Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Just like long time Tappers thought (and I mentioned yesterday in the Community Prize Post)…EA has made some changes to the Community Prizes!
The first prize of 10 Donuts, which initially required 110,800,000, has been dropped to 3,266,000!
We’ve also got another prize that’s been added…1,000 Amateur Bucks.
I’ve got to do some digging to see what/if the rest of the prize amounts have been dropped, as soon as I have the info pulled I’ll update this post.
Update: The chance for the Sports Ball to drop one for you to actually get in your town has increased from 20% to 68%. So now the odds of one of the balls in your town adding to your account to drop again are now up to 68%
Until then…for all those that doubted, keep in mind when we say these things have a way of working themselves out…it’s from experience that we know.

I dropped several balls in the towns of friends but I didn’t get the community prize. For the quest, I had recovered a ball dropped by a friend and when I placed it, the quest (both purchase and place) was completed. Granted, I didnt “purchase” a ball… But I didn’t think I had to with the quest complete… I’m wondering if anyone else had the same issue.
Did you get the popup? Or just didn’t see your donut counter change?
I saw the pop up but there was no change in donut count. Sounds like I’m not the only one with an issue so I’ll just wait to see if there is a fix from EA.
As an aside, a big thank you to you and the rest of the TSTO Addicts team for moderating the site. It’s a great resource and I visit often. Your time and effort is appreciated.

110 million. 22 per second times 60 times 60 times 24. 1.9 million a day so over 50 days to the second goal.
I was watching it when the 10 donuts were unlocked but it doesn’t seem to have added them for me. Was on 199 but never updated to 209. Help!

I didnt receive the donuts
I didn’t get my doughnuts. I got the 3 mill and it said I earned the prize but nothing. Hopefully it’s a small glich. Waiting on wife to catch up n get them.

So, the 10 donuts have now been unlocked. But the second stage is still needing 110M balls! 🙁

Just noticed the price drop for the soccer balls after receiving the 10 free donuts. So glad I didn’t get more than the one mandatory 500 bucks ball during the questline – immediately started getting a few balls for the adjusted price and spreading them around.
Is everyone supposed to get the 10 donuts right away? I didn’t get them added to my bank but it says it has been unlocked?

I think there’s something wrong in their coding and the 110 mil is supposed to be overall or something because now it says the second prize is that much. That’s a huge jump.
Has anyone else’s game not updated? The community prize prices were lowered, but my balls are still 500 and I can’t see the new prize. I’ve already tried logging out/in and reinstalling. I was hoping it would fix itself with the community prize, but we just got the donuts and nada. I’m on android and in Ireland, if that makes any difference.
It should have fixed itself. For some reason the patch didn’t hit you. Try contacting EA

We reached the goal. I launched my game, was notified of the Community Prize award, but I am 98% certain I did not receive the 10 donuts. I am interested if I am the only one, and yes, I have performed a hard restart. And, of course, the next prize costs 110 million.
Nothing in life is free – including Community Prizes – for that is what I received – nothing. 😡😇

I started taped out only less then a year ago, it wouldn’t let. Me sign in with my face book account or any other accounts, so I played solo, during the tewilliger events I tried again and there wasn’t an issue. My question is, I have spent money and worked really hard getting my town where it is, if I were to sign into Facebook or something along those lines now, would I have to restart my town from the beginning??? Please help! James
You have to create an origin account to save your game. Just go to the friends screen and then hit the icon again, you’ll see the option to login with Origin. Then you’ll be able save your existing account to Origin.
I’m very annoyed. I spent 500 of my hard earned amateur bucks on a ball for the greater good. Now EA has reduced the price to 40 amateur bucks. It would be nice (and fair) to see a refund of those bucks in my game. Those first 500 were not easy to come by with my 2-star ranked team. It would be nice to have that extra scratch to purchase some additional stadium decos.

I contacted EA and was not granted a refund for “in-game currency”. Perhaps I should have asked for a refund of some donuts a purchased that cost me “real world currency”.

I’m guessing that I may be the ONLY one who thinks this, but…
When you see that big beach ball bouncing around in your town or someone else’s town, does it make you think of Rover from “The Prisoner”?
The cynic in me thinks it was a deliberate strategy to drop the price of goals/balls. Like wanting to borrow $10 off someone and asking for $100 first so when they say no and you ask for $10, they think it’s a good deal! 😉
I doubt that this is the place for it, but I just saw a ball bouncing in my town for the first time, tapped it, and collected one; how exciting! I didn’t think I’d receive a single ball seeing as my name is all the way in the “m” section so I was really happy to get to tap it 🙂
I had bought 3 or 4 of the balls when they were 500 bucks. Its a group effort. Happy they dropped the price and goal amount. Definitely gonna buy about 30 right now
I’m not surprised they changed that. With the original goal not even the first mark would have been reached before the end of the event.
