So now that we have an all new event to keep our tapping fingers busy, you know what that means right? Time for an all new Turbo Tappin’! As I mentioned in the rundown post, Homer will get this started for you (should be an auto-start) when you log into your Springfield. So let’s get to Tappin’ shall we?

If run from start to finish, with out using donuts, it should take you 40 hours to complete!

Since the update that started the 4th of July stuff, I’ve noticed a glitch where every now and then the character voices (and possibly even building collections sounds) are reduced in volume by like 2/3. When it starts doing this in my game, it seems like approx. every 5th-7th (guesstimate, haven’t really counted/kept track), voice clip (/building tap) gets reduced in volume. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

Mods, have you guys heard anything from the developers about this volume glitch? Are they planning on a patch to fix it?
It’s been an issue for a little while, but no word on a patch at the moment
Alissa and Bunny are going to hate moderating this post, but I’m curious how many people feel strongly pro or anti pride event.
Pride event for what? Like the one we had in early june? Or something else?

(Just noticed that funny autocorrect in my post… Clearly I meant “questline,” not “waistline”…I need to be dealing with my waistline right now! Lol! (Seriously though… Being relatively bed-bound for about nine months and feeling too sorry for myself to watch my diet as much as I should have (not to mention hitting the “Big M”) has really taken its toll. Need to lose as much weight as I can in the next 7 weeks or so, before I take my summer vacation at the end of August…)).
I did make a mistake. I went back to where I got the information and saw that I misread it. So no 13 donuts for this waistline, I mean questline. Sorry!
I keep wishing for Kodos. And while I’m wishing, I want Madame Chao’s/Mindy to come back.
I started working on the Tapped Out wiki, and I updated Kang’s description a little bit 🙂

Love it! Was starting to get bored of Tap Ball. My players are all near 4 stars but losing to a 5 star is almost as rewarding as beating a 3 1/2 star, and I get to “pocket” 2 bottle of juice each game.
I have 13 open tasks, with Lisa needed for 4 of them! She’s much in demand in my Springfield.
It made my day to get Kang by surprise (and for free). Sometimes its the little things in life that can just cheer up a bad day.
Now to check the app store to see if I can download Happy Little Elves… 🙂

it quite annoying how this is in the middle of another event, OK they cant move this but they should of done tap ball at another time as my homer and lisa are now off doing 4th of July quests when they could be doing tap ball quests earning amateur buks

Haha the American flag costs cash, but the United States flag costs 5 donuts!! Lol
He came with the Ray Gun in Halloween 2012 so technically cost donuts but has been awarded for free in Halloween 2013 and 2014. Funny fact Kang’s Crashed UFO is the oldest limited item that has never returned to the store (older than Mapple Store). If you look at the two crashed UFOs they are slightly different as the fire is in different places
YEEES, finally I got Kang! He is one of my all-time favourites. I really didn’t expect him to be free. Well, I didn’t expect him to be there AT ALL. I’m so happy right now =)
This whole holiday just wasn’t really interesting to me at first, as far as I’m not from America (forgive me my ignorance).
I quite like this update don’t have Kang so good to get him 😀 but will u get anything else free like donuts on July 4TH
Definitely not taking Homer away from his tap ball activities for this! Will deal with this waistline after the event is over (if at all…nothing really all that interesting about this quest, since I have Kang and already bought alkaline the fireworks I wanted).

I like this update, the fireworks have a cool animation and it’s nice to have another president in the game. Like a lot of people, I’m surprised they picked Nixon, I was expecting Thomas Jefferson or George Bush Sr.
This obviously isn’t the thread to ask this, but I’ll ask anyway…
Was the lady duff glitch fixed after the patch? I never bothered to send Homer back on that 8 hour task once it was reset for fear of being locked out again. I was hoping someone else would be the sacrificial goat and then comment on the outcome, but no such comments were found.
Honestly, I wasn’t impacted by the glitch so I don’t know for sure. Anyone else in the community, can you verify?
I believe it was fixed with a patch during one of the updates. Several users reported it fixed and I believe Bunny mentioned it on one of her updates.

Umm I’ve started the quest, and don’t have Kang, but also wasn’t awarded him, or at least the pop up didn’t show

YOU can buy fireworks cheap. For me everything in this game costs a fortune and I work my poor characters to the bone for every costly building and irritating character. I’m pleased with Kang and thrilled with the fireworks. Tapball makes me only mildly homicidal.
Quite totally unexcited as I already have Kang. And I have also bought many boxes of fireworks .
Wish I’d know that I would get a box of fireworks after completing the quest line. I wouldn’t have spent cash yesterday buying one.
Should I start this questline now or can I wait until the end of the event? Between this quest and putting characters in non-event earning tasks for the daily challenges I feel like I’m losing a lot of amateur bucks!

I’m so glad you asked that as I was wondering the same thing. Now I can put that on hold and get back to Tap Ball. To bad they didn’t give us Kodos, I don’t have him.
Kodos is premium but I’m surprised he isn’t for sale to complete the set. I bet he’ll reappear come Halloween.
Until now I didn’t have either of them, and was patiently waiting til Hallowe’en. Now hoping Kodos shows up in shop soon (or free, later in this event if that isn’t too much to ask) so I can complete the set.
Is the Presidential Estate limited time? The only fourth of July item with a timer is Nixon.

Not really..you get free fireworks, but you can buy them with in game cash.
The boxes aren’t even that expensive, I’m skipping this on to focus on tapball. Was hoping for a more exciting challenge, could be cool for those who don’t have kang
yup no incentives at the moment.. you can get the fireworks for 5600 cash. which is quite reasonable as well.. I’ll focus on tap
Oh snap, looks like Homer’s going to have to take a brief respite from reffing! I had no idea this unlocked Kang! I’ve wanted Kang and Kodos ever since I started playing – figured other neighbors had picked them up from Halloweens past and that they were beyond my grasp. Well this just makes my day. (Sadly?)
Also how long do we have to complete the questline cos I need homer and Lisa free to get event currency was gonna just get as far as kang being unlocked then wait and do the rest after soccer event has finished
Usually about a month from when it leaves the game…so August 9th is the kill date for the questline
Yay to free kang I knew I weren’t going crazy 😀 has he previously been freemium or was he a donut purchase in the past?! Not bothered about the free fireworks already got ten in my inventory lol if they’d given us one of the donut fireworks that would have been nice lol
I believe he’s always been free. He usually comes out at Halloween for free in some capacity.
Kang was a premium purchase with the ray gun during the first Halloween event in 2012. If you didn’t have him at Halloween 2013, you were awarded him with the Victorian UFO, and Kodos became the premium purchase with the ray gun. I am guessing that, if you had already purchased Kang in 2012, you would get Kodos with the Victorian UFO, as I did not hear a big uproar about this at the time, but I am not sure, as I did not get Kang during Halloween 2012. I had just started playing then–I reached level 5 on the same day that the Halloween 2012 update hit, so I was still trying to figure out the game while trying to navigate that first event, and I didn’t have this great site for help. Crazy times!
That’s right…i forgot it’s been so long. Yes, if you had the Ray Gun already you could shoot down Kodos in 2013..I believe. Everything’s all fuzzy lol
