Here we are in the middle of Act 2 and something in our game has restarted today…the Shopkeeper’s Challenges!
So let’s take a look at what you’ll need to do for 5 days during week 3 to earn bonus crafting currency and 20 bonuts!
Normally I wait until Tuesday to post these, just so I can verify the first couple of days…and make sure they match what we see in the files. BUT because of the wrong wording, everyone’s having trouble with today’s (Monday) task, so I opted to post these now. If I see anything that changes though I will change the chart on those post to match…
Here’s what the Shopkeeper has in store for us this week…

A Note About the Bunny Challenge (Monday, Day 1):
Monday’s Shopkeeper Challenge is:
However, as many of you are noticing, if you squish Bunnies it doesn’t add to the total. That’s because EA goofed on the writing. It shouldn’t say Squish Bunnies, it should say Squish Skeletons. So if you tap 30 Skeletons it will clear the task for you.
Bottom line: For Day 1, squish SKELETONS not Bunnies.

Zombies today isn’t working for me. Anyone else having trouble?
Yep. Currently on skeletons in my town. Tapped ~10-15 zombies in neighbors’ towns. None counted. Another ripoff.

Yeah I experienced this too. I hit do it to try to get them to count and they still don’t count. I do not know what the heck is wrong with this game other than too much going on at one time!!
Nope – they worked fine for me. Got all 100 done in a few minutes (since that’s what I had the kids making overnight).
Great fun, and Donuts too! I am waiting(?!?) for EA to respond. I bought Donuts, and then bought and placed the Ghost Ship, then it vanished! A real Ghost! And I am out 250? So far, 3 days, nada? Anyone have a clue?
All I know is those weird things happen some times. But you did the right thing by contacting EA…they’re the only ones who can restore it.
Do you have to finish the daily challenge that day? So can I finish challenge over a two day period or will it not count?
It will count. You have the week to finish all 5.
What is the cutoff to finish all 5? Midnight Friday? Or can you finish later? Saturday?

So, tomorrow’s task is to squish zombies….hope this isn’t another derp by EA and we really have to squish snakes. Will be checking this site first thing when I wake up just in case lol.

Okay, I’m embarrassed to have to ask this, but I’ve read through pages of comments on each of the three shopkeeper posts and can’t find the answer…
I know that the shopkeeper tasks don’t have to be done on the day that they unlock, but do they have to be done in order? Do I have to compete today’s task before I can compete tomorrow’s?
I’d rather not have my kids tell a story until after the Rail Yard stuff is done for the week (because my Martin and Lisa both work there, and I’m only interested in spawning zombies or snakes), but I don’t necessarily want to have to try and complete all of the week’s challenges in the time I have remaining, if they have to be done in order.

You have until Monday at 7:59am to complete it (but i’d finish by sunday to be safe) and still earn donuts. And nope, they don’t have to be done in order.

You guys! I’m on day 3 I have to tell a story and i am doing it now 26 mins left but in the shopkeepers challenges it doesn’t show that one is “in the making” like wth I’ll wait till ‘tell a story’ finishes and hope I’ll have 1/4 done ://

I came on here tonight to see if other people were having an issue with getting their story telling and have fun with cameras tasks to count…I have told so many stories and hit do it over and over and I’ve only gotten credit for 3/4 in a matter of 3 full days of this. I think the glitch is you hit do it and it only releases the kids from the fire, then you have to hit do it again to release the storyteller and then you get credit. That’s the only thing I have been able to narrow it down to. So silly to have to hit it more than once to get credit. Heck after you press do it one single time, you should get credit for every time there after!!! But what are you going to do?
Today’s challenge says…
“tell a scary story at the spooky campfire”
Not sure how to do this, do I need to store all my kwik-e-marts apart from the one with the Halloween skin, …but will it work if there’s a glitch outside the door with a blurred snake and Marge (not an event snake, the character Snake) as in “rob the kwik-e-mart” …….maybe it would be easier if I got Frink’s deal ? but I couldn’t get it because I have Otto, SO unfair ……..

Interesting that the bunny/skeleton issue is a general one. Since my game has been on the fritz since act two started, I thought I was the only one… My snake logs are spawning bunnies, my pet cemetary does skeletons, my mausoleum zombies. Not reliably though. Plus, upgrading the campfire is difficult because the counter doesn’t register the required ‘squishes’ (Dory anyone? “He will be my Squishy”…) but mostly others – asking for snakes, counting zombies for instance.
I hadn’t realized that as long as the challenges are unlocked you can complete them in any order. That makes the challenges even easier to complete. I decided to wait until the natural campfire upgrade cycle to tap the skeletons and assumed that I’d have to finish that task first before it would credit me for the camera tasks and was pleasantly surprised when I got credit for Day 2 before completing Day 1!
How do I squish skeletons?
You tap on them.
I’ve sent them all to have fun with cameras but Marge is now outside the Kwik-E-Mart and she looks all blurry. What’s going on? Is my game broken? 😛

OH MY GOD YOUR GAME IS POSSESSED!! The ONLY way to save it is put your phone on the ground with TSTO open, hop up and down on 1 foot while patting your head and rubbing your belly 10 times. Then stop, spread your legs 15″ apart, put your hands over your head and make your palms touch each other with your fingers pointed towards the ceiling and spell image and then say light bulb.
If that doesn’t work…then put one hand over your left eye and spell I-cup. And if that still doesn’t work the ONLY way to fix it…the be all to end all…is to right Pen 15 on your forehead 😉

The problem with that is the store didn’t put a timer on it (rarely does for episode tie-in items)…
On Act two this week. Have Fun With Cameras. Every time I hit the do it button. It brings me to the prize lot when you craft new items. I am lost and have no idea what it wants me to do?
You need the kill-e-mart facade for the kwik-e-mart, which can only be crafted, to do it.
Anyone know how to earn Tuesday 10/27 shopkeepers task (Have Fun with Cameras x5)? I can not make sense of it. When I click on the “Do it” blue arrow, it takes me to the Kill-E-Mart, but I don’t have an option to have fun with camera. Thanks in advance.

My day 2 is broken. Says will be ready in 3 hours but it was 8am ages ago and the 3 hours actually corresponds to when the adults will finish having fun with cameras. Also there are 2 buttons over the top of each other one to rush the task for 2 donuts and one that says go to.

It’s not picking up my squished skeletons from neighbor’s towns. It hasn’t picked up on them since 25/30 and I’ve squished 9 more skeletons since then. Also, the game keeps lagging then shutting down on my kindle.
Try the basic Troubleshooting tips we offer for Crashing and Lagging all over the site. If it continues, contact EA for further support.
Still loving the game and the event, but the whole bunnie/skeleton error was frustrating. It went on for about 10 hours for me. I contacted EA and they said they were working on it and then when I woke up today, I finally figured out that they had made an error. A whole day wasted squshinh bunnies. ANd what is the upgrade for the fire for me today? BUnnies of course. UUUUghggggh!!!!!!
On a side note, I recall reading that the craftables from act 1 and 2 will disappear after act two. But am I correct in thinking that the Snake eggs, brains, Bunny ears and bones will still be the items used to make new stuff available in act 3? I don’t want to lose the items but don’t really want to craft tons of stuff that I might never use. Sorry if this has already been covered.
Time to Squish some Bunnies. Hope I don’t tap those lil’ buggers to hard 😉

Today has been one of those days when all the funny little quirks of the game conspired to make it the most difficult game to play! I literally have been on it most of the day. We were away over the weekend and so busy i barely had time to task out characters.
The formless monsters – every time i tried to click one – ugh! a house opened up or some other building it was near!
The whole bunny/skeleton issue! I had gobs of monsters to drop off at friends, so i didn’t feel so bad about selectively clicking on bunnies. Unfortunately, i didn’t check to see if the bunny count was working until i was mostly done. Then i went back thru the neighbors AGAIN – you know how long that took and now – yea, i’m 2 skeletons short of the goal, but can’t get more neighbor clicking to count, and i’m so not on skeletons on my fire upgrade.
One of those days when you wish the IRS would really task EVERYONE instead of just what they call everyone. Has anyone figured that out yet? Why you can task all for 8 hours – but it’s not really all but some?
Then you have to go back and still page thru the characters to task them.
And i’m getting a situation where if i tap an errant tap – zoom – right back to the everscream terrace – but then i try to click on it and it goes back to the simpsons house and i have to do it again.
Wish we could have all the characters tasked.
Wish the houses wouldn’t switch back and forth on their skins sooooo easily, sorry i like to save the skins for occasions.
arg. kinda frustrated with the game at this point today.
Fortunately, the only other think i really have to do is collect snakes and retask the next storytelling.
The reason why it only assigns some to 8 or 12 hour jobs is because some of them don’t have 8 or 12 hour jobs.. It took me forever to realize that lol
Also don’t think it does the characters that have current quest jobs pending
But right after i sent ‘everyone’ on an 8 hour task, i tap snake and send him on an 8 hour…..and others. so, i don’t quite get it.
The Android version doesn’t work properly (seems to exempt characters who have tasks that are under 60 minutes), but the iOS version works perfectly. I’m guessing they’ll get around to fixing the Android version at some point (or at least I hope so).
An update just hit my kindle and it now says skeletons. Guess i should have worked one more hour. A confused eil shop keeper is still making me laugh.
