Sci-Fi Prize Guide: Act 1, Prize 5 Sgt. Skinner

BEFORE we get into the Sgt. Skinner Post.  I’ve got a couple of poll questions I’d like you guys to answer about him (and unlocking him)…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The nerds have invaded Springfield!  Ok just one nerd, and he’s not all that bad.  And only in Springfield can Professor Frink, with the help of Homer, open up a black hole that transports doppelgangers, robots and Stephen Hawking (!) to our pocket sized Springfields! This multiverse event hit our devices and it’s full of alternate universe inspired decorations, buildings & characters!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Dark Matter (indicator_scifi_darkmatter) to unlock each prize!

The fifth (and final) Act 1 Prize is awarded at 24,000 indicator_scifi_darkmatter is Sgt. Skinner, because having to watch that episode wasn’t torture enough 😉 …

So let’s take a closer look at this fifth prize and just what happens when you unlock him in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 24,000 indicator_scifi_darkmatter you’ll automatically be awarded Sgt. Skinner and he’ll automatically join your Springfield…

So you will not have an option to store him.  He’ll join your Springfield immediately.

And he’s part of the Interdimensional Travellers Character Collection:

Sgt. Skinner does come with a questline, which will start right up for you once he’s joined Springfield.  Here’s a look at the Turbo Tappin’ version of his questline:

The questline will remain after Act 1 ends.  However, I do not know (because I know many of you will ask this) if the dark matter will change to Act 2 currency.  I can only assume it will..but I don’t know for sure.

  1. Hello. I still don’t have Sgt. Skinner. I was away and just missed him. My question: Since we are in Act 3 now, will he do something for me in my game if I use donuts, or is this now a ‘pass?’

  2. I was so close to getting Sgt. Skinner and then the next morning, it was GONE. I really wish the game would WARN or REMIND us with an in-your-face pop-up box that an Act is coming to a close and we have X hours to get the prizes in the current act. I might had taken extra efforts to get it. I know it warns you on the bottom of the event window on how many days left there are, but I often forget to keep an eye on that area. Oh, well.

  3. What happens at the last stage if you didn’t win the Re-Neducation centre before?

  4. This was the first time since my first event that I had a hard time getting the final prize. I’ve been tapping 3-4 times a day and going through neighbors. I had to go to bed at 10pm last night to get up for work at 5am. I needed exactly 14 pieces of dark matter to get Sgt. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes for the game to generate that. I finally got him at 10:15pm. If I’m tapping that much, I should be able to get the prize. I’m hoping they aren’t using this as another way to get use to use donuts. 🙁

  5. I got him, but I doubt I would have if I hadn’t spent donuts on Robot Burns used the Robot Burns “cheat” (until EA “fixed” it 🙁 )

  6. What a joke! Not sure how you get Sgt. Skinner without paying donuts for him. I do have a life and need to sleep more than 4 hours per night. I was clearing my Springfield at least 4 times a day and killing a min of 35 robots on the mini game. EA needs to make this right for those that played regularly.

  7. I would’ve gotten him easily if I wasn’t on vacation for a large amount of the event. Not really that sad about it, I’m happy I didn’t miss a good character.

  8. Didn’t get Skinner or the holo theatre, been on holiday with lousy wifi so I was doomed from the start!!
