SIDE NOTE BUNNY: As I keep seeing this same thing in the comments, I will just put the information up here instead of copy and paste over n over in comments below. You MUST have your Characters free for any of the Questlines to trigger in Act 2. If they were stuck in say… the Snowman or Gingerbread House Tasks from Act 1, those are still timing down… so you will either HAVE to wait until they are done and you can get them out or store their buildings they came with to pull them out right away(if an option). Either way, they all MUST be free for the Questline Progression. (Mainly Homer, Lisa, Moe, and later Krusty.)
If you can’t find a Character, it is most likely they are stuck in the Snowman or Gingerbread House Tasks. It won’t be until they are done that the icon will show for you to tap and clear them. While trapped there, they can’t be used for any other tasks… including Questlines and for the Petting Zoo.
Of course, try the Basics too… like force close the app and restart device if a task seems “stuck” and “DO IT” won’t show.

Mistletoe
You’ll earn Mistletoe similar to the same way you earned Santa Hats in Act 1, but with different buildings/items to upgrade.
-Tapping Merrymakers will earn you Mistletoe (they’ll still earn 3/tap…)
-You can also earn Mistletoe via the Daily Prize Combo. So basically Login everyday and you’ll earn Mistletoe
-They’ll also be awarded when you complete the MAIN questline, Turbo Tappin’ will be up later…
-You will also earn Mistletoe by upgrading the various buildings that will popup during Act 2. (follow the questline…)
Note: you will NOT earn Mistletoe from the Snowman, Gingerbread House or Wooly Bully. Those all now only earn cash.

Act 1 Craftables
Act 1 Craftables have disappeared from the Craftng Menu. This is NOT how it should have happened, at least not how the game indicated it should have. Not sure if this is a bug or EA changed their mind. Throughout ALL of Act 1 the Crafting Menu said Event Ends…it did not say anything about crafting while you can for X amount of days. So if this intentional it’s VERY misleading by EA…
Personally, I would chat/call EA (you can contact them here) and complain about this. Based on what the game said they should NOT have disappeared and it’s not right that they did. So if it is a bug it needs to be reported, and if it was intentional than EA needs to hear that we’re ticked off about it…since the game never said they’d disappear. (like it does for prizes)

Upgrades
You can NO LONGER upgrade the Gingerbread House or the Snowman for free. They were exclusive to Act 1. If you didn’t finish and would like to finish upgrading them it’ll now cost you donuts.
4 Buildings/Decorations for Upgrading in Act 2. These will all help earn you more Mistletoe. We’ll break them all down in more detailed posts…but here are the buildings (each has 3 levels to upgrade to):

The questline will trigger each one of these…when in doubt work on the questline. That will guide you through everything. Don’t ignore it…

I only crafted two things in act one (plus wooly bully) for the daily challenges. I always do all event crafting at the end to see what the options are, and the crafting menu gave no indication they’d be going away. I really hope that is a bug that gets fixed. If not it’s a very poor move by EA.
Same! I was so upset the challet was gone as I was working towards getting that. It didn’t say anywhere they would change that! 🙁

P.S. the quest is back to its old tricks. I completed the first task, then nothing. I had Homer on a task for another 13 1/2 hours. Stored the building and the quest continued, next, sane with Moe. It looks like there’s a lot of work to do this quest so I’d advise to keep it moving. I might even sacrifice monorail next week.

A tad off topic but I am so Very pleased with the increased chances for donuts EA has givin here the past couple events! I pay real money for donuts once every two weaks and to receive all these extra yummies is simply awesome!🍩🍩🍩🍩 It helps out tons… Between the past two events, the rapid level ups that came with the xp collider, the extra donuts from this n that here and there- I must have made atleast 300 donuts! Maybe more. I should have been counting! I’d love to hear how many donuts others may have gained the past few months or less.?!?.
What they should at least do is bring all the craftables back for act 3 because I would like 2 chalets and I was hoping for 2 or 4 igloos so that I had a little igloo village going on but maybe I’m being greedy 😅
Down here in Europe the currency for Act 2 is called holly not mistletoe! For your information look in Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mistletoe)

The game is proving to be educational as well as fun! I had no idea that Americans called Holly (which has red berries) mistletoe (which has white berries). Or is it just an EA mistake?

Not sure where in Europe you are, but where I am (Germany) it is also called Mistletoe (Misteln), not Holly (Stechpalme).
Good morning all in TSTO Land! I have to say I’m sorry to start on a negative note but after placing my exotic zoo it won’t allow me to do the first required actions of distracting seniors with exotic pets? I’m not sure why it won’t allow me too, all of my seniors are available! Any suggestions of what could be happening?
Can you be more specific? How do you mean it won’t allow? Are they busy elsewhere? Does it say “requires **** completed”? What do you see?
I have the same issue. The first task is to send seniors but the blue button on the right that you usually tap to get it started isn’t there.
Where are your seniors currently? Are they all free from other tasks? I ask as this Act you HAVE to have the Characters free to trigger things. If you do not, it is causing delays.
Yup everyone in town was free. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it was fixed.
Same here. The option is unlocked in The Petting zoo window and says “Make seniors get distracted by animals” 0/4 but there is no option to “Do it” and no task in the senior characters to do this either.
Same problem, but fixed. Had to force stop TSTO, and clear cache. After that the blue “go to” button appeared and was able to start the task.
Hey, I had the same problem…everyone free, but the blue “do it” box was missing from that menu.
I closed the game & restarted my phone, now all is well. Hope that helped!
There is a short task for Willie before you can send the seniors on a task, did you finish that one?
If they are seeing the Seniors task, then they are on Level 2. My thoughts are exactly what I posted up top… characters stuck on a previous Task in Snowman or Gingerbread House.
This happens with EVERYONE free, must be a glitch. The menu opens w/out the blue “do it” box.

This is becoming the worst update for me. I’m annoyed that I didn’t get to upgrade the gingerbread house, missed a craft able that I was saving for and I missed out on the last prize too. To make it worse I have zero interest in any of the prizes for this act. Fingers crossed the 3rd act will be better.

The Act Three prizes show a blue trophy cup with a blue bow, red pacifier,and it says “Something very special is coming January 2nd!” Unless, of course, that’s been the message all along and I just noticed this morning in which case please disregard. 😉

Dunno if all the questline triggered as Lisa said a few lines then when I finished she did the same lines again! Very strange. I have built the exotic petting zoo though so fingers crossed everything’s going as it should. So relieved that I crafted everything important from the first act although if I’d known perhaps I would have crafted a few more of the santas helper snowmen and marge snowmen as I seem to be collecting loads of bows. Didn’t craft any lawn bells or street lights because I decided the baubles would be better saved for act 2 which is annoying but at least I got all the important stuff (igloo, clams, ski chalet, wholly bully and the 2 snowmen)
Why do all the “upgrades” in Act 2 have to look so tacky, run down, and not Christmasy at all?!
What are the upgrades? Like the Moe zoo? So far that’s fine with me, because Moe. (Really creepy premium zoo additions, too. Might need to get.) Not sure about the rest. Have my blinders on….
I’m thinking that this act might be more new year’s/general holiday celebration, than directly Xmas (which was more last act). Mistletoe, ya know?

Meh. They have merged into “one being” in the USA. I think because Holly has red berries and are more “traditional holiday red/green” then the white berries on the Mistletoe.

What happened is people started using Holly as Mistletoe cuz it’s “prettier”. Both were traditional decorations.
As years passed lines got blurred so many started viewing the Holly as Mistletoe.

No, we don’t. If you buy mistletoe in the U.S., you get mistletoe (i.e., white berries). However, I do notice that sometimes, when there are drawings and such of “mistletoe,” people do mistakenly draw holly.
(BTW, I’m typing this with the new Bluetooth keyboard I just got to go with my iPad, expressly for making comments here! 🙂 ) I’m hoping that now I can have the best of both worlds…getting to use a real keyboard without having to use my big, heavy, hot laptop! (The only problem I’m noticing so far is the occasional missed letter, but that might be more a matter of me getting used to this keyboard than something being wrong with it, especially since I’m noticing it happen less and less the more I type in this comment. One thing I have been reading here: I have one b-game where I did not finish the Gingerbread House and the new Questline about the Zoo did not start there. My other game is working as expected. Maybe this glitch shows up when Act 1 was not finished?
Second: I am also a bit ticked off that the craftables from Act 1 went missing. Was saving everything to decide what I want at the end. Not a huge problem, just a minor irritant, though. Might have gotten more than one Chalet, and probably would have gotten the Clam-sign, had I known in advance.
All in all, I love this event, EA went to great length to give us loads of Christmas-y stuff, that actually came from Christmas-Episodes. And you all have done a stellar job with helping us along, despite all the distractions (like new babies and new jobs and such). I’m a happy camper 🙂
I have a game that the Snowman is on Level 1 and Gingerbread house never started… I just got to Level 2 in the Exotic Petting Zoo going.
I honestly think the Characters aren’t free that are triggering it. I know that I had to take all my Characters out of tasks in order for the dialog to continue on. So I keep suggesting to players to make sure the Key Characters are free for the Questline to fully populate. Homer, Lisa, and Moe.
I had to finish an Unwanted Kiss to start Once in a Royal Quimby’s City.

I tracked down Homer, he was still in the Gingerbread House, but the House didn’t show any activity any more. Soon as he was finished with his task there, the quest for the Zoo started.
X-mas Trees Slightly Irregular is the new Wooly Bully. It earns 160 mistletoe every four hours. I got mine going rich away.

The store items seem much more interesting to me than last act. Still not sure I want to spend donuts for seasonal items that only fit in town for less than a month or until next year.
You’re right about those crafting items. Total mislead. I would have bought at least one more set of bells (even though they were the least cool item) and more lampposts. But the new lampposts will work in place of the original. Otherwise I, thankfully, crafted the rest. I hope others complain, but it’s not worth the hassle to me for the bells….
The prize track is less interesting to me this act. Rembrandt painting of Moe? Huh? lol. Who knows. The rest seems “richer”. I hope there’s more dialogue that connects these things to the theme here.
Unrelated, but the game says the event ends with this act, Act 2. Makes it sounds like Act 3 is its own event, a mini-event basically. I’m sure this is true. Makes some sense.
Well if you reflect on Superheroes… they have done this before. A few acts… then a “bonus unlinked act” with additional things going on. I am curious to see how it all plays out personally. 😉

The game tells me this then it’s not exactly a spoiler. At least it’s a bit nonspecific. I am trying not to guess much about what happens in act 3, but sometimes things present (hehe) themselves.
By when you said that there was a separate splash for act 3, that’s a pretty big spoiler, as you can see…no new splash for this act. So, I think those kind of spoilers are different. Some has manifested in the game, some I don’t have a way of predicting. (Were there separate splash screens during Superheroes event???)
Not mad at you, just in case I need to state that. Just a little at myself for engaging in such inquiries. So far nothing bad to know. I got way more spoilered on another site. Now I’m mostly hiding out here. 😒 😉

It’s worth mentioning that X-mas Trees Slightly Irregular ears 160 Mistletoe every 4 hours (That’s a better rate than the 200 donut Duff Center Arena, so you should craft that ASAP

Hi, after Lisa’s intro, I had to quit the game for a few minutes. When I restarted it she redid the intro, I was asked to rehit the merrymakers and after that nothing. No more questline. Is it normal or did I miss out on something? I did reload and went to KL too.
