Updated Info On Googolplex below
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So….yesterday saw the end of TSTO Level updates. And then everyone’s games broke. (well not everyone, but you know what I mean..) A bit ironic, no?
Anyway, we’ve still got a TON of bugs going on in the game since yesterday (and I know some of you still have Wild West Bugs…) so here’s one handy place where we’re going to list them all….
For those who don’t like to read the whole post…
Here’s what we’ll breakdown:
-Missing Gil Deal
-Game Lockout (Bart screen/server down)
-Constant ingame Updates
-Not Enough Space to Download TSTO
-XP requirements changing
Oh and a quick note…seeing Longshot Skinner in your game BEFORE you unlock him as a prize is just a little glitch. He’ll go back to Skinner if you try to change his outfit. And you’ll still be able to unlock the prize when the time comes. This is seriously NOTHING to worry about…so don’t 🙂
–Missing Gil Deal:
The Gil Duff Gardens Deal is missing for a good chunk of you. I’ve got some quick tips for trying to get it back on this post. But for many of you that’s not working. So….many of you have reported this to EA already.
EA is aware of the Missing Gil Deal and they’re working on it. My hopes are that if they don’t fix it this morning they’ll extend the timer…
If you are impacted by this one, I still think you should contact EA and let them know. The more that report it the wider scope they have to investigate the issue.
Also, many of you are reporting that EA Reps are telling you wrong information about this. Not that I’m EA, or associated with EA, but I’m sorry. Some of the reps are either not trained properly, don’t know what to do if something isn’t in their script, are from overseas call/chat centers and are completely clueless (no matter what they say, they haven’t played TSTO) or they just lack common sense. I do know that EA has been working on training many of these reps…unfortunately if they lack common sense it’s hard to train them. My best suggestion…contact them again and try to get someone else. I know it’s frustrating….but when you get a good rep, it’s worth it.
Also…to EA (because I know you’re here reading this): Is it too much to ask for some reps who know what they’re talking about? Who don’t tell people they’re crazy when Gil disappears from their games. Seriously, some of these reps are so incredibly rude and disrespectful I’ve had players tell me they don’t want to play the game anymore. So can you please do something about this? Thank you. 🙂
-Game Lockout:
Yes, many of you are still locked out of your game. You’re on an endless loop of Bart Screens.
EA is aware and they’re working on a patch for this. Again I do still suggest contacting them…
Hopefully this is fixed soon, as I know it’s frustrating for many of you.
My suggestion if you’re still building Googolplex….don’t clear the checkmark yet. Wait until this is fixed. Because we’re seeing people locked out at Level 64, 73…all over the place.
Update: It’s safe to clear the Googolplex if you’re low in XP (and don’t use your collider). They drastically reduced the amount of XP awarded from the Googolplex..so when you clear it it won’t fill your bar (unless you’re close to filling it already). Now you’ll only get just over 18k xp for building it.
So if you’re low in the XP bar on Level 60, go ahead and clear it to build it. And then work on the rest of the Level 60 questline. 🙂
There’s no rush on Level 60…so just wait it out if you can still play. Since the Wild West Event is still timed and ends May 30th.
-What’s With All The In-Game Updates?:
They’re patches. EA’s trying to fix the problems so they’re sending patches through. Until everything is resolved there may be even more patches coming through…
-Not Enough Space To Download Update:
If you’re getting the Not Enough Space Message on your device…
Fully uninstall TSTO and then reinstall it.
ONLY Do This If You Have an EA/Origin Account
It’s not that this update is massive, it’s that the Wild West Update is huge. And when it downloads an in-game update it tries to add all of the space to your device again. So if you’ve been playing Wild West it’s likely you don’t need to free up more space, just fully uninstall and reinstall TSTO.
This problem should be gone once the Wild West Event is over, May 30th.
–Level Up XP Requirements Changed:
Last night a patch came through that increased the Level Up XP required for every level after 61. It went from 40k to 500k and up.
I believe this is how it was intended to be originally. And there was just something wrong in the coding that said 40k…
And I believe that wraps all of the latest on those bugs. We’ll try to update as we get more information….

Thanks for this post!! My Gogolplex will be ready in an hour and I was curious if I could store it And avoid that issue. So far, knock on wood, I’m still 60 and haven’t had any issues but I would like to avoid this if at all possible!! Thanks so much for all this work, this seems like such a mess right now! I leveled up to 79 yesterday and was so confused by what was going on until I read what was happening on this site. I didn’t receive the patch last night and I still am going to level up after 40000 XPs. There are no updates in Google Store for this game. I have done a hard reset as well. Are the patches being rolled out in batches? The good news is that I haven’t been locked out…yet. Holding my breath on that one! By the way, I always refer to this site. LOVE it! Thank you for all your help.
I wasn’t locked out, now since the bug fixes i am! Everything was fine this morning … 😭
I found a solution to the ‘Not enough space’ issue. I’m on a iPad Mini, and when that pops up, I simply turn my device off, give it a few seconds and turn it back on and run Tapped Out. Its happened many times and each time that fixed the issue. I hope this works for other devices.
With all the gliches going on I’m quite surprised I survived the night!

First time commenting 250 thousand xp, 105 million cash, leval 60,one googleplex in few hours ,store and bkack smith done in a few, no problems…did get nessage on no memory normal one in a while rebooted game and rebooted system did not reinstall. Have the past sometimes reboot only.i lush limit of items on screen average with bulding and characters 800 thousand to milltion in day. Ggolex is mill and half or so last land buy close oh 15 million or so and i think in sitting at 200 percent and change. Yes my 4th year on game bought only items with dougnuts may be once a year rest is earned by cash and once in while free dough nuts which i use to speed up game. Do far no problems then i also do not use cheats. Modt scrrens ive heard about flash by and nothing lost . Not sure if it has do with the resources i have saved.
I was let into my game for maybe ten seconds today before I just got locked out again – EA cannot really help me with that bug either as it appears, since I’m currently in chat with my fourth Advisor. They all have consulted specialists but come to no conclusion at all, so basically I’m being juggled back and forth between consultants right now and no one is coming to a real conclusion…
At least you got someone…anyone. I have tried and tried to contact ea and just get the ” conecting you with an advisor…”. no reply email, no call backs
Not sure if it’s a glitch or not, but the Lizard Queen/Duff Pavillion questline won’t trigger, even with all my characters free.
First of all, I supported your work by buying the full version of your app and even though it is essentially the same as the web version I got it because you put so much effort into it and I thank you. My question, I logged on yesterday after a few days away and the level screen just kept popping up. I went from level 59 to level 83 all at once. Now I am locked out of the game. Again thank you for all your hard work on giving us tapped out info.

So I installed tsto on my android and when I logged in it says level 103. So confused. It is stuck downloading so maybe when it’s done I will be at level 203.
Still cant get in to my game. It crashes at the sync screen so i guess when it tries to sync the bug kicks in and wont let it sync. Thanks for all the help.You all are great.
I made it to level 939 and stopped with about 10 million in cash, just to wait it out. After the patch, it’s 1 million XP to get bonuts – so not the single-donut level-up. Also, the level isn’t going up any more, even after I earned another 70 bonuts by spending the remaining cash.
Is it safe to visit friends? My daily task ask to send prospectors to neighbors and I still have a lot of prospectors to send anyway, but I saw something about problems when visiting friends… I’m level 60, googleplex is still building, I won’t clear it. Might there be a problem when going to friends? And if so, is it all friends or maybe just those who leveled up too much?
I’m not saying anything is safe yet…not until it’s fixed.
Pepa I too am at level 60, I had the same task as you this morning. I had no trouble dropping prospectors first and then I cleared my gooleplex building. I’m not having any glitches except for Gil’s deal is missing.
The scary thing is that it’s like a virus in wait. You might have it, but it might not “activate” until you visit friends (sync). The latest patch didn’t unlock the game for anyone, nor does it appear to have fixed the glitch from happening to people. Since you have the googolplex building….I’d be a bit worried, because.
Also, more directly, don’t worry about your daily task, it can be completed within three days (as long as you clear the other daily tasks you get tomorrow et al. More than three days if you if you keep clearing the others. You’ll be fine on that aspect.
Mine still says 40,000 xp to the next level, and I am at level 100.

Figures the only Gil deal I’ve ever been interested in disappeared. EA is really pissing me off, especially all the people who are calling in to support and getting complete idiots on the other end. For a company that makes so much money you’d expect better support by people who actually have SOME understanding of the game, or can at least speak english.
I love The Simpsons and TSTO, but honestly EA needs to get it together. We also had an issue with an EA game my bf tried to download from the EA store. Spent $80 and never got the game, spent DAYS trying to fix it with their AWFUL support staff. Imho if you’re working for a company and offering support for a specific product, you should be required to have at least a BASIC understanding of that product!! Training at EA is SERIOUSLY lacking.

Sorry, you’re right. It’s funny about the Gil deal because I wasn’t affect 2 deals ago. 1 deal ago I was but it didn’t matter and they patched it soon after. And here we go again. I don’t get why they don’t learn from the previous experiences.
Really, this Gil deal should be the premium part of level 60, I’d say. Why time it out?

I’m on level 3 of the prizes on the Old West but I have the level 5 Skinner outfit and 3 tasks. 😀 I’ve just restarted my iPad as I installed the latest IOS update and it’s still there ! Yeah, I think?

Well, I can say those “reps” are quoting your site in an effort to get us satisfied. LOL. The only update I have seen is the major one that caused all the problems – (iPad). I have re-installed countless times and it’s a huge frustration to have to run back through this over and over.
lol hopefully it’ll get the bad ones to realize they need to get their butts in gear with the level of service they deliver
I haven’t gotten the patch update! I’m at level 75 and the XP level is still at 40K, so I am afraid to keep playing. Is the update for Android and iPhone?

I haven’t unlocked Longshot Skinner yet, but when I clicked on him, his name showed as this, but not his image, and the tasks came up as well. This hasn’t happened since though, so it may just be a one off glitch
Can I safely finish the Googleplex when it’s ready? I am scared now!

I’m still locked out, and I didn’t even level up that much. I stopped because there’s really no hurry, and I don’t mind taking my time. But ugh. being locked out makes me sad. 🙁 I hope to get my game back soon. I don’t even care if I’m rolled back to level 60.

Yesterday, my A game jumped straight from level 65 to 187 then I was knocked out and kept getting the cannot connect to server screen. I deleted and redownloaded the game, signed into my B game and can play with no problem even with leveling up. Twice, I’ve been able to sign into the A game after playing the B game and everything is fine until it levels up then it kicks me out again and won’t connect until the game is deleted and downloaded again. This morning, I tried finishing level 60 on the A game hoping it’d fix itself, but this last time, it kicked me out before I reached the 40k to level up. I also noticed that it shows level 187 when I’m signing in but then shows level 68 in the game. Also, each time I’ve redownloaded, I’ve had to redo the tasks that I previously finished and cleared.
I guess i had the bug cos here’s what happened:
Went one level up, bought a 24hr MAX BONUS CHARGER ( that thing) and proceeded to buy and sell bloodmachines… With All the xp and EXTRA XP i kept on going up levels until level 450 ( i got tired of doing that).. But i got more than 200 donuts ( one a level) and was able to buy so many nice treats 🙂 are they going to cancel my purchased items?
I wanted to see about the 40k XP requirement after getting to level 61. So, I bought a few rat trap trucks, figured I’d hit 61 or 62…and ended up at level 66. Since then, because of my bonus percentage, just sending free characters on 4-hour tasks jumped me to 68.
Glad they’ve adjusted the XP requirement. I was at the point where just by playing the game normally would’ve had me approaching level 100 by the end of the week!
I was having trouble getting in my game after level 60 update.I uninstalled and tried to reload it and now it says that the game is already installed but it’s nowhere and can’t find it in store either……

I didn’t play yesterday at all. I logged in today and reached level 60. I didn’t rush the building, but in my normal collecting, I leveled up to 61. Now it shows 40,000 to the next level.
my game also needs only 40k to level up. And I download last night patch successfully.
I just sold Googolplex before it finished to build because I’m afraid the game will “lock me out” thinking I´m doing some hack.
Im a premium player with almost 400% multiplier from decos and already at level 100 just for colecting from buidings and tasks…. To much donuts in a few hours
Have your tried leveling up to see if that requirement stays? In my case, I didn’t use the glitch. I just played normally after the glitch was fixed and leveled up. And I still got the 40k XP requirement UNTIL I reached level 97, which has a quest line for Bart and his lover Gina Vendetti. Then my XP requirement went up to 500k. But it seems to stay that way now.
Maybe this was EA’s intention: 61-97 it’s 40k, then 500k to who-knows-what-level, then more…
Alissa, have you noticed this? You’ve mentioned it’s 500k and up, so how much more? I’m only at level 191. I wonder if I should level up now in case the XP goes soon.

Thanks for this…I’ve been getting the not enough storage for a couple days had to reinstall 3 times and had a slight panic when it then said progress might not been saved but lucky everything still there ☺ deleted aload of other apps and was getting annoyed at my kindle now i kno its a bug I can calm down about it lol 😊
Not sure which device you have, but I have an iPad mini and turning it on and off fixes that issue, until the next patch is released. Its easier than having to uninstall/reinstall every time there is an issue.
I was playing Simpsons on the iPad last night and it said I hit level 60 and I bought the googleplex. Just logged in on my iPhone and it’s saying I’m level 59. No googleplex but my cash is $1.8m lower. I’m hoping this is another bug?
Yea that sounds like the regular rollback glitch that happens with every new level update to some players…
