In case you missed it this morning in Springfield, they’re giving away FREE DONUTS!
Yes, that’s right. Because the Simpsons have been nominated for the Emmys again this year, EA’s giving you FREE Donuts! Woohoo!
You’ll see this when you log into Springfield today…
Lenny: Hey Homer, you’ve been nominated for three Lenny’s! Homer: Woohoo! I’ve heard it’s an honor just to be nominated for things. Wait, what’s a Lenny? Lenny: My annual awards. Carl usually wins, but I think you’re going to give him a run for his money this year. Homer: There’s running involved?
At this point, you’ll be awarded 3 donuts! Not too shabby for doing nothing, huh?
You have until September 18th to claim your free donuts. So don’t forget to login!
Popping in quick with a post about what to craft with all those Future Bucks when you’re all done crafting everything you really want in Springfield.
Or as a better way to put it…what’s the best item to craft over and over again to gain the most XP to increase your level up donuts.
For those who don’t know what XP farming is, it’s basically a method of turning on your XP Collider (yes even though it costs donuts) and then purchasing one item or another (Rat Trap Trucks and Bloodmobiles are the most commonly used) to gain loads of XP to level up quickly. Leveling up quickly results in free donuts (since you gain donuts each time you level up). Therefore XP farming = free donuts.
For those still confused we have a post about it here and we’ll be doing another post about it once the event is over.
Now, what should you craft to get the most bang for those leftover future bucks? Let’s find out…
BEFORE we get into the Sgt. Skinner Post. I’ve got a couple of poll questions I’d like you guys to answer about him (and unlocking him)…
And this one…
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The nerds have invaded Springfield! Ok just one nerd, and he’s not all that bad. And only in Springfield can Professor Frink, with the help of Homer, open up a black hole that transports doppelgangers, robots and Stephen Hawking (!) to our pocket sized Springfields! This multiverse event hit our devices and it’s full of alternate universe inspired decorations, buildings & characters!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Dark Matter () to unlock each prize!
The fifth (and final) Act 1 Prize is awarded at 24,000 is Sgt. Skinner, because having to watch that episode wasn’t torture enough 😉 …
So let’s take a closer look at this fifth prize and just what happens when you unlock him in your Springfield…
First, let me apologize this is going up later than usual today. It’s been a bit of a crazy day…
Anywho, the recent Monorail return has turned TSTO players into two groups of people. Those that have the Monorail and those that don’t. And we’re seeing LOADS of questions from both groups.
Those that have the Monorail want to know Where Are My Rail Yard Donuts?! Or Is EA Really Getting Rid Of My Rail Yard Donuts?! This is usually followed by threats from some of you, you know who you are, to stop playing TSTO if they take the Rail Yard Donuts away. (which we all know is an empty threat, because you’re a TSTO Addict, just like the rest of us 😉 )
And those that are working on getting the Monorail for the first time want to know How Do I Get the Other Monorail Stations?! Which of course is usually followed by some comments about envying them in a neighbors town and wanting a massive Monorail. (of course those of us that all ready have the Monorail know that a massive Monorail isn’t necessarily a good thing, just look at how long it took me to load Pimp’s town in this video)
Of course, as with all sides of any issue, there are always those of you are are in between. You played the Monorail Event and you missed a couple of things (mainly the Rail Yard) and you want to know how to get it back. For those of you with this particular issue, I recommend contacting EA. Because it should popup for you. So if it’s not, something is certainly wrong with your game.
Oh and still those are those of you…in all groups…having issues collecting trash from the Dump. This is a KNOWN glitch. EA is working on it. I don’t have a time frame for a patch, but hopefully soon. Fortunately, this is NOT a timed Event. This is a permanent addition to our games, so there’s no need to panic.
Now, after that crazy long intro, let’s take a look at the answers for those of you screaming…WHERE ARE MY RAIL YARD DONUTS?! Or WHERE ARE THE OTHER MONORAIL STATIONS?!!
2/8/16 Note About Krustyland/Sideshow You Daily Challenge: If you get this challenge, it’s not working. A TON of players are having issues with it. My best suggestion is to skip it. I know it may pay out a donut, but you’re still better off skipping it for today and moving on. If you’ve already skipped today’s task and this is your second task…best thing I can tell you to do is contact EA. The good news is not completing the task won’t prevent you from moving on in the challenges, it’ll just hang out in the challenge box until it’s resolved.
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So Daily Challenges have hit our games! A fun replacement for the Daily Combo…tasks to do each day for the opportunity to earn donuts! And who doesn’t love free donuts?
While we broke down the basics of the Daily Challenges in the rundown post and the Turbo Tappin’ post, now’s the time to break everything down in more detail. Since I know you guys are all about the details…
So let’s take a look and the finer details of the Daily Challenges…
So a little update hit our games earlier today. An update that brought us a new way to earn donuts in TSTO…Daily Challenges!
Of course as with all updates, this one comes with a fun little questline. One to help guide you through the changes in the game. When in doubt, follow the questline. It’ll help guide you through what’s next in the game.
So let’s take a look at the questline…and just what you need to do to unlock the Daily Challenges in your Springfield!
Here we are almost at the end of the THOH Event and something in our game has restarted today…the Shopkeeper’s Challenges! This is the last week for the Shopkeeper’s Challenges…so hopefully you all earned your bonuts (Bonus Donuts) up to now…
So let’s take a look at what you’ll need to do for 5 days during week 5 to earn bonus crafting currency and 20 bonuts!
