Update: In your games you can see what’s to come, when it unlocks and for how long. That’s a good guide for what’s available over the next 2 days. However, keep in mind MORE stuff will hit (That’s not currently showing) on Monday 11/30. There will be something that’s new, for those players (like Ryan) that have everything…and then there will be some returning items (from events past). (but Springfield Falls will NOT be returning for those holding out hope)
My best advice is if there’s something you’ve been wanting now is the time to get it. Some of you may be holding out for the returning stuff…but don’t hold out too long. You don’t want to miss your chance to get something you’ve been wanting. We’ll post a list of what’s returning from Events past on another post, just so we don’t have spoilers here for those that don’t want them.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Turkey Day…or average Thursday. Personally we had a crazy eventful day that ended up with a certain Tiny Addict way over stimulated and lots of day time sleep missing. Hopefully that means she’ll get some good sleep tonight though! (you can check out photos of Miss. Riley dressed for Turkey Day here)
Anywho…it looks like EA will be doing some Black Friday Deals tomorrow (11/27)…and because we’ve got a lot going on here tomorrow I wanted to give you guys a place where you could discuss the deals with each other (I’ll do my best to approve comments ASAP on this thread). Here’s some basic info from EA via their Facebook…
So similar to last year, it looks like these will be hourly deals. With new items unlocking each hour.
Tomorrow (Friday) is a day filled with my husband and I decorating our house for Christmas and celebrating “Friendsgiving” with some close friends of ours. All excellent choices, though I would personally recommend Akira, followed by Luann, and then Disco Stu in terms of their relative value. Akira makes free bonsai trees, Luann unlocks fleet-a-pita, and Disco Stu doesn’t unlock anything additional, but he is a fun character.
I’m stuck in a similar dilemma to you. I am going to get Luann for sure (the fact that the ball task the 24 hour task sold it for me), but don’t know who else to get.
I am wondering whether to get Coach Krupt and Lampwick or Disco Stu and Akira (or the former Halloween item that may be available on Monday). If Disco Stu wasn’t last I would have been able to get Lampwick or Coach K instead of Akira. I like Disco Stu as a character, but don’t really like his building or the fact his 24 hour task is indoors (and am far enough along in SH, to not really need him there). But the alleged discount on him makes it really tempting.
Where the %^()(*&^$£%$%^^&&*) are the moderators?????? Teleporters are unreleased game content and should not be appearing on this website!!!! All you are doing by allowing them to remain is to drive everyone to check out sites that so list such content (and the discounts).

Trying to let you guys help each other so I can have some attempt at a life today. It’s not my fault Bunny and Wookiee are both AWOL right now (although I know where Bunny is so she’s really not AWOL). Don’t get upset Alissa. I like this site just the way it is. It’s not the end of the world if a comment takes too long to be moderated. Enjoy the holiday. It’s a game after all. If you treat it like a job, the fun goes out the window.
I have noticed recently that if it wasn’t for you, this site would not even be functioning, which is ridiculous, given your situation. In my experience, it usually takes about a month to feel decent again, which makes US maternity leave utterly inappropriate. Lithuanian mothers have at least a year of paid maternity leave. I understand the baby is sleeping a lot right now, but that doesn’t mean you should be back at work, which is probably why teleporters got past you.
I could see everyone was getting upset that they could hear people talking about them without seeing them in their game and I wanted everyone to know what the problem was. I was also frustrated waiting all day for the shopping list that never came, and I took that out on you. My apologies. I should have put it differently.
As to a solution.
1. It is no shame to admit you are overwhelmed and ask people to abide by the site’s rules as minimum moderating will be done and even less reporting. I think readers can police themselves more if they know there is a need. And letting them (esp. ones who use this site exclusively) know to look for answers elsewhere temporarily will help to keep them loyal. Feeling abandoned is not a good feeling.
2. Is there any way you could get a reader to help out with moderating temporarily? I am sure Bunny and Wookiee have good reasons for not participating, but it is not fair to put everything on you.

I understand where you’re coming from. If I hadn’t already been regularly checking other sites for info, I’d have been more confused and frustrated.
When I worked in retail it was acceptable practice to steer people to other stores if we didn’t carry the item they were looking for or maybe if we were temporarily out (depending). I’m not sure how high up this policy was approved, but the end result is a happy customer. I am in favor of this. It actually will make a customer more loyal since they know they can trust the employees here and will come back here first.
Pretty much how I do it with this site. Here primarily, then elsewhere for what isn’t offered. FYI, elsewhere doesn’t offer a lot more than here doesn’t.
I agree that a temporary break from the insular nature here to directing us to outside resources might have been a nice thing. Just remember to heed Alissa’s words that she was letting the community help itself, which included us mentioning that transporter offer.

A spoiler or similar comment or two isn’t the end of the world or this site. Thanks for trying to look out for them but…she’s the one approving the comments (if you didn’t know that), so this is her choice. I’ve pointed out a spoiler that appeared here in the past. Nothing came of it, but just wanted to put the word out. Nicely, that is.
And just to bring you a little perspective, a lot of the content on this site is of the “unreleased” variety. Because if it’s not in your game, then it’s not “released”. This includes the Frink deal, quest lines for parts of events we haven’t reached yet, and the prices for the current deals (I’m just sure that Alissa plans to post them). Personally, I might avoid the post altogether (including/especially the comment section) if I’m trying to get a more unspoiled experience. That’s my decision. Just like this is her decision.
Confront the issues you perceive with a calmer attitude and you might be more successful in making change. Or, nothing can be done as Alissa is flying solo (apparently), so don’t expect the kind of moderation we usually can expect when there are 3 addicts chipping in.
Besides, even with “other sites” out there, there’s a reason I come here and comment. The people, including you. We have a great group. I like hearing the rants and grumples…just not when they’re directed unfairly.

Honestly though it has been discussed. We’ve given up and sacrificed so much of our personal lives. Especially lately. We love to help. It’s in our blood. But when we start observing more cruelty and negative behavior towards us for that hard work… it makes us question why we continue to do what we do.
I love our sites and what we do… it saddens me to have it even cross my mind. But knowing what I’ve given up for the sites and now what Alissa sacrifices… it breaks my heart to see any cruelty directed at us. I need to put food on my table and pay bills so I had no choice but to take this job. So when I see complaints that info is limited or not perfect as Alissa struggles to throw info together after childbirth and still recovering… it angers me. I can only do so much now. Same with her.
I know how discouraging it must feel, Bunny, but, if you look closely, it’s only a very small minority who’s saying stuff like that compared to a pretty large (and loud) majority who have been expressing gratitude for everything you guys do. The trick is not to let the very few negative comments become disproportionate in you mind and heart.
We get that. We do. Keep in mind there’s also more said you may not see as our moderation doesn’t allow it.
Like I said. I love the Addicts. I love helping. It’s not something either of us would just walk away from by snap judgement. There’s a lot of thought and evaluation that goes into it all than that. A lot more. Many factors. We have a great community built here that I’m very proud of. Alissa too.
Could you guys also keep in mind to leave the site in someone’s hands if you decide to jump ship? I don’t know who, maybe multiple people (like you have now). I’d like to keep the community going. I’d be sad… even though I’m one of the less personal participants here.

No worries for now. We’re just being pulled so thin and I’m a HUGE protector of Alissa (as she is of me) so I get infuriated when she’s attacked for nothing knowing what she’s sacrificed and put into this site since day one. Especially after what she’s just been through. I’m not as “free” in my time anymore to help as my own family’s survival needed assistance, so to see complaints when things aren’t “fast enough” really bothers me and her. We’ve always done all we can to have the most accurate info available… always. So if now and then we can’t get to it right away because our families come first and get yelled at for it… it makes a very cruel stab at us and we only take so much before speaking up.
Like I said… I love this site and community which is why I’m still here… even after long grueling days. I’m just not as forefront or vocal with the time limits. I also love my dearest friend Alissa… so I’ll have her back. Especially when she’s just given birth. 😉

Not cool, Sraige, not cool. Given what Alissa is going through right now, you should be grateful that she’s pushing comments through for us, even if she can’t handle truly moderating them right now. I’m a pretty spoiler-averse person (not about this kind of thing, though), but a few weeks of potential spoilers and “bad” behavior here is not gonna kill us and is better than not being able to communicate with each other at all!
While you may be right about what you said (and even that’s debatable), I think you owe Alissa an apology for exploding at her like that. There’s just no excuse for it.
Is anyone else having this problem: recurring all day I get no thumbs up & no $ on bldgs when things are done/ready to collect. You have to blindly tap things to see if you get $ or a character pops out with their task done. If I turn my phone off & back on the $ & thumbs up hands come back, but only for 1 time. Makes it very difficult to collect anything.
The character locator does work if you happen to tap something that frees up a character, but nothing in game to indicate who/what is ready to be tapped.

Same here. If I force stop the app, thumbs and dollar signs return, otherwise impossible to tell what’s ready.
My floating dollar signs, bill stacks, (and other icons) came back if I clicked on the (Bart & Milhouse) Neighbours Icon, and then back home. It could be something to try as well.
I just went to Krusty land and back…
This is happening to me as well. Just started today.
Happens everytime a new Black Friday deal is announced. Tap the Milhouse/Bart icon on the bottom of the screen towards the right side and then tap the House icon – again bottom right and the all the icon for collecting cash/xp from characters and buildings will appear. You can also go into KrustyLand and then go back into Springfield to achieve the same result. Annoying glitch but is could be worse.
It’s all Mama Homer’s Fault as if you unlocked that Outfit it did it to me but I easily fixed it by going to Krustyland to collect whatevs there and came back and Bam Thumbs and Cash Icons were back.
Patch just released now. Bug Fixed!

ATTENTION NEWBIES! I strongly recommend that you do NOT buy the Lard Lad that’s on sale now, since they’re fairly easy to get through the Mystery Box (I’ve gotten four that way and three of them are sitting in my inventory!).
Of course, it’s possible that they could change the Mystery Box next week or something and take that away, so, if that would crush you, then go ahead and buy it now. But, if you’re willing to take the chance, I wouldn’t want you to feel bad for having spent donuts to buy it, only to win it in your next Mystery Box or something.

Anyone else game suddenly stop showing completed assignments (hands) after Gile showed up? I have to randomly tap my screen to try to collect money from houses and my characters because it is no longer showing. Even did a complete reinstall but it didnt fox anything.
I have experienced the same issue. I just go to K-land and back. The thumbs up show up.

There is a 5 hour “gap” between ~ 5:00 PST and 10:00 PST in the listing of what is to come. There may be a repeat of desired items then?
I think the gaps are things you already own and are unique, so you don’t see them in your list.

Why are people saying that items repeat in 12 hours? I see Luanne at 4 -frickin-AM, but she’s not repeated at 4PM (that time slot shows the film set).
Is there a pattern to the amount of discount (i.e. a certain, uniform percentage)? I’m trying to figure out what I want to get within a reasonable budget.
Glad I don’t have plans to go out in the next couple of days, but not happy at the idea of having to possibly wake up in the middle of the night to buy something. Why am I not seeing the 12-hour repeat folks are talking about? Also, sad to see that Duff Brewery isn’t on the list and that, apparently, I missed Frink (whom I never really wanted, but who is used so often for events and stuff that I might have gotten him anyway).
On a positive note, I’m looking forward to finally getting Dr. Nick, and maybe the French waiter, although neither one seem to be particularly helpful for events and stuff like that. But I’ve always particularly loved Dr. Nick on the show! (And, besides…I need to maintain that great “doctor-to-daredevil” ratio that apparently our country excels at! 😉 )
Trust us, but also, simply wait for a deal to pass and you’ll find it has moved to the end of the line in the first empty spot. You can see a gap in the times, where the next set of deals don’t start until “tomorrow”. In this case those deals start with Chester. Your missed item will appear right before him. Only one repeat, mind you. (Two offers of the same item each day, but then actually gone.)
If you look at the release times, there is a 12 hour gap between Chester J Lampwick and Disco Stu. I am presuming that is when the prizes from the previous 12 hours are repeated.
No, unfortunately the discounts are uniform. If you take a look around, there are some other websites that publish spoilers that have the discount for each item. These aren’t guaranteed, but from what I have seen, they have been correct so far. Most items (those 100+ donuts), with a few exceptions, look to be around 30% off (rounded down to the nearest 5 donuts).
As for Dr Nick, I got him with the Sideshow Mel/Dr. Nick bundle from a few years ago and am really happy with him. Too be fair, he is probably one of my favourite Simpsons characters, and the fact that he is voiced made him worthwhile for me.
Actually, I just went through the rundown as far out as it shows in my game and realized I had some timings wrong because there are two spots where it goes for two hours instead of one. Also, what my rundown shows in the game seems to be a bit different from what at least one other website has listed. It looks like Luann and the Cracker Factory are coming at 8am instead of 4am (not sure how I got that far off originally….). That’s almost worse because I definitely won’t be able to go back to sleep afterwards and it’ll be over an hour earlier than I usually get up. But it’s such a good deal!
It will vary on what you already own in your game. So it won’t be exact unless you own none of it.
I finally figured that out about the time gaps…those must because I own the item that would have been in the next hour. But some of the differences can’t be chalked up to that…they’re just *weird*! For example, somebody was saying that Stu’s Disco should appear at 6am and 6pm tomorrow. I don’t have Stu’s Disco, but my game shows the Whale at 6am and Stu’s Disco at 6pm. I don’t know why it doesn’t show Stu’s Disco at 6am….
They vary on YOUR region too. So times will vary. Go by what your game shows. 😉

Since the beginning of the Black Friday Deals I’m having a terrible bug: thumbs up are not showing up after tasks completion! Is it just my problem? Any suggestion? It’s really annoying….

Yep… I think they disappear when Gil’s speech-bubble pops up. Closing the game and reopening it made everything reappear for me. Very annoying…
Same here. But they seem to come back after using that building once through its cycle again. Very annoying.
I’ve found if you go to Krustyland or your Neighbors and then come back they reappear.
Me too. Just hard close and relaunch or buy the item.
Similar problem here: No icons at all show up. No money, nothing.
A workaround for me is to go into the friends screen and back to your hometown, that fixed it temporarily.
Same with me. Just happened. I tried a complete reinstall of the game but didnt fix it. I think it is a glitch with gils deals.
i had the missing dollar signs too, going to Krustyland worked for me. Guessing they wll vansh again when the next deal goes live though!
Is anyone else not seeing the teleporters anywhere in the Gil deals? I don’t see them anywhere in my game but several people have already commented about planning to buy them.
Can anyone who sees them listed tell me where they are in the list (between what other deals?) Maybe some of the deals are different based on what you already own, rather than just not seeing any deals on stuff you already bought before? (sort of the way the daily prizes were different last xmas based on whether you already had stuff from the previous year’s xmas.)

Some other websites list what’s coming up and the prices and times so if u check them you can find the info. Also if u look in your shop in the decoration section it shows u what’s coming up.

From what i found they are going to be avail on Cyber Monday, along with Kwik-E-Mart Central office. Though i think its only avail at 8:00 am for 1 minute.

Luan without a doubt. She has her own questline and unlocks the Fleet-A-Pita questline too. It’s the only thing I’m going to buy (maybe Happy Sumo too)

Woke up with 5 minutes left on Lugash Gym. At 175 it is usually too expensive, but a 40 rebate convinced me to purchase. That is how I am approaching this option- would I buy it on my own or would I buy it only in a deep discount.
Hope Lugash doesn’t disappoint, but I think I remember him being used on mini events.
I really enjoy having Lugash in my town. I like the character, the look of the building, and his outside tasks are hilarious.

The Mystery Box doesn’t appear on the same day for everyone, since each person has his own “cycle.”

I know what you mean, i was hoping the black friday deals would reduce the donut cost flat out. Instead its pay normal price>get xx back.
This is how they’ve done “sales” for the past several times now. I think it’s been over a year since they offered much in a genuine sale. They seem to like the rebates because they know some folks will be willing to buy a few donuts to be able to get the rebated items.
Love this! Gunna grab Coach Krupt, the Waiter, Akira and Don Vittorio. Already had enough donuts for all of those…I usually wait for down time between events to buy premium items, but now with a massive saving I’m gunna get them in one go.
I can also report that all of the task finished icons, upgrade icons and rent icons are invisible occasionally in my game meaning I have to guess what needs tapping. Krustyland doesn’t fix it but hard close sometimes does. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
Since the sale started I’m not seeing any cash/thumbs on my building but they do give money and collect jobs when I click on them. Help? Lol
My game has done that too, must be a widespread problem.
