Update: In your games you can see what’s to come, when it unlocks and for how long. That’s a good guide for what’s available over the next 2 days. However, keep in mind MORE stuff will hit (That’s not currently showing) on Monday 11/30. There will be something that’s new, for those players (like Ryan) that have everything…and then there will be some returning items (from events past). (but Springfield Falls will NOT be returning for those holding out hope)
My best advice is if there’s something you’ve been wanting now is the time to get it. Some of you may be holding out for the returning stuff…but don’t hold out too long. You don’t want to miss your chance to get something you’ve been wanting. We’ll post a list of what’s returning from Events past on another post, just so we don’t have spoilers here for those that don’t want them.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Turkey Day…or average Thursday. Personally we had a crazy eventful day that ended up with a certain Tiny Addict way over stimulated and lots of day time sleep missing. Hopefully that means she’ll get some good sleep tonight though! (you can check out photos of Miss. Riley dressed for Turkey Day here)
Anywho…it looks like EA will be doing some Black Friday Deals tomorrow (11/27)…and because we’ve got a lot going on here tomorrow I wanted to give you guys a place where you could discuss the deals with each other (I’ll do my best to approve comments ASAP on this thread). Here’s some basic info from EA via their Facebook…
So similar to last year, it looks like these will be hourly deals. With new items unlocking each hour.
Tomorrow (Friday) is a day filled with my husband and I decorating our house for Christmas and celebrating “Friendsgiving” with some close friends of ours. So I will try to get on here at some point tomorrow morning and give you guys a list of what’s coming and when…but for now consider this post a place to share information about the items with each other. All the sales go up for an hour… than most repeat 12hrs later depending on if it is the first time it’s hit or 2nd.

Thanks… Right now, I see hourly for the next 8:40 (ferris wheel) and then a 2 hr gap (Sprinfield sign) and then a 6 hr gap (Stu’s disco – 16:40 from now.)… Then hourly after that until the end (ending at The Happy Sumo.)… There are no repeats in my Black Friday Promotion… So I guess I get no second chances?
That large (6 hr gap) is repeating items usually. You will see more after Happy Sumo repeat too. It only goes so far.
So I don’t have to set my alarm for 2 am EST? It’ll be available again at 2 pm EST?
Like I said to them… it depends on YOUR game and if you are on the 1st cycle of the prizes or 2nd cycle.

No worries… look in your game. If you scroll through Gil’s Deals… do you see the same items repeating? Or do you see a huge gap of time between one prize and another… like 10 or 12hrs? If you see a huge gap or see the images starting to repeat… then you are fine and just starting a new cycle. the 12 prizes repeat. Disco Stu should just be starting for most… so I assume he will be in your game twice too as he is a “sunday” item.
I am frustrated beyond belief – I truly appreciate all you guys do and my review for EA support will not be a good one. I have been trying to get help for over an hour. Finally called to get a refund from iTunes. So much for stocking up on Black Friday deals. Hopefully cyber Monday will give me what I really have been waiting for and this issue will be resolved – hope that new baby is doing well 🙂
I say … set an alarm, buy what you want, store it and go back to sleep. Better to know you can get it on the Gil deals now than wonder, or miss the item. I’ve bought KrustyLu Studios, YMCA and Cracker Factory … all really good deals and I set an alarm on Cracker to be sure to get it.

Those sneaky little EA employees, I’ve been saving donuts since june and finally managed to get 186, which is just below required for Duffman, who I’ve been dying to get. Now I’m not sure whether I should spend more than half of them on Luann/Disco Stu, who I haven’t ever considered buying full priced, or just let everything slide and get Duffman. Decisions, decisions.. ._.

I was on the fence as to whether to buy Disco Stu or Coach Krupt (I could have had them both if Disco Stu was sold first). I decided to go with Coach Krupt cause of your recommendation of his great animation.
Let me tell you, his bombardment animation is probably my favourite animation in the whole game (burns/BHL Dino ride being up there too).

I like them but the only character I don’t like is Number One, the only thing is they only seem to have one job. They stand in one place and play their flutes or text on cell phones or simply just stand and stare. If you have the nightmare pile they walk around dressed like the twins in The Shining which is super awesome.

I was quite surprised by the amount of free Donuts received on Turkey Day (yesterday) ….. Today? I could do without Gil (most annoying part of TSTO ever – in my opinion) as I save my Donuts to spend on Krustyland stuff, which begs the question(s) … When is EA going to stop ignoring Krustyland? (needs new Ride, Attraction, Decor, etc – some Freemiums & Premiums would be fine!) When will Tappers get to bring more Springfield Characters into Krustyland for Tasks?

According to The Mythbusters, if I remember it correctly, tryptophan does make you a little sleepy (I think..?) but the real reason you become sleepy is the amount eaten 😄

Going to spend more donuts than I probably should (I justify buying them with the logic that I used to pay $15 a month to play World of Warcraft, so it all works out as equal in the end :). Basically if it’s something I’ve been wanting, I’m letting myself have it for Christmas. My only serious disappointments with the offerings are that Barney and the Sleep Eazy motel aren’t on the menu, since those are the highest priced items that I really want to have before I blow my Springfield up in January and start designing all over again.

Didn’t see this, so sorry if it’s a repeat, but can anybody else not buy donuts? I get a connection error and it gives me the screen for buying game cash and paying with donuts, but no option to buy donuts with real money. Kinda sucked cause Santa’s Lil helper at half price would’ve been awesome, but I needed to get more donuts to buy him first.
Try exiting out of game. Log out of your app market. Restart device. Log back into app market. Launch game. Try again by tapping on Donut icon to get more
Thanks for the tip, but sadly didn’t work. Tried force stop and uninstalling the game, still no good. May contact EA, or let it go. Can’t afford anything without buying donuts since I blew mine on Halloween. Worth it though, love witch Marge and the hedge maze!

Between those three choices, I’d personally rank them:
1) Akira and Dr. Nick (2 different characters and a building)
2) Luann (1 character and a building, also unlocks Fleet-a-Pita trucks)
3) Sherri and Terri (2 characters earn twice the amount, but only do one task)
Now here is the very important thing for you given that you have exactly 160 donuts, if you agree with me and opt for choice 1, Akira and Dr. Nick. You have to buy Akira at 2pm EDT first before you buy Dr. Nick at 6pm EDT.
If you buy Dr. Nick first either at 6am or miss Akira at 2pm EDT and get Dr. Nick first at 6pm EDT, you won’t have enough donuts to buy Akira.
Akira first:
160 donuts – 100 for Akira + 30 rebate = 90 donuts
Exactly enough for Dr. Nick at 90 donuts
Dr. Nick first:
160 donuts – 90 for Dr. Nick + 25 rebate = 95 donuts
Unfortunately 5 short of getting Akira at 100 donuts

She has a few awesome tasks & some extra perks & after a year in her mega-ball I still smile every time I see her. Go checkout your friends towns as you might see the tasks in action. For Akira and the Happy Sumo, you pay the original 100 donuts, but then get a 30% rebate of 30 donuts back for a net cost of 70 donuts.
At 30% off, Akira is the third best discounted premium player, behind only Chester at 50% and Disco Stu at 42%.
For those of you who are as confused as I was a couple of hours ago, this TSTO event has two ‘acts’. The first is Black Friday, which everyone has been talking about for quite a while. The second is Cyber Monday, which people outside the US, like me, might not have heard much about. At that point (Monday), more content should come up for sale that is not currently shown in our games. It was loaded a few updates ago and so other websites have revealed the content. It is of a more technical nature and one item currently listed in that is the teleponders so many have been talking about today. Since act 2 has not come into play yet, EA could still change its mind about offering them for sale. But everyone should be aware that more content is probably on the way and they should set aside donuts for that event, if they want to.
I purchased KrustyLu earlier and can’t seem to get Sideshow Mel’s quest to start. I’m level 46, but working through level 33 or so quests. Frinks xtra xp moved me along pretty fast. i got the waiter and his quest line started right away. Do i have to have the canon for his quests to start?
On a side note, if i posted things here earlier that shouldn’t have been, i didn’t know and am sorry. Since i don’t see my posts, either my computer ate them, or they weren’t approved or were removed. I had posted a link to a list of all the deals.
I purchased KrustyLU also n my quest started right away. Tho I’m in lvl 52. No need for canon also my quest of the alien (the movie theater one) started right away too. Hope this helps…

You don’t need the cannon for Mel’s quest to start…it should have started as soon as the studio built. Gave you tried storing the studio & then putting it back out? Sometimes things go a little wonky when you have a bunch of quests going at the same time.
You don’t need the cannon since I purchased Krustylu earlier and I don’t have the cannon and his questline started right away for me. Have you tried the basics? Going to friends and back, or visiting Krustyland, hard close the app, and restart?

I got the super collider a while ago and if I remember correctly it also came with the black hole. I also believe it’s a separate inventory item, so you can place the black hole anywhere.
I was SO hoping for Crazy Cat Lady. Oh well. I might get Dr Nick if I can grab him at the right time.

Weird…my game shows differently! It shows the Whale at 6am, though it does show Dr. Nick at 6pm.
I have the whale at 6am and 6pm EDT on Day 2, Saturday. Dr. Nick is 6am and 6pm EDT on Day 3, Sunday for me.

I wouldn’t even care and would just go by what the games says, but I want to do some advance planning, so I’ve been looking at the lists that have been put out there about what’s coming when (farther out than my game currently shows) and wanting to be able to trust that info so I can make sure to get what I want at the right time and to get the right combination of things with what donuts I have (and might be willing to purchase).

REGARDING ICONS VANISHING:
I really hope this works for others. Like many of you, I kept having thumbs and building icons vanish whenever Gil said to check out the latest offer. So earlier today, I restarted my game so the icons would appear, and then I cleared EVERYTHING. Every single thing in my entire town, right down to the Simpson house. I’ve logged in a couple times since, and everything has shown up like normal, despite Gil’s constant pestering. Might be a fluke, but maybe it will help some folk!
I’ve found that clicking on the friends icon, then returning back to Springfield causes the thumbs up/handshakes to return.
There was an update around an hour or so ago and I think that update cleared up the missing thumbs up problem. At least it did for me.
Is there any BRAND NEW content?? Stuck at work and I CANT MISS IT!! Please reply if there has been any BRAND NEW content released for today. I am a completist and I need to have everything!!

Hmm….what you have at 3pm tomorrow is different from what my game shows…you have Chester’s Shed and my game shows Stu’s Disco. In fact, all of the items your chart shows from 3pm to 7pm (maybe further, but that’s where this picture ended) is different. Mine has Stu’s Disco, Itchy & Scratchy Billboard, DMV Limo, Dr. Nick (yay!) and Mount Carlemore.
Does your game show what your chart says or what my game says? It’s really weird….
Oh, I believe I figured out the confusion Sandra. The game only shows the 12 items for Day 2 once. Those 12 items will repeat if you don’t buy them. For that reason, it doesn’t show the second appearance of those items 12 hours later until you first pass on the item in its first go around. You’ll notice that the last item in Day 2 Rocket Car and the first item in Day 3 Stu’s Disco are actually 12 hours apart. Right now, it shows Rocket Car 13hrs 08min away and Stu’s Disco 1d 2hrs 08min away. The 12 hour gap again is due to the repeating nature of the 12 items each day.
Could be…the whole thing is just plain weird! This morning when I woke up, the line-up had changed from what it said yesterday…it’s closer to matching up with some of the stated lists, but still not right. I just want to make sure I get a few things and would prefer not to have to set up a middle-of-the-night alarm if I know that they’ll be coming around again later, for sure. But I did wake up just ahead of my alarm for Luann and the Cracker Factory this morning and, even better, was able to go back to sleep after making the purchase (which was good, because I had terrible night’s sleep last night).
There’s nothing I want for the next several hours, so I guess I’ll just check back in on the list this evening to see if it’s updated and whether I have to set a 4am alarm for Stu’s Disco (or 3am, if you go by the list I saw on another website…but my game says 4am) and a 7am alarm for Dr. Nick, or whether they will, in fact, repeat in the evening, like that website’s list says…
