Updated Info On Googolplex below
Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So….yesterday saw the end of TSTO Level updates. And then everyone’s games broke. (well not everyone, but you know what I mean..) A bit ironic, no?
Anyway, we’ve still got a TON of bugs going on in the game since yesterday (and I know some of you still have Wild West Bugs…) so here’s one handy place where we’re going to list them all….
For those who don’t like to read the whole post…
Here’s what we’ll breakdown:
-Missing Gil Deal
-Game Lockout (Bart screen/server down)
-Constant ingame Updates
-Not Enough Space to Download TSTO
-XP requirements changing
Oh and a quick note…seeing Longshot Skinner in your game BEFORE you unlock him as a prize is just a little glitch. He’ll go back to Skinner if you try to change his outfit. And you’ll still be able to unlock the prize when the time comes. This is seriously NOTHING to worry about…so don’t 🙂
–Missing Gil Deal:
The Gil Duff Gardens Deal is missing for a good chunk of you. I’ve got some quick tips for trying to get it back on this post. But for many of you that’s not working. So….many of you have reported this to EA already.
EA is aware of the Missing Gil Deal and they’re working on it. My hopes are that if they don’t fix it this morning they’ll extend the timer…
If you are impacted by this one, I still think you should contact EA and let them know. The more that report it the wider scope they have to investigate the issue.
Also, many of you are reporting that EA Reps are telling you wrong information about this. Not that I’m EA, or associated with EA, but I’m sorry. Some of the reps are either not trained properly, don’t know what to do if something isn’t in their script, are from overseas call/chat centers and are completely clueless (no matter what they say, they haven’t played TSTO) or they just lack common sense. I do know that EA has been working on training many of these reps…unfortunately if they lack common sense it’s hard to train them. My best suggestion…contact them again and try to get someone else. I know it’s frustrating….but when you get a good rep, it’s worth it.
Also…to EA (because I know you’re here reading this): Is it too much to ask for some reps who know what they’re talking about? Who don’t tell people they’re crazy when Gil disappears from their games. Seriously, some of these reps are so incredibly rude and disrespectful I’ve had players tell me they don’t want to play the game anymore. So can you please do something about this? Thank you. 🙂
-Game Lockout:
Yes, many of you are still locked out of your game. You’re on an endless loop of Bart Screens.
EA is aware and they’re working on a patch for this. Again I do still suggest contacting them…
Hopefully this is fixed soon, as I know it’s frustrating for many of you.
My suggestion if you’re still building Googolplex….don’t clear the checkmark yet. Wait until this is fixed. Because we’re seeing people locked out at Level 64, 73…all over the place.
Update: It’s safe to clear the Googolplex if you’re low in XP (and don’t use your collider). They drastically reduced the amount of XP awarded from the Googolplex..so when you clear it it won’t fill your bar (unless you’re close to filling it already). Now you’ll only get just over 18k xp for building it.
So if you’re low in the XP bar on Level 60, go ahead and clear it to build it. And then work on the rest of the Level 60 questline. 🙂
There’s no rush on Level 60…so just wait it out if you can still play. Since the Wild West Event is still timed and ends May 30th.
-What’s With All The In-Game Updates?:
They’re patches. EA’s trying to fix the problems so they’re sending patches through. Until everything is resolved there may be even more patches coming through…
-Not Enough Space To Download Update:
If you’re getting the Not Enough Space Message on your device…
Fully uninstall TSTO and then reinstall it.
ONLY Do This If You Have an EA/Origin Account
It’s not that this update is massive, it’s that the Wild West Update is huge. And when it downloads an in-game update it tries to add all of the space to your device again. So if you’ve been playing Wild West it’s likely you don’t need to free up more space, just fully uninstall and reinstall TSTO.
This problem should be gone once the Wild West Event is over, May 30th.
–Level Up XP Requirements Changed:
Last night a patch came through that increased the Level Up XP required for every level after 61. It went from 40k to 500k and up.
I believe this is how it was intended to be originally. And there was just something wrong in the coding that said 40k…
And I believe that wraps all of the latest on those bugs. We’ll try to update as we get more information….

I’m really cranky with EA! Gill never returned so I contacted EA and the guy told me they had tecnicians working on the problem and to be patient and that I’d definitely get the opportunity to purchase Duff Gardens eventually. Well so far nothing and I believe the event has passed now!! Very second rate effort EA!!
Hey, I still don’t have the Gil promo. Is that still an issue for others? I am mostly freemium player, but will occasionally kick down for a cool item…and this promo is from one of my all-time favorite episodes! EA customer service reps are, as far as I can tell, completely useless.

now EA is saying that the Gil offer has expired and that there is nothing they can do.
Oh geez…it doesn’t expire until Wednesday at the earliest…some people are really, really dumb.
It did with me. Not that it matters! Gill isn’t allowed to sell something in my Soringfield.
I think this may be the end for me. After trying to deal with EA I think i am just going to delete the game and move on. It is supposed to be a game/fun. there have been multiple EA issues lately and they are making it harder and harder to contact/reach somebody to assist.
Since it has stopped being fun (because of EA) i think its time to move on to something else.

these EA reps are really unbelievable. Reported it on on account and the woman didn’t really understand what I was saying. She kept repeating that if I purchased it and it is gone then EA would replace it….i kept telling her I hadn’t bought it yet because the offer disappeared. She finally set up a case for me.
Then tried to report it on the second account. Spent 20 minutes going round in circles with the agent telling me to contact her directly tomorrow so she can try to fix it for me today. Yet she wouldn’t give me contact information, a case number or anything else. How the heck am I supposed to contact her then? She then refused to transfer me to another agent to set up a case.
Glad to know about Skinner. I thought I was dreaming. LOL
i lost the Gil deal, did a hard restart, still gone, uninstalled/reinstalled. Still gone. now to contact EA…
Read the posts, did as suggested the other day. Yeah uninstalling. Then reinstalling worked . But I’m yet again, mobile, at work. Don’t want to use up 1/2 GB of data when I’m close enough on my plan. So guess I’m stuck not playing till I get on wifi. So what’s the freaking deal with this issue anyways? I have enough space on my phone for measly 4mb update. Did they do something to cause this? This is the real bug that needs to be fixed.
It thinks it needs the space for the whole update. It’s been like that FOREVER. Whenever a big update hits this happens. It’s been awhile since we’ve had such a massive update. (wild west)
But I don’t get how a small patch, could effect the whole thing. So I pretty much need over 1/2 gig free just to download 4mb add on? Now that’s redundant is it not
I have no idea. I don’t try to understand the why…it’s not my job to understand the why. I didn’t program it. I’m just telling you the best way to fix it…
Anyone else have their blow up Springfield button disappear?
Yesterday afternoon I was on lunch and built the Googolplex. My XP collider was already running from the other day. I rushed the job so I could see what the next quest was before I had to go back to work and like a lot of other people it started leveling up over and over and over. When I logged in after work and let my daughter play with maggie I got the Bart screen of death. After reading posts from different forums I was horrified that EA told a lot of people zeroing out was the only way to fix it and ticked off by people saying only “cheaters” were being booted. When I tried to play from both my tablet and phone was able to play until I leveled up again (after 40,000xp) then got booted. I am thrilled to say when I woke up today everything was fine. I haven’t taken advantage of the rat trap glitch. Only did it once to find out what people were talking about and it still didn’t kick me off so if your logged back in you should be ok to use ur collider and do the truck trick if u want. If anyone is still having problems I hope they are fixed soon.
The problem with EA reps is that they’re often contracted out to various call centers. I was one once and the people I worked with varied from tech savvy gamers to people who were lucky they could check their email. i really hope the training has been improved since then because honestly our largest source for troubleshooting was googling the problem. And at that time the phone and chat reps were the same people. We’d switch back and forth during a shift depending on volume. It was honestly really sad but there were some of us that truly cared and tried to help.
Gil’s still not back yet so I won’t be buying doughnuts to spend on Duff Gardens.
I’m only about half way through level 60 playing normally. 😢 Level 936 sounds like a lifetime project at this point.
Thank you for addressing the ineptitude & rudeness of the EA reps! I thought it was just happening to me. The rep I spoke with today clearly has never played the game & had no clue who Gil is or the Duff Gardens event. He told me that I was the only one who has complained about this issue & made me feel like a complete idiot for calling & wasting his time. His name is Jake, BTW.
I just passed level 60 and I still have the 40k xp goal… how is it possible? I don’t want to be lock out of the game just bc of a glitch…

I have Gil’s deal appear in the store. I have the Wild West icon. However, I don’t have the one for Springfield Heights any more!
Some of the stuff is there under buildings and decorations, but I’m only seeing one type of building from Heights… and I’m sure I’ve not maxed out on every other kind! Decorations-wise, I have Ocean Suite, Ornate Pier Bench, Ornate Pier Railing, Ornate Pier Post, Exotic Pond, Elegant Grill, Ultra Luxury Yachy and Clay Tennis Court available… again, surely missing a whole bunch?
FYI as of 10 pm EDT still have 40k requirement to level up (on Android)
My wife and I Gil’s are gone. Sigh. I had the not enough room problem and the Bart issue refresh issue. Both of those resolve but Gil yet. Deleted and downloaded again to no avail

Just noticed my Gil deal has disappeared
My game was locked out but I have a workaround it. I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it. Played a new game for about 20 minutes or so. Then signed into my main game and it let me back in. I have been playing in it all day and trying to complete the level 60 tasks. Hopefully this will help some people. It decides to not work every so often but I continue to do the same trick. Has worked for me so far. I’m no longer locked out of my game
I see the Office of Unemployment glitch is back…back to low/no characters being recognised…Should be soon fixed with a patch!
Likely because almost every single character has a quest line task to lose a bet about the final character. Once you finish that part of the quest, it should be fine.
Mine is working fine. I just used it. Do you have an outstanding task to send lots of people somewhere? That sometimes mucks things up if alot of characters have a yellow highlighted task at the top of their list.
Do you think it’s safe to visit friends yet? I have a lot of prospectors!

OK, I’m confused…I needed 30 more bandits to get to the next level, so I went to 10 neighbors, got 30 bandits with their various hats, guns, etc. When I went back to my game, none of the bandits registered. I don’t even know if the hats, guns, etc. registered, but is that supposed to happen?? I’ve been playing this game since the day it arrived on android, and have always used my neighbors towns for extra bling to upgrade my levels for these. I know of all these other bugs, but is this one too? Anyone?? Thanks!! 🙂
My neighbour visits have AFAIK never counted towards Town Plaza. upgrades – just currency
JC, I think with this event the bandits must come from your own Springfield. It will register the crafting items but not the bandits towards the levelling up. I had the very same issue. However, once I tapped bandits in my town they registered and I levelled up. I’m not sure if it’s been set up that way intentionally or if it’s a bug tho. Just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone in experiencing this….💜X
Thanks for the info! Honestly, I don’t normally pay attention to that stuff but the numbers were just right! 30 for 30…I still have not seen any deal from Gil yet, though. I’m assuming it’ll come soon enough. Thanks again!! 🙂
Unfortunately the bandits don’t count to your upgrade in other towns, the currency does just not the actua number
The XP required is still 40,000 for me, and I’m at Level 89. For once, I left my game alone for about a day and a half, logged on this morning (got the update), and leveled up about 20 times in a chain. It was crazy.

If you only have the original Skinner skin, you have store and remplaceren Skinner or Springfield Elementary.
Thought I was lucky and bug free but just noticed that I’ve lost my sit’n’rotate building! I purchased it about two weeks ago and now it’s back under the buildings list to buy again for £10m. Will report to ea.
I think I messed with the space time continuum because now I have all the holiday tasks pop up … I never had that happen to me before but I know others had mentioned having that pop up.
Had bug where Skinner automatically had the Longshot Skin but when I changed to a different Skin it cleared away which is good since I didn’t want to accidentally break my game by clicking a Longshot job.
If any of my neighbors are members here, I just want to apologize for the mass hordes of invading prospectors. I finally was able to get through for the first time since the event started and I had over 600 to unload.
In other news, I’ve cleared THREE rewards on the main prize track just today. So that’s awesome. 0.o
