The week long speculated Superhero Event is Here! Currently it’s live on Google Play, iOS and Kindle!
Remember this is an App Store update, so you’ll have to check your stores for the latest version. If you don’t see it in your app store, and it’s out, hard close your store app and reopen it. If you still don’t see it restart your device. Should bring it up.
As always more details on the way as soon as we go through them…remember we’ll be updating as we go, so keep refreshing this post for the latest info.
Also note, Homer needs to be free for the first part.

First thing you’ll notice is Springfield has a new look & everything (dialogue included) is in Comic Book format! Pretty sweet looking touch!
As mentioned above you’ll need Homer free for the first part. He’ll have a 30 minute task and then you’ll unlock….PIE MAN!
(Free)
Pie Man will then have a hilarious 4hr task, to throw pies at Springfielders. Lisa will then need to be free to start Part 3. You’ll then be tasked to build the Superior Squad HQ. This will cost you $500 and comes with Fall Out Boy! This is also a 4hr Build.
Once you’ve gotten Fall Out Boy you’ll see this video play…
At that point you’ll then see the Event stuff unlock! You’ll also be tasked with tapping Criminals to earn the game currency, Carbon Rods.
Details for all will below…
Now let’s get to the new stuff….
Superior Squad HQ- $500, 4hr Build. 5×6 in size. Comes with Fall Out Boy. This is upgradeable..
Wrecked Brown House- $50,000 (You can buy as many as you want. Currently NOT functioning as a building. No payout. Not tappable.)
Fruit Bat Signal- $5,000 (You can buy as many as you want)
Premium
Tar Pits- 175 Donuts. Earns $150, 13xp/8hrs. 11×9 Comes with Petroleus Rex
Crap Silo- 100 Donuts. Earns $150, 13xp/8hrs. 4×4. Comes with Spiderpig!
Superior Squad Member- 90 Donuts. Just like the hunting license from Halloween. This will double the rewards for capturing criminals in friends towns
New Characters
Fall Out Boy- Comes with the Superior Squad HQ
Petroleus Rex- Comes with the Tar Pits
Spider Pig (Plopper)- Comes with the Crap Silo
New Currency
The currency for this Event, at least right now, are Carbon Rods.
Collecting Carbon Rods will help you earn the prizes for Issue 1.
Issue 1 Prizes
Like other events, this one will be released in Phases. Here are the prizes you can win for Issue 1:
Arbitrarium- 400 .
Once unlocked you can earn more by tapping on the Criminals. Arbitrarium will help you upgrade the HQ. Each upgrade does various things, like gives you more currency etc.
Burns State Prison- 7,000
Clownface- 18,500
Other Issues
Again, this will be released in phases…4 total phases, 3 prizes per phase. So there will be a total of 12 prizes all together. Here are the release days for each phase (so far)
Issue 2- 2/24/15 0800 GMT (3am EST)
Issue 3- 3/10/15 0800 GMT (3am EST)
Issue 4- 3/24/15 0800 GMT (3am EST)
The understanding is that all of the other stuff will lock out on the 24th when Phase 4 launches, and the actual event itself will end on the 31st of March. BUT you’ll have to get everything else in game before the 24th.
You can also get a sneak peak of what prizes are for each phase by tapping on it in the game. However, here’s a quick rundown for Issues 2 and 3 (again Issue 4 is still a mystery at this point)

Criminals
Right now there’s only 1 type of Criminal in our games and they look like this:
Tapping on the Criminals will give you Carbon Rods (15 per Criminal to start) and occasionally Arbitrarium (see info on it above). Remember Carbon Rods will earn you prizes for Issue 1 and Arbitrarium will help you upgrade your HQ.
The spawn rate on the Criminals is at least 1/ 5 mins and you can have a Max in your town of 30 at one time.
HQ Upgrades
As with events past, you can upgrade your Superior Squad HQ for even more power & currency when tapping Criminals!
Once you’ve unlocked the Arbitrarium prize, you’ll unlock the ability to upgrade your Superior Squad HQ.
Arbitrarium looks like this and will occasionally pop out of Criminals (in addition to Carbon Rods) when tapped. Think Cog Wheels with Christmas.
Friend Visits
AFTER you’ve tapped your first 20 Criminals you’ll unlock the ability to go to friends towns and arrest/report criminals (to earn more Carbon Rods).
Here’s what you can do. You can either Arrest Criminals in their towns (Tapping on them) OR Report on them (tapping on the phones over Buildings).
Phones look like this 
For each arrest you make (tapping on Criminals) you’ll earn 3 Carbon Rods.
For every report you make (tapping on the Red Phones) you’ll earn 1 Carbon Rod.
You can tap 3 Criminals/town AND 3 Phones per town, for a total of 12 Carbon Rods/neighbor.
We’re checking into a couple of things at the moment…like number of actions/day you’re limited too & if the counts go down at all. Once we have numbers/details we’ll update this post with it.
Now…when you return to your Springfield if you see a red phone Radioactive Man’s Glowing Signal, if you tap on it right away you’ll get 4 Carbon Rods. (a gift from your neighbors) 
We’re also checking to see if this declines & by how much with time.
Note: As long as you’ve reached the part in the questline, AFTER you’ve cleared the first 20 Criminals…you’ll be able to earn rewards from both tapping phones and Criminals from visiting neighbors. Even if they haven’t started the event. Both will appear in their towns for you to tap. However, if you don’t clear the first 20 Criminals and reach the part of the questline telling you to go into neighbors towns and Arrest Criminals/Report on them…you won’t earn Carbon Rods from tapping Criminals, only from reporting on them. So make sure you clear the questline first BEFORE visiting neighbors.
Remember: If you buy the Membership Card you’ll earn double Carbon Rods in Neighbor’s Towns.

When I first played today, I cleared handshakes and dollar signs and sent everybody on 12-hour tasks, then started in on neighbor visits. Hmm, first one went OK but when I went to my second neighbor — one that’s always up to date in her game, even if she is kind of a bum — the game said she had newer content than I do and it was time to upgrade. Arrgggg. So now I’m waiting for all those 12-hour tasks to complete so I can play. 🙁

For clarification, I played early yesterday, and didn’t get back into the game last night (Wed night — MST) so I completely missed the update yesterday too…. ***sigh***
I’m loving this event , but as I’ve looked at the prizes ( all of which are great ) I can’t help but notice all the load screen charcters are there except Bart-man , 😱 issue 4 maybe final prize 😩 the tension is killing me …… Up side is looks like im ahead of schedule 😎.

One other nice side effect of the new release is that now Selma doesn’t default to the Revolving Restaurant task. It’s the little things… 🙂

Not sure i’m following what you’re asking….
The game will only let me tap other people’s telephones. Any time I tap other people’s criminals, they just stop walking, straighten up, and sort-of grin. At the top of the screen, it says that I’ve already used all my “criminal taps” when I havent. Help please.

3 of my real life friends have not updated but I was still collecting carbon rods off criminals. I am almost positive that after a friend i visited updated I was given the 3 criminal taps back that gave rods again.
Help! I CANNOT get my game to update. It’s probably a Google problem, but what happens is it insists that I need to be signed into my GooglePlay account to update it. I couldn’t get Google + to open, and sure enough there was an update. Post-update, Google + can’t get on the server. Idk if there’s some other way to sign onto my GooglePlay account or if my tablet’s being contrary or if it really is somehow related to the game developer or what, but it sucks that I’m missing this event! D= Is there a techie in the building?
Try to uninstall the app and sign out of your app market. Then shut down and restart your device and try to log back into the app market. Once done, then locate the app and reinstall it to see if that will force the update and work. Usually it only asks for a log in if you put in place some settings to avoid charges on your app market from happening. I have to sign in at times to buy donuts, otherwise I am complete access.
So check all your settings in google. Contacting google too may help you with that to see if you have some lock in place you accidentally put on prohibiting any apps from being added. Free or not.
Omigoodness, never mind. My tablet is super dumb and refused to update the game downloaded on MY GooglePlay account unless it’s simultaneously signed into my fiancé’s account, and he changed his password recently, so it was being contrary.
When I do my friends list, I’m not getting cash/XP unless I only get to tap on the invaders?
I’ll be missing that cash/XP
but I guess it’ll be relaxing – I’ll just do part of my friend’s list and stop when there aren’t more invaders
BUT… you will get it from your own town. The $$ and taps are separated so you can collect all you want.
i hope you find the time limit soon on carbon rods / neighbor visit taps. I have multiple times spam tapped through villages only to realize after a handful of villages I have only collected money from criminals (there seems to be no limit on the 1 rod per telephone tap) but still getting the 3 rods for tapping buildings.

Thursday night I maxed out and by Friday late morning I was able to recollect full carbon rods(off criminals) from neighbour’s I yet to visit. Though it has been almost 12 hours since I could collect from criminals so my assumption of a 12 hour reset is false. I will spam all my visits in until criminals give only cash so I know that i was maxed out Thursday night hours after event went Live. Thinking maybe there was a glitch with neighbors i collected from that didn’t have update yet. Not going to complain about a glitch that favored me lol. Go spider pig go!

I didn’t see that but there’s seems to be a limit on friend criminal.They normally drop 2 rod bar (5 each I think, unsure) but after some friends (forgot to check how many), only the phone give carbon rod bar. So there seems to be a limit on how many we get from friends criminals.
90 Action limit (or 30 neighbors at 3 criminal taps each) on the Criminal taps. After that you’ll only get Cash and xp
This is a fun event so far, but I discovered this morning that you can’t trade in Krustyland tickets at the gate anymore. I wonder if this is a temporary thing that they had to suspend because of the event, or if it’s a sign that more Krustyland stuff is coming soon.

My game isn’t advancing, I updated and I havent gotten any of the buildings or anything the dialogue stopped, is this supposed to happen or is there an issue that needs to be fixed?
Did the dialogue auto start for you? Did you send Homer on the first 30 minute task? What’s the last thing you did?
So I have completed the required quests and yet when visiting neighbors, I still do not see the red phones. It’s jut the regular icons above buildings. Why is this?
Did you get the pop up to visit neighbors during the questline? New Hero Rises Part 2? Are your neighbors updated and showing they are collecting Rods too?
I don’t specifically remember getting the pop up, as I usually blow through those. But if I completed the quest shouldn’t I be where everyone else is? I have friends who did the exact same stuff as me and they are fine. And if I go to their towns, I don’t see red phones, even though they see it on other people’s towns (we have many shared neighbors).
It depends. If they have any to tap on (if they don’t clear out their town of Signals..there is nothing to tap).

I finding hard to believe that all 100 neighbors would have nothing to tap on. Also when I go to my other Springfields, there is no indication under each town showing how many red phones and such they have. It’s like my town was updated but once I leave my town it’s not applied. This seems like a glitch to me.
Where are YOU in the questline? If you tap on your task menu lists… what tasks are there? What are they called?
Hey I just noticed that before I progressed enough through the story (I was able to tap criminals) my buildings kept getting vandalized (like several times within hours of cleaning) because other players were further along than I was. You might want to make a note of this so others will know why their buildings are suddenly getting vandalized a lot.

Maybe someone already commented on this, but when you tap on a phone in your neighbors’ town, it activates the animation for that building. How cool is that!
Mt devices crash everytime the app tries to play the video. I cannot move forward…
What device are you playing on? Could be a compatibility issue. Try a hard close and restart, if that doesn’t work try uninstalling and reinstalling. If that still doesn’t work it’s time to contact EA.
Even though I’m not a comic book reader I like this event so far, it’s fun. Picked up plopper straightaway and love that he’s an animal with a bunch of tasks. I have a question though, does the game tell you when you’ve tapped all the criminals in your town? I haven’t had that happen yet. Also, naturally the update hit right before I’m leaving on vacation, so friends if you read this, know that I’ll be back next Friday and will try to get into my game at least every couple days if I can! ❤️
Hi I’m level 3 on the head quarters and its still only giving me 15 per criminal is this a glitch? And it says extra hand of justice power but nothing has changed since the beginning….
It increases the payout of the HQ not the Criminals.
I almost fell from the chair when the siren went on the first time, notifying a neighbor reported a crime! WTH!
I am really enjoying that fresh wind of superheroes in my town It will hopefully be fun the next weeks. But I have to admit that the neighbor part is a little bit disappointing, just tapping through all neighbors as always. Hope it will change over the next issues.
The Wrecked Brown House that blew up with Radioactive Man has reversed back to normal Brown House in my Springfield!

I bought the membership card but can’t see anything saying I got it. The donuts left my account but should I get a card or icon? Doesn’t seem to be getting more rods. Also any more info on tapping the radioactive signs / does it make a difference how fast we tap them etc. Thanks so much for all your valuable info!!!
Nope, you’ll see nothing except a popup saying you purchased it. What will happen now is when you tap criminals in your friends towns you’ll get 6 Carbon Rods per tap instead of 3. But this only applies for criminals…doesn’t count for the Phone Taps.
Is Petroleus Rex an NPC or usable character? I wanna buy Tar Pits and silo but not sure.

We do not know.
At this point, we don’t know. EA has got the details for Issue 4 very tightly guarded so it could be something we see later. For now…he’s not there.
This is the best event ever!!! I have two questions:
1. Do you still have to leave things (dollar signs, menus, cash registers, etc.) over your buildings for Friends to tap on, or do the red phones appear regardless? I’d like to clear my town and get the cash, but I don’t want to leave my Friends high and dry with no phones!
2. When tapping in a Friend’s town during this event, is there still vandalism? I’m reluctant to tap on buildings, like Moe’s, that normally cause vandalism, but there does not appear to be any distinction in terms of red phones being all the same on all the buildings.

i am not able to tap all three criminals in some towns. When I tap, they stand straight up but it still registers 0/3 criminals. I can tap all 3/3 of phones. I have deleted and re downloaded but no improvement. Please help.
If it says 0/3 it means you have ZERO taps left. You used up all your daily actions already and need to wait for your 24 hr clock to reset. Once it does… you should be able to tap away again.
Does a little pop up appear if you clear all the criminals from your town like it did with the last one?
Just I’m driving myself mad trying to find all the baddies and if there’s any hiding in my housing estate.

I don’t know if this is 100% accurate but I’ve noticed a bell sound after every criminal I catch. When it stopped I couldn’t find any more criminals roaming around. I think this may be an indication of all the criminals caught. Btw, love the new background music! Reminds me of Superman the Animated Series.
It’s possible…I currently play with the sound off (since I’m usually at work). Anyone else test this theory?
There is no notification when the criminals are cleared out of your town. Best way to look for them is by using the x-ray function (click on the cross arrows and then on the tree/bench, house and water/road). This will leave only characters. You can scan your whole town in a short time to find any “hidden” criminals.
So this post says you can tap both the phones and the criminals in every town. I have only been able to do that once; for ‘Other Springfield’… anyone else having the same issue- or know why this is?
After a restart- it seems to have corrected the problem. Very odd though.
