This got me excited for a second.. i hope they arent planning an Event around just one episode (marge vs the monorail) cuz that would be weak. Im HOPING it encompasses some of Homers odd jobs… if it is an Event. The monorail alone could only be a week long quest not an entire month.
You do realize much in the game Event wise is usually one episode centered, right?
Just like many items tossed in here n there are just blips of seconds in an episode too.
It’s amazing the creativity that can go into Levels, Episode tie ins, and Events. 😉
Yeah, it could definitely be an entire event too! But I’m hoping it’s an expansion.
I’m not worried about new stuff in the game because EA is always gonna keep ’em coming, but I’m so tired of the perpetual crashings 🙁 I’ve completely stopped visiting Krustyland and my neighbors. And I don’t want to stop playing the game, but it has become exhausting D:

I have yet to go back an watch this episode tonight but this is totally Monorail Homer, as all the comments below say.
BUT that’s not why I’m writing this, I’ve just been over analyzing the grayed photo of Homer and have to ask what is in his hand? Or what does speculation say is in his hand? Just a question (could be part of the skin but like I said I have not checked out the episode again). (:
Look at the link I posted in the comments of screen shots from the episode. Either a Conductors stop watch (typical of the outfits) or the CB radio Marge talks to him on from the episode.

Secondly … I went to look on the Facebook link that you posted and was really surprised to see people inviting you to hack your game!
It made me appreciate the positive and friendly community that we have here on TSTO Addicts.
Oh yea that’s all over EA’s Facebook page unfortunately. They have no control over it, it’s kind of sad. Some simple keywords would block those comments out

IM assuming at the land to the right of heights will be opened up. That or we get shelbyville etc
Betting monorail lines will be placed over roads with each segments grounding posts on the sidewalks. That would give it a trolley car like look but would reduce on the need to completely remodel. Except for placing stations.
Fingers crossed that something will finally be happening on those quiet streets
As excited as I am for this expansion, I am a little cautious.
1) No character voiced by Phil Hartman has appeared in this game. So thats one character from the episode out.
2) Despite the “other” game having celebrities and celebrity voices in their game, we will not get Leonard Nimoy, another massively important character from this episode.
By all means, tell me how great this expansion will be without the two biggest characters from this episode.
I could see them introducing Lyle but sadly you are right that he probably won’t be voiced. RIP Mr. Hartman. As for Nimoy, I’d probably blow a gasket if he entered the game but I don’t think it would be a failure without him either. If you’re bottom line is those two, then yes, the expansion/level/event will not be up to your standards. Bottom line for me: this is my ultimate favorite Simpsons episode and I’m cautious too because I want this to be like Christmas in August… only time will tell but I think there is so much opportunity for this to be awesome with or without the characters. Would it be better with? Well duh. Can it be good without? My opinion is yes provided we can call the big one Bitey.

Ooh good one. But “Something” melts this jaded heart. Old Brown Shoe makes me groove. Two Of Us has some of the most amazing vocal harmonies. I could go on and on and on.

I am fond of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” and adore “Come Together”. So many to pick from.

Oooohh… I love me a good Rancor. Remember “The Courtship of Princess Leia” when they go to the Rancor planet and fight the witches of Dathomir and Anakin appears for the second time as a force ghost and Leia snubs him? Wow… now my geek flag is certainly flying. I’m sure you can guess my favorite character… it’s definitely big, furry and will rip your arms out of the sockets when it loses. Funny beacuse I actually like a few different wooks but Chewie is my spirit animal.

When New Hope was released to theaters in 199? For the special edition me and my friend drew Rebel insignias on our temples and practically drew Blood clawing at each others legs from excitement when the FOX fanfare started. Our friends sat a row behind us out of embarrassment
We rent out a theater and dress up to go watch them when they hit theaters. It’s a blast.
Yr kidding me, sounds awesome! Yr in Colorado right? I’m in NYC so guessing I’d need like $50,000 to rent a theater. My neighbor put a sheet up on our fence and is always playing movies out in the back, I really want to ask him if I can watch Star Wars on it but don’t want to be “that guy”
Lol… I’d say “come on over”. BYOB. I’m that neighbor that hangs sheets up on wall, Barn, side of house, w/e is available and have a fire/BBQ while we geek out n watch movies. Invite neighbors to join. Lol. Projection screens are awesome.
The theater in SLC for 250 seats wanted $10K. But that was EP 2&3. Idaho was bout same. Now with optional 3D & IMAX… Waiting to see their asking price for the new one. Lol.

I was there for all of them… the rereleases and Eps I-III… actually arranged a squadorn movie night for when we got III in Okinawa. For 7 I will be in my wookiee cosplay in all its glory… can’t wait.
“Blackbird” and “Happiness is a warm gun” also rank high for me but I’ll agree it’s difficult to pick one thing when you love something so much. I basically go by, it all brings me joy but that particular one makes me ecstatic whether it’s lumped with the rest or stumbled upon by itself.

I want this to be amazeballs too. I really do. Not since Stonecutters have I been so hyped for an event. I love the Monorail episode. I want this to be great, as great as can be. I agree, we can still have a great event without Nimoy and Lyle, but if we got them…….. I would go nuts.
Please don’t misunderstand. I want this to be an amazing event. I do believe it still can be, even without the two main guest stars. I am very looking forward to the mechanics of how they will incorporate the monorail into our Springfields.
I am still going to hope for Nimoy. It wouldn’t matter how high priced they would make him, I would buy him in a heartbeat.

Ack, I can’t read everyone’s comment before I make my comment.
This feels like it could be an event. So, if it is an event, yay and all, but will we be able to keep the monorail? Will we have to spend donuts to get enough track sections to do anything worthwhile? (That fear was brought on by how the Tap Ball stadium parts (seats, fences) were ridiculously hard to achieve without using donuts.) Will overlapping with roads, lakes, buildings and similar be possible?

Funny, I saw that episode last Sunday (Fox LatAm has been doing a great job airing all the “classics” lately).
Just checked the episode. It IS Monorail Homer. Same outfit and cape.

I can imagine this, either going around everything, or being a cool animation to another Krustyland! Like you tap on the Monorail Station, and it moves off into a looping animation of the Monorail until it loads the new area, and then it slows down and stops!

The monorail came to mind recently when they introduced SH and wondered why they would waste so much time on something that would infuriate most players when there is a list of things “addicts” would go crazy over that could have been done instead. I’m pro Monorail and hope that the reason they been taking so much time to bring it in to the game is because they wanted to get it perfect. Can’t wait to see how they incorporate it into the game. Donuts crossed.. I mean fingers crossed.
Monorail!! Of course, I just spent all my cash buying another strip of land, so I need some time to recoup my losses haha
It’s definitely the monorail skin. I’m a little worried though how fast EA is going through updates. We’ve gotten a lot of highly requested things this year. I’m just worried that after we get the monorail there won’t be anything else on the “want list”. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a Gil deal for a lot of donuts and a larger decoration.

Don’t forget, what I think is the number 1 character, building, etc., MAGGIE. Until she is in the game as a real character, there will always be one more thing they need to add. Plus there are so creative, to be able to make complete events based on one 24 minute episode, they have characters and skins that were not on screen for very long and buildings that seemed to just appear in the background now have a permanent place in our little(not so little anymore) games so I’m not worried that this game could go on for a long time, even after the show stops making new episodes which is at least 2 more years, I think. (On a side note I’m very happy that all the main voices are coming back.) They have more than 25 years of episodes to draw inspiration from so I hope this game never ends. Thanx and have fun.

Too many of you clamored for the monorail, and not enough of you spoke up against it. I’ve been antimonorail and have been vocal about it. You brought this monstrosity upon us and I will be done very soon and stop spending money.

I may be negative periodically but at least I’m not annoyingly positive all the time. Tell it like it is. This has been a very weak stretch of TSTO.
The funny thing to me is that I completely disagree with you and am by no means annoyingly positive. I do try to be friendly. There’s actually ways to express negative opinions with a smile… I believe it’s somewhere between snark and sarcasm. Honestly though, if you don’t like our brand of attitude… not much we can do about it. We are who we are.
Yah Alissa… heaven forbid that we have FUN doing what we do… while playing a GAME… when games are SUPPOSED to be fun. Sheesh. How dare we enjoy a game? THE HORROR! 😛

Why in the world (of Springfield) would you be against the monorail? You don’t even know how it would look or work. Maybe we won’t have to move anything around. Would you want it then? Shoot. If it is the monorail that’s coming, maybe it would circle around Sprinfield outside the borders, or maybe in the mountains (that can’t otherwise be used). Maybe it would be a Krustyland addition. There’s plenty of room there to play with. Shoot. We already have a Krustyland bus stop. Why not a Krustyland monorail stop? There’s all sorts of things that the EA designers could do with the monorail design. Why don’t you just wait and see before you complain about it?
Because… like they admit… they DO complain about everything. I still don’t get why if someone hates something so bad, all they do is come here to complain about it. If you don’t like something… move on. DON’T PLAY. Let those of us who DO enjoy it to… well… enjoy it. Trolls will be trolls. 😉
You know, I used to play three games premium. Then two and and now only one. Not because of the cost but because of the time consumption. But I have always known that it was MY TIME I chose to devote to TSTO. I’m giving you the benefit that you are very young. If you are unhappy, instead of being a Donnie Downer on this site you should perhaps move on to some place else. EA’s or whereever hasn’t kicked you out yet. The people that run this site deserve the respect you are apparently unwilling to give them and probably have better things to do with their time than read your posts.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I’ve been so anti monorail it’s crazy. It will be hideous. Not to mention non canonical as they tore it down after that one episode. How will it run? Is it like a street? If so, we have a TON of rearranging to do. Is it a placed item? If so it will be too small or too large. Think about it people, bad idea and EA listened to you all. This could be the nail in the coffin that kills TSTO for me. Show died years ago and now the game is dying. Sad. And I know all bunny and Alissa so is say I complain, but I am Always right about these things and how much of a let down they are (i.e. heights, all the terrible recent events, one appearemce characters, etc)
I’ll agree to disagree… arguing about canon in TSTO is a pointless endeavor. Monorail is my favorite episode and I’m stoked. If the game stops being fun then definitely don’t play but I’d say wait and see what it’s all about. I’m sure if we compared opinions about different events, we’d both feel like we were right lol.
I agree 100% I was hoping it would be small decoration, like an entrance with part of a broken track coming out of it about 1/4 The size of the gorge. However if EA is teasing it, you know it’s gonna be big.
And my advice to Bunny, Alissa and Wookie… stock up on Red Bull now! If the heights were glitch filled, imagine an update of this magnitude.

I did speak up but I’m afraid we’re in a minority on this one. I’m not quitting over it. I’ll just ignore it as much as I can unless building it unlocks characters or items I want, I can always store it. Besides no matter what Halloween isn’t too far away. Honestly in my opinion, although some things fall flat; Easter 2014, Clans, The Heights. Their only total blunder was Krustyland
I just find it odd that you can be judge, jury, and executioner on something that does NOT even exist yet. It is like someone saying they HATE something and never ate it, read it, watched it, etc. It is fine to have opinions. That’s great. But I always say, wait til something is actually live and in the game before passing judgement. Otherwise you are making complaints about something that doesn’t even exist. Know what I mean? 😉
If you indeed do not like it when it does go live, then like you said… pass on it. No hurt in that. Think of it like a premium. Put what YOU want in your game, customize it to YOUR liking, and pass on what you don’t.
Won’t stop those that do like it from enjoying it though. 😉

I’ve just always cringed at the idea, seems like a layout and technical nightmare. The other part is it’s such an iconic episode I don’t want to see it turn into a train wreck.
Not trying to rain on anyone’s parade. I love this game too much. It’s just become like a child to me and I want to see it grow up right.

Like I said, to not like something is just fine. There are things I do not like about the game too. I just personally wait til it is in the game to judge it myself. See the mechanics of it. If it is glitchy. If it adds to the overall fun or theme. Etc. Trust me, we ALL want the game to succeed. I am still heartbroken that MY Event (Easter) crashed and burned. Some cool elements, but failed execution. Made me really sad. But the Positives of the game still far outweigh negatives, so I keep enjoying and playing. 😉
I agree, I jumped the gun. I’ll probably end up loving it. I do that. Thanks for the Smack Down. I need those from time to time. (To me the term Smack Down is a good thing. My Best friends have always been the ones to level me when I need it. In college one of my best friends would literally Smack me upside the head when I needed it. In high school my algebra teacher would watch over my shoulder and Smack me up back the head when I made a stupid mistake, I need people to do that, thank you) maybe I’ve just been hit in the head too many times

I’m not going to be able to get in until Wednesday/Thursday, I hope this isn’t limited time, or at least not before then! I would love this skin with the monorail, an expansion for Heights with this would be nice, but I’m sure it’s too early after release for that.
