Just what does Act 2 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
First….if you don’t see content (questline) for Act 2 check to make sure you’ve completed the Act 1 Main questline. Details on that can be found on this post.
The switch from S’mores to Gummies will happen even if you didn’t finish the questline. But the next questline will NOT start unless you finish The Call of the Campfire from Act 1.
New Prize Currency for Act 2..
Gummies
You’ll earn Gummies similar to the same way you earned S’mores in Act 1, but with a few changes. You can earn Gummies…
-By tapping nightmares, which will still spawn from the Campfire the same way they did before. Each nightmare tapped earns you 1 Gummy.
-OR by sending kids to Roast S’mores as the Campfire. Yes…the action is still there, now it just pays out Gummies instead of S’mores. IMPORTANT NOTE: You’ll only get Gummies from the Campfire initially. Once you unlock Everscream Terrors (Springfield Horror questline, see details at the bottom of this post) you’ll only earn Nightmares from the Campfire. Nightmares will still earn you 1 gummy for each one tapped. But at this point the Gummy earning direct from tasks will be transferred to the adults.

SS from AFTER unlocking Everscream Terrors (Completing Springfield Horror Pt. 1):
-You can also earn Gummies via the Daily Prize Combo. So basically Login everyday and you’ll earn Gummies.
-They’ll also be awarded when you complete the MAIN questline, which is The Very Young Folk and The Springfield Horror questline. (Turbo Tappin’ will be up later)
-You will also be able to have Adults Gather at the Simpson House and through special Halloween themed facades for various buildings to earn even more Gummies. This will not unlock for you until you start Springfield Horror, details are towards the end of this post.
Formless Terrors
Yes, they’re still around for Act 2 and work exactly the same as they did in Act 1.
Shopkeeper’s Challenge with Hugo
Today’s (Tuesday) Shopkeeper Challenge is:
A LOT of you are getting confused because it says make S’mores..and s’mores are no longer available as a currency in the game. HOWEVER…this is simply telling you to have Hugo do the task of “making s’mores”, i.e. Roasting them at the campfire (since that task box says “send youngsters to make s’mores”). So simply do Hugo’s task there and it will clear this task for you.
I promise it’s that simple and it’ll work. Don’t over think this (or any other aspect of this game) it’ll just give you a headache…

Act 1 Craftables are still around but they’ve added 5 new craftable items for Act 2. Both Act 1 and Act 2 craftables will remain for the ENTIRE event.

All of the items below leave our stores when Act 2 ends on November 3rd.

Fairy Kodos- 40 Donuts. An outfit for Kodos. If you don’t already have Kodos you’ll have to craft first.
Everything above you’ll see without completing any of the new questline. However, once you complete some of the new questline that’ll trigger more Act 2 stuff to start. Completing The Very Young Folk Pt.1 will then trigger Homer to start Springfield Horror. After you complete the first part of Springfield Horror you’ll trigger more Act 2…
The following appears AFTER you complete Springfield Horror Pt. 1
Completing Part 1 will automatically turn the Simpson House into Everscream Terrors….
At this point you’ll now be able to send Adults to gather at the Simpson House. This takes 8hrs, but will earn more Gummies than the Campfire.
Here’s a list of who can go, at least initially:
Homer- Earns 24
Marge/Witch Marge- Marge Earns 24 Witch Marge Earns 36 (if you have Witch Marge it will automatically default to her)
Grampa- Earns 24
Luann- Earns 48
Kirk- Earns 24
To bring this option up, just tap on the Simpson House…AFTER you’ve completed Halloween of Horror Pt. 1.
At this point you’ll have to complete parts of Halloween of Horror to keep moving through The Very Young Folk questline. So if you don’t see the next part of one or the other trigger, try finishing the other pending questline first. I’ll explain it better on the Turbo Tappin’ post…
Once you reach The Springfield Horror Pt.3 you’ll have 3 new items added to the crafting Menu…
Moe’s Terror- 500
Kill-E-Mart- 500
Krusty Murder- 500
These are all facades for Moe’s, Kwik-E-Mart and Krusty Burger. Basically costumes for buildings.
Each of these buildings will unlock MORE tasks to earn Gummies for the Adults…
Moe’s Terror- Unlocks the Unwind with Wine Task for adults, this is a 2hr task. Here’s who can go and what they can earn:
WIllie- earns 6
Sea Captain- 6
Lenny- 6
Homer- 6
Carl- 6
Kill-E-Mart- Has an Adults only Have Fun with Cameras task. This task taaks 4hrs. Here’s a list of who can go and what they’ll earn:
Homer- 12
Cletus- 12
Krusty- 12
Comic Book Guy- 12
Marge/Witch Marge- Marge Earns 12 / Witch Marge Earns 18 (if you have Witch Marge it will automatically default to her)
Krusty Murder- Has a task for Adults only to play with food, this task takes 1hr. Here’s a list of who can go:

Wiggum- 3
Quimby- 3

These have some “interesting” graphics for Homer outside of the buildings….
The Sunken Temple will unlock in your store…for free..once you’ve triggered The Very Young Folk Pt. 5. (Placeable in water only)
At that point The Very Young Folk will end To be continued in Act 3….

Gotta say, I’m liking this Halloween event. I’m very pleased to now have hugo, kodos, and Kang amongst some sweet decorations. The impossible tower!
So I am upgrading my phone very soon and I realized I had no idea what my origin login was. I’ve been playing for 2 years faithfully and lost my entire springfield. After shedding a tear or two (sad, I know) I made the decision to start my new springfield immediately so I can participate in my fave two events, thoh and christmas.
But it’s killing me having all of these side quests just sitting there because I’m only on level 30. I like to have them cleared.
I’m excited for after Christmas when I can beautify my springfield, because right now everything is just stacked up.

Huge thanks to the TSTO Addicts team for all the awesome info!! I was able to (mostly) grind it out & only use 2 donuts to rush a kid making s’mores to get the Gate to Nowhere! Loving this event so far & Act 2 is off to a fun start. Kodos as a crafting prize? Totally made my morning!
Happy to see craftable prizes I’ve missed out on in the past & looking forward to as many tents, sheds, & brambles I can hoard to make a hella creepy Crystal Lake style campground!

The fairy outfit for Kodos is so freagin’ cute and I am not even into fairy’s lol but still! I play this game strictly freemium, and as we freemiums know, it makes it difficult to earn a good stock of donuts. Wasn’t sure I wanted it, ’til I saw it flying and waiving it’s magic wand, in one of my neighbors town. Think I gotta have it! 🙂 Will most likely splurge the 40 donuts out of the 67 that took me forever to save!!! :/ On a separate note, Alissa, you must be having the baby soon! Before I purchase Luann with my final donuts, do we know if her outdoor costume (or lack thereof) is temporary for only this event? I have the Santa costume for Homer which he can use year round. I’m just wondering if we’ll be able to have her do her squirrelly shimmy and shake after the event.

I’m curious about the job to sleep in the bad dream house, if that’ll be permanent. That animation makes it my favorite building!
Hard to say at this point. It’s a job associate with the event, but doesn’t mean they won’t make it permanent. But like most things we won’t know for sure until it’s over..
I figured it would disappear after I completed the quest buy since it’s still there I got my hopes up.
If the sleep task stays I hope they will push it down where it belongs in the list.
Fit Milhouse always defaults to his 1 hour task and if you have Bart free Tenacious D defaults to their 4 hour task which is at the top.
Getting annoying. I stored Bart to push him back in the list so I’d quit accidentally sending them on that task when I was trying to do something longer.
Of course once the employment office comes back it’s less of an issue.

Just a piece of advice, if yr like me and snatched up Kodos’s new skin right away, wait until the event is over or until Yr going to be away from Yr game at least 8 hours. The first task is beyond annoying. Though having her fly around Yr Springfield admittedly looks cool it comes down to try to tap a nightmare, get zapped to yr Simpsons house, try to tap a nightmare, get zapped to yr Simpsons house, try to tap a formless terror, get zapped to yr Simpsons house, repeat this process until you smash Yr phone into thousands of tiny little pieces.
I think it’s glitched, too. Fairy Kodos has finished his task, but I have no way of collecting. Clicking on the Simpsons house says “go to” then asks if I want to spend an unspecified amount of donuts to speed it up. I’d very much like to get this out of the way!
And of course not 10 minutes after I typed that, I’m finally able to finish the task.
It acted weird a little for me to and once I ignored it fixed itself too. That being said, I probably won’t use the 4 hr task again.
OK – so what’s the “mechanical ghost” supposed to do? I’ve placed it, but the coffin just seems to sit there & not do anything?

It shouldn’t do that. Once you tap it it opens and a ghost pops out. Try storing and replacing it.
If you have Kodos flying around Yr town that’ll make you go back to the Simpsons house even if she’s nowhere near where you tap.
D’oh! My kids are ready in a couple of minutes! and I started part 2 of the adults before reading! Shoot. Also, sent all the adults on 24 hour tasks. Have some storing/unstoring to do! 😛

So who does everyone think the next previously premium/event only character will be for act 3. What I mean by that is Hugo was available for purchase with event currency in act 1 (and still is) and now Kudos who was previously a premium character is now available for purchase using event currency. I’m hoping for Boobarella or that witch lady (I forget her name).

my guess is that the halloween party wall and the wailing wall are supposed to be swapped. the last two halloween events the wailing wall was 50 freakin donuts! reducing the cost to 20 would seem like a fair price for its third year in the game, while the halloween party wall would definitely make more sense priced at 250 brains, with a 0.1% multiplier… just like the spooky walls have a 0.05% multiplier and are priced at 200 eggs.
in other words, stock up on your wailing walls and keep setting those zombies to spawn, because it’s probably only a matter of time before they patch this! 👊

Hmm, looks like I may have to forego the monorail donuts this week in favor of earning the event currency, as there will be very few people who aren’t involved in the campfire or the adult revelry. Or maybe I’ll try to get through that quickly, since I’m already off to a good start for the week, before shifting folks over.
I’ve already all but given up on advancing Springfield Heights during this event.

No it’s completely intentional. And will continue with each of the facades, just different characters will be blurred.

****ANNOUNCEMENT****
EA has before, and almost definitely will continue to, re-release some premium items as “free” prizes, or for in-game cash. So, please factor that into your decision when making premium purchases.
If you’re going to be upset if/when that happens down the road, then don’t spend donuts on that item now. If you want that item for certain now, rather than just as a free possibility in the future, then by all means do purchase it, but don’t come back and complain later if it does become available as non-premium item, because you knew that was a possibility and you made the decision to spend the donuts anyway. Think of it as *that’s* what you were paying the donuts for – the ability to have it *now* and for certain!
(Exemptions to this will be made for times when a premium item becomes non-premium within the same event, like with those islands a while back…)

P.S. The same applies for Gil’s Deals that offer premium item purchases at a discount. It’s understandable to be disappointed if one of those comes out right after you’ve just purchased the item and it’s fair to post a comment expressing your disappointment when that happens…just don’t say that it’s not *fair*!
It does seem that they are far more likely to release premium *event* items for free later, though. Not sure if they’ve ever had an always-available premium item later free (though they’ve done the reverse…I started playing a bit after whacking day and can’t bring myself to spend 250 donuts for Barney).

Thank you, Sandra! I agree that this is a chance you take with any purchase (not just in game world, but in real life too). Older items tend to drop in price. I bought Otto for full price a week before a Gil “back to school deal” that included extra items, and STILL cost less than I’d paid. Sure I was annoyed, but such is life.
People should also remember that when they purchased Kodos (and/or Kang) they came with “accessories”, that are NOT part of the Freemium package. So people like me, who have only been playing for 18 months or so, and did NOT spend donuts to purchase the aliens, still do not have those accessories (crashed UFOs? Ray Guns?).
Also, many many items that were awarded for free to older players have only become available to me through donut purchases. I suspect these items far outnumber items that have gone from Premium to Freemium.
People who purchased Kang & Kodos awhile ago have had the pleasure of them in their games for that much longer. And I suspect a great many of those players have lots of free items in their towns that I will probably never have without forking over a bunch of donuts.
Lol – that Gil’s Deal happened, like, a week after I started playing. I wanted Otto so badly with that great package, but, of course, I only had collected a few donuts by then and couldn’t buy it. I’m sure I would have wanted Otto anyway, but, missing out on that deal made Otto my focus until I could finally buy him.

I’m really disenchanted with the Halloween costumes for the buildings other than Everscream Terrors(Excellent episode btw!). The designs are all inspired by this years events theme and to me will looks silly to put out for next year. It’s just a real shame that they couldn’t of made them have a overall general Halloween theme design.
Any advice appreciated. I’m on lvl 27. Since Halloween started I’ve not been doing tasks that need the kids so I can use them to make smores. I have Bart, Lisa, Millhouse, Kearney, Squeaky Voice Teen, Hugo, Martin and Nelson, and I only got about half way to getting the portal. Do I complete the tasks I’ve left to get more characters in the hope of getting more gummies or just keep on with the bonfire? Illegitimate concern pt2, my brothers keeper pt 1, krustyest place on earth pt 8, Nelsons educational experience pt 3, a victimless crime and something for the resume are the main tasks I have waiting. If I’m close to getting another character I’d complete it! Thanks in advance
My advice right now…look at the list for adults (since that who earns gummies now) and go with them. See who you have/who you don’t have. And see how that will help. You’ll need Comic Book Guy, Quimby, Wiggum, Lenny, Carl, Kirk, Grampa, Marge, Homer, Krusty, Cletus, Skinner, Willie & the Sea Captain. (also Luann, but she’s premium so I don’t count her). At Level 27 you should have….Homer, Marge, Krusty, Cletus, Skinner, Willie, Comic Book Guy, Wiggum, Grampa Lenny and Carl (but that’s right at Level 27…so you could be close) & the Sea captain. The only Gummy earning adult you won’t have is Kirk. So honestly, you’re in good shape. As long as you have those adults. If you don’t check out the walkthroughs to see what you’re missing and how soon you’ll unlock them. Complete those quests as a priority over any other quests (i.e. ignore Krustyland for now and my brother’s keeper)..

Ugh. Yeah, the problem for me is that I’m on level 15 (started a little over a week ago) but behind on quests. The comic store is in motion and then I’m at Allies at Last part 1. I will be keeping as many kids as possible on the fire while doing quests to advance my actual game. I ended up purchasing donuts in act 1 to get characters & may end up doing it again. I don’t even have Marge! I guess that’s what I get for starting the game during the event…
It’s always rough your first event when you just start. But don’t get discouraged. You probably wont get everything, but you’ll have a chance to get items you missed down the line. For now just focus on what you can and have fun 🙂
Why do I only ever get ribcages when my neighbours click on the Formless terrors? I have so many of them, it’s not random at all.
I’ll take them!! Ribs are the hardest to get for me, but I’m swimming in bunny ears! Ew…
I don’t get what the pattern is with that either though. When I log in and see who I got what from it’s usually a lot if one item and 0’s of all the others, but when I click formless terrors in MY town, I seem to get a bit of everything.
Looks much more interesting than the first act that didn’t have much going on. It’ll be nice to not need the kids at the campsite so I can use my nightmare pile. My only complaints are no new characters, I’m going through withdrawl. I haven’t gotten a new one since the last level. The other problem, it still doesn’t look like Halloween. It must be in their files from previous years. TURN OFF THE LIGHTS!!!! Makes be fear there won’t be snow at Christmas.
I dunno about yours but mine has the same slightly darkened screen border that all the other Halloweens had .
It’s slightly darker, barely noticeable on the edges. Last year the whole screen was darkened and my favorite, was two years ago when it was dark with passing clouds. Everyone was complaining it made the gremlins hard to see.

Regarding not *needing* the kids… I’m pretty sure there’s still good reason to keep them going, since they help in leveling up the campfire, which increases the rate of nightmare spawns… which could potentially become critical to getting the last prize at the end of each remaining Act. So unless you’re playing with plenty of premium characters, you might want to keep those kids going. Just a thought.
Oh yeah I have every character in the game. And I can only send one kid trick or treating at a time with the pile I don’t think it’ll affect my progress too much seeing how I’m almost to the second Gummi prize and got the gate with 6 days to spare. But thanks for the advice.
Still debating what to do about the monorail, I desperately need L pieces, have 18 straight long and 12 short, can’t continue my design. And without pulling tons of kids away from the event that will leave basically the hippie and that protester Jesse. Don’t think I’ll get my 5 weekly bonughts with just them.
So Im onthe search for m’nster quest with Bart and Lisa and I was also able to send fallout boy to search.
Yea, fallout boy is considered a youngster for questlines but not for the campfire task (go figure)
I think the thing that is strangest about it is that the quest line is specifically for Bart and Lisa, but the task is there for Fallout Boy. I thought it was odd, too.
As the story line goes, Marge completes the first task at Everscream Terrors . . . I did not get Witch Marge last year. Will we see her available at some point, or is this not yet known? I was rather young in the game last THOH. .. I did not have the donut capacity to acquire her.

Not getting those teleporters is one of my big purchasing regrets in the game. I wish they’d bring them back, especially now that my Springfield has grown so much 🙁
I agree….my town was really small at Halloween last year because I had just started playing a couple of months earlier, so I couldn’t see the point in getting those transporters. But now, with many rail yard at one end of town and Springfield Heights at the other, I *really* want them. Wish they had brought those back instead of some of the other retreads. 🙁

lol yes. It seems like a lot, but it’s not. Usually when we do the polls an overwhelming number of players enjoyed the event. Just usually when you’re unhappy about something you tend to voice your opinion more than when you’re happy.
Why do you only mention that Witch Marge can craft at Everscream while in my game I’ve already sent regular Marge? Maybe the witch skin is required if you already have it.
Speaking of this…why not offer Witch Marge right away, EA? *sigh* I’m ready to buy her. :'(

Could it be that you have Witch Marge so that was the option given to you? I also don’t have Witch Marge so I was offered regular Marge.

This set of craftables made me a lot happier than the last one (not considering Hugo). It was also a lot more fun since I breezed right through the sidequest, what with all the event currency I had (about 2k of each).
I really liked the balloons. I know they don’t do anything…but it made me feel like a kid, I guess. Why do kids like balloons!?
I got Kang, of course. Love having my alien pair! Only thing is that I really can’t tell them apart. I’m considering keeping Kodos in the pirate outfit…lol.
4 out of 5 craftables are retreads. Weak. Is there no way to get around crafting the stuff I already have? I broke down and crafted a second Spooky House in Act I (even though I had it from last year) because I figured I needed it to advance he quest.
