile a bunch of tube slides and be done with it.
If you have the table and want to choose just a few stonecutter skins, , I highly recommend the skins for Homer, Krusty and Wiggum. They have the 12 hour task “Sing the Stonecutter Song” which is IMHO one of the best visual tasks in the game. Singing and drinking at the table. 🙂
And, Number 51 would round out the group, as he’s the fourth one that can sit at the table. But not sure if you plan to buy him. He’s not needed for the singing task.
I totally agree on the Stonecutter song task. Watching them wave their steins around at the table, I can really hear the song in my head every time.

Is anyone else getting annoyed about people moaning about there being no Valentines event? This stone cutter event ends off the 12th! Valentine’s is on the 14th! That leaves 2 days for an update!
And my two cents on Easter/whacking day: seeing as they are doing events with multiple event currencies at different times I predict half the event will be Easter and the other half whacking day!
This isn’t a stonecutters event, it’s a re-run of content most of us have every item of already from the actual event, which was 6 months ago.

No. Not me anyway.
Some of the EA folks check in on sites like this, and for example, they learned just how much the players LOATHED (sorry, but caps just about justified) the ‘Wheel of Misfortune.’ So eventually they pulled the wheel and even as a joke gave us a broken one this past Christmas.
Don’t get me wrong, I *do* like it when they make older items available for sale. But not only was the Stonecutter event just six months ago, it was also one of the events that lasted way longer than it should have. Give us access to items that were available 1-2 years ago, great! But six months?
And as for ‘two days for an update’, this is at odds with their usual practice of beginning holiday-themed events 10-14 days before the actual date, and leading up to it.
p.s. There was no whacking day last year. Just Easter. And that horrible wheel that seemed to award nothing but fence pieces.
As someone who started playing shortly (I think) after the Stonecutters event, I’m happy for the chance to pick up some of this stuff! I always thought this looked cool in other towns. I’m only sorry they’re charging so much for the skins…i would have loved to have a whole bunch of “brothers,” but it looks like I’ll have to make do with just the threevfree skins (plus #1 and #908 that coffee with the Lodge). I’m also sorry that they’re charging a truly outrageous amount for the table, since I know there are some tasks that need that. But I was glad too get the daycare center for free! 🙂
I think it’s great that EA is following (and vice-versa) Tinyco in this regards, TC brought the best of for 2014 in FGTQFS and I think the Stonecutters event had to be one of the best for 2014 in TSTO as far as generosity for Freemium dedicated players, for those whom committed it was possible to achieve most stuff and there were enough cash purchase decorations / etc / bonuses to keep everyone involved!

Of the stonecutters skins, I use Arnie Pye the most, because it gives him a 12 hour task and one hour task that doesn’t put the helicopter in the way.
Smithers is probably second, because I don’t love having him be a hideous drunken wreck all the time, and I like that it gives him a one hour task that doesn’t tie up Mr. Burns.
Mr. Burns taking a dip in the money pool is also a great task.
I also like that they give 2 hour tasks to every one of these characters.
I’m not sure, if I hadn’t gotten them for free, if I would add them to my town, except for Smithers. I use his alternate 12 and one hour tasks quite a lot.
I don’t see a point on spending donuts and real money on these items. So I am ok with the two free costumes and tube slides.
I got all the skins and characters back during the event so at least I can save my precious donuts. But I may pick up a few more tube slides.
I bought at least 10 slides (I already had several in my town, but regretted not having more) and a bunch of walls/fences. I never got around to buying the abandon warehouse and don’t really regret it. I’m still on the fence about the pyramid… I have the donuts, but I’m really hoping for a Valentines event.
I am actually very happy that I can get the tube slide now because (I don’t know how) I forgot to buy it in the stonecutter event and was so sad that I couldn’t add it to my stonecutter daycare center playground …
I don’t mind the little comeback of the event but I am sooo impatient and just hope the valentine’s day event is coming soon !!!
aand I think it’s very cool of you to do such detailed reviews and should i buy’s for the newer players 🙂
I’ve already got all non-premium ones from the event, but I’m curious if Burns comes with the money pool (or if there’s another way to get it during this sale). That is definitely a neat item (consumerism?) and a fun task, so if it is obtainable I’d probably say that Burns’ skin is the one most worth donuts.
I just hope it won’t replace the valentines day event.
I picked them all up-lots of donuts spent and I’m sure more to spend coming in wave 3, but I like them and it is important to me to have the complete set. Picked up several slides, I’ve envied many neighbors that have those. I also picked up 100 wall pieces to store away for later and may grab some more before they go away.
Not having Dr Hibbert this past year has drove me a little crazy.
I am glad I was able to get him now becuase he was the one charecter who I had, who had a Stonecutter skin, yet I did not have the skin.
I like on the times I’m just looking to play as little as I can that I can load everyone up on a 8 or 24 hour stonecutter task, then to clear it’s one click.
I don’t have Jasper at all, and picking him up does not appeal to me, especially if they might have some valentines day thing next … kids are a higher priority because they tend to be used 2 or 3 times per year and having more is good for that.
Got a few slides and will likely buy more. Of course picked up on the free Skinner skin but don’t think I’ll bother with any of the premium ones (already passed on Lenny-Carl-Arnie the last round so I most definitively wouldn’t have a complete set). As for items that will be available until the end, I’m still debating getting #51, but the lack of a 12h task, unless I also get the table (which I find is a bit too expensive for what it is) is making me hold back on dishing out donuts for him right now.
Got the tube slide the second I saw it was available. May buy a few more and keep them in storage until I can get around to making a kiddie park for my town.
