Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s snowing in Springfield and that can only mean one thing…Winter has arrived!
The 2016 Winter Event hit our devices yesterday afternoon and with it arrived, not only pagans invading our pocket-sized Springfields, but a whole new questline to work our way through!
As was mentioned on the rundown post Act 1 runs until December 18th, and you’ll need Homer and Lisa and a variety of others free for a a bunch of 6s tasks to get things started.
Remember, the questline is there to guide you. So when you get stuck on something, or haven’t unlocked something, just follow along with the questline and it’ll take you through everything you need to do to complete the first Act and unlock everything you need in order to play properly.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just what happens when Springfield goes Pagan…

And that completes the Act 1 questline! Loads of funny dialogue and plenty of antlers to earn!
It does look, at least according to the files, like more tasks will be adding in the coming days. If/when that happens we’ll update this post with the additional walkthrough.

Question. Offerings at Springfield Henge. It has 13 days of offerings and after doing the hand ins to get the runes for each day it now says day 12 which is locked and Rewards change in 1 day 20 hours. This means Day 13 will not be available to get even with doing the offerings each day. So what happens do we lose out on the prize for day 13?
I got my answer by clicking on the Day 13 icon. It says Well Done.. unlock previous prizes to unlock Well Done. So it auto unlocks after you unlock day 12.
Well I have unlocked day 12, but day 13 is locked and only 22 hours left.
Is this anything to do with unlock times? Could it be that it you were slightly late to the game you don’t get all the days?
Well. it seems that the Well Done is still locked even after getting day 12 prize. now I will just have to wait for 21 hours to see what happens and if it unlocks or will the prize be lost because it’s at the very end of the allotted time.

Cannot get Springfielders to attend pagan carnival. Quest only opens when they are doing other stuff but not when idle. Help
In what order do I need to tap the singing stones?? Please help

The first line of the song is 1-4-4-5-4-3-2-2, which works, although the second line, which is what you’ll find in many of the comments, works too.
I can’t complete the task for the singing Stones and I’ve been tapping them like mad. Do I need to tap them in a specific order? Play a complete Christmas Carol on them? Any ideas?

Does anyone know if there are any other characters with antler paying tasks besides King Winter and White Witch Burns? Snow Monster, Santa’s Little Helper, Santa Flanders and Festivus CBG do not. Nor does Ebeneezer Burns.
Is it better to turn in just the four offerings for the daily gift and then save the rest for the next day, or spend as many as you can in one day? I remember there was a system like this in a previous event ( I forget which one) and I remember this question was answered, but me forget.

Bu iI think the question is, assuming one has enough currency to choose whichever box, is it better to get the better ratio by using the bigger ones, or to just focus on getting the four trade-ins dine sending as little as possible? In the past events that have used these boxes, it was easier to see what the best strategy was (and it was different in the two that I remembered), but I’m having trouble defining the best strategy for this one.

I’m confused also. My instinct is to wait until each day’s prize unlocks and then donate … then I think stuff it, I’ll just donate whenever I have enough stuff to donate … and I end up going round in circles. Maybe I’ll just donate whenever I can and if I miss out on something I can blame Alissa …
I have been turning in what i can expect my last tap of the night, which also lines up with when I tap friends gnome. Then with my first tap in the morning start all over again. Should get burns skin tomorrow looks like. I just turn in what ever I can for most amount. Based on calendar I am almost 2 days ahead (I have 26,445 antlers with 2 rounds of taps to go today). Using an average antlers collected per day I am on pace for just over 88000 antlers. This is slightly skewed as there is bonus antlers Im not getting everyday and I never know what I am going to get in Offering antlers (although starting to average them out to get a more accurate??? total). Only bonus characters i have is patches and violet
Like the last few events. If you tap 4 times a day and get as much as you can, shouldn’t be an issue. I tap 4 times a day, go on in between to tap Pegans to help keep them from maxing out as I don’t look around that hard for them.
Hey tstoaadict goddesses and god, I have been playing the event regularly for 24 hours, but still haven’t gotten the lumber mill.
I searched on how to get it, but couldn’t find the info.
Could this be a bug? Can you give details about what tasks I need to complete?
I’ve been doing the gnome and daily tasks, I have the first antler trade in prize not sure what to do.

what tasks are showing in your task book?
I just crafted and placed a chicken coop, but my multiplier didn’t go up. Will those newly assigned multipliers not show up until after the event, or what? Trying to decide whether to coop-craft my way to the next crafting level or not…
Ones you craft don’t have a multiplier.

By the way, since I’m a relatively new player and I have never experienced a past Christmas event. However, I think this event is pretty cool. I’ve seen that it has just been pretty much the same Christmas theme since the game came out. I’m glad EA is trying something new even though it has kind of backfired a little. I also like the event prizes(especially New God Burns) but that probably due to the fact that I’m still an addicts n00b and think all the prizes I can get are good, lol.

There’s supposed to be one, .5%. I kinda am thinking that EA is letting us craft many premium items this event for, IMHO, next to nothing currency… Maybe they don’t want to give us the bonus until after it’s over.
When I go to do the task of finding the Gnome in a neighbor’s town, I don’t see a gnome. It just shows the regular building collections. How will I know what to look for with the gnome? Does it show the gnome radar in a neighbor’s town? I’m not sure what to look for. Still haven’t unlocked Pagans yet in mine. Having trouble getting this event going for me.
There should be a green radar button in the top right corner. Tap that and the gnome faced radar should appear and point you in the right direction. If it’s greyed out then it’s not time to use it again yet.

Finished my Railyard tasks in one day and am ready for Christmas – er Winter!
Started playing the new update yesterday. The gnomes in in my town. I caught him once with the radar. Now it’s saying he is in my town. I upgraded his box and now there is no radar icon to find him. I looked for him every where and can’t find him :(.
Is there anything in the top right?
He is most likely still in the box (bug) even though it says he is out.
I solved it by going to Krustyland and coming back. Gnome radar works then too. (Credit to redit for the solution.)
For the person who said the items will fit better in their Halloween section… Completely agree. Really disappointed. I wanted the colorful Xmas from years past. Any way the next act will be better?

I’ll give EA credit for trying something new but as a result we have an unpopular event with an underwhelming prize track and seemingly more glitches than usual, and all of this accompanied by more grinding for reused items.
Honestly it just seems like their plan was to roll out this ‘outside the box’ event to us so that they could put everything people actually wanted (AKA the Christmas/holiday items) behind the donut paywall.
I saw something on the interwebs that said part of this update animated the bear in the bear cave. I’m not seeing him move.
I can’t figure out how to use the gnome radar.😳
Watch the arrow at the bottom of the radar…then scroll through your town, and it will change direction to guide you to the Gnome.
Made it to Yule love it pt.4. Noticed I was only getting money for completing tasks. Help!

Anyone thinking of going to the EA Forum on Tapped Out, don’t! There are literally expletive-filled posts attacking the event and anyone who likes it, not to mention several racists who hate Paganism for some reason I’m not really sure what… I’m going to stay here I think, much more polite (usually!)

I don’t like it! I like colorfull christmas! This update they should give it when they don’t have anything else to give! Worst winter eveent in the last 4years!
I’m also experiencing a problem with the gnome box. I click on the box and open it, then click do it, but nothing happens. I’m unable to bring up the gnome radar in my Springfield.
Same I can’t find this gnome any where either
