UPDATE: FYI… as there is NO end dates listed anywhere outside the 24th, we went off the details in the game itself and what we can see. They look like they will overlap, so we are looking at it like that.
But to ensure the info is accurate, I am already in contact with EA to confirm if they only go a week or overlap for sure… so tap wisely.
UPDATE 530PM EST: Spoke with EA on the date, it seems that the studio does not have a response just yet. Waiting for further clarification which may take a few days. From what I am getting and what I am seeing… I do NOT think it will end in a week with that many Carbon Rods needed. I still believe they will overlap, but will poke around til I get 100% clarification. Lol. 18500 in a week would be impossible… so I still lean for Event end.

OMG OMG OMG OMG HOLY FRAK!!! I am LOVING this Event so far. The drops of items are coming along quite fast. So much going on and LOTS of time to do it all in.
Now I know some of you STILL will worry where you are in the game, so of course… IT’S CALENDAR TIME!! 😉
As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER release so you can factor in time to get to the complete unlock of the Event. And will close it out one day BEFORE the current set end date of the 24th to ensure you have a “safety net” of acquiring the items.
Here we go…
The 3 Issues are going to overlap one another, so I will keep the 3 Calendars separate to avoid confusion.
UPDATE: In order to help you stay on track with the way the event looks to be unfolding, the following is an UPDATED Calendar to help you stay on track for Issue 1 Prizes by the time Issue 2 launches.
For the Issue 1 Prizes:
400 Carbon Rods – Arbitrarium
7000 Carbon Rods- Mr. Burns State Prison
18,500 Carbon Rods- Clown Face Outfit
More information will be coming on the MATH of earning the Carbon Rods as well as a lot more detailed info on the Prizes. So keep your eyes out.

the carbon rods are really easy to get. the things to upgrade HQ are not…which annous me. the only thing about this even that annoys me. the cofs were like that. it was nearly impossible to upgrade without spending donuts. otherwise…i can’t stop playing. the criminals “creeping” along the streets crack me up!
The criminals are flowing in fast… so I wouldnt worry too much.

ARGH! No update has hit in the Kindle App store yet… A little frustrating that it feels like we are (once again?) already behind. Wish we knew why there was a delay — or when it would finally hit. I figure the minute I put anybody on a long task, it’ll finally appear.
Can’t even friend because apparently everyone else has updated already, so… *Sigh* I guess I’ll get there one day.
dont know if anybody noticed but you can get a extra start on collecting carbon rods in the beginning.. i try to explain. all your friends have a 24h clock. now you just go true all your friends and tap the thiefs an hit the phones. as you notice the clock wont put itselfs on 23.59 but just contienue to calculate downwards. so actually it means that you have a good possibility to tap double on those friens wich clock is still counting. ´note… it onlyworks for the first time. i got already +1500 carbon rods and the building level 2

So excited about this update reading your fantastic info given. Again only gripe is the release time for the uk 🙁 building will be finished in a few hrs so cause it’s bed time. I will have a gap of 4-5 hrs before being able to get carbon rods.
decided that instead of clicking my neighbours just now I am going to wait til morning for carbon rods or would need to wait even longer. But can’t wait for it to properly start.

I just logged back into my game to tap some criminals and there was a green rod above my HQ, as well as the yellow radioactive man sign. I received 45 rods when I tapped it (20 + 25). Just wondering what they are from and how often they occur.

The rod is to collect on the building. Like getting money and XP. Instead HQ pays game currency. Tap on the HQ and it will tell you how much it pays out when it times down.

So i got the license and did the task to sky finger 3 friends and tap 3 criminals. It said though i’ll get better prizes for tapping cons but i got nothing just $$$$ and a donut. I did do half my friends this a.m. so could it be that? How many rods do i get with the license compared to without it?

Im so mad at myself for sending all my characters on 8 hour tasks this morning. I still have over 3 hours before I can start playing
I did too but when I found out this had started, I began storing the building so I could free Homer and Lisa up. And using 2 donuts to speed up the HQ was worth it! 🙂

How do we feel about the event so far? Is it doable for people who play once or twice a day? Or will it require you to be tapping every 4 hours. I’ve noticed that after last year’s easter event I was able to fully complete all events with no donuts spend to speed things up. I really hope this one will be fun in this way.

Since I couldn’t download the upgrade for around 2 hours we’re a bit behind and haven’t got around to building the SS HQ so I can’t really say anything about the real Contents of the update. But what i’ve seen until now, it’ll be pretty cool 🙂

Eek! My inner (and outer) nerd-girliness is in full throttle with this event :))) How funny has the dialogue been so far? I actually been taking screenshots of all the dialogue to create a sort of digital comic book of it all, it’s been that good!! After the disappointing few months EA has given us since Christmas, they have more than redeemed themselves:) Thank you EA, and a special thanks to My Favorite Addicts for once again doing all that you do to for us, your crazy, loyal, addicted, blog following neighboreenos.

Its so great. After stonecutters i thought cant getting better. But here it is.
Its funny, in germany we had the last weeks superhero time on one tv canal. One movie follows the next, and we got the flash and gotham series.
And now its superhero time here.
Superhero year, hmm? If it is i have some ideas for them to go in the world to shake some people for getting a better mindset and we could get peace.

What i saw as i build the new things and put trees away… You can now put a tree in the store-box (dont know the word sorry) and it automatically grabs the next tree for moving or storing. What a good thing, make it a lot easier to build and store.

Issue 4 must be somethis really good for them to keep it totally hidden, they have never done that before.
So far I’m loving everything about this event. It completely makes up for the lazy black market stonecutter sale and the so-so valentines mini event!
It’s really hidden deep too in the files. So they’re working on keeping this a secret for this, that’s for sure! 🙂

I think it’s planned. I have a theory things will come to Krustyland, so it’d be there way of helping us no spend our tickets. Hopefully anyway.
This event is awesome. Off to a good start, for the first time I’ve rushed the build – I just couldn’t wait! Rushing also meant I could do my neighbour visits at the normal time and gain carbon rods. With one round of visits I’ve already collected 1580 rods, so I think I’m ahead 😉
My favourite thing is tapping on the criminals, happy memories of classic Batman 😀
I am LOVING this event. I have gone full force at it. I currently have 21835 carbon rods. So excited about all the goodies.

Do you know, if we can earn Carbon Rods after issue 2 is released in 5-6 days? If we want to get the prices in issue 2-4 I think we need to collect both the carbon rods, the pie bombs, and the freeze rays in 33 days, right?

Depends on how often you plan on playing. If you’re frequent you should be ok. If you’re limited then I’d get it. But get it now to maximize the most use out of it.
